I really like Cosmos and hold bags of the following: ATOM, JUNO, OSMO, STARS, HUAHUA and EVMOS (among smaller holdings of stuff I was airdropped). I feel there is a lot of potential and have liked some of the projects. Osmosis is a really good exchange, and if they can find a way to get Bitcoin over (whether bridged or native) I think it will result in some great gains. Unfortunately the bear market has decimated most from their ATH to some pretty paltry prices. Will they ever attain their previous values? Who knows, we all know shit about fuck, but I have hope for the future and see a lot more airdrops coming this year. Now I just need to remember to take some profits this time if they do go up.
I am happy to see WYND maybe launch a nice DEX on it, I have always been happy about Permission-less Contracts for anyone to create. Despite a few shitbirds using it to create rugs, that's always gonna be happening where money flows. HUAHUA too is also doing permission-less contract creation now, and does not bear the scar of Prop 18. Which even that does not bother me about JUNO too much as it does others.
All respect to the REKT SOL fans with BONK really. We all know it's a shitcoin. I don't own any, but you bet your ass I have put a lil bit into my favorite ecosystem ATOMs degen gambles for the next bull. We have PUPPY with a 21M supply on HUAHUA, does nothing it'll likely rug my $20 and my absolute favorite BUTT on SCRT, which is less of a shitcoin outside of the original meme name as it's an aggregate DEX with limit orders and so much more. [But the tokenomics...](https://thecoinperspective.com/compare/buttcoin-2) The same devs fairdropped AMBERDAO (Also on SCRT) in like November with only an 8,888 supply. But today we celebrate the SOL degens that maybe are in a better place gains wise today..Maybe the shitcoin gods will bless my ecosystem soon. I still got El Tio as a hedge too...
I Starting to see a trend which is really disgusting... Projects throwing very limited nfts which are only useful for an snapshot with the floor dropping way below the mint price after that. It's kinda private sells bia discord groups in the end HUAHUA and others, stop being asholes
Two new dog coins to get you nostalgic. [HUAHUA](https://www.chihuahua.wtf/) \- Originally a flat out meme, but through governance has become a permissionless interoperable smart contract platform kinda like JUNO. It has a DEX launching soon as well afaik. The governance also implemented a massive burn mechanism. [The above meme had a PUPPY two weeks ago...and it's a 21M max supply meme within a meme](https://cosmospug.com/puppy-chart/) I put $20 of staking rewards in last week at .02 and I'm kinda happy your post reminded me to check on it...
Understand Tendermint IBC, download Keplr and use it. It is a great ecosystem with some brilliant devs constantly building on it. The ATOM token will also likely become deflationary following a tokenomics upgrade in the coming weeks/months. Plus interchain security means its valset will be used to secure other chains, so stakers of ATOM will receive constant airdrops of other tokens leveraging the security of ATOM. I would also look at JUNO and EVMOS if you want to gain exposure to the Cosmos ecosystem. HUAHUA too: it seems like a meme coin but it has massive utility since it uses Tendermint consensus (same as Cosmos), is IBC enabled, fast & cheap, has a strong valset, active governance and a super low market cap, smart contracts were also just enabled and the first dapps are being deployed while inflation is rapidly reducing A large chunk of supply is also being burnt every day and a long-term fee burn mechanism is being implement. Remember to stake any cosmos coins you buy, you will gain access to lots of airdrops (provided you meet minimum staking requirements) and by compounding frequently, you will keep building your stacks. UMEE is also a great IBC chain which is very young and yet to enable its core feature. Get in early. Enjoy!
Just take your pick. I invested in Chihuahua Chain (HUAHUA). Cosmos' first "useless meme coin". It actually did really well and then tanked. Not a rug, just no purpose and rewards dried up and market went with it. Fast forward to like 2 weeks ago. Burn implemented. Instant 4x. I'm still down, but I never sold. Just staked & compounded. Then again I only stake/LP (even my ETH/BTC holdings are in LPs across multiple dex's).
I saw someone mention on Twitter that a meme coin called HUAHUA is pumping like crazy this week. I went to check it out and low and behold I had some from an air drop that I totally forgot about... Worth $45. So I got that goin for me which is nice.

