DVPN has been around for a while, at least since early 2021. I had a huge bag, they moved from Ethereum to Cosmos and were doing well but the constant VC unlocks infuriated the holders and when they politely asked for the unlocking schedule and doxxing the team, they said some BS along the lines of ‘you guys must be Russian intelligence agency’. This was right after the Ukraine war broke out. They seemed too immature so a lot of Cosmos people sold their bags including myself. I think they’ll do extremely well in the coming halving bull run though; VPN is a service that’s intuitively appealing to most common people, so I might be getting another bag in a few months. You should check if their VPN still works, used to be on the Google Store and AppStore.

SENTINEL DVPN is the answer you are looking for. It’s a VPN infrastructure built by nodes from random people around the world. Then applications are developed on top of it. If you setup a node you mine a token. This token is used also for using the network. Similar to Helium’s original whitepaper.

It would be good to know what standard we need to hold them to when it does claim "web 3.0" as well. I am not in the industry, but I have come to regard Web 3.0 as being based around owning your digital identity. So far, and I'm not an expert, these projects strike me as being Web 3.0 projects. -LBRY -Siacoin -Sentinel DVPN -Monero -The Secret Network -MMaps But again, I'm not an expert, and I love to get corrected when I'm wrong. Sure thing. You're using CDC as a reference which is one of the main contributors to getting the COSMOS IBC launched so I'll start there with tokens also on the IBC. > AKT - AKASH - Akash is a decentralized cloud computing platform that allows developers to deploy and manage applications in a serverless environment. It is built on top of the blockchain technology and enables users to rent out their unused computing resources in exchange for the platform's native token, AKT. > > Sentinel - DVPN -DVPN stands for "Decentralized Virtual Private Network". It is a type of VPN that uses blockchain technology and peer-to-peer networking to provide users with a secure, private, and decentralized way to access the internet. > >Jackal - JKL - Jackal Protocol is a blockchain and storage network designed to make cloud storage safer. Let's branch out to some cooler ones that use NFTs and other Data. These could be independent L1 networks, or tokens on ETH (ERC20) >VeChain - VET - VeChain's main utility is its ability to provide users with real-time information about the location, condition, and history of goods as they move through the supply chain. This is achieved through the use of digital identifiers, called "VeChain IDs", which are attached to physical products and track their movement and status on the blockchain. > >Chainlink - LINK - Chainlink provides a solution to this limitation by allowing smart contracts to securely access and utilize off-chain data and systems, such as weather data, stock prices, and payment systems. This is achieved through a decentralized network of nodes, called "oracles", that retrieve and verify data from multiple sources and then deliver it to the smart contract in a tamper-proof manner. > >LTO Network - LTO - "EL Tio" -LTO Network's solution for land rights management is based on the concept of "legal transfer objects" or LTOs. LTOs are digital representations of physical objects, such as land parcels, that can be used to securely and transparently manage ownership and transfer rights. In the context of land registry, LTOs can be used to record and verify the ownership and transfer of land parcels, as well as any liens, encumbrances, or other legal restrictions. LTOs can also be used to automate the process of title registration and transfer, reducing the time and cost associated with traditional land registry systems. LTOs on Chain land rights are created through a process of "anchoring" or linking digital data to physical assets. This is achieved through a combination of digital signatures, cryptographic hashes, and timestamps, which provide a secure and tamper-proof record of ownership and transfer rights. > >TLDR; On Chain Land Deeds

It is, but some properties of Bitcoin are ideal for some things. Being a public ledger since inception was a crucial philosophicsl aspect thag led to its wide adoption and legitimacy. I think that we have room for many different coins and tokens for various needs. I like LBRY. I don't look at it as a "payment solution" or "medium of transfer" or "storage of value". I look at it as a "medium of freedom" freedom from the powers that be and freedom from censorship whether good or bad. Monero is also akin to the Secret Network. The Secret Network may not be as anonymous as Monero but still allows for some anonymity but with guvmint compliance when necessary. A company may shy away from Bitcoin because its public, shun Monero for reputation and embrace The Secret Network as the right solution. I also think projects like Sentinel ($DVPN) with their decentralized VPN services can work well with Monero. How about: you protect yourself with Sentinel, wrap your Monero and send it on the Secret Network (with built-in, from-the-bottom-up privacy of the Cosmos Network) and use an exchange to swap for something else to collateralize.

