Does the sub have a rule about speculating who created bitcoin? I mean the linguistics analysis certainly seems to hold allot of credibility, especially considering Szabo isn't referenced in it. Unless SN plagarised and copied some of his terminology without referenncing it.

There is no encryption in bitcoin. Algos selected were not necessarily pro or anti NSA, but more so copyright/trademark free. SN didn't spend much since originally mined block rewards attributed to him still have not moved. Did you or someone you hired find an issue with the algorithms used? Because there's a lot of eyes on all that stuff and nobody found anything catastrophic yet. Surveillance of populations is a major issue but bitcoin does not fix any of it. What was your concern again?
"Confirms" is the wrong word here. They didn't confirm anything since they don't know who SN is in the first place. They just found the evidence insufficient to prove that he is SN, for now.

They can crack it 100% there is no doubt about that in my mind. It's just a matter of when not if. And in regards to them targeting other less secure sites, that's valid but doesn't mean Bitcoin is safe. One reason they might prefer bitcoin is bcs it's free money sitting and waiting for someone to just scoop it up. Whole hacking the global banking systems will cripple everyone, even china, so they might not wanna test the waters, While btc will be contained and there is currently no one claiming SN account so no one will be hurt by some hacker taking the money there. It's a moral thing.

He may well have been known to SN, but as far as I know there are two types of energy. The first is measured in Joules, the second is given off by stones and used by new-age health gurus to excite your chakras. This certainly is the first type.

I've never been cut by bitcoin except when I had to sell to pay for financial mistakes I've made in my life. When it rises so does my regret at having sold. Still, it freed me from being a slave to the grind for a while. I will always be grateful and thankful to SN The 1% will destroy any threats to their dominance and if they cannot they will just throw money at it to own it. Right now is phase 2 imo. Good luck all

I’ve seen other emails posted indicating that SN acknowledges that to scale up there may need to be additional layers to handle the size of transactions and that there were ways to build it that should be fine.

Took my reply right out of my mouth….almost. I won’t say Len was definitely SN, and think it’s better that we never know. However, I feel he is most likely, despite his twitter messages in the few years before he died….however, he died (suicide or not).

The biggest clue that CW isn’t SN is CW personality. He is attention seeking and self serving, antithetical to Satoshi. Creating a protocol and leaving is a demonstration of selflessness. CW could never be Satoshi because his ego would’ve never allowed him to leave 15 years ago.

Dave Kleiman was Satoshi. After he died, CW slid into his shoes and assumed the identity of SN. Dave's laptop and phone were left to his brother Ira. Ira's wife wanted a laptop so he formatted the hard drive and gave it to her. He gave the 'phone away. It took CW a few years to stop making basic mistakes about bitcoin. His only route to those early coins now is to ask a Court to compel the Core Developers to assign them to him (hence the dogged pursuit of the SN identity). Prove me wrong. There is no satoshi address with 1 million bitcoins. It's a myth that SN owns that many and the bitcoins attributed to him are in many addresses with 50 BTC each, the original mining reward amount. There's no need to break the "bitcoin protocol" whatever people think that is, pushing glasses up on their nose when they say it. It's an ecdsa key pair.

In an email exchange with Hal Satoshi comments that the address he randomly pulled started with 'SN' which were his 'initials backwards.' Nick is not cited in the white paper in spite of clear similarities between Bitcoin and Bitgold. There are also certain quips and phrases in both white papers. Satoshi put multiple spaces between sentences, so he learned to type on a typewriter (monospaced fonts). Nick's the right age. Nick's forum / new group posts go dark the months leading up to Bitcoin's January launch.
Everyone knows the address of genesis block. Anyone can send bitcoins to that address whether SN is around or not. No one can prevent this.

In the worst case, you might be able to recover by eroding away the area where the leters were stamped. I forget the name for it, but when you stamp the metal, it creates more grain boundaries for corrosion to attack. It's the same process they use to get serial numbers from a gun that had the SN filed down.

What reason would I have? SN clearly designed BTC in a way that requires everyone working with BTC to decide the block size and to do that we clearly need to talk about wether we need to increase it. There is a reason that rewards and difficulty are designed to increase automatically and blocksize isnt. It’s becuz the right blocksize is hard to predict since technological developments and prices for harddrives and such are difficult to predict and it influences not only transaction fees but mining rewards and decentralization. We need to constantly talk about this and being depicted as anti BTC for saying that is insane. It’s anti BTC to not talk about it.

