You should straight up be more worried about CCTV cameras if that is your primary concern. China which already has an operational CBDC has severely limited it's citizens access to Bitcoin but the reason for this is not so much its introduction of CBDC as its desire to limit capital flight. **That is the point of a CBDC, its centrally programmable money, its in the name, you will NOT be able to purchase Bitcoin with your CBDC for the simple reason you just described.. capital flight.** CBDCs actually pose a significant problem to the current model of Fiat profiteering the Fed operates via fractional reserve banking. Fractional reserve banking as it operates now simply cannot be operated under a CBDCs monetary system. **As a Bitcoiner, I couldn't care less about what the how the current banking system can function in a CBDC world, I can only assume the same people who run the current banking system will be promoted to run the CBDC banking system.** CBDCs do offer huge advantages in terms of security, efficiency and speed of payments. I had read his entire statement, and, in his own way, he is right. What he said, was that if had to pay a lot of money for a large chunk of real estate, that real estate will still have value. If he will purchase the whole bitcoin supply, then bitcoin it will worthless. And he is RIGHT. If only one person will own a very large chunk of bitcoin, or all the bitcoin, then yes, bitcoin will be worthless. Buffet made is fortunate by setting himself as a controller of the assets that he was buying. He wanted to be in charge. He can't do this with bitcoin. If he will acquire a large enough portion to be in charge, then he will be in charge of anything. If he will acquire a large amount of farmland, the he can control the food supply, and force a semi-monopolly. And from this point of view, bitcoin will always be EVIL for Buffet and others that follow his business strategy: there is no way of controlling it without decreasing his value.

When I first started learning about Cryptos I was super impressed that at last we can be freed from oppressive government interference. Now during this conflict the American media and the financial institutions are complying with our government to inflict injury to the Russian people. US is no less EVIL than Russia or Ukraine. We're not communicating well. I wrote in the post above I'm not saying they can make predictions down to specific percentages at 99% accuracy. But they can predict basic behavior. The CBO doesn't always get the percentages right, nor is that reasonable to expect, but they do correctly assess the long term behavior and implications The 2009 stimulus did positively impact the economy. It stopped the free fall in jobs and GDP. The recession would have been much, much worse without it. What I'm saying is they can assess behavior. You can't lump all the "eggheads" in Washington together. Some aren't eggheads. Even experts are wrong at times. What's important is that they're right more than anyone else. Only fools ignore them routinely. Washington implemented "supply side" based tax law EXCLUSIVELY for 30 years. Obama was the first president since Reagan to actually implement measures supported by mainstream economic theory and a majority of economists, instead of "economists" on the payroll of right wing partisans who were lying about they're objective. We had 30 years straight where taxes were only LOWERED on the wealthy. Meanwhile their share of the total wealth exploded, and all the while they used they're political power to dismantle regulation, dumb down the population with public education cuts, starve government to make it look ineffective, and destroy unions. Even Obama's increase on the wealthy was very small, and that took a hell of a battle. The GOP is absolutely in lockstep against raising taxes on the wealthy EVERY TIME and has been incredibly successful at doing so. They're going to do it once again with the current Biden infrastructure bill, which would have raised taxes on the wealthy. Deregulation and supply side based policy was to blame for 2008. Supply side has been disproved time and time again by data, testing, and observation. If it was true, it would be part of mainstream economic theory- because that is based on hypothesis, observation, and testing and is continuing changing based on the results like any science. The ACA was the best the Dems could do at the time. Health care prices were skyrocketing before the ACA, and the ACA did lower the trendline. Healthcare would be more expensive if it had not passed. And considering 40 million people got insured, and lifetime calls were removed, I think it was worth it. Most Dems wanted universal health care, which is proven to be much cheaper, provide longer life expectancy, eliminate lots of stress, and result in more doctor visits per year. Barely any Dems would prefer the ACA of universal healthcare. The ACA was a conservative idea to provide universal coverage. Obama wanted to bring the nation together and the GOP was 100% committed to obstruction, so there was no way to get universal healthcare passed. And Obama thought perhaps by using the conservative idea he could get conservative support. Obviously he was wrong and greatly underestimated the latent racism in the country and the shameless hypocrisy of the GOP...so the ACA didnt work like he hoped. They instead painted it as an example of extreme liberalism and government overreach and used it effectively as a weapon. Almost no one, to this day, is actually aware of how it affected the country and lowered health care costs, and they blame it for the rising costs. It's important to note that the ACA was a political bill, not an economic bill. Economists did say it would lower health care costs (lower as in they won't rise as fast) and they were correct. But they said the costs benefits would be dependent on how many people got enrolled. So the GOP went to extreme lengths to make sure enrollment stayed low so it would fail. That's EVIL. All 30 GOP governors turned away federal funds for Medicaid expansion, letting their poor die to meet a political objective. Right wing media and candidates attacked the ACA nonstop and encouraged people not to sign up. Trump got the individual mandate tossed out. All of these things reduced the overall cost savings. Paying attention a little to the news and history is more than most people manage, but the devil is in the details. I follow every bill and watch the outcome, and I've never seen economists be wrong about the long term impact of a major bill. Every time the GOP has cut taxes, they've sold it by saying it would actually reduce deficits and grow the GDP. And in every case it hasnt stimulated the GDP more than a tenth of a percentage, and cut a huge amount for the wealthy while leaving middle class families with a few hundred bucks. Every major tax cut bill passed by the GOP is a scam sold on lies, and every time the public buys their bullshit. People dont pay attention and have short memories. We could easily make our economy and country 10x better. We know how to do it. Don't be one of the people who doesnt bother to learn the details because they only read one side of an argument. I spend more time reading right wing media than mainstream and almost never read left wing for this reason. Right wing policy is almost all based on lies at this point. It's been moving in that direction for years, but now it's an alternate reality. Smart people are the only hope for this country, so if you're smart please consider what I'm saying and research it to see if you agree.

Cool, it's nice to hear from people actually inside the country, since you basically hear nothing about it other than BITCOIN BAD BUKELE EVIL from regular media. I think it's a case of he figured he was popular enough and had enough control in the country to ram through a controversial thing like Bitcoin and just take ownership of it, which I think is both cool and worrying at the same time since he obviously doesn't care about appearing corrupt whatsoever. Honestly though, with all the puppet leaders installed worldwide the last few decades, leaders are all going to have some sort of skeletons in their closet or some way they rose to power that people don't like, so someone like Bukele or Duterte trying wild things to solve big problems doesn't bother me so much.
