I’m not trying to expose you or call you out. I’ve just seen this DCA behavior become somewhat of a religion in this space, whereby it is believed dca’ing will ONLY reduce your cost over time. It “can” reduce it over time; it can also RAISE it over time… And that’s because it’s math. The math of it all doesn’t lie. I respect guys like Wicked Smart BTC; however, he’s relatively new to this space. But MORE importantly, I think he’s relatively new to finance in general, so I’m not sure whether he understands the mathematics of it all. And thus, he’s more susceptible to buying-into these sorts of religious beliefs in Bitcoin, and spreading them on podcasts. The bottom line is this: If you’re currently in the black and continue to DCA at these levels, your average cost will RISE. If you’re currently in the red, and DCA, it’ll FALL. It’s math. To me, the most telling aspect of the "carbon crisis" is that the potential "remedy" for the crisis is to cede total authority to central governments and have them determine our quality of life. Looking at the "projections" (the same models which predicted we'd all be underwater now) shows that global temps will CONTINUE TO RISE unabated. They predict that eliminating all carbon production from developed nations will "slow" the temperature rise by some insignificant amount. If you believe in global warming (no matter if it's anthropogenic or not) then you'd be way better off funding research and projects that allow us to live comfortably in a hotter climate. I'm living proof. I moved from coastal California to the middle of Texas. My "environment" rose in average temperature by about 20-30 degrees, and I survived! Coming up with solutions to living in a warmer environment is a far better choice than trying to engineer the temperature of the planet. Especially since nothing we do will overcome the increases in CO2 added by China and other so-called "non-developed" nations which are adding coal plants and steamrolling our economy into the ground.

I read this sub as my"dumb money" indicator. No offense intended, just that the vast majority of the communities in reddit tend to be fanatically supportive without any baseline understanding. It's a good feel for retail sentiment and some volume/liquidity trends. Well, there is a way to make some money in crypto without investing so much capital but you will invest your patience. You go for new projects with prospects but there's the risk of falling into pump and dump schemes if you don't DYOR well. I got the MANA when in 2020 at 0.6 when I first heard of the metaverse and sold at 5.4. I'm currently looking at some low caps RISE, NRG, and Subsquid.
