Hi everyone, I'm new to crypto and looking for advice. I recently bought about $50 of 8 coins (so about $400 total) - BTC, ETH, SOL, LTC, UNI, AVAX, AKT, and NEAR. I'm hearing good things are to come this October, and also following the US election. I take it all with a grain of salt but I'd like to try my hand and get some new coins or some more of the coins I have before the start of October. So here's some questions if anyone feels compelled to offer their thoughts: What's the deal with October? Is it just people anticipating the election and buying more, driving up prices? What are your thoughts on my strategy of buying small amounts of 8 coins? Am I just fucking myself with Coinbase service fees? Should I have put more into BTC? In this last week of September, what are your recommendations on coins? In particular I'd like to know of any coins that people suspect will rise in the short term. Should I put a little more money into any of the 8 I already have? Realistically, should I just chill the fuck out and not invest any more cause this whole thing is a crapshoot and mostly for fun? I don't have a ton of money to play with and want to be safe with where it goes. Thanks in advance for your thoughts. Good luck to you all.

SOL belongs near $200. That's just a belief I have. The cosmos ecosystem had its heyday back in 2021 but has a couple of strong coins in the stable. Always held AKT and had some success with STRD.

If you are looking at ATOM, I also recommend OSMO and AKT. Token price may not pay off, honestly, but the dex and VM infrastructure they give you access to are pretty great.

I’ve been into Crypto since 2016. BTC is safest but if playing with smaller amounts you could do a lot worse than my portfolio which is currently: 50% ETH. 25% RENDER 10% SOL 10% ASI (FET & AGIX) 5% AKT.. - Sam Altman - GPU compute will become the most precious commodity on Earth… hence my portfolio is aligned to that.. & the L1s the transactions will be processed on.

r/CryptoMarketsSee Comment

I so much like your crypto portfolios based on utility breakdown. Anyone looking to diversify their portfolio would consider this. However, there is still more to add to the list based on utilities and trends. This includes: DePIN: This includes coins that are dominant in Decentralized Telecoms, Decentralized Cloud computing and AI Data and Intel Provenance. These are projects like Helium (HNT), Akash (AKT), and the Rivalz Network (RIZ), respectively. RWA: This includes coins that are dominant in terms of allowing users to buy traditional assets like real estate, art, bonds, and equity as digital tokens. These are projects like Centrifuge (CFG), Ondo Finance, and Mantra.

I’ve been in Crypto since 2015. Veteran of this game. These are the Alt coins that will play out well this : ETH - SOL - RNDR - FET (ASI) - AKT

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Got into FET around 50 cents and I'm bullish on the whole ASI plan still, but took some good profits. RENDER/RNDR also did well for me. NEAR, AKT and AIOZ are my other bags. Wish I bought TAO but still considering.

I find the bitcoin or nothing attitude amusing. While there are a lot of shitcoins out there, there are a lot of alt coins with specific business case purposes out there, which many of which have outperformed bitcoin in the last year or two. While there are many I would recommend, my favorite is AKT. It provides computing power which is rented out by AI companies, among others, and it has 20Xed in the last year. To make matters more amazing, It can be stored on a ledger wallet while staked at 20% on Keplr. Hard to beat. I take the earnings and split it between more AKT and Bitcoin. That said, it is volatile. So, you have to have the balls to weather the ups and downs. I don’t trade it, so I’m not concerned. Bitcoin is the most stable and consistent, but not the most profitable. There are quite a few few solid alt coins out there. But there is more crap than quality. Do your homework for sure.

Wrong, 80% of my portfolio is BTC ETH SOL AKT, all are higher than 30 days ago.

r/CryptoMarketsSee Comment

Trading is a competition. The shorter the timeframe we looking to buy and sell the make a profit, the more competitive it is. Quarterly and yearly holding times are safer for non-professionals. A safe approach is to split a $10,000 account across 9 crypto ($1,000) each, and $1,000 is cash or stablecoin. Wait for big volatility spikes to take some off to bring the balance back down to $1,000. Also, on dips (~10%) buy some more to bring the balance back to $1,000. So we should always have some cash. If we leverage our account, a normal 10% move (which is noise in crypto) will wipe us out. Only the broker and the broker's kids benefit from this. I have 10 alts:: 5 of these are: 1. FET 2 AKT 3. STX 4. DOGE 5. AERO Plus bitcoin ETF in a Tax-Advantage account 1. IBIT 2. BTCC.B

Folks can hate on SOL all they want and yes if they can get their heads out of their asses with the outages, they’d be crushing it waaay more. Anyway… Long Term: BTC 40% SOL 30% ETH 20% ALT 10% Short Term: BTC 40% SOL 25% ETH 15% ALT (AERI, AKT, GRT, RNDR, AIOZ) 20% I’m pretty conservative so I plan accumulating and hold BTC, SOL, ETH for the next 5-10 years til retirement. I’ll play around with alt coins but I’m not too attached any of them unless one goes on a 100-1000x run like AERO.

