It's probably just anti money-laundering boilerplate that thry perform for flagged entities like crypto exchanges. Crypto onramp/offramp has been made intentionally difficult to prevent people from leaving our banking system. I have made substantial sums of money in crypto and never been questioned by BMO if you're looking for a new bank. I'd be curious what some of the new banks (like EQ) have to say about crypto policy. I recently read that asynchronous backing will reduce the parachains' block time to 6 seconds and the entire TPS will be much faster. I love DOT, but quantity isn't quality. We need more quality parachains joining the ecosystem. One of my projects, DIA, has a quality case study on ASTR. I also like EQ, ACA, PDEX, GLMR, etc. We definitely need more crowdloans.

Great idea. I've been on the opposite end and have been exploiting in games for 30+ years and have botted many times. Back in the EQ/WoW days if a GM thought you were cheating they'd send you a message. If you didn't reply, they'd teleport you somewhere random and watch the bot fuck up and then ban you. A bot detecting AI could do all of that and then some. Pretty neat idea. Not sure I like it though because finding exploits is 94% of the fun.

SOME DJs use vinyl to make the music. people dont often use vinyl in their day to day lives- and that is what we are trying to build here. If you say BTC is the vinyl of blockchain, I would agree with you. it is cumbersome, slow, expensive, old, rarely used by the next generations... but does exactly what it said it would do, and it does it well. The thing is people want to do more with their music than just listen to a whole album start to finish. they want podcasts that run for 3 hours, or a skip function, a play on loop option. they want to be able to email a song to their friends, or create their own playlists, change the EQ without an external amp. It is all well and good to say it sounds better. but it is not functionally better than current digital music. in the same way BTC is very secure, but it is not even close to being functionally as good as ETH, ADA, ALGO, or any other major SC blockchain.
Because he's not stupid in all aspects of life. He still has degrees in physics and math and worked in one of the largest firms in the USA. Some people just have a way higher IQ than EQ.

You can actually save money this way if NFT items can be held onto instead of grinding the same crap out over and over again, paying for it each time. Items that are long grinds or take lots of skill can be sold. They had that back in EQ in the early 2000's - shit they were selling accounts and in game items then on ebay.

I'm closer to DOT and some specific parachains like EQ, ASTR and UNQ. I like what projects can do with Substrate and you can learn a lot by browsing Substrate's webpage. Cosmos is also a great choice, but I prefer Dot's scalability.

Dude is set for life, plans on retiring and is using the military to pay for his college. It’s possible, now he invests in low caps with high utility for the future, game fi as well. Take EQ for instance I had participated in their first token offering and I am up and ready for the second and I know prices shall definitely differ but I like to see it like I am DCAing cos if there were any good opportunity to buy especially at lower prices than my previous, then one should find me ready.
I lost pretty much all my crypto on Celsius. Unfortunately, I wanted to pull my crypto but got delayed due to that stupid HODL mode and the fact that my whitelisted addresses were old addresses that I no longer used and needed to be changed. I wanted to protect my crypto from hackers or impulsive spending, but in hindsight, I probably needed to protect my crypto from Celsius and its scumbag liar of a CEO. My savings from working two part-time jobs while studying full-time at University were practically all in there as I thought holding a couple thousand USDC with 7% APY, about 0.1 BTC, and a whole ETH at something like 5% were realistic yield numbers. For reference, EQ Bank in Canada offered nearly 3-5% interest on GICs, so I thought Celsius's numbers weren't unreasonable. Right now, I've just stopped looking into Celsius, and will accept whatever happens, even if I lose it all. Fortunately, I only invested what I could afford to lose, and I guess in my mind, I lost it all. I won't be missing rent payments, I won't be going hungry, I don't have credit card debt, and I guess I'm doing roughly okay. It feels horrible knowing that my years of being sleep-deprived, socially-alone, overworked, and absolutely stressed out were just stolen from me, but now at least I learned something. The funds I earned were meant to pay off my student loans once I graduated with my Masters next year, but I guess I'll have to work a couple extra years to pay it off now. I've taken up a part-time job while doing my Masters to rebuild my savings and regrow my student-loan-payment-fund. Despite losing all my crypto, I'm still putting about 1/3 of what I earn into Bitcoin and Ethereum, but this time, I've smartened up a little. My first paycheck post-Celsius went to a Ledger Nano S. This is the first and last time I'm putting anything onto CeFi crypto platforms. Fuck you, Mashinsky. I thought you were perhaps different. But you're just another scammer. Rot in hell. Haha so ironically true how the decentralized crypto depends on the centralized traditional finance of banks for income. We get fiats from bankS to buy crypto. There is still this dependence on traditional banks that I am not entirely comfortable with. I remember pulling out some funds from my bank account some weeks ago so I could participate in EQ token public offering. Thinking back now, I would hope I did not have to depend on the money from my traditional bank account.
I quite like your strategy. The only issue here is that one needs to have a stable source of income to keep DCAing into the market as you say. If I were to do such for EQ(if it were listed by now) or BSW or any of the several prospective projects I research on daily, I would have to keep a bag of BUSD for my buy order. Lol
Most proud: Polkadot. I'm holding DOT almost since its inception and I've contributed with some parachains ASTR, PHA, UNQ and EQ. I'm proud of the network as a whole. Least proud: Luna. I have no words to express my feeling here.
That's true but I will still prefer holding some of my assets in a web3 wallet and even cold storage to be safer. I might consider moving my EQ tokens there once I got them over a year after their vesting period, which I recently bought from their token offering from Republic.
This is true, I've been migrating my funds into my web3 wallet for about a year now as some exchanges can manipulate the withdrawal system and make everybody's funds stuck there. Too good, EQ is not yet listed on exchanges and I got no worries about those getting locked. Lol.
Please no one should remind me of Celsius yet again because the trauma is still very clear in my head. I believe the lessons this whole crypto security problems teaches me is to stick to only projects with proper security and asset audit. Just recently I had ensured that for my BSW and EQ holdings while selling off several other tokens I was not so comfortable with their audit.
GLMR and EQ are my favorite. They have features to offer in the ecosystem. GLMR has the best EVM product on Polkadot while EQ is running the first orderbook Dex on polkadot.
