2016 was 8 years ago, if you aren't familiar with pokemon go, then you are either currently 15 years old or 45+ years old because it was such a significant moment in mainstream technology. While cryptocurrency was only being whispered about, AR games were all the hype with pokemon go leading the way. Learn to make blockchain games, AR/VR, metaverse will certainly be a non stop growing field for centuries to come, as long as you keep updating your skills in this field, there is no way you will be out of an income stream for life. THe money that is printed by government will likely be spent most on metaverse products. ALso invest on crypto and metaverse stocks like NVDA and Unity. As someone who's spend an equal amount of hours in VR, I would say the opposite is true. VR is nowhere close to its full potential, we're still missing so many features and all the features you can get are clunky as hell.. Also CPU/GPU power will keep increasing while resolution will top out soon seeing as you don't need to go higher than whatever resolution is resolvable by human eyes so it will catch up.. On a sidenote AR and VR are basically the same tech, only difference being that AR needs to be able to have transparent pixels. So once the tech is advanced enough it'll probably end up being a single product

The bottleneck is power we have literally 12k resolution headsets that run at 144hz, you'll never be able to conveniently power that. And by the time we can AR will have completely taken over VR, as someone who has spent thousands of hours in VR and understand it completely, both technically and as a product... VR is too late. Augmented reality will be a reality at some point in the not so distant future. DeFi solutions will help facilitate purchases. We will be able to decorate our homes/offices/lives using digital products that we securely own via NFT. Screens will become a thing of the past. We will be able to transfer what we own on the web into AR and our daily lives. The line separating our virtual and real worlds will blur. Blockchain tech to create AR/XR is already here (albeit in relative infancy), we're just waiting for the hardware to catch up. Imagine instead of a bulky Oculus headset, we can seamlessly integrate VR with the real world using a pair of normal glasses (or who knows, maybe even contacts). I have no doubt that once comfortably-wearable tech is introduced, the space will explode and become a standard quicker than smart phone adoption occurred. I'm much more interested in blockchain (the tech) than I am in crypto currency (the investment), but this sub has a few kernels of information relevant to my interests from time to time. I come at Crypto solidly through the lense of the AR space, always looking for the new project that could possibly facilitate mass-adoption of AR. I'm here for a peek into the future of tech, not moonshots and lambos, but I understand that many are here for the profit margin, and that's fine, too.

Additionally we would have to forget that the Rockefellers, Vanderbilt’s, etc built a good many roads, railroads, libraries, etc. Somehow the individual taxpayer is now on the hook for all of this because we can’t trust corporations to do the right thing that they always used to do, so now the government makes us pay for it because we don’t want corporations to spend on our infrastructure anymore. Did that last sentence make any sense? It shouldn’t have because we’ve been duped into thinking we are doing the right thing by assuming the bill for things these corporations used to fund. I’m actually surprised about how many people willfully support governments committing hostile acts against their own citizens because they can’t fathom any other way. This really highlights the complete and utter lack of faith in humanity, which would necessitate supporting such wide scale authoritarian aggression. It really may boil down to peoples preconceived notions about trust. There are those who, for good reason, do not trust people, greedy corporations, and real estate owners. And there are folks who, for good reason, don’t trust corrupt, ineffectual, incompetent, and an unaccountable government. It’s very difficult to arrive at an objective, quantifiable, and verifiable measure of which entity or entities are “better” for the modern society. I think libertarians take the position that individuals know best what is good for themselves and should be trusted to make decisions appropriately.

30% of my portfolio is in chaingames. Go check out the Apex Legends subreddit. Someone got their account hacked...with 8k of skins. To understand what could happen with Chaingaming really let this sink in. Apex is a first person shooter. Most of your skins are not visible to you. It’s for other players. People value skins so much they are willing to spend hundreds and thousands on one game. They can’t use the skins in other games. When they are bored they never see the skins again. It seems crazy that any gaming company would ever allow NFT skins until they realize they can set a royalty rate and earn a portion of the sale every time it is sold. I also think social tokens will do well.....and if Pokémon or Magic the Gathering ever release NFTs my god the sales would freak people out. There are a few that have the potential to break out.....a Minecraft or Roblox clone would do very well. If you don’t have kids then maybe this whole Metaverse thing seems like bullshit. But trust me, we don’t need VR or AR when kids hang out in Adopt Me chatting on Discord obsessing on their pets and each other’s avatars and houses.

