**DELISTING NOTICE** **REN, CRPT, MXC, QSP, TONE** will all be delisted on Coinbase within the hour. Geez I need to pay more attention. Had a pretty significant bag of REN that I had been holding for a long time. Just realized that Coinbase will delist it within the hour. I sold it and took a small loss, but it's better than not being able to trade it later on.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Yes, they sent out an email today. Coinbase will suspend trading for Crypterium (CRPT), MXC (MXC), Quantstamp (QSP), Ren (REN), and TE-FOOD (TONE) on November 3, 2023, around 2 PM ET.

I've been in crypto for a decade. From speculation: I lost a little bit early on when I didn't know what I was doing. Luckily I hardly had any money in it. Now I run on long term cycles, and it's all gravy. Bear markets no longer lose me money, it's where I make money. From sending funds to the wrong address: The amount of money I lost in the past 10 years from sending coins to the wrong address is 0. I learned early on to not type out the address, and double check. And if I send big sums, I send a test transaction first. From bad coin investments: The biggest loss I made was from QSP. 99% loss. But it was only a small sum of money. What made me lose the most from my crypto investment? A divorce lol. That's the one event that wiped out the most gains I had from crypto. It wasn't a bear market, it wasn't a shitcoin, it was a divorce.

tldr; The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has filed charges against blockchain security firm Quantstamp for conducting an unregistered initial coin offering (ICO) of "crypto asset securities". Quantstamp raised over $28 million in its ICO in 2017 by selling its native QSP tokens to investors. The SEC alleges that Quantstamp failed to register its offering and sale of tokens, which it considers to be securities. As a result, Quantstamp has agreed to settle the charges and return the funds raised in the ICO. The SEC order also includes the establishment of a "Fair Fund" to return funds to affected investors, and Quantstamp will transfer its own QSP token holdings to the Fair Fund administrator. The firm no longer operates or supports its automated smart contract security auditing platform. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has charged blockchain security company Quantstamp with conducting an unregistered initial coin offering (ICO) of crypto securities in 2017. The company allegedly raised over $28 million by selling QSP tokens to investors and planned to develop a protocol on the Ethereum blockchain for automated security audits of smart contracts. Quantstamp has agreed to settle the charges by paying nearly $2.5 million in disgorgement and prejudgment interest, as well as a $1 million civil penalty. This comes shortly after a judge ruled on the SEC's allegations against Ripple, finding that institutional sales of its XRP token constituted an unregistered securities offering. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. I started during the 2017/2018 cycle right before the crash, I'm talking late-November/early-December and watched it all go down as my first experience in crypto. What I'll say is to focus on strong projects, your crypto portfolio should have 50% bare minimum in safe assets(BTC/ETH). If you're trying to get into alts during a bear market, locate diversified ones with strong teams/communities. Half of the alts I went into in 2018 are nowhere near their ATHs(XVG, NEO, ICX, WAN, XRP, XLM, NANO, REQ, QSP, etc.) Once you find ones you have a strong conviction in, DCA downwards on them as well as ETH/BTC. Seeing BTC down to 3500 and ETH down to 85, you'd be screaming at yourself that you didn't go in harder. Never put in more than you're willing to lose. This cycle has LP farming & staking, so you can use those to hedge a bit. Lastly, HODL and stop staring at your portfolio every 15 minutes.

An Australian Exchange just sent out word that they'll be delisting QSP, BRD, NXS, NAV and MDA. Thankfully none of these is in my portfolio. Curiously, what usually are the reasons for delisting coins?

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Last bear market, everyone thought alt-coins were done for. A lot of people said that if alt-coins were to come back, it would probably be new coins. None of the old alt-coins would survive. I'm glad I didn't listen to them. 90% of the alt-coins came back. Only a small minority never reached a new ATH. I had 1 alt-coin, QSP, that never really recovered. But the rest went 500%-4000%.

My Ethereum dapp moonshot plays failed miserably from 2017 - SONM, INS, QSP, REQ, DENT, SUB, AION....whats funny is that for 3 weeks I couldve sold all my plays at their alltime highs but never did due to greed. Shouldve kept my bags of $500-600 ETH instead. I also bought other shitcoins like NXS, NAV, CLOAK. I had 5 more projects that survived till this cycle and I didn't even sell them near top. Again greed. Instead of 400% from 2017, I cashed out to barely 200% a month ago.