Sure, it can be good, but what do you want to learn? You need a personalized experience for your own goals, and that's up to you. Do you want to learn new tech stacks? Is that smart contracts, or any blockchain project? There are so many different projects to take a look at that a single course won't even mention once. Excluding smart contracts, here are some I personally use: $AKT is great for backends and most images you can think of, $GLM is perfect for heavy CPU or GPU computations but worse at normal apps, $SC (esp. Skynet & Filebase) is awesome for storage, maybe there's room for $MYST or $DVPN for proxies in some way, the list goes on. For smart contracts, you can use $ETH, $MATIC, $ALGO, $EVMOS, and a dozen other projects. Some of these use Solidity, some don't, and you will want to change your approach accordingly.

r/CryptoMarketsSee Comment

As a developer, anything I can personally make use of. While I don't speculate on their prices, they will be game changers for their respective niches. $AKT is great for backends and most images you can think of, $GLM is perfect for heavy CPU or GPU computations but worse at normal apps, $SC (esp. I own way less ATOM than I do tokens inside that "hub" it's somewhat confusing there in that unlike ETH being the main token of all the subtokens. ALMOST each project in the ATOM IBC are all independent L1 blockchains with their own tokenomics. Their inflation rate does not bother me one bit, Just owning a handful of ATOM and SCRT earned me nearly 5 figures of Airddrops from 2021-today. I also believe ATOM as a main layer voted for enterprise level blockchains to exists on that side. But the concept of ATOM being the mother token is somewhat lost in the IBC as a whole. I highly encourage anyone to DYOR on the entire ecosystem, don't get me wrong there's some shitcoins out there too... For example my favorite REAL project is [Secret Network](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FWNGxw9XEAE-NK1?format=jpg&name=4096x4096) some of the tokens over there have INSANE tokenomics like [Button swaps (BUTT)](https://thecoinperspective.com/compare/buttcoin-2) Not to mention they were originally Enigma on ETH and have weathered multiple winters. But CMDX is going to provide a synthetic commodity exchange and I feel that will go well. DVPN has working Android and iOS blockchain based VPN apps.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

In no particular order: ATOM, GALA, CMDX, AKT, DVPN, SOL, EVMOS, OSMO

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

That's true, but the decentralized part I think would be great to have for VPNs. Like what sentinel is doing: "Only Open-Source VPN/DVPN White-Label Provider Contrary to other centralized white-label providers, Sentinel actually reveals the back-end functionality of the dVPN architecture, providing the assurance that there is no data being centrally logged." The current no-log VPNs, the user can't tell at all whether their data is actually not logged. Governments can still contact VPNs to hunt someone down.

I've used both Dot and Cosmos networks. Cosmos wins at the moment. Hands down. The best Dot Dapp is PolkaSocial and only because of the quality not by adoption(probably dead now). Cosmos has better DEXs with Superfluid staking (earn two rewards at the same time) liquid staking (No lockup time) and the smoothest, nicest UI/UX in crypto. They have useful products such as a privacy browser(Decentr), DVPN(Sentinel), the best auditing service in crypto (Certik), NFT markets (Stars, OmniFlix) Lending and borrowing (Kava, UMEE, soon Crescent), Social media similar to PolkaSocial(Like, Desmos), business solutions and synthetic trading(Comdex, Lum), and Ethereum, Bitcoin bridges that are smooth, fast, and cheap. The airdrops are unique to Cosmos. No other project in crypto pays stakers as much as this ecosystem. I've received over 30K in airdrops within the last year, most from less than a few hundred dollars in ATOM. Cosmos embraces decentralization by distributing large allocations of a projects supply to holders. Just this month I've received over $5k in airdrops. Here's a list of upcoming airdrops: Signal (SGNL) Cronus Finance (CRN Obscure Finance JACKAL DAO (JKL) Owlies Game Hub (GAME) Exswap Bitsong CoolCat (CCAT) Universe DAO Cosmon Diffusion Finance (DIFF) Passage3d (PASG) Hansum (HANSUM) Decentr Quicksilver Protoco Senate (SPQR) OmniFlix (FLIX Craft Economy (CRAFT) Orbem Wars (NFT) Andromaverse Bostrom (BOOT) (a.k.a. CyberGift) As it stands, Cosmos is the winner in my opinion. It's smoother, nicer, and more rewarding for supporters. That's not to say Gavin won't pull ahead in the future. He's brilliant and I would never count anything he works on out. I also believe there's a future for both Cosmos and Polkadot.