It’s never too late. Apple Silicone is making every computer look like they are 10 yrs old and iPhones are the best selling 5g devices. Carriers will continue to subsidize the iPhones as they push everyone to 5g and not very many competition there. Cars and AR are on the horizon. Apple’s market share in computers and smart phones are way under 50%. Plenty of room to grow.

I truly believe that we need to collaborate and organize as the middle and working class to create an open source decentralized internet 4.0 adaptive metaverse. Something built by all internet users for internet users, no monolithic monopolistic corporate oligarchies that control how we think, communicate and collaborate. It needs to be decentralized and run on a blockchain style of cloud computing. Not one company or individual should be entrusted with control of such an important piece of human infrastructure. You would not trust a tech company with the water infrastructure, you wouldn't trust them with repairing the roadways, nor the electrical grid (think of Texas, millions of people without power on the coldest days of the year, all because one company wanted to cut costs). These are basic things that are far too important to entrust these companies with. VR will be the future, it won't stop at strapping bricks to our heads, it will engulf us, as did the internet, as did smart phones. But it will not even stop there, it will engulf us in ways we cannot even imagine. It will create endless possibilities for creativity, for expression, for opportunity, for culture, for profit. It needs to be under our control. We need to create it. Think about how the internet is used now, how it is abused, how corporate it has become. Then compare it to what it was, a place of expression. Think VR Chat, but on the scale and complexity of the Internet. VR and AR will be the next iPhone, all it will take is that one moment on a stage, and suddenly the whole world will change. That will be the point of no return. We cannot compete with Fb, we cannot compete with Valve, nor Steam, nor Google. They are an organized system of humans with infrastructure in place to counter any moves to take them down. We need to create the next best thing. Something they can't create, nor control. We need to create the Human Net. Obviously we need a system of voting, we need a way to collaborate and agree on changes, no system of governance is constant. The flaws of government are rooted in the centralized aspect of it. If a system of government is built from the ground up with change in mind, there is no need for violent change, no need for revolution, it is a part of the government process, change is welcome, change is the internet. **How would this be done?** Well obviously I don't think the big Zuck would be too happy if we all started collabing on a competing metaverse while he's spending 0.0000000000000000000001% of his life savings to build an inferior product that won't make him the worlds first trillionaire. Him and his powerful buddies wouldn't like a free open source metaverse competing with them. It needs to change. Change needs to happen quickly, on a scale never before seen in tech. We need to keep ahead of the most powerful companies on earth to prevent them from controlling the most important human infrastructure ever built. The governments will not help us, they are in the pockets of the tech monopolies, they will actively work against us. We need to be constantly updating the software and infrastructure, pushing to the edge of what is possible with computing, the second we slow down is the second they get a chance to get on their feet. We have an advantage: there are more of us then them. The system cannot be built without hardware. Without hardware there is no software; we need a way for everyone to access our software from their devices. Producing hardware as a collective will be more difficult at first than producing software. But do you know what hardware is run on? That's right, software. Every VR headset has software. The oppressive software fb has installed on the Oculus Quest hardware has already been jailbroken. Jailbreaking a device is something that has happened since the first iPhone has released, and will not stop anytime soon. We need to make it extremely easy to jailbreak your VR device and install the open source human metaverse, almost like installing a game on the app store. Incentivising. We need to incentivise people to switch by avoiding the problems with jailbreaks. The main issue with Cydia for iOS was that Apple caught up. The NFT Future, they have the only Marvel licensing deal and has been dropping digital past Marvel comics twice a week alongside other AR 3D NFTs, also dropped some of the first blockchain movie tickets to 007 by partnering with Cinemark. Wishing I could of scooped up one of those but they only sold 7 packs of 7 tickets. Damn! But many more drops coming soon.