Timothy Ruth says he isn't concerned about the current crypto market slump and the drops in prices. He's focused on nailing down projects that have strong fundamentals and remain undervalued. He's been investing in stocks since 2007. But after witnessing bitcoin's explosive growth, he took a serious interest in the crypto market in 2019. And while the sector is far more volatile than the traditional equities market, he says the charts are just as predictable. Ruth attended the Naval Academy, where he graduated with a degree in quantitative economics. While there, he learned technical analysis from a professor who was also a successful trader. He's also focused on trading in bear markets, a skill he realized was important after he got wrecked in the 2008 stock-market crash. Today he trades cryptos while sharing his knowledge of technical analysis with his followers on social-media platforms like TikTok and YouTube, where he's known as CryptoWeatherMan. One of his key focuses is identifying early crypto projects and getting in on the ground floor. In a previous interview with Insider, Ruth explained that picking projects that could see up to 30,000% price increases means finding them before they're widely known. This involves identifying key industries that blockchain technology could provide solutions for. He looks at factors such as the infrastructure bill to determine where big money might be spent. He then filters projects based on those sectors and identifies which small-cap cryptos have fundamentally strong projects and solid teams behind them. "It's definitely a scary venture," Ruth said, acknowledging that there are risks — and rewards — associated with investing in early-stage projects. He stressed the importance of spreading bets across multiple cryptos and not putting all of an individual portfolio into the asset class. Top five crypto projects below $1 that could surge in value Powerledger (POWR) is an operating system for new energy markets. It supports the tracking and trading of energy, flexibility services, and environmental commodities. Quantstamp (QSP) is a cyber security protocol that can identify vulnerabilities and exploits on blockchains and smart contracts. Parsiq (PRQ) acts as a bridge between Web2 projects and Web3. Ruth says this protocol will be in a strong position when companies look to transition to Web3. Hedera (HBAR) is a layer-one hashgraph base that allows developers to build fast and secure applications. Solve Care (SOLVE) is a protocol that intends to decentralize healthcare networks.

That isn’t the only way. The other way is just much more work. First do some research on many new coins, do much deeper research on a few that pass initial scrutiny, and make intelligent bets on just a couple. Then walk away from them for 3-5 years. At which point you should be able to cut losses on the losers and double down on the winners. 3-5 years after that, you may be looking at FU money. This worked for investors to pick ETH, zCash, XRP, ADA before they popped. We had notable misses as well (IOTA, OMG, QSP, HBAR, ZIL, SC, STORJ, Augur) only made us small gains, or we held them too long and had modest losses. If I had held my initial position in all of those picks for 6-10 years, I’d be in FU money a couple times over.

I got in crypto in September 2017. I felt really euphoric and put all the money I had at that time. I was up 50% and was looking forward to 10x. Start relocating my portfolio to small caps. Guess what, after crash my portfolio was down 85% in one point. It was heartbreaking to even look at it. All I did is just left everything in BTC and stopped following crypto completely. After years, BTC recovered and my bloody 85% loss went up to 20% gain. But it took 3 years for that and most of the small coins were completely dead (NULS,GTO,LRC,TKS,SUB,EDO,QSP)

I also parked some money in things that have more or less remained stable, but gas prices now cost more than the amount I'd actually receive cashing out... so I guess HODL by default because taking profit would result in a net loss probably (gas fees). OCEAN and QSP are the two that come to mind. BUT, buying those previously mentioned coins helped qualify me for the 400 UNI airdrop, which has since proven to be far more profitable than most trades I ever manage to pull off.

What is $QSP Token Used For? The native cryptocurrency of the Quantstamp protocol is $QSP and it has the following use cases: Payment for Quantstamp services Automated Software Verification Automated Bounty Payout System Governance Payment for Quantstamp Services Blockchain projects and smart contract developers can pay for Quantstamp’s auditing and verification services with $QSP tokens. These services include: Expert Security Audits, Enterprise Blockchain Design & Implementation, and Automatic Smart Contract Scans. Automated Software Verification When the Quantstamp protocol receives automated auditing requests, validation nodes can start performing security checks to validate the smart contract. These nodes must stake QSP to ensure they don’t act maliciously and for their computational effort, they are rewarded with QSP tokens. Automated Bounty Payout System When a smart contract is submitted for auditing by the Quantstamp protocol, it must include a set of QSP tokens for bounty rewards and a deadline for when Bug Finders can submit issues. If no bugs are found by the deadline, the QSP bounty reward is returned. Governance QSP token holders hold governance rights over the Quantstamp protocol. The governance model uses a time-locked multisig in which any token holder can propose a change or upgrade to the protocol in which other QSP token holders can vote on. The more approvals a proposal has, the sooner it can be set into motion.

