Mass adoption I wouldn't call it like that. Years ago forbidden any usage of money besides Bolivares, so people had to adapt and then Bitcoin (with LocalBitcoins) showed up. Also as electricity is almost free there is a big mining community. Government launched their own crypto called the "Petro" (V1 was a scam, V2 is "ok"), so they spend a lot of money explaining cryptocurrencies. His initials swapped NS -> Satohisi Nakamoto 2. he invented bit gold a precursor to bitcoin 3. he defined smart contracts 14 years before bitcoin 4. 5 years before bitcoin he theorized bits having value through proof of work 5. he knew and was friends with Hal Finney The list goes on as well.
