>Unique digital identity, global identity standard That just sounds like perfect surveillance. What's the use-case of that possible feature? It won't help with KYC, because just like a Passport # you can also steal a key to your ID. So pictures etc will still be required additionally. >proof of achievements and skills (which are often faked in third world countries) You mean a CV? Or how do you proof achievements and skills on the blockchain? >ownership of real estate Whats wrong with the current way? Or asked differenty, which benefits make the added complexity worthwhile? >Web3 domains Yeah, that works. But it's already happening for some time. >content rights I don't think there is any issue with content rights and I struggle to see how NFTs can help there. My impression is, that it's not an issue to document the rights, the issue is more to enforce them. >medical records Hopefully not on a public blockchain. And on a private one.. we have Digital medical records here and it's just without any blockchain, as it's unnecessary for non-public databases that don't require validators of entries. >Left out digital art and tickets. I really like how you bend the rules to get them still in. +5 sympathy points :) I'm sure you can find many discussions on tickets here. The ones I had all end with "there's nothing for the ticket company in it and nothing for the user, so why should anyone bother?" And for art, well as long as NFTs are sold without also selling all rights to the art the NFT is pointing to + guaranteed hosting of said art, it's less buying art and more buying a URL you hope won't expire, but nothing more. This could be fixed though, it's just nothing people push for weirdly to have it as the default to actually own the art behind the NFT.

i don't think an Electronic CV would work. People tailor their CVs to whichever job they are applying to. If f i'm looking to apply to a Government org, i emphasise more public-sector/volunteer community work. If i'm aplying to a tech company, i tailor my CV to show i've competed in a number of hackathons. It's more about immutable affirmation of the institutionally recognised qualifications you have.

Mentions:#CV

I think this could work. But you need visualize yourself as the recruiter. Would be great if there was an electronic CV that has stamp of approval from a verified author. The authority would come from something like link in that would be the company to verified - everyone wins. Link in charges a small fee, person gets verified and recruiters have some degree of confidence.

This is not a time to panic, actually it could be the worst time to panic. Everyone should accumulate and build a strong portfolio right now. That means from BTC to ICOs. The gem i think is going to survive and thrive is 3air. 3air aims to provide internet connection and banking services to African people. 3air is backed by swiss telecom giant k3tele CISCO, IBM, and Crypto native VCs like CV Labs, Crypto Oasis, Acacia, Utreum Capital, Helion Ventures

Mentions:#BTC#CV

You need to be careful that not all small coins are shitcoins but most of the shitcoins are small coins. If you can identify which new coin is being backed by a good team, has great partners and above all provides a product that can change people's lives you will be off to a great start. In my opinion one such crypto is 3air which is backed by swiss telecom giant k3tele who are engaged in the business of Broadband Internet, Digital TV and Fixed Telephony, globally and boosts partners like CISCO, IBM, to provide internet connection to the underprivileged people of Africa. Crypto native VCs like CV Labs, Crypto Oasis, Acacia, Utreum Capital, Helion Ventures are already backing the project, which makes it desirable.

You "bedazzle" your future employer by simply following the interview process. They will evaluate your skills in some way. Most top companies unfortunately rely on DSA tests which suck because they just have nothing to do with the actual job. But others choose a more project oriented approach where you will have to do some test project anyway. I prefer the latter but i also value a full remote position much higher than onsite positions and companies like google tend to give you a paycut if you don't work onsite. That's btw all i did as well: * Sprinkle your CV with the buzzwords from.the job ad to get around any ATS * Then crush the interviews and code tests they throw at you. They will be challenging and hard, so you have to be quite confident in your skills.

Have you tried starting your own business? Your answer should be at least “one, or two” before you think btc is your last option. For info- I have no higher education or anything but I started a business in private teaching (I blagged my CV because I have the knowledge not the certificate) and have now expanded to a company that has staff to do it as well. I thought it was over for me as I spent my younger years pubbing, and sniffing ❄️ but the TRICK is to change your environment COMPLETELY. Leave your hometown, leave ya waste friends and go into a new place. You will really start thinking differently.