Quantstamp (QSP)- they audit technologies built on the ETH network to prevent malicious hacking and bugs. They’ve been successfully used by a 170 co’s (inc Binance, Chainlink, WEF, Dubai, Siemens) with $45B projects secured, five offices globally, are backed by Y Combinator. So basically- they’ve got a great team and counsel, have a good reputation and strong list of clients/projects, proven product. They’re still building products to allow audits on other blockchain technologies. I believe they’ll be around for the long term. Personally, I invested at ATHs, but it’s done an almost 100% run over the last month (so I’m almost break even again 😆). For me the plan was always HODL and so the dips don’t bother me. https://quantstamp.com

For crypto veterans, it's really nice to make money for a change. Doesn't seem like that long ago, everything in my portfolio was in the red. It was just one dip after another. Just when you thought you "bought the dip", there would be another. I would see my $100 invested in QSP drop by 99.8%. But at least I never invested more than I could afford to lose. People bought on margins, borrowed money, and even took out a mortgage to buy crypto. And then lost over 70%. So it's definitely nice to see green. But be always mindful of what can potentially happen.

I wonder how many people are overexposed to just 1 coin. Maybe all in on one coin. Or something like over 75% of their portfolio in one coin. Or maybe even just 2 coins. I kind of get that if you don't want to research all these coins, or if you're new, it's probably best to just stick to Bitcoin. You may not always get the top gains for the week or month, but you'll have something solid, and at least reasonable gains long term. What I find a bit more difficult to understand is people all in or heavily in on just 1 alt coin. I have a long experience in crypto. I do my research. And I still get it wrong sometimes. I thought Raiblocks was a slamdunk. I considered just going heavily on it. But even when the fundamentals and the logic is all there, there's never any guarantee. I remember when EOS, QSP, STEEM were also surefire slamdunks. And some people were all in on those. So glad I diversified.

This not a criticism of Quanstamps ability to provide security audits. People keep saying generic NPC bullshit like FUD, hater, blah blah...This is a criticism of their neglect to tell people that QSP is not the only way to acquire services. People bought the token because security audits is a very important thing for any software project. If they told everyone from the start that they would also accept other methods of payment, then maybe they wouldn't have bought the token in the first place.

many people dont get Quantstamp and its sad ppl cant educate there self more, Quantstamp does 2 types of audit, white glove audit that needs alot of man hours and the automatic audit thru the security protocol [https://protocol.quantstamp.com/](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=comments&stzid=UgxCKq_1RMCMrHoj3uZ4AaABAg&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbVpmT1NZdnNTdG5oMlNqSnR4dzU0WUdqbFRJUXxBQ3Jtc0tuRE85WlFLUF83Z2ZYbGttbV83VGRxclg1WV90dGh4ek1waUkxaWxxYW9ocEQ0WHJYU2lHVHZEUUcwRlZSTjZpb3NnY2lfMFZWX0FLVnZwNUU0alNVbl9EcmtSMHVaU1ViZ1B2UjRQNDNWUFJSM3pacw%3D%3D&q=https%3A%2F%2Fprotocol.quantstamp.com%2F) this security network is powered by QSP token. As far as I know the team is working closely with ETH community to integrate smart contract scan, think of it as your computer antivirus scan doing 24/7 scan and monitoring. My point is, Your gonna want some BAGS of Quantstamp for whats coming .

I think I may have found a legit hidden gem QSP - Quantstamp It’s an audit and security coin. They’ve worked with Binance, Cardano, Maker, Toyota, Zilliqa, Siemens, Etherium 2.0, Curve, Chainlink and more Those are some pretty massive partnerships Currently trading at .06 with a previous high of .90 Only $44M market cap and its on Binance

Wish I wasn't. But thanks a lot for bringing up painful memories. My QSP bags is worth like $2 now lol. After the brutal 99.8% drop. I think it's one of the alt coins that got the closest to losing 100% of its value.
