Looks like they all borrowed BTC at ~ $30K. When the price crashed they couldn't afford to sell. Now they can't pay back. Sucks they lost OPM!

The whole US economy is built on debt and leverage. Leverage isnt going away and isn’t inherently a bad thing. He’s leveraged *responsibly* and won’t get liquidated. I don’t see any problem. Let’s say you can take out $100k loan for BTC at 5% for 5 years and you don’t have a problem paying maintenance costs. You have to ask yourself, is BTC going to return more than 5% a year for 5 years? If the answer is yes, you’d be dumb not to take it. Using OPM is the way to wealth. Any multi-millionaire will tell you that. Nobody got rich by investing comfortably. Debt is your friend.

Dealing with large amounts of a very liquid asset can be dangerous, especially if its OPM (Other Peoples Money)

4% is very much sustainable. The problem is the VC backing starts demanding a fatter cut of the proceeds off OPM.

I don't think anything crooked is going on. It just seems like they're taking your (and a lot of other people's) money to use as buying power, whilst giving you a token you can hold in the process so you think you have some stake in it (I believe you actually do). They then use that money to flip real estate on the market. But, you only get cents to dollars while they resell to make millions. Using OPM (other people's money) to flip assets is nothing new. Banks, credit unions and lending places have been doing it for years.

Top tier strat that banks don’t want you to know about is get three random letters from a generator and search them on CoinGecko. I went ahead and found QSP (Quantstamp) OPM (Omega Protocol Money) FLS (Flits) Remember me when you’re a millionaire

It’s simple, money managers and fiduciary’s that control trillions of OPM (other peoples money) would be able to buy crypto with qualified assets (ie retirement accounts). Many of these money managers that work at big banks are barred from talking about crypto with clients until the assets are in certain legal products like ETFs. Imagine, 2% of 10 trillion dollars FOMOing into BTC starting at $62k!!!

Nothing wrong with taking small bites. Be cautious, invest only OPM that you retained from spending. Every time you fix something you normally would of paid someone to do, invest it. You skip Starbucks for a week, invest it. This is how I started investing. Hard work and a little thought. It’s never a bad time to start investing in something you have the upmost belief in. Just adjust to where you’re at in the rally. Have faith be smart. Best of luck to all!

Well you have to realize, I'm 62 and have been a poker player all my life and shot pool for a living even for a few years. So I'm a gambler. I understand not gambling the rent. And I understand gambling with OPM. So if I'm day trading with my profits, I really can't lose.

I think this would be an excellent way to keep the hedge funds in check and also create transparency on trades. I would totally vote for this and support it. Naked short selling is bad for the human race in every way (kills technology, kills pensions and savings of regular people, etc.) just so a few hedge fund managers can walk away with billions of dollars in OPM (other people's money) while adding ZERO to advancing the human race, etc... (gonna end my rant here) :)

So they are effectively hoovering up all the BTC with OPM and effectively skimming large fees in the form of BTC? That sounds like the gist of it.

You want dip and chip? This is the best way. A chip for the dip here, and a chip for the dip there. Food is best asked of using the tradition of OPM, see if your neighbour has some to spare, they may have a fruit tree so they have bags of food to spare. Or return to the days of ramen. Your destiny is in your hands, all the best and always remember that I believe in you.

Absolutely foolish! Why would you sell an asset earning +400% a year when the banks are offering fake money at 2.75%😆? We just bought a $200,000 home in GA for my daughter. We only put down 10% ($20,000). I took out a loan against Bitcoin 3 months prior to purchase. Because money was not needed for 3 months I stored the cash in Bitcoin back on the exchange till it was needed. During those 3 months Bitcoin 2.5x! So the original $20,000 became $52,000. So I then paid off the Bitcoin loan and paid the 20% deposit on home with free money or OPM. If you used $200,000 in Bitcoin to buy same home, it is now equal to paying $520,000 for home. You should have thought out what you were doing. I never lost a single Bitcoin in transaction plus we have another rental property with positive cash flow and equity.

I could not agree more. I simply am illustrating the importance on getting a NON-ZERO allocation in an asset like this. The exponential nature of it does all the risk management. I was still was buying silver and platinum WHILE I was positioning my Bitcoin trade from the previous lows ($3,100 to $4,000 range). - I also own precious metals miners in addition to crypto and PM... My average price later became $5,000 on Bitcoin because I averaged up when I realized the bottom was 3-4K and I wasn't going to get ANY lower downside to buy in more - so I instead averaged up and bought my full position, at a 5K price. And STILL I traded other things. I cannot help that it GREW to become my single largest asset - if my precious silver and platinum would finally move - I could instead brag about how DIVERSE I am. And how ALL my investments are asymmetrical to the upside. But Bitcoin stole the show all on its own and BECAME my largest holding. After which I de-risked my trading capital from it somewhat - and mostly now its an OPM position (Other People's Money) and its running nicely still - 90% intact of the original Bitcoin - and 100% of my alt coins remain. I'm about 70/30 allocation 70% Bitcoin to 30% 5 other alt coins. XRP, LINK, ETH, LTC, BCH.... Because one or two of them will out-perform BTC, but I can't know which - so I bought a little of them all. I wish I had gone heavier on ETH. But later I made up for that in my trading account with a large position in ETHE (Greyscale ETH trust) and I've traded that a number of times - now in a HODL position since its in a bull market climb - no more selling until its really at a top of some sort. Then I'll trade it a bit during the large swings... But only on the margins - I'm going to try to keep a CORE position intact in all my crypto currencies for the following cycle - ... People need to use these asymmetric assets to their advantage more - and - especially when they base out at the swing lows. Most people chase the green candles and I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT AT ALL. In fact I think this cycle is quite middling now to try to establish a position from 50K. Its already in the parabolic phase. If 100K is the top then 50K is only one more double - and its too late. It already doubled over 3 times from my entry. I'd be irresponsible to recommend getting in after 3 doubles.
