i had this theory personally, could he be as his initials are reversed purposely? NS <> SN
Just because someone has the skills to do something doesn't mean they did it. Hal Finney ended up writing more code than Satoshi. What makes more sense, that a guy who never really liked crypto currency woke up one day and decided to make bitcoin or that a guy who obsessively tried to make crypto currency, called a project bit gold, and then figured out how to put it all together while calling on a better programmer, Hal Finney, to make it work? The story doesn't add up for Len. He has no motivation. He's not the kind of person who makes bitcoin. Nick Szabo is. Nick Szabo's initials are literally NS. Satoshi actually signed his name NS before and Hal Finney had to jump in and say it was because in Japan they put they surname first. Hal Finney had to cover for him. I'm a computer programmer. I have been for 25 years. I've had countless "idea guys" come to me to make software. Vitalik Buterin is an "idea guy." Vitalik is not a programmer. He has some skills, but he's not the guy who programmed Ethereum. Gavin Wood is. This is a story as old as time. Nick Szabo struggles to make bit gold for years and years and years and finally decides he needs more help. The financial crisis hits and he says this needs to happen. He reaches out to Hal Finney, possibly Adam Back is in on it as well, but this is Nick Szabo's baby, hence the name. Nick programs what he can, but Hal provides the programming power. The case for Nick Szabo is so simple and simple is usually correct. In your reasoning you say you don't know anything about Adam Back. If you research him you'll find he has a lot more credible case than Len. Adam made an almost identical system to bitcoin called Hash Cash. Bitcoin even used his hashing algorithm. Satoshi even contact Adam around the same time as Hal. There is no way Satoshi isn't Adam, Wei Dai, Hal or Nick. The only reason I think it wasn't Adam was because hashcash was already functioning at the time and Bit Gold wasn't. Adam would have just called Bitcoin Hashcash 2.0 if it was him. Bitcoin is essentially the working version of Bit Gold. Len Sassaman was not mixed up in this group. He frequented the same forums, but that is where the evidence ends. Satoshi Nakamoto are literally just Nick Szabos initials backwards. Bitcoin is literally just Bit Gold. It's almost too easy. Take it from this lingustics professor: "Dr. Jack Grieve, a lecturer in forensic linguistics at Aston, said: "The number of linguistic similarities between Szabo’s writing and the Bitcoin paper is uncanny, none of the other possible authors were anywhere near as good of a match. We are pretty confident that out of the primary suspects Nick Szabo is the main author of the paper, though we can’t rule out the possibility that others contributed." --https://www.businessinsider.com/nick-szabo-bitcoin-2014-4 I think a lot of people who think it was Len are stuck on the idea that Len is a cryptographer who killed himself around the time Satoshi vanished and just haven't don't much research. You yourself said you don't even know much about Adam Back. I think if you dig a little deeper you will probably change your mind. The answer to Satoshi is occam's razor, the simplest solution is the correct one. Just go read Nick Szabo's blogs from around the time bitcoin was created and it's all you ever need. He is Satoshi. He was obsessed with creating bitcoin and then made it. If you read his tweets, he still just tweets about how much he hates banks. The man was on a mission and he knew the ramifications of all of it, hence the pseudonym. You could't find a man who was more aware of what bitcoin would mean to the world. From the federal reserve economic department: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS
