I stopped using ETH a long time ago. L2's are too much of a PITA to use except BASE because of the great Coinbase wallet. I hold ETH only for "number go up". It is unusable for anything else but buying, keeping on an exchange, and then dumping at the end of the cycle. I use Solana everyday, however regardless of the point in the cycle.

ETH may do ok this cycle because of the ETF narrative, and all Alts are just speculation right now, but make no mistake, it needs BASE to save it from irrelevance after Alts actually are used. If Coinbase changes their architecture to be a standalone layer 1, I don’t see a future for ETH.

So the thing is, I work in financial services consulting right? In the following traditional banking is the focus. There are billions of people who have no insulation from fiat currency manipulation, no safe way to protect funds from theft, no interest earning or bearing accounts. No hope for retirement, no direct deposit, no checking, no automated financial convenience, and no hope of banks servicing them due to local infrastructure and security concerns as well. With Bitcoin + BASE usd etc they have access to a reliable fiat transmission system and a savings account that is substantially more stable compared to local currency, with 24/7 transmission and very difficult to steal store of value. Parents can’t confiscate funds their children earn anymore as well, which is a common way kids are trapped in poverty in Africa.

So your big use case for bitcoin over alts is that is has a pegged price (it doesn't. It's very volatile). And that it's the best for P2P transactions. Which again it's not. I don’t think people realize how rare it is for old coin to get back to previous ATHs. PoS coins all have more coins than they had the previous cycle and more bag holders looking to break even. Solana actually is no different but it picked up a meme coin narrative this cycle so it is doing ok…for now. So to reach ATH again, an Alt must have massive real development or be a part of the cycle narrative. MATIC not only is now competing with other compelling layer 2’s, but one that is free by the most significant exchange in the space, BASE. Add to the fact that 80% of MATIC is in the hands of the top 10% of holders, and you have makings of the next irrelevant Alt, Loopring-style.

Scaling a blockchain exclusively with L2s is a terrible idea. Horrible UX due to fragmentation, terrible economics & worse trust trade-offs! They just push users into centralization. L2 Centralization: Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Blast, Mantle, Starknet & ZkSync all have admin keys! This means they can steal all users' funds right now; this is true for all of the top L2s... If this is considered safe, then we might as well go back to legacy banking! "L2 scaling" advocates depend on the claim that these L2s will decentralize one day. This will never happen as decentralizing requires powerful parties to surrender their power. Coinbase's L2; BASE is the perfect example to illustrate this. Coinbase made over $40M of revenue off BASE this year" .Decentralizing" BASE would require Coinbase to entirely give up on that revenue, it is unrealistic to expect the board of a for-profit company to do that!

Farcaster is NOT actually decentralized. That's the biggest problem with Farcaster. Now they have all this money and it's built on top of a huge lie. The smart contracts have admin permissions. That is they are all owned by an admin account that has godlike powers. You can look up their contracts on their github. They use the oppen zeppelen "ownable" library to have these admin privileges. What do the privileges let them do? They let them change the contracts and decide who is allow to make new accounts on the network. Yes they may \_exist\_ on a decentralized infrastructure (not even getting into how not-decentralized BASE is) but everything leads back to a single point of control. The worst part about all of this is that since they are misleading the public it's all going to come crashing down as a talking point for critics when they find out about these huge glaring holes. It's the same as when people realized royalties were not built into NFTs or that most of the data was saved elsewhere. That became the entire argument of the critics. The ironic part about all of this is that no one even NEEDED farcaster to create a social network out of blockchain. It already exists! They are essentially adding friction to a decentralized identity network that doesn't need another decentralized identity network! People already post lots of data to blockchains. All it would take is for someone to collate that data into a feed. You don't need to put feeds or friends into a smart contract. Farcaster is essentially leading desoc down the wrong path. Lens might be a little bit better, but the fact they they are invite-only displays a level of control that should not be tolerated for any network calling itself decentralized. At the very least they cannot call themselves permissionless, which in my opinion is the whole point of all of this in the firstplace. How could they fix it? Make a permissionless set of unalterable smart contracts that anyone can use. Why don't they want to do this? Because if they don't act as gate keeper they can't make any money from it. Farcaster is a wolf in sheeps clothing and not where we want to be for DeSoc.

You would YouTube how to transfer say USDC to either USDC Base or ETH tied to BASE. It’s easy. This is then in your wallet and there’s nothing stopping or illegal for you to use DEX. Most of my investments are done through DEX anyways even though I’m US Coinbase customer. The micro caps aren’t listed until way down the line. 6+ months…if at all. So basically you won’t have access to the smart wallet via CoinBase but you can still buy/sell just like me right now, just maybe a few more steps involved.

No worries, I fell in the rabbit hole about 9 months ago and have spent hundreds and hundreds of hours looking into BASE ecosystem. It is without a doubt the largest driver this retail season. I personally don’t because of fear.. plain and simple. As an example, I bought $1,500 ROOST a few weeks ago and just put another $1,000 in just now so I lowered my entry by 35%. I would have been stopped out on leverage awhile ago. Instead that now $2,500 should go to 30X. The upside to me is worth way more than losing $2,500. Check out PEEZY, it’s a newer project that’s supported by BASE and COinBase. Directly speaks and ties the smart wallet tech right in its website.

There are professional encryption softwares that can do the encryption for you, but those give you the keys which decrypt the texts. You could go that route But i just like to keep things simple because using softwares like those can give away that youre hiding something. I just use online tools to encode and remember the pattern of strings to decode. You can use something like https://dencode.com/en/string Example: you can use UTF-16 to encode the word "Fear" into a hexstring, and then encode the hexstring into something like base64 with UTF-8. Now you have double encoded the word "fear" with UTF-16>HEXSTRING>UTF-8>BASE64 Go to your cloud storage like googledrive, onedrive etc where you loads of pictures backed up. Download one of the picture and edit them with a notepad. You will essentially copy paste the raw code that you double encoded there and save it back on to your cloudstorage. You can use following command(Windows command prompt) Create a text file with your message, say "message.txt" Now choose target file(it can be any file like a.jpg,a.png,a.exe,..etc), say "image.jpg" Now execute follwing command copy /b "image.jpg"+"message.txt" "NewImage.jpg" Above command will combine files(in binary mode) and creats a new file(in this case NewImage.jpg). Now if anyone opens image they will just see noraml image. If you want to look at text, you have open it with any text editor(Notepad) and scroll down to last, there you can find text. Here it wont chage any pixels or any thing to image, it just appends text to image.

ALb check out the r/Alienbase sub for info and how to buy. in short its a microcap less than $20m, on BASE, BASE is still very news, but its Coinbases world, so it will pick up. its had a strong rise up recently so maybe DCA. but at $20m and with a potential coinbase listing in future, theres a lot of headroom like i said not trying to shill.. just thought Id share. its a very solid project, and invested in by coinbase ventures, BASE does not have a native token so liquidity is pooled through AERO, sky is the limit my friend.... possibly even higher than UNISWAP ATH.

I'v been watching the following for dips: -Aioz for AI. Lowest marketcap of the bigger AI players with several big things still scheduled to release this year, one of which is an AI marketplace. -Aero for the narrative that it'll be BASES platform and might be able to reach the likes of Near, sol and uniswap once Coinbase launches their wallet and as BASE continues to grow. -RENDER because it's Render and partnered with StabiliityAI. -ONDO because the RWA narrative is pretty strong and blackrock is planning to tokenize assets.