You didn’t point out a single fallacy in my post..? DeFi is a fallacy. All of the issues with crypto trading are being dealt with via centralization… Your anecdotal experience with the early web is a fallacy. The blockchain is not a new internet, and Web3 doesn’t actually solve any of the “issues” perceived with Web2. Your mention of DVPN and AKT highlight the issue with crypto ideas perfectly. All of the content online is about trading the coins, staking the coins, making money off of the coins. By turning every application into a financial product you ruin incentives to create longterm value and instead heavily incentivize short-term growth in a manner many in conventional finance would describe as (at best) disingenuous. Do you not find it concerning that you have to go pages deep on google to even figure out what DPN does? It’s another pump and dump - the millionth iteration in the crypto world. Having finally tracked down a vague description of what it does, it’s hardly revolutionary. On the other hand, I literally can’t even discern what AKT is.

Mentions:#DVPN#AKT
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

Hey there friend, I think your post has a few glaring fallacies, even if there is more truth to it than many will want to admit. 1) You can be right that this "cannabis coin" is totally useless (there's something against this regarding the blossoming cannabis industry being mostly unable to use the banking system due to a mismatch of local and federal laws -- speaking about the US. But I have little interest in that and I will take it's uselessness at face value for the purposes of this response). 2) Yes, I would agree that 99% of crypto that exists is a scam of some sort, and as useless as can be. And yes, the great majority of it will die out. So was the case with the dotcom bubble of the mid to late 90s, which doesn't mean that it is not a transformative industry that will shape our world in the decades to come. When I first had internet at home -- 1992, because my parents were in academia -- you could basically only ask what time it was, and read headlines of a handful of newspapers. (Sure, my parents used it for less trivial stuff) 3) Don't mix making money with progress. Those are two very different things. I would even argue that if crypto is to make good on its political promise, people should not get filthy rich. Defi is perhaps a way to invert the horrifying trend of wealth concentration (not to increase it), and I think adoption is materializing. 4) If you think crypto has no use case, you're misinformed. Defi is one, but there are many others. I'll name DVPN and AKT as two examples of many. Will they make it? Who knows. But they make damn good sense to me. Cheers

The largest argument against ATOM is that while it is the centerpiece for the Cosmos Network, there’s no fundamental contract that guarantees it will always be. The immediate note (especially for investors) is that BNB, LUNA and CRO are all built on the same open source tools; Tendermint, Cosmos SDK and IBC protocol. Every coin in the Cosmos Network is a sovereign blockchain, some with competing interests and overlapping goals. ATOM’s Gravity Dex might have been a tremendous boon for the Cosmos Hub, but it’s regularly overshadowed by the DeFi Lab on Osmosis. I personally love ATOM but right now it’s more of a respected IBC Legacy, it’s like the Cosmos Network’s Bitcoin- it’s where all the money is, for now. It doesn’t have a directed purpose like other Cosmos Network coins; e.g. SCRT has privacy goals, JUNO pushing forward with smart contracts, DVPN is operating VPN services, even HuaHua is popping off because it’s a memecoin. There’s a lot happening for ATOM this year and it’s going to need success on every development to stay in the forefront, but it’s vision of being a central hub zone in the Cosmos Network makes it valuable but also paints a great big target on its back.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

