The developers of lightning themselves say it won’t fix scaling unless Bitcoin itself gets orders of magnitude faster. Have you studied how lightning works? I have. You need an onchain transaction to create a channel, and to add more Bitcoin to it. Lightning doesn’t work as a distributed p2p because channels run out of Bitcoin too quickly and need to be reloaded. You also have to have 100% uptime otherwise your channel partner can force close your channel and steal all your Bitcoin. The only real world scenario that lightning actually works for is if you have two trusted parties that make multiple transactions back and forth between each other, that’s they only real case where lightning can actually works instead of using Bitcoin main layer. But if you have a trusted trading partner you don’t need lightning at all, you can net off payments to each other, it’s called AP and AR and every single company can do this without Bitcoin or lightning already. The reason lightning isn’t used isn’t because people aren’t aware or because it hasn’t caught on for some inexplicable reason. It’s not used because it’s not useful.

Research similar coins, presale, the upon release they are high, sometimes a lot higher than last presale price. But.. they crash. Personally, VR is at a corner stone. Bulky glasses, lame. But the right I played back in 2018 was wild. VR is the future. But it needs serious funds. The cost to start is crazy expensive. I don't have a rig, but personally would love VR to blow up, just because I love fps, PVP, stuff. And truly good VR is something I want most in the world. This isn't just a coin, it's also a crowdfund. I could lose some money, but maybe after a decade of traction VR will get the investors it deserves. But if I was rich and looking to invest, VR could eat all the money, billions before it's return. It's ahead of its time. But by how much? How much longer. Before it becomes mainstream, affordable, high quality, diverse, competitive. I can only dream it will be like all the series and movies. But that is lifetimes off most likely. Unless of course someone discovers truly alien like tech that surpasses processing power by 1000x fold. It could happen. This is why I invested in doge department. In hopes they fix our schools, because I'm willing to bet the answer could reside within the next 100 years of students enjoying to learn, instead they are made to be manipulated for profit. I don't think I'll invest a lot in 5scape, but really it's a major step towards rallying on VR because until this, even the rich don't touch it. AR and VR AR are not just for fun. Governments want training to be as realistic as possible. Me being realistic. With how funds are just wasted in alot of ways, I see 2T being what it needs. Then it would begin to see profit. who knows it could get that 2t cap if each coin reached like 20$ but that cap wouldnt be all inside vr, but it would chip away at the needs over time. Dropping the initial investment needed, then one day someone notices something, makes the right investment, and it booms.

She pleaded guilty! It's seven counts of fraud and conspiracy she pleaded guilty to. Fried rightfully got 25 years in prison, I'm guessing she will serve 6.5 years. She had a direct role in a fraudulent cryptocurrency scheme involving over $2.5 Billion. Even if she magically doesn't serve any jail time, she's still screwed. Her reputation and name are now mangled. Any Google search will immediately eliminate her from any great career opportunity. She can never work in finance ever again. She probably can't work any kind of office job that involves accounts or billing either. And she didn't get to keep that money she helped Fried scam people out of. Employers won't even let her get an entry level job in AR because it is a financial field.

I get where you're coming from, but ultimately the decision is for the candidate alone to make. If you're a manager at a company and there is a tough business decision, it doesn't matter who pressures you into which path. Everyone will have an opinion. Still, the decision is *yours*; it is *your* job. Most people would probably make exceptions for coercion in more extreme circumstances. Like if Nancy Pelosi had cornered Biden with an AR and threatened to kill him and his whole family...that is more an ultimatum than a choice. But that's not what happened here. Does that make more sense? If you still disagree that's fine, there's nothing inherently wrong with going against the general grain of society. But, in that case, there's no point in carrying on this conversation further. That would require a deep dive into the philosophical ideas of free will and accountability, which is beyond the scope of what I like to debate in reddit comment sections haha. Cheers

Right? I really enjoyed the gamification with strategizing your spin usage and even the AR stuff was kinda fun. Now it's kinda boring, and like you said, doesn't feel worth the extra effort. I imagine Fold going public is going to make the product worse too, as tends to be the case.

I'll just say that the metaverse is not a crypto idea. It existed way before it, just maybe without the cringe name. Decentraland failing doesn't mean metaverse failed, it just means crypto projects suck at executing the idea or don't really understand the idea because they are too focused on other things. If you're talking about the VR/AR aspect of the metaverse, current VR/AR tech is still not good enough. If you think about it, if actual VR/AR companies haven't cracked the barrier of adoption yet, then how are crypto projects going to? They slap crypto on it and voila... adoption? But seriously, NFT tech fits in very well with the metaverse. It allows for true ownership of digital identity and assets, not just a lease from some big tech company who owns the platform. They aren't just stupid expensive jpegs, it actually has utility if you take a look at how some projects are beginning to use it. The actual intertwining of crypto and the metaverse might be later when both are more mature.

I sold...............some of the coins I had been questioning whether I should have held before this dip, but I immediately took that and bought BTC, ETH, SOL, AR, KAS, etc. I rotated into good projects that also dipped hard, but will recover quickly so I can make some or all of my loss in the shit coins

Thank you AR. Certainly a lot to think about. Writing this as much for you as me. I’ll leave our engineering to the connections. The asset is in Japan and have no idea about regulations. We own the plant but there is some leverage involved. Definitely need to assess counter party risk. We’re constantly in some state of curtailment. I’d imagine some software would help delegate. This is a big job on top of my 9-5. Investing in a consultant or two would certainly pay dividends.

'Always' Like tech never advances? Those headsets will be the size of ski goggles and needing no wires within 5-10 years. AR is a really exciting implementation, like imagine playing paintball in a paintballing center, but actually seeing a space station or alien city and having a story built up around it. Its the same thing people are paying for now, just with more depth and fantasy. ..and yes, of course it's gonna be used for porn long before use cases like that come out.

As a VR enthusiast I actually agree with you. It's a niche novelty, it's fun as hell, but it is so niche that I highly doubt it will take off in the coming years. It could maybe take off if the tech keeps advancing and we get to have smartphone level usability but with some goggles the size of regular glasses. However, this has two key points: the first one, it **needs** to do something other than gaming and "cOoL eXpErIenCes". Cool experiences are nice the first 2 days at best, after that, you want to do something with it. If it only has games, almost all of them feel half-baked and most of them are just a proof of concept, it's not going to hook pretty much anyone, just enthusiasts. However, if you could have a full mobile phone in there in AR/MR, typing was not a shitty experience, it was not ridiculous to wear it outside and its battery lasted at least a full day, it would be one of the greatest inventions ever made. The technology isn't there yet though and won't probably be for at least 20 or 30 years more. Maybe it won't ever get there if interest in VR/AR dies before reaching that point.
