Still kicking myself that I sold my AR bag, even after shilling it here in around 2021 lol. It's a solid project and I'm glad more people are finding out about it. STORJ is another solid project like AR and its circulating supply is around 96%

I'm not very experienced in trading, and most of my assets are low market cap. I hold DUA, NXRA, RIO, and STORJ in my portfolio, which I believe are great additions given their utility and market cap.
DOT, AVAX, ATOM for large cap alts, AAVE, CFG STORJ, for medium cap, LIT, NCT are some of the small caps I’ve been eyeing. Not FA advice, just some projects I see being actively used and support personally.

Don’t be greedy is my #1 rule. Always start petty and add 20 safety orders, covering 80-100% of variance to the opposite direction. Set volume scale > step scale for the safety orders. A good example, STORJ is one of the altcoins that I perpetually trade on. It soared to the sky a week ago from around 0.6 all the way to over 1.0, and now is falling down to 0.8. When the price rocketed, my long bot was taking small profits all the way up, while all my 20 safety orders were used up on the short bot. But then once the price fell back to its MA, my short bot took huge profit from that, and long bot stared to accumulate safety orders for the profit of next rise. This is the power of DCA, which is a strategy that almost always work on altcoins.
TBO STORJ is one of the altcoins that I constantly flip. I don’t hodl on any of the altcoins, and I don’t care what project they are. I just like their high volatility.
I just looked at their website and its not really clear how to even use it lol, so far the only projects that are decent are AIOZ and STORJ.
Honestly i looked at filecoin and another project i cant remember the name of, theres AIOZ and STORJ, those two are honestly the only ones that work within my network and storage means, filecoin and the other one i cant remember the name of seem like enterprize/data center solutions.

It's been tried a few times. MAID, Siacoin, Filecoin, STORJ... Hasn't really caught on.
The whales are pulling STORJ from the exchanges to their own wallets. I don't have this coin but they must be setting up a long term hold. I'm interested to see if it continues to rise.

Filecoin has enterprise like hardware requirements if I am not mistaken. Not something to can play around with at home. There are other options for home storage solutions though, such as STORJ.

The problem is that there's plenty of decent projects around but people are too scared to buy them now with Gensler waiting in the shadows to attack them lol Personally, I would bet on a Layer 0 coin and a decentralized storage coin like FIL/STORJ/AR.
It would make way more sense to use STORJ rather than 3 separate custodians, but the user themself could do that. It would make even more sense to just not do that at all
Thank you, yeah you described it very good. A lot of scam about it and motherfucking scammers talking about x4 or x5 like some not really unusual thing... KILT, XHV and QRDO seems really good in the problem they want to fix or the feature they want to implement in some level. I researched about them. But their prices... Anyway. Same stuff happens with STORJ: the project is great, but their token isn't worth it at all. I purchased 5€ on Revolut a month ago because I like the project lol (btw, **~~Revolut~~** to purchase cryptos **NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL)**: I had the Metal Plan when I was investing, I also do some investments in actions, but with a free plan **the fees are ridiculuously high**. I purchased 5€, and they took 1€! **A 20%**. They ask also for almost 1€ to can sell, so 2€ scammed xD That's the last time I purchase cryptos on Revolut, without paying a plan it's a damn robbery. Luckly I purchased a ridiculous amount.
GPU mining might not be what you want to do, but you may be able to use your laptop to sell your internet bandwidth by being a node provider. ETH was the first i bought, and the biggest purchase I'd make for a long time. However, immediately thereafter i made a slew of questionable choices in acquiring small bags of TRX, EOS, SiaCoin and STORJ. 1/5 wasnt a bad pick..lol.
Yes some kind of trust-less system for seed recovery would be very useful. Or perhaps something like STORJ project is doing, data encrypted, sharded and distributed to many nodes on the network.

Filecoin was a Chinese favorite. Look into STORJ for similar utility. Filecoin was hurt by the Chinese ban hammer.

You could use the ram by creating a tmpfs that appears as a device but is direct ram. Super fast. You could do something like STORJ, but the issue is that space would be cleared on a reboot. Assuming 100% uptime, it’s possible. You asked /shrug

BTC, ETH, ADA on DCA. Then bi-weekly buys based on interesting goals and projects. Tracking and investing in MANA, STORJ, LINK and others. I can imagine future value for businesses and consumers in these projects. Considering putting a bit into more L1s in an attempt at an ETF-like investment approach. Not sure who'll make it, but the fun is in the gamble. I'm also betting on the NBA playoffs and bet at the Kentucky Derby this weekend. I view these as small bets to enhance my experience. I'm not counting on getting rich from it, but it would be nice if I did! I'll add that this is ALL disposable income. My financial security is not dependent on what crypto or Chris Paul does from day to day.