Makes sense :). I can't emphasize enough how difficult is it to find good devs these days - most of them don't even have a linkedin, social media or even publicly available CV of any sorts for that matter, you have to go to some conference, do some networking, get to known people, then someone will recommend you a person they used to know, you get a dozen phone numbers (or emails), call all of them and they'll all say they're currently busy with other projects. I'm one of those people in question, without boosting myself I can say I'm ok, been in software engineering for over 15 years and have blockchain experience, but I'm working my 150% already and have to decline anyone who reaches out. I tried contacting many of my old ex-collogues about starting a blockchain project together, with funding secured, and no one took me up on it, we have decent VC capital, which also would give us a legal team, offices, etc, also a relatively good idea but I'm sure as hell I'm not down to do it alone and there's just no one else to join. So it's on the shelf until better times come around.

There could totally be a need to transfer one. Do you keep your files in your old computer and start from scratch every time? NFTs aren't just about selling. It would allow anyone to verify your certificate immediately and without having to check through a centralized entity. Imagine if there was an easy way for an employer to verify an educational degree or certificate without having to contact or get in touch with the university. It would make applications much easier and much more verifiable. Less people can lie on their CV as their certificates as claims will mostly be verifiable. Centralized servers or entities often are flawed and full of errors and issues. Have you not heard how much students complain about them? Also consider, that sometimes you need to pull up your educational history, and you would prefer to do so without having to try and figure out what your information is, or maybe you've even been locked out of the system. But let's focus on the 3 most important factors: Educational institutions can close, change, have server breaches or anything else that can affect your data. In that case you are completely at the mercy of the institution. Education doesn't always come from institutions or organizations, but its hard to verify experience. Imagine you go to an event and attend a panel about blockchain. You learned plenty of things there and want to keep a record of them and use it in future job applications. How do you do so? Most importantly you gain ownership of your educational data and information. No one can deny it, tamper with it, delete it, or in general access it without your permission. Would you like an example of educational NFTs already existing? Check out POAPs, so far one of the best use cases of NFT technology yet: https://poap.xyz/

100% it was a masterpiece. All the CV's bought all the tokens cheap, pre sale. Then 10% got released onto exchanges... Then the remaining 90% were due to get released and I saw this in the white paper and it echoed a huge dump so I stayed away. Instead of selling the 90% they carried on buying the existing 10% which were initially released to the public which caused the crazy spike in price... Then around the $240 price target they started offloading the 90% onto retail. I mean, this is beautiful, day light robbery, they'll make movies about this. I can't help but stand and applaud whoever came up with this plan.

Both statements are true; people are kind of missing the point and the value with all the endless cloning and copying. Like if you have 10,000 versions of open-CV because everyone cloned and made a ton of scam libraries and now it's hard to tell which is the one that's just going to process images while all the others are going to collect a ton of personal data and record all your images and anything they can fetch on your hard drive in the guise of helping some machine learning model they come with by default. Maybe some of them well intentioned. All of them are actually bad. It's totally within their rights to do this, but the world would be a better place if they're just stop doing it.

Hi! I'm working for an aspiring startup focused on replicating the early success of Bitconnect. We've received your CV and are interested in moving you to the interview process, but need a little more info. 2 questions before we can move on: 1. Our largest competitor is consistently implying they can produce larger returns - we offer n% return over a 3 month period, they will push a press release offering n+1% on the same day. As a FUDster, what would be your initial plan of attack? 2. Do you have any experience subtly implying that ROI is being reduced by government oversight? Not a deal breaker if you don't, but lots of potential for upwards mobility if you do. Let me know if you do knownt to know more. John Durden CEO Shitcoin (SHT)