People who picked up and held ATOM are feeling pretty good right now, we're up about 37% since the first of the year. The OSMOSIS DEX broke 1 billion in liquidity for the first time this week. If you haven't been there, take a look, there are liquidity pools up to 300%+ apy. While alot of people are seeing a dip, most of the Cosmos ecosystem is up substantially: JUNO, CMDX, BTSG, DVPN, AKT, IRIS, and IOV. LUNA is down, but had a great climb in Dec. It's really worth paying some attention to Cosmos in 2022.

r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

I do that with my alt projects I believe in but not off of dips like this! For example DVPN just tanked because dev funds got unbonded A -50% is about when I’ll start dca’ing back into projects I’m red on because I don’t have as strong of conviction into the smaller mc coins

I think airdrops may have something to do with it Hearing about ENS/UNI and the. how OSMO / JUNO have gone may get some attention I personally wish I diversified sooner into LUNA CRO & JUNO as my first two IBC bags were AKT/DVPN I’d like to pick up some REGEN after learning about their mission sounds like a good one

DVPN is a promising project that just dumped (early backers had their tokens unlocked) so now is a fair time to buy in. As the name suggests, they're building a decentralized vpn network.

To get a good staking rec, you need to spec time frame and risk tolerance. Without that you are shooting in the dark. I stake value coin with high multiple potential, but don't stake anything under 12% as it is not worth it ROI wise. AKT, DVPN will get you \~50% or better, CAKE >70% (no unstake period!), CTK >20%, etc. I stake all these accordingly.

I understand your point. I too look for undervalued projects to invest in. I made a killing with ONE, for example, back when it traded for fractions of a penny. But now that it has gone 50x, is it still undervalued? I want to think it is, because they have a great roadmap ahead and all, but this may we'll be wishful thinking of my part. Same goes for ATOM (less X's here, though) and a lot of the ecosystem (DVPN and AKT, to mention two). If/when a full-on bear market comes, I'll ape into them all, but maybe the next bottom will be higher than today's trading value. I just find it very hard to predict how price will move, especially not devoting all of my time to this. But I wish you the best in timing these things :)

DVPN by Sentinel. It's a dvpn chain on the Cosmos hub. Great product!

Depends on where you’re staking. I stake my coins but none of them are locked. Defeats the whole point imo. The only one i have that locks is the Cosmos based cryptos (ATOM, CRO, DVPN) and they only have a safeguard to have an unstaking period like either 1 month, 28 days, or something shorter. Staking ethereum is like that, but it’s kind of a big league game. Staking on Algorand or Ada is just loose staking mostly (Algorand’s the loosest with automatic staking for now) No you don’t have to be online everyday to vote. That’s ridiculous. There’s some voting protocols, but they have waiting periods to even vote.

I provide liquidity in several pools: LUNA/OSMO, CRO/OSMO, DVPN/OSMO, ATOM/OSMO, etc.

All cosmos in my portfolio. Staking Juno, Atom, Xprt, DVPN, Osmo, Luna, CMDX, Huahua, LUM, and LPing CMDX for a healthy profit daily

DVPN on cosmos, roast it

Yeah good buy also. Price looks bottomed out and with the “Web3” train building steam it could be big along with DVPN.

Osmosis, buy 1k and start staking and LPing. Then, use your daily rewards to branch into other promising projects like CRO, ATOM, JUNO, DVPN. Or take your daily rewards and split half back into Osmo, and half into a stablecoin and then trade that for BTC. But every strategy will depend on certain factors. Good luck!

It's RIDICULOUS how many great projects are on Cosmos....ATOM, JUNO, CRO, LUNA, OSMO, SCRT, DVPN....