The date you picked is way way too early. 50K coins would be about half of all BTC in existence by the date of your alleged deal. First few miners were SN, and a few other people. There is no way that any investment firm could possibly have 50000 coins to sell, and not even 8400 coins. But to humor you on details.. that deal was valued at the price then, not price now. Your "legal team" loves this if they are charging you by the hour. You got refunded for btc you didn't receive so that's great. BUT you lost track of 8400 alleged BTC which were sent to your wallet which only you set up. Not relevant to microsoft or to any blockchain explorers, or emails. The keys for these coins could only be in wallet.dat from early version of bitcoin core which was called qt or something back then.
No idea about SN and their hidden coins, but the story about a guy who junked his laptop while holding BTC was funny and sad at the same time. Poor guy thought it was a waste and when BTC took off he realised his blunder. Offered a million to whoever traced his laptop in some massive junkyard of computer parts somewhere.
This is why I wouldn't be surprised to find out SN came here from the future where BTC is worth millions per Bitcoin and 30 years from now he's going to reappear and take over the world.

Bitcoin does not have pristine history. It would not be a contentious fix so convincing shouldn't be difficult. Best to fix sooner than later. No it's not likely SN thought of this. You're talking about storing block numbers 5.1+ million blocks in the future.
I agree this is a major risk and nobody has addressed it. The identity of SN has never been established. "SN" could move a lot of coins whenever he (or should I say "it") wants. Who created SHA-256 in the first place? Who's got the best and brightest minds in the world working on cryptography, since the Second World War? Who's got practically unlimited funding to research this field? Who's got a reason to need ways to covertly fund operations in other countries? Who's also got a reason to onboard other countries and then rugpull them? You see what I'm getting at?
There were and are very bright people around, but these days they all seem to shun the limelight. We get exposed to very dumb people instead, via the media and social media. Then we think it's the norm. However, there are people who can learn a language to fluency level in 2 weeks. That said, the rabbit hole of SN's identity is deep. SN definitely wasn't just one dude.

There are a couple of people who could say, with absolute definitive accuracy, who Satoshi Nakamoto is/was. They're not saying anything. I sometimes wonder why that is. Maybe it's their view that SN has simply completed his job and it serves no purpose to clear up the matter of his identity for us. Or maybe they're afraid of something.
Such a lazy theory to think that HF is SN just because he was around at the time. There's tons of anonymity in crypto, look at all the hacks that get away on a weekly basis, never to be identified.

Not accurate, look into NS is SN and SN ultimately being a pseudonymous group of cypherpunks including Nick Szabo, Hal finney, Adam back etc.. that created Bitcoin. For what it's worth It doesn't matter, for Bitcoin was, is and will be flourishing and thriving with or without a central authority. One thing is for damn sure and proven though, that brainless, scam fella know as Graig is no Satoshi Nakamoto.
It obviously wasn’t Hal for a plethora of reasons including him not having the worst case of schizophrenia in human history. That’s what it would have taken for him to carry on those conversations for years. DHS and some of the original cyberpunks know exactly who Satoshi is, they met for a meeting several years ago in California. It’s unclear if we’ll ever be definitively informed who SN is, but, my suspicion is grounded in relentless research and while I won’t say who I believe it is, logic and facts exclude Hal as a possibility.

Yeh its def possible Polygon does one but I don't think it's anywhere near as sure a thing as ZKS, SN, LINEA, L0 etc. There was a quote recently from either the founder saying something about no rules regarding existing protocols doing a big airdrop, and while it was clear he was just trying to get some hype and volume to Polygon, it def got me more interested. Anyways we'll have to see and all you can do is do a few accounts and move a lil eth over and do a few tasks it isn't much effort so it's certainly worth paying $20 in gas etc. To hope for an AD. Having said that I've barely done more than a few transactions on BASE and doubt I do more than that at all, maybe if I get inspired one day I'll do one account properly on it but currently not much inspiration.
I'm not rly sure about Polygon. My original thinking was def not, but then the founder came out and said something about there's no rules regarding existing protocols doing a big airdrop. (Parahrasing) while it was pretty clear he was trying to draw some of the airdrop volume over to PolygonZK, it did make me slightly consider the possibility and I now have 3 accounts on there with a little bit of eth and doing a few little quests and such. I still think the airdrop is unlikely but it's possible. I def wouldn't grind 30 accounts on it, like ZKS, SN, LINEA are prob high 90% in regard to airdrop possibility and Polygon wouldn't be better 50% on a good day at this point in time. Yep couldn't agree more. I'm also farming them, well zks, SN and have just started Linea. On the fence about BASE & Polygon zk, not fully confident they'll do a token, what are your thoughts? I mean I'm very confident on ZKS, LINEA & SN but dunno about those other two. Feels dicey for BASE given the regulatory stuff around it with them being a publicly traded company and PolygonZK well they already have a token though their founder did recently say there was no rules around projects that already have a token doing an AD. Obv trying to get some of that AD volume/hype lol.