I don't think we're on the verge of any massive money printing soon. If you look at this M2 chart: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M2NS You'll see we're still well above the trend line. If M2 remains relatively flat the trend will catch up in late 2025/early 2026. That's when I expect things to get really interesting.
If you’re talking about monetary inflation, and not PCE or CPI inflation, then you can use Fed data: https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS Since 1980 (44 years), the M2 money supply has grown from $1.60 Trillion to $20.95 Trillion. That’s 1,200% inflation over 44 years, or 27% per year on average. More recently, Since May 2019 (5 years), M2 grew from $14.55T to $20.95T. That’s 44% in 5 years, or 8.8% per year on average.
https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M2NS https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/M2V You are an idiot.
Your online tax calculator example was for Alberta, but it spits out wrong results for all the other provinces too. So it's still definitely wrong. Of course none of the calculators take into account every person's unique deductions, they just do the basic ones everybody gets. It can't give the other various case-specific deductions to anybody to reduce their effective tax rates, so the result we see is probably a bit higher than average paid. Not lower. For the $125k income example we have been discussing, the TurboTax calculator shows that AB average tax rate is indeed lower than Canada's average, but not by much. BC, NT, and NU are all lower than AB. No province has anything over 30%: AB 24.43% BC 23.55% MB 28.63% NB 27.90% NL 28.43% NT 23.82% NS 30.15% NU 21.88% ON 25.61% PE 29.58% QC 29.71% SK 26.31% YT 23.55% Average by province: 26.43% "The government feels entitled to almost 50% of any extra money you make." You sound pretty salty for somebody who makes "way less than $125K". If your income is $80k, then your *combined* federal and provincial marginal rate is like 30%, and you actually pay around 20%. You'd have to be making over 3 times as much income to see marginal rates even close to 50%, and then you'd actually be paying 32% average.
And importantly, to then walk away from i. Because if NS was famous, Bitcoin would have not worked.
Here... you can see the impacts of covid stimulus and monetary policy from COVID... and the monetary tightening to fight inflation. The fed isn't some secret cabal. All of their models and data are more or less open source if you can read some papers. [https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS](https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS)
NS and other intelligent agencies alike are most likely under the impression that AES and RSA will be reversible someday with quantum computers. Not SHA-256. It’s mathematically impossible to assume a reversed a 256bit hash (or 32 character string) can hold data much much larger the hash itself. If I hash 1GB of text, there’s absolutely no way to reverse the original 1GB of data out of 256bits.