Some things I learned along the way watching the gauge daily: * Being down sucks and everyone is hurting. It's best to not look at it if you can't do anything about it * Do not sell unless you absolutely have to and have no other recourse (in fiat - there are programs and available "hardship" withdrawals/loans if you're in a pinch) * Buy buy buy if you have any spare fiat * 1 coin = 1 coin * Yes, some coins trend towards 0. I've lost on ICP, DOGE, SHIB, SPELL, HUAHUA, and a few others. I've gained more than I've lost though * DCA is king * It's much easier to stomach red days stacked on top of red days **if your assets are being put to work** * DYOR, but I hold very few assets which earn little or nothing (ETH & BTC mostly). Everything else is earning whether in staking, lending, or liquidity pools * **Have a plan**. No plan = disaster no matter how the market goes. My plan for 2022 is to accumulate until June and take profits the remainder of the year, then start the process anew. Market conditions don't matter (only difference will be what the daily profits are) * The beauty of staking/LPs is you get SOME return and still maintain principal. Yes if your principal is tanking that's rough, but you still own the "same" amount if you can deal with it psychologically * Upskill and get a raise, a promotion, or if you're stuck a new job. It's a great market for moving up (at least currently in the US) * Don't keep your money on centralized exchanges for the most part * Take time to learn a little bit about crypto, the space, the markets, your projects, other projects, the tech, etc. every day. Doesn't take much. 5-10 minutes of reading some article or perusing some news is all it takes. The wealth of knowledge you acquire over a year will be massive and will help you make better decisions (especially when vetting new projects) Keep your heads up fellas, we'll be green again. Off to mine some fiat *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/CryptoCurrency) if you have any questions or concerns.*
Yea HUAHUA is staked on omniflix or wherever but you can only claim / stake Cerberus on the Cerberus stake zone right now anyway. Cosmostation is your best bet they’re usually the first to add beta chains, you’ll be queried to authorize your HUAHUA address from the cerbus zone
Nice! Thanks for letting me know. Don't have any HUAHUA, but I have plenty of OSMO and ATOM staked. Hope I do well on those airdrops. Not sure I understand the ratio for OSMO and ATOM though... 1 OSMO = 1921 CRBRUS? 1 ATOM = 107 CRBRUS?
I don't think any of them currently offer 300 APR; closest would maybe be ATOM/STARS or HUAHUA at around 270. If you look up the governance on Osmosis you can see the upcoming incentive adjustments every week that are voted on. Pretty sure they are adjusted based on trading levels but could be wrong.
Sweetheart, 65% of my portfolio is BTC/ETH. I'm not gonna go "irresponsibly long" on stuff like JUNO. 30% of my portfolio is in the Cosmos system partly coz I actually like the concept and IBC and also the decentralized algorithmic stablecoin UST that runs on it … and partly coz my CDC cars stake is in CRO, which is cosmos too. And the only thing that's a meme coin in my portfolio is HUAHUA coz it's fun and I get 500% APY from staking. Now if your definition of shitcoins is "all that isn't BTC" then I would kindly ask you to go back into the Bitcoin maxi cave you crawled out from.
Same. I started investing early October last year so I did get the market rise and could've cashed out at a 50% total gain on my portfolio but I just felt weird about cashing out after 2 months lol and I had always planned to be "irresponsiby long" xD So I'm sitting here with my 10% loss now and just observing and waiting. In the meantime I generate gains with staking in the cosmos infrastructure (ATOM, CRO, OSMO, JUNO and even HUAHUA lol) and with some earn stuff on Kraken and CDC and ofc the CDC Cashback.
You can get better than that holding and staking JUNO or OSMO or all kinds of legit projects on osmosis.zone with much better exit liquidity and far more use case/potential. Just my opinion though. If you want a moon shot with crazy high APY get a small bag of HUAHUA and stake that for 400% APY or even further out there is something like INVICTUS DAO ($IN) using Solana for 20,000+ APY. At least those have confirmed millions of dollars in Liquidity 🤷🏻♂️
For people that don’t believe this figure some of the drops have occurred in 2022 but the snapshots were from 2021 Between osmo/ion ; Juno/neta. Stars, HUAHUA, REGEN SCRT . Smallest ones like CMDX BTSG DSM LUM SOMM NOM DIG Expected ones this month : SHDE EVMOS which are both going to be huge drops again. I am a cosmonaut and my airdrops. /IBC bags are bigger than my original atom stake I’m hoping pup
If you want a dog token that has potential and you can still be early on with relatively fair distribution get some HUAHUA on the cosmos network (from osmosis.zone) and stake it for 400% APY. Your chances of getting rich on that dog vs SHIB are about 100x greater.