I’ve made a few low level comments every now and then on this sub about the Cosmos Network. The Cosmos SDK, Tendermint Engine and IBC is the underlying tech of the second largest crypto ecosystem second only to Ethereum, except it’s already doing what ETH 2.0 is hoping to accomplish. Binance Coin and CRO are both built on the Cosmos SDK, but they’re centralized exchanges so they’re off on their own a bit. The other projects springing up in the Cosmos Network are interesting and exciting, and like OP if you had invested early this year you would have qualified for half a dozen airdrops that would have multiplied the size of your portfolio- with more coins dropping soon. OSMO features a DEX that swaps nearly every available coin in the Cosmos Network, and soon coins outside of it. JUNO provides smart contracts. DVPN is the coin of Sentinel, creating decentralized VPN applications. Omniflix aims to offer decentralized media streaming platforms and NFT minting. Althea Network is actually providing decentralized Internet service to actual rural users. Whether the coin prices go up or down, the tech is here to stay.

How is it speculating? The Microsoft stock could just as easily be worth $10000 after 15 years. Its the loan officer speculating and taking the risk, not me. Crypto has more uses than obviously good for loans, its obviously good for ant-censorship and pro-privacy. Look at DVPN a decentralized VPN that can allow girls in Afghanistan to receive online school without retribution from the Taliban or a chinese person wanting to buy a "Xi Jingping sucks" T-shirt from America and pay for it with Bitcoin and not worry about being monitored and censored Look at Odysee. A decentralized Youtube where free speech is allowed (more than YouTube anyway) and what you view isnt being used to sell you stuff Look at MXC and Helium, building future private individual owned 5G and IoT networks that circumvent the telecommunications conglomerates.

Crypto is literally the collateral to get a loan for more cash or crypto. Its not swapped for cash. Crypto is the medium for which a dVPN can operate for instance DVPN (Sentinel) whicj circumvents censorship for countries where they dont have free speech

I’m so overwhelmed by the potential in this ecosystem Staker of: ATOM OSMO AKT DVPN LP’ing on Osmosis is incredible returns so I stumbled down some of these projects I just recently got into ION it’s part of osmo’s genesis block and it just hit an ATH during this down trend !

I think most projects on Cosmos actually sound interesting, although I've only done enough DD to invest in a few. Ones I'm personally in on: * Osmosis: The Uniswap of the Cosmos ecosystem. * Terra: Decentralized stablecoins, plus a host of novel apps like Anchor (savings protocol that sells staking asset staking rewards to generate a fixed 20% return on stables) and meatspace integrations via debit cards like Chai and Kash. * Crypto.com: Most people here probably know this one, I use the exchange so I have some of the crypto. * JUNO: Smart contract platform with a 97% community allocation, airdropped to ATOM stakers (except exchange wallets) on genesis. No seed round, public sale or pre-sale, which makes this an interesting experiment to me in an era where everything is funded by VCs who get tokens for pennies pre-launch and dump on the community. Ones I'm not in on by want to explore more: * DVPN: VPN service without a centralized entity that could sell your data behind your back. * Akash: Decentralized cloud services. Osmosis's website runs on Akash. * Secret Network: Privacy-focused smart contract platform. If Monero = private Bitcoin, Secret = private Ethereum.

Yeah, but what’s the incentive? I would run a node for Algorand but it doesn’t do anything for me besides allow bragging rights. There’s gotta be something for something. I know with DVPN you can run a node and you get paid for it.

Anyone into DVPN?

You're right, Ethereum can be integrated into Cosmos. Ethereum itself is too jammed packed full of tech. It's at max overload and that's why the fees are the way they are. Instead of Uniswap, go to https://app.osmosis.zone/ it's an entire blockchain dedicated to AMM protocol. DVPN is an entire blockchain dedicated to a VPN protocol. Juno is an entire blockchain dedicated to a smart contract protocol. Spreading the work throughout each chain allows for traffic to be less congested and efficiency of code design for each task to be maximized. Ethereum...was a fantastic 2nd generation tech and got us to where we are today. But jamming every single task into one chain... just isn't the way. What happens to your phone when you have 30 apps open and 12 things downloading in the background? Now imagine 30 different phones, all running individual apps. None of those phones would ever crash because they aren't being stressed per service like the 1 phone model is. Ethereum is like every single user trying to use the same phone for their own special task. Spread it out. Cosmos.Network is the way. It's inevitable.