Thoughts on AKT as part of DePIN play? I have some but I'm thinking of exiting my position. On paper the project sounds good, but I can't see why businesses would use it instead of Azure or Google Cloud, especially if they have to follow regulatory requirements around having to store certain data in datacenters in their respective regions. When it comes to cloud infrastructure, business usage is what counts.

Easy. There are 3 narratives to this bullrun. BTC, as a hedge against inflation. Meme Coins, get rich quick. Aritificial Intelligence, because the whole world is talking about Ai. With AKT, you combine Ai & Crypto. They have a AkashChatGPT that is completely decentralized and uncensored, you don’t need an account to use it. Truly decentralized. They have a marketplace for on demand H100 GPU’s that you can rent per hour and start building decentralized applications and immediately deployable. They are the only provider of ON DEMAND decentralized GPU’s. This competes with Amazon AWS, Microsoft Cloud Providers & others like Oracle etc. They are cheaper than all of them by the way. Also, they have an amazing team. Check out their Twitter and you’ll become quickly convinced. They also have the strongest chart in all of Crypto against BTC pair. Check BTC/AKT chart. Don’t make the mistake of denominating AKT in dollars. Do it against Bitcoin. Also, recently listed on Coinbase before ATH. (Mega bullish) they also are on Coinbase Custody which allows bigger players to accumulate AKT & have Coinbase hold it for institutional purposes. & lastly, it’s rumored to almost get a Binance Listing. Check them out and you’ll come to the conclusion that they are probably THE best Ai play this cycle. Easy 20x Maybe 50x I’m in from .55 cents & personally have about 23200 tokens. My conviction is massive. Lmk what you think. If you want a Meme coin ape play, go $Boden & sell in November during the elections.

FET's done great for me, and it's got a big partnership in the works with ocean protocol and singularity net - they're going to combine their coins to create a new full stack AI project that handles decentralized compute, retrieval, and training in large language models all in one project. RENDER also has done very well. Another decentralized compute and distributed graphics processing play. Holding TAO is the pure play AI product of the cycle, providing trained machine intelligence as a service. Not holding but I damn sure wish I was. AKT and FIL both seem well placed for AI exposure because of their open source cloud computing and decentralized data storage/retrieval. I hold some of both. NEAR was created by one of the most influential modern AI coders that helped inspire and lead to the creation of chat gpt. Many suspect a pivot from NEAR into the sector. Planning on picking some up AIOZ is a promising decentralized distributed content delivery network play, think streaming videos/playing games online. Another I'm holding. These are the ones I'm watching/holding for this cycle. DYOR ofc. And take profits regularly if you get them because I doubt all of them will have lasting staying power.

How decentralised can they be if they're offering H100s? Most people can't afford to spend 40k on one of those, so only a few wealthy individuals or companies will own them, making it quite centralised, and there would need to be a ton of them for AKT to be truly on-demand, otherwise people will have to queue/ reserve them, like with Render. Isn't there any provision in AKT for the network, or individual node operators, to reject certain jobs that might be illegal? I certainly wouldn't want my GPU being used to generate deep fake porn or images of CSE. What about GPU or AIOZ? How is AKT better than them? Isn't it likely that a big company like Microsoft or Google that can afford to buy loads of H100s and can power them with free or very low cost electricity will be able to undercut any decentralised network and still make a profit, and users will chose them simply because they're cheaper? Assuming that all of these networks will have some restrictions on what they can be used for, why would someone choose to pay more to use them, rather than a cheaper centralised system?

RNDR doesn’t have on-demand GPU’s nor is it truly a permissionless network. Most people have the impression that RNDR like AKT is a super cloud but in fact it is not. Back to the permissionless idea, you have to fill out a form to get access to RNDR GPU’s. I also feel like they are more inclined to “sell their soul” to centralized institutions. AKT apart from actually being decentralized and having on demand GPU’s they are truly decentralized due to their permissionless nature. They are a super cloud and their network of On demand are some of the cheapest in the market at 1.50hr for H100’s

The amounts I trade with aren't big enough that it's constantly on my mind or I'm stressed about, so I think its fun and a good way to learn about the markets. I just buy coins that look technically good (for example buying on 200 EMA, consolidating triangle, or dumping on to old support at least -40% down). Then I sell on breakouts or +40% days. I sell most of the position after 50% runs, unless I have a price target in mind. I haven't had a losing trade (yet) I either sell at profit or a wash (slightly negative considering fees/spread) - 12 trades total, 10 profit, 2 wash. The only position I'm down on right now is -$100 on AKT (-7.5%), but the chart looks fine so not really concerned. I don't go super hard in a single position, so when I sell the position the profits are usually between $100 - $500. My average return is 25%