First of all, I have to say I hated school with a passion, and I still do, so I think I can somewhat relate. I also am not sure how your school system works, but since you are 17, I assumed that you only have one or two years until graduation. That is the crucial aspect - if that is the case, you only have to invest one or two years to get a certificate that can help you for a long time in your future life. And yes, I hate the whole systems that requires that certificate, but that is where we are right now. It also doesn't have to be all negative. Even if most of what you would have to study to graduate is bullshit (is it?), the experience of being able to get through it could boost your confidence, and while studying you could acquire valuable skills (not just what you learn in school, but meta skills in how to manage yourself and your time, and study effectively). So if the skills school teaches you suck, maybe you can make it about meta skills that are the REAL thing you will study - like how to study effectively, extract information from texts quickly, whatever. I would imagine even some subjects would still be useful, for example if you want to trade crypto, maths and possibly physics could be your friend. Also maybe consider switching to a better school? Maybe you can still work on the side. And I wouldn't count on being able to make a living off trading crypto right away - or ever, as common wisdom is that most traders lose money. You could also perhaps leverage the network of your school, for example start a crypto investors club at your school, or some other productive thing. That could be a double win - you can exchange ideas with other people, and get two write on your CV that you started a club in school. Yes, you could invest the time in other things. However, in hindsight those two years (or whatever) won't matter much. Unless you are a genius like Vitalik and have solid reasons for dropping out to follow your vision, it just seems to me getting the degree has a better payoff.

For many of us, we are *very privileged*, our employers may simply trust our CV. But in many industries and for many companies, a true background check is required where verification of work history is a major part of that. Additionally, sometimes work history verification is required for financial products. Work history verification is part of a larger $5bn employment screening market, and expect to reach $10bn in the next 5 years.

>A person's CV could be built by a collection of SBTs issued by the employers that verify that the person worked for that employer That would only work if informal jobs were non-existant. A lot of people are not declared works despite having actual jobs and skills. Adoption might be hindered by this. >Universities could give SBTs to their graduates, and in the case that the employer needs to see the certification, they could check the student's wallet that they, indeed, attended the school. This has the potential to remove fraud in many sectors This would be a perfect case, instead of having to keep track and flawlessly store a wad of paper that says you're a professional you just keep that on your wallet. This sounds as close as a real life usecase for NFTs as it gets. >A visa application currently requires a lot of paperwork. Imagine a scenario where the government issues an SBT, and you provide a wallet address to get a visa to travel to a country. This, again, would be perfect...until you factor in this would automate many tasks that are handled by goverment employees and thus increasy it's efficiency. Depending on how everything ends up being implented this could cause social uproar and push a sector into desperate measures just to secure their way of living. In a perfect world shit jobs would be automated, but in our society often times it's easier to have someone do something you could do better anyway, and that someone whose family now depends on them having that job. This also hinders adoption.

The future looks amazing.

Lmao, most tech is a solution in search of a problem. That doesn't necessarily mean it's useless, a bad idea, or a good idea. That depends on how it's used. Plus, if "it's already been done right", it wouldn't need to be constantly upgraded and changed. Every single driver's license and passport I've ever had has been different in some way or other, because they are always being improved and worked on. Digital is just the next step and I'd prefer this kind of token that I control over whatever solution the government is coming up with. > That's exactly what I already do... you're telling me you type a new CV from sctatch every application? Wat? I didn't say CV. I said job application. The application you fill out when you apply for a job. It's rare that the hiring place will have software to pull info from your CV just right or accept the information you submitted to another job.

When it was launched as Sagan, it did seem like it was going to be a kusama like incubator to onboard dapps and tech to Cosmos ecosystem. They changed to Saga and changed their focus somewhat. Chainlet's sounds interesting. Cosmos has the devs to get it done. It's funny zaki, jack and jae all helped seed this. They've were going back and forth on twitter about hub minimalism awhile back. The CEO Rebbeca Liao is a heavy hitter. Bodes well someone w her CV wants to head up this Cosmos project.

Just look at any major stockmarket, none of them are close to what they were in 2019, before CV19 and the stimulus package. US interest rates are 1% I think that's still really low. If they don't raise rates inflation will get out of control, if they do then those in debt will sell off assets to pay it down, some won't be able to and will default. Will the US FED increase rates and crater asset prices or will they half arse it and risk social instability due to high inflation? We don't know, it's still too early. This bubble began in 2008 maybe even before that, it's going to take more then 6 months of somewhat lukewarm growth to fix things, if they can be fixed. Finally, what does the crypto market look like if either of the 2 options I've mentioned come to fruition?