We're not obsessed with the economy. We're obsessed with this. [https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS](https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS) They keep making dollars faster than bitcoin, and that's why we'd rather have BTC.

Very good point and more proof that NS=SN.
Satoshi Nakamoto is made of two persons. The Satoshi Nakamoto who submitted the Bitcoin whitepaper was **N**ick **S**zabo. Japanese name is written in reverse so it's **N**akamoto **S**atoshi. He picked this name as to get the same initials **NS** on the whitepaper while not having to reveal his full name. Then who's the Satoshi Nakamoto the coder? He's not Nick Szabo. He committed suicide back in 2010/2011. He's Len Sassaman. He's not the visionary who came up with Bitcoin whitepaper but he's the vessel to code the first bitcoin client. The Bitcoin second man was Martti Malmi (alive). He got to test bitcoin client and mined thousands of Bitcoin on his laptop. Martti Malmi was the one who register [Bitcoin.org](http://Bitcoin.org) and ran the forum.
Yeah, the article I read pointing to NS focused on writing style, but the really interesting detail was that he was actively writing about using cryptography for digital money right up to the creation of bitcoin, but then fell silent and had nothing to say when bitcoin was created. IMO, that only makes sense if he was involved with creating bitcoin.
Writing style, geographic day night cycle, naming scheme, choice of pseudonym, name of the actual project, obsession with the subject matter, several attempts already... The speculation about other people is kind of a joke at this point. I'm sure NS is probably as just as shocked to see so many people still throwing out other names. I am.
The math? Look at [this chart of the monetary base](https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/BOGMBASE). Before 2008, that line that looks pretty flat is 6% monetary inflation/year. When it spikes up, that's over double the monetary inflation: ~13%/year. Since banks no longer have meaningful reserve requirements, [m2 money](https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS) might be a better metric. Again, 6%/year increase before the spike in 2020. After 2020 similarly about 12%/year. The more dollars there are, the more yours are worth. So traditionally in "good times", your dollars were burning 6% of their value every year. Now its more than double that.
This is the full text: "You can send to my Bitcoin address if you want to, but you won't get to see the full transfer sequence: 1NSwywA5Dvuyw89sfs3oLPvLiDNGf48cPD (1NS = 1 Nakamoto Satoshi) You could always findstr /c:"version message" debug.log and send a test to some random person you're connected to near the end of the list. The ones ending in port 8333 can receive connections. I just thought of something. Eventually there'll be some interest in brute force scanning bitcoin addresses to find one with the first few characters customized to your name, kind of like getting a phone number that spells out something. Just by chance I have my initials."
> don’t we all agree that it’s just NS, WD, and HF We (not you) all agree that only trolls care about naming Satoshi
Just as it is obvious to you that NS is part of Nakamoto, it is perhaps obvious to your brother that Nakamoto is dead. Neither of you have any evidence, so both are speculations based on some limited clues. Do not dismiss other people's opinion thinking yours is superior when you do not have more than they have to support it. For example, if Nakamoto was cypherpunk, why is it so unlikely from your perspective that he was very familiar with work of NS? This does not imply NS was part of the group or was the man himself. It just means that if you are interested in things, it is likely you know people who are also interested in the same things.
you don't see all this progress with AI and wonder about security? I think that quantum computing was a bigger threat, but computers are still changing fast. banks are less secure, governments are less secure, but it still feels like a risk. I'd rather steal from NS than the IRS, even if one is easier than the other!
They invested in crypto indirectly (https://www.coindesk.com/business/2022/03/21/ray-dalios-bridgewater-investing-in-crypto-fund-sources/) and he himself bought some bitcoin, he just always recommended taking a balanced approach by owning both bitcoin and gold (https://www.coindesk.com/markets/2021/05/24/ray-dalio-i-have-some-bitcoin/?_gl=1*1ln89v7*_up*MQ..*_ga*MTEwOTc5OTI2NS4xNzA3MzI4MDYw*_ga_VM3STRYVN8*MTcwNzMyODA1OS4xLjAuMTcwNzMyODA1OS4wLjAuMA..)

>The SP500 is up 50% without counting dividends since 2020 Where exactly did you get 50? It's 33% from Jan 2020 to Jan 2023. >assuming that real inflation is 40% (which I'd contest is certainly not consensus) M2 supply expanded by [38%](https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS) in the same amount of time, and I doubt tacking on dividends would push that over 40. And even if it does, congrats. You just barely managed to scrape by. I would not call that beating real inflation by any stretch but you do you.

I'm looking at the M2 chart, which is "WM2NS" on TradingView. > What Is M2? >M2 is the U.S. Federal Reserve's estimate of the total money supply including all of the cash people have on hand plus all of the money deposited in checking accounts, savings accounts, and other short-term saving vehicles such as certificates of deposit (CDs). Retirement account balances and time deposits above $100,000 are omitted from M2.
Not accurate, look into NS is SN and SN ultimately being a pseudonymous group of cypherpunks including Nick Szabo, Hal finney, Adam back etc.. that created Bitcoin. For what it's worth It doesn't matter, for Bitcoin was, is and will be flourishing and thriving with or without a central authority. One thing is for damn sure and proven though, that brainless, scam fella know as Graig is no Satoshi Nakamoto.

BTC via mining with NS. Complemented with buying with credit card whenever I was allowed (by the operators, cause lord know they like to block stuff instantly). Branched into ETH. Moved into smaller coins. Gambled on LRC for a while. Made some decent change when Luna was about to freeze trading and then returned. Fun times. Now I keep stuff on ol' reliable; BTC and ETH.
What about MO-O-NS, better symmetry
MOO-NS or MO-ON. Asking since your ass is divided in two parts.