I get 350% apr LP’ing and 100+ staking on coins like stars juno and HUAHUA Osmos and others are paying less than (100% apr but more like 80’s) Atom’s staking is 14.5% I don’t add much to that anymore either because LP’s and other IBC tokens yield so high
I’ll repost a comment I’ve made before (but updated!): OSMO, ION, JUNO, NETA, STARS and HUAHUA were all airdrops that are now each individually worth more than my initial investment into ATOM last February. “The Internet of Blockchains;” the tagline was simple to grasp and the IBC tech was on schedule to debut by May, so I put in a little for ATOM then **BIG BANG** and over the course of the past year the Cosmos just kept growing. There was absolutely no expectation that these sort of airdrops would occur or reach these prices so quickly. There were no big marketing campaigns and early on there were few folks on Reddit who were equipped to answer even the most earnest questions but with every tumultuous step that ATOM took (always growing, but so often outpaced in the market), the rest of the coins in the Cosmos Network flourished. It’s been a wild adventure so far, and still all I can think about is “what happens next?” In the short term, there are more airdrops coming in the Cosmos Network, but JUNO has a platform for minting new CW20 coins which are built on top of JUNO, much like the architecture of Ethereum tokens. I expect there will be a lot of CW20 airdrops (NETA being the first) and not all of them will come from reputable teams, have clear goals or much potential value, so always research and ask questions before diving in. Coins like ATOM, OSMO, JUNO, HUAHUA, and STARS are all independent and sovereign blockchains in the Cosmos Network. They’re connected to each other through IBC (inter-blockchain protocol) but all exist separately, and none necessarily require any of the others.
I do stake some stuff on Kraken where I can't be arsed to set up a wallet and my ETH is locked there too. My BTC is partly in crypto.com earn And all my cosmos infrastructure coins (CRO, ATOM, OSMO, JUNO, HUAHUA etc) are on a wallet coz I can use Cosmostation for all of them and that makes it easy to manage staking and reinvesting … also: airdrops!

ATOM is my second favorite crypto. The Cosmos ecosystem is my favorite ecosystem. For full disclosure, BTC and ETH are my biggest bags. ALGO is a distant third and ATOM is right at its heals as number four. But my money in the Cosmos ecosystem (ATOM, OSMO, JUNO, STARS, SCRT, and more) is a fair bit more than my money in the Algorand ecosystem (ALGO and YLDY mostly). Osmosis is awesome. Airdrops are awesome (JUNO was huge, STARS was nice, NETA was insane though I only got a small part of it, HUAHUA the memecoin even made me a fair bit of money, and that is only the surface). Airdrops, especially fair drops, can be huge for the smaller investors. The NETA fair drop was worth more than $20k for those who had minimal JUNO staked and voted on all votes (or about 75% as much if you voted once). Someone with a few hundred dollars or less in JUNO could have received a $20k+ reward. I had a large bag of JUNO, but failed to vote on the JUNO chain. But even someone like me got over $1k worth of NETA. And for larger investors, airdrops like JUNO that give you more when you have more staked are huge. For every ATOM I had staked, I got one JUNO. I now have significantly more JUNO than ATOM due to the insane 100%+ APY rate (even higher a couple months back). And now JUNO is worth $29 and ATOM is $30. Just this single airdrop has given me a 100% return on ATOM. ATOM has its risks. It is not all chocolate and rainbows. But no other investment has given me the returns ATOM has over the last 6 months or so. BTC is still my best overall investment. But since Osmosis and the Cosmos ecosystem blowing up, ATOM has been by far my best returning bag due to airdrops (JUNO, STARS, NETA, HUAHUA, and more).
I was too late for the Stargaze snapshot (my crypto was still on an exchange at that point). But lucky anyone who did get that one. It's a promising project, so I've actually bought some STARS. I got some HUAHUA from an airdrop, and I've qualified for some FLIX and maybe others (I think, we'll see). I'm still figuring out what else I'm eligible for. But aound 80% of my crypto is in the Cosmos ecosystem. I see it eventually overtaking Ethereum tbh. Anyone who has used chains on Cosmos and compared them to Ethereum will tell you the user experience is far better. Much faster and no silly fees.
Which airdrops did you get? Did you get any STARS for staking Atom? CMDX? DSM? HUAHUA? If you have an appetite for risk but don't want to be liquidated and you like staking have a look at osmosis.zone, stake some Osmo, Luna and JUNO in addition to ATOM for even more airdrops. There's an atom Airdrops channel you can join on telegram to stay up to date.
Atom is barely below to where it was new years day. The crash has not been equal among tokens. I'm an OSMOSIS user, and my balance is still higher than it was then. If I can share any advice from my first year, staking apy by actually using coins is a great way to offset dips and crashes. One of our tokens , HUAHUA, has over 400% apy. Many of our liquidity pools have 200% plus. Making new tokens, from your existing tokens, is how to win.
