I was looking at some alts to buy. As im not a long time crypto holder I buy to then sell in a few months. Among some project I found this THETA that aims to improve video streaming. The ATH is of 2022 and is way higher than today prices. What’s your thoughts?

Well said! Thanks for taking the time to respond. I guess if you truly have conviction in the product, then holding through turbulent times shouldn't be difficult. For example, I do believe in BTC, and have no issues with it dropping 20% in a day. But when I see THETA, KDA, or ATOM drop like that, it's more nerve wrecking because my conviction isn't as strong. It depends on the coin. Some max supplies are harder to change than others. Mainly that depends on the degree of decentralization & the chosen method of consensus. Reaching max supply does indeed make them deflationary due to the reasons you mentioned. Premined or minted coins or tokens are usually created with the max supply in existence. Sometimes not all coins are in circulation because they are bound by contracts & vesting schedules until a later point in time. Examples are NANO or THETA.

It's not about putting up huge money. It's about putting enough into the right projects. There are too many people that are just gambling, mostly on pointless meme coins. If you want a huge score then you need to gamble and be very lucky. I would pick 5 small coins that actually have a use case and then stick as much as I could afford into them. THETA would be one (not financial advice!) My gut tells me there we could make 3-5x with the right picks

Idk about you guys, but I'm buying up any quality alts that are still down 90%+ from their ATH. That's a minimum 10x just to get back to a price they already were. The potential of THETA is huge and solves a really big problem. I think what needs to happen is for them to show a demo of their technology in a live environment. As of now, it's still just ideas in test setups. THETA is a small bag for me (~10% of my portfolio + ~5% TFUEL) and it is getting bulldozed this bear market. But I'll still DCA small amounts each month since the potential is too much to miss out.

THETA, they started doing stupid NFTs that no one cares about instead of actually marketing the coin to video companies and focusing on the main aspect of it (decentralized video distribution and transcoding). It's also too centralized for my liking, Livepeer is doing better on this regard. Also for other utility coin: Filecoin. The cost of running a host is waay to high and requires very high end hardware while its competitors like Storj and Sia let you run a host on a Raspberry Pi

Spaniard here, never seen one of those though. In CZ though there used to be several around in 2014 or so (not anymore) Spanish laws for crypto are a mess though, only thing stopping actual goverment from totally demonizing it is the fact that one congressman was OG on crypto, holding LTC since 2013 and using his profits on THETA for the downpayment of his new house

I DCA everything and buy about $300-400 a week. I put $100 into Bitcoin every week, and $150-200 into a list of rotating alts that I think have good potential to make new ath next bull run, currently that includes ETH, VRA, VET, THETA, Ada, and a handful of others. Keeps my portfolio around 35% btc and 65% various alts. I also take the leftover $50-100 and put it on maximum leverage long calls on any of those coins. it’s like a high probability lottery ticket to me…sometimes I get a nice 5x return of $500, other times I get liquidated… regardless of the outcome of that it’s atleast adding volume and somewhat influencing the price over time I’m sure.

Aave and compound is money markets and peer to peer lending without needing banks and large financial institutions to go through. It's permissionless so ya if people want to be a degen gambler they can. They want to cut their fingers off with a saw they bought at home Depot they can do that too. Uniswap is a Decentralized exchange. No giant NYSE building renting out big servers to financial firms to see data and get trades in before everyone else, no giant corporation, no needing broker companies in between you and the exchange. You don't know what you're talking about with Helium. Or you're thinking about a different network. Helium is a physical infrastructure network transmitting through LoRa. People have bought and setup their transmitters all over the world. Though primarily in North America and Europe. They're now moving towards 5g and 4g as well. People pay to have data relayed through the network and is now just another network that extends the Internet. It's infrastructure that no company owns. At best all companies can do now is influence it. Audius has nothing to do with Helium. I dunno I would address XYO and THETA but you don't really seem to know a single thing about any of these networks.

DCA is not the best way in projects that fail to deliver, i don't see a problem with DCAing BTC ETH and similar projects..They hold value and come back like a phoenix everytime, so i have to disagree with that thesis. I think that every bull run we get new shiney stuff that tears up the charts with gains, like in the last bull SOL, MATIC, THETA and many more..Next bull run i got a felling we will be seeing KDA , AZERO and esp. Not investing in THETA at 20 cents. I thought the pandemic would be over soon and the value would decrease (because the pandemic caused everyone to be shut in and theta is streaming token). I was wrong. It eventually reached more than $12. I could’ve made at least 60x profit.
Institutions are allways first after the bear market, gotta load em bags securely and not with to much notice..Then they will send it up again.