Nope. Try again. Hint: hus initials are NS.
It's easy to research if you wanna know. Look for older vids from 2010 thru 2014. A ton of evidence points to one person way more than any other. Go down the rabbit hole if tou want to know. Just know that the further you get from bitcoins release, the more distortedand diluted info becomes. I recommend older sources for better accuracy. NS.
A bunch of early bitcoiners know who Satoshi is. Evidence was pretty easy to find back in the day. It's been distorted over time, but if tou watch alot of older videos on Satoshi, you can piece together his identity to relative certainty. His initials are NS.

NS&I is a state bank of the UK owned fully by HM Government. So that is genuine but their rates aren’t quite as good as elsewhere (because lower risk)
In the UK if you put your money in the NS&I it's 100% secure\[1\] (for some definition of secure). \[1\] [https://www.nsandi.com/](https://www.nsandi.com/) scroll to bottom to see item (1), which says "Most banks only guarantee your savings up to £85k. We’re the only provider that secures 100% of your savings, however much you invest."
Article suggest I think putting into things like Premium Bonds and such (NS&I) perhaps. Agree where do you put it? When my grandfather passed last year he didn’t believe in banks and we found a suitcase just full of cash. If someone had broken in he could have lost thousands while he was alive.
>Probably one of the smartest persons that ever lived Not the greatest cryptographer, there were better cryptographers. But a polymath without peer. Many cypherpunks suspected that he was probably an outsider who just came in and solved a problem that had eluded them for decades by understanding cryptography was only a small part of the solution. His ability to respond to critiques from such diverse intellectual domains and schools of thought outside cryptography, especially economics and game theory, set him apart from all other cypherpunks. The only cypherpunk close to SN in terms of sheer breadth of knowledge is NS (Nick Szabo).
way to expend the excess energy especially after that NS2 incident.

>cryptography nerd There were better cryptographers than Satoshi. What set Satoshi apart from cypherpunks was his knowledge in so many other aspects required to, especially economics and game theory. Many cypherpunks suspected that he was probably an outsider who just came in and solved a problem that had eluded them for decades. Satoshi was a ridiculously gifted polymath. His ability to respond to critiques about bitcoin from such diverse intellectual domains and schools of thought outside cryptography set him apart from all other cypherpunks. The only cypherpunk that was close to SN in terms of sheer breadth of knowledge was NS (Nick Szabo).