So you believe the current inflation calculation is 100% accurate? Is the average American getting a raise to compensate? I agree printing money isn't the only cause but you can't print massive amounts of money without making inflation worse. And crypto doesn't have to replace anything it can be in addition to. I agree we need strings attached but we are so far from that ever happening I don't see a solution. Government officials are bought and sold thanks to basically unlimited campaign contributions. The only people with the power to change that are the CV people directly benefiting from it. So banks and big corporations can find the shit out of a campaign then we expect the people they helped elect put strings on them? We need a store of value that isn't under direct government control. Gold comes to mind but then the US has made holding gold illigal in the past so nothing is really secure.

If you gonna pick dates why don't pick longer periods of time, i.e. not 4 months. After all you invest in equities for several years. Why don't we measure since March 2020, start of CV19, or why don't we look at 5 years returns. Oh yeah, I know why.

No, i’m judging her as someone in her jurisdiction subject to shitty decision after decision from her, and you’re judging me and calling me stupid from one comment. Great look. You have completely ignored my request to change my mind and just regurgitated her CV. My uncle is a lawyer too but would make a very shitty monetary policy decision maker. I also fail to see how speaking multiple languages (which almost everyone in my country does) qualifies her. You seem to be blinded by fancy qualifications and assume what she does is right based on them.

But you are judging her based on one comment she has made on bitcoin. That just makes you look stupid. You are ignoring her CV and rushing to judgment based on one thing on a topic where you’ve convinced yourself you know more. No doubt an education you got on YouTube and reddit. I’m sorry but this is ridiculous. She is fluent in several languages, she was head of one of the elitist law firms in the world working in one of the most difficult areas (anti-trust) and is now head of the ECB (before that the IMF) ffs. She knows finance. Sorry she said something you don’t like but for fucks sake don’t embarrass yourself by suggesting she is not infinitely more intelligent than you will ever be.

Ted Cruz is an embarrassment, I don’t judge by their support for bitcoin. Judging someone by their CV is laughable too, it’s not always deserved. If i’m being too harsh on her i’m open to having my mind changed. What decisions has she taken that have had a net positive effect on the world?

Seriously? Her CV, her accomplishments to date. The countless talks she has done. Just because you disagree with someone doesn’t make them stupid. Ted Cruz supporting Bitcoin doesn’t make him less of a grifter etc.

Yup. Because the “financially literate” that work in most finance jobs are 50 and do not understand computer stuff. I have a degree in finance and let me tell you that I’m not proud of it and do not even put it on my CV. 98% of my classmates that graduated with me were total morons. Anyway school just teaches you theory that absolutely doesn’t not apply in real life as markets are not always rational. Then you got central banking basics and the people are so immersed into it that “it’s just how it works” rather than asking “why does it work like that”

Finance people work for whoever pays most and don't give a fuck about the principle. Just because he advised ripple doesn't mean he will now advise the govt to support ripple, sorry all. And I know this is an 'unpopular opinion' but when your crypto CV claims you advised a group that's currently in a lawsuit (and yea we all hate the SEC and know ripple is right but whatever), how do you get a job paid by taxpayer money? Isn't this guy possibly a little incompetent? I love crypto like you all do, but let's not make out the this is some crypto saviour in the government ranks. They still hate us.

Yeah it is a valid point, but i can try to refute that by saying that "you don't need to learn lets say let's say spanish because there is google translate". in terms of utility might even become more profitable, robotization of works is on its way, worst case scenario knowing programming languages will be on a CV as speaking two languages, not to mention the brain training and methodism required for coding, 100% applicable to almost any aspect of life. You might be right, i don't have the crystal ball, but i believe that knowing programming in a ever growing tech dependent world can't be a bad idea.