yeah thats a big one. vet was being pushed so aggressively here, on twitch and on youtube. everybody was hyping it up. but idk, im pretty sure almost everything that was hyped around may in 2021 is in big red. VET, OXY, OMI, OXT, STORJ, ADA in free fall. all old hyped stuff is dying off. by the end of 2021 all of those i listed up started to be forgotten and everyone started hyping new stuff such as LUNA, SOL, LRC etc. moved from doge to shib and so on.
No this is perfectly fine. The fact you’re in crypto should be “spice” enough. Sounds like you’re staking whatever can be staked, too, which is great. I’d create some exposure to file storage, wether that be FIL, STORJ, or another project is up to you. FIL is currently pretty cheap imo. That’s all I’d add tho, some decentralized storage exposure. Nice port

All crypto has has real life utility, anything that threatens total governmant control of money is an asset. Monero allows for private transactions, Ethereum allows for dApps RIC is working on dca streaming STORJ is working on decentralised databases No crypto has any business being worth 100k$ just like we don't have any 100k$ currency irl

I think it goes both ways. I agree some people just want to feel "moral superiority" by call crypto a scam outright Then there are the obvious scams in crypto and VC pump and dumps I remember in early 2021 when this sub kept hyping up ICP and Filecoin. Especially FIL. The front page had so many posts proclaiming it the future of online storage. Same with SC, STORJ and a bunch of other storage coins Its nearly a year later and its obvious to everyone it was all hype no substance
Bought several hundred LRC at $1 in jan 2018 and sold for a 96% loss in march 2020 after i assumed the project was dead, of course now its alive again SHIB, just putting money in at all but ill hold it to see what happens STORJ did me dirty when I invested but i still like the idea behind it NKN AND REN where i shit the bed on those hoping theyd do better
That isn’t the only way. The other way is just much more work. First do some research on many new coins, do much deeper research on a few that pass initial scrutiny, and make intelligent bets on just a couple. Then walk away from them for 3-5 years. At which point you should be able to cut losses on the losers and double down on the winners. 3-5 years after that, you may be looking at FU money. This worked for investors to pick ETH, zCash, XRP, ADA before they popped. We had notable misses as well (IOTA, OMG, QSP, HBAR, ZIL, SC, STORJ, Augur) only made us small gains, or we held them too long and had modest losses. If I had held my initial position in all of those picks for 6-10 years, I’d be in FU money a couple times over.
I think it's a bit of hold and play. For BTC, ETH, ATOM, and a few others I could care less about the price because I'm not selling anytime soon. That other 25% though is in play. If not for checking the charts I would not have caught the Kyber spike a few days ago to take quick profit, or STORJ a few weeks before that. Invested, but still get to feel some excitement 😄.
AGREED...dogecoin was a meme coin..bitcoin,ethereum,litecoin are a movement. the new coin I see potential in that isn't big is STORJ.. elon musk has hurt bitcoin more than when john mcaffe was manipulating crypto for money on social media.
You couldn’t and wouldn’t want to store pirated content on a blockchain. Unless it was meant for storage like STORJ, it wouldn’t be feasible. You’d have a super tiny image, and certainly no MB or GB for music or video.

Thank you for this post! Taxes have been on my mind lately and this right here helps me out a lot. This year, I have used three exchanges: Coinbase, Crypto.com & Uphold. Back in September, I had created a Coinbase account and started making a few transactions (with no realized gains made) ranging between $2k-$4k. My friend had sent me some coins like ALGO, STORJ, XRP from his Coinbase account to me. I then converted them to BTC and immediately sold around the same time so obviously there isn’t going to be much of a gain or loss. September 28, I decided that I no longer wanted to use the Coinbase platform so I went ahead and deleted my account. At this time, I was unaware that I would not be able to go back to view my transaction history from my account. - Submitted a support ticket on November 1 to Coinbase Support requesting them to send me my transaction history from before I had closed my account. This is the response that I received from them: “It looks like you are contacting us from an email address that was deleted from your Coinbase account. For security purposes, please email us from the current email address associated with your Coinbase account.” So I created another Coinbase account using the same email address that I had previously used from when I originally created the account back in September. I have not received any response since then. As for Uphold, I only had 12 transactions and they were most conversions of XRP & BTC totaling $4k. Crypto.com I currently have over 800 transactions and still use it as my primary exchange so it’ll be pretty easy to obtain the necessary forms like my 1099-K and Transaction History. - Question: When filing my taxes next year, will I also need a copy of my Fiat Wallet and Crypto.com Visa Card transaction history in CSV forms? I am planning on hiring a tax consultant or CPA to help with my filings.
I don’t know a ton about the project, but my understanding is that it is less focused on data delivery than STORJ. Either way, I think these decentralized storage projects are offering way more marketable products than the all of these hyped metaverse or NFT focused projects. Like actual enterprise, corporate marketability. I’m super bullish in the long run!