Noted! Just trated all my BTC & ETH for M🌝🌝NS
You by happen aren't in Halifax,NS we have an RV/Bike show this weekend
NS: There’s some kind of general respect for the laws of physics, which must be present for a metaverse to exist at all. Since this was a cyberpunk novel, there had to be hackers who hack something, which is why we see Hiro and other characters finding ways to circumvent these rules and make their own workarounds.
Its astounding how much stuff NS called in 1990 in Snow Crash. The 2 main characters are basically gig workers. This book inspired many of the devs who built the things we use everyday from video games to apps to crypto. For tech nerds this is our Catcher in the Rye, On the Road, or Count of Monte Cristo.
Apart from the chrome pink lambo with M00NS1 as the numberplate.
Numbers don't lie, but people do. If you look at the note under the M1 chart, we can see there was a change in the measurement in May 2020, where the "massive spike" occurs. Previously savings accounts were not included in the M1 measure. Afterwards, savings accounts are included in the M1 measure. This is the cause of the "massive spike". To demonstrate this, we can look at [the M2 money supply chart](https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS). Notice how there is no such sharp 400% increase in May 2020. The change is more granular and gradual.
Not for me, would’ve been easier to just use M00NS
🥶 no it's actually been extremely mild this winter It was just 13 degrees Monday 🤣.....crazy temperature swing tho with this cold front. I'm actually in Halifax, NS close to Maine you could say. Our winter has been warm than normal I honestly haven't seen it so mild but these past two days are ridiculous.
Co-founder doesn’t mean he was involved in the technical aspect. Satoshi Nakamoto is Nick Szabo. 1. Bit Gold is basically Bitcoin. 2. Nick Szabo changed the date on his 2005 Bit Gold blogpost to make it appear like it was written after Bitcoin came out 2. Satoshi Nakamoto and Nick Szabo share the same birthday (April 5th). 3. Satoshi Nakamoto and Nick Szabo both use double spaces between sentences. 4. Satoshi Nakamoto and Nick Szabo have the same initials (NS — in Japan culture initials are lastname-firstname) 5. Those initials were included in one of the few known Satoshi Addresses where he actually mentioned the address starting with his initials (1NS…) I can link you to way more that points to Nick Szabo being Satoshi Nakamoto once I’m on my pc.
Scam, they just riding you for a final $200 goodbye. > Nick Szabo is mentally unwell and racist (actually tweets about far right shit and supports pro white supremacist things) Agreed > No way is NS Satoshi. IDK, I mean Szabo used to be a lot more lucid when he was younger, and he is/was smart enough to pose as someone else. I don't think it can be ruled out anyway.
No way. Nick Szabo is mentally unwell and racist. No way is NS Satoshi.
> Can we all agree that the real satoshi will never be found. Probably true, but Satoshi Nakamoto may well be Nick Szabo (SN = NS), who is still alive and who presumably could prove he is Satoshi if he wanted to. He may also have slipped up somewhere in hiding his tracks and be found out.
I personally think it’s Nick Szabo, specifically because of the time frame he went dark on his blog was extremely similar to the time frame of Bitcoin development, the fact Satoshi mentions loving the fact the address he had at the time involved their initials (1NS) and that Nick created BitGold almost 10 years before hand. It’s also pretty well known that Nick Szabo was and continues to be HUGE in the cryptography group.
Personally, I think Satoshi involved Nick Szabo also. The time line and him dropping off the face of the earth including his blog during development period makes it way more plausible, as well as their writing style and the fact that Satoshi said they loved their public key because it included their initials (1NS)
🤣 no Halifax, NS $700,000 house is nothing here bud average cost is probably 600k
I believe this also. The timing with him going silent on his blog during development, him stating he liked his wallet (1NS) because it contained his initials, the fact that Nick and Hal Finney were VERY close, Nick created BitGold which is almost identical to Bitcoin roughly 10 years before. It just all lines up.

Can you really believe this after they magik trillions of dollars into existence during 2020/21? Money isn't printed willy-nilly it's printed when they need it to prop the system up because too many banks were over leveraged. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/graph/fredgraph.png?id=WM2NS&nsh=1
Total supply of US dollars is going down. At least for now. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS#
Another example of the despair phase of the [capitulation chart.](https://ei.marketwatch.com/Multimedia/2020/04/22/Photos/NS/MW-IE963_mc2004_20200422103601_NS.jpg?uuid=96dc64ca-84a6-11ea-8471-9c8e992d421e) We're all down 50%-ish currently.
There is only one saviour in a time like this, Lord Buckhethead will come to our rescue have no fear /NS

Using a quote from the NS-time against the holocaust for crypto? Just shows on what mental level dergigi is.
50 cent would like a word with you ![gif](giphy|mmRmDX9Y3Q7NS)
Have good week end, Thanksgiving weekend where I'm from u/halifax,NS I'm thank for the gains we'll see in the future
>One leads to representation (in theory) while the other does not. One is explicit and out in the open while the other is not. 1) Representation is a dangerous MYTH. Politicians only represent the lobbyists who fund their campaigns, the same way lawyers only represent those who pay them. Unironically, many politicians are also lawyers. 2) Currency debasement is no less explicit than taxes. One can just as easily observe money supply as they can tax rates. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/WM2NS

Bought USD stablecoin with EUR at 1€ = $1,0011 One day later, it's now at $1,0073 Markets now appearantly love gas uncertainty (current gas stop NS1) and record inflation in EUR countries Sometimes I think I should just not do anything at all, as always the opposite happens no matter what
I like how you typed it out as M00NS to work around the automod haha
