Pools can’t implements changes. Miners can’t implement changes. They can build blocks (stratum v2 makes it so even pools can’t build the blocks). Nodes are what implement changes along with the help from pools and miners. Additionally, it’s much more decentralized than anything out there. Don’t try and knock a actual decentralized project because you lack basic understanding of what makes crypto… well crypto. What you are talking about are *cough* unregulated securities *cough* Should we keep going or are you going to keep embarrassing yourself by posting day 1 misconceptions and not even understanding crypto core principles like decentralization and immutability? Also, there ARE projects that are making “pure” forms of decentralization. There’s Sia, chia, Fil, arweave for data, there’s XMR and SCRT for privacy, and Akash and flux for servers and hosting. Those are ACTUAL projects that have actual use cases for blockchain using actual crypto core principles. Why don’t you tell me more about how you completely disregard core principles because you are getting a airdrop? I wish I was kidding when I say this, but bank stocks are more decentralized than arbitrum and matic. Banks and governments are taking note everywhere how the gullible crypto “investors” are so easily manipulated into just throwing out principles that have made crypto what it is. There are “pure” things being worked on or already out there, it’s a disservice to those people in those teams for a comment like that to be made by someone who doesn’t care about immutability or decentralization. This space is going to get so much unnecessary regulation due to people like yourself. Luckily, projects that care about the crypto principles laid out above, will not be affected.
Just my quick 2 cents as someone who has been using Keplr to stake ATOM and SCRT for a while now. I'm using Alter, Citadel.one (no relation to the financial firm Citadel) and Lavender.five for my SCRT stake. Also using Lavender.five for my ATOM stake. I wouldn't recommend making decisions with the goal of chasing airdrops, they really have not been worth it lately in my opinion. Stick to researching the actual validator to see what they vote on, who their team is, what their history is, etc. With that you will know your stake is somewhere you can trust. Id rather know I have a good team and reduce my risk of slashing, than hoping for an airdrop that may be worth nothing.
Look beyond just private transactions and think deeper about privacy - SCRT is a strong contender in this area for sexure, private operations, worth reading up on IMHO, ive been slowing building a bag for the last 12 months.
Oh man, you can have it write Smart Contracts for NFTs too. It can code, but it isn't up to date or connected to the internet. So you gotta be able to know if it's using outdated syntax etc. I had it write me a SCRT smart contract for NFTs implementing multiple traits etc much like Punks. But I needed it in Solidity language. It rattled it off real fast. But I totally agree. You can either let it take your job, or start using it to improve your job now.
Out of the box, IBC connects to other IBC ans simple as sending atom to a osmosis adress. Cosmos, osmosis, CRO, SCRT to name a few, are all their own thing and don't rely on others for security but can easily be sent to others. EVMOS is a EVM in dev. And I can't think of a matic counterpart at the moment. If I was making my own crypto it be here.
No problem, I'm not saying SCRT may not be profitable for you but it's good to know as much as possible
Agree SCRT is a gamble. I was full of myopia when we started rising and thought the bullrun was back on. The lessons we learn chasing pumps during an oncoming recession.
I love Cosmos but SCRT is a huge gamble (Full disclosure, I own none)
MOONS, CTSI, VET, OCEAN, SCRT. Also tied up a $1000 in USDT so I technically don't have the full $10k in the market right now but the dip still hurts.
Haha yea, most people go for the BUZZ more than practical solutions. ZK is buzzworthy, so numba go up. To be fair it has great potentially, especially for scaling. But it simply is not what everyone wants it to be. I do like dawn song, and the team. I use SCRT personally because there is already so much to use live on main net. The attack by the white hat group including Andrew Miller was a great step forward for the space. Amd to be fair, the response fro. The network and fix was done in conjunction with the white hat group. There is a reason the publishing of their attack was pubkished same day as the fix notes on SCRT. And to be fair, the exploit effected OASIS as much as SCRT, the group simply did not attack oasis due to them being on testnet rather than mainnet. Altho oasis has an extra mitigation with permissioned validators. Still I do see where you are coming from. I am really looking forward to seeing more from oasis and sapphire specifically.
Think their direction with OPL is a great direction to go especially with their relayer function. Besides that I thought that the SCRT breach by Andrew Miller et al was quite irresponsible from SCRT, how they had this known vulnerability, something which oasis had already prevented. Also I just like Dawn Song, seems like a person i trust my money with. People like that are hard to come by in this space. Nice to see someone else on this Subreddit have some interest in these privacy layers, it baffles me that most people still think that ZK is the solution to anything privacy related.
Anyone have any fav validators for SCRT ? On Keplr
ATOM and SCRT are two of my favorites. I get the inflation situation, but staking isn't only about the short term rate of return. Price appreciation, potential air drops, and participation in governance and DeFi also factor into the overall value too. I think op should mention those as well.
Lots of IBC (coins that can swap networks ATOM) with good returns.EVMOS 10% SCRT 9% UMEE 10% to name a few
VET was called VEN back then and was pre-split around $4-6 USD at the time? It was my biggest bag and DCA'd way down to something like .0035 per token. Sold a bit off(not during peak sadly), but did manage to make some profit. ENG(enigma) was another big one that's now known as SCRT(Secret)
Glad to see tornado cash breathing some life back into privacy. Monero, SCRT, and the like aren't for criminals. They're for people who want to keep their private financial information private. "Criminals might use it" is a strawman for rights every person had only a couple generations ago.
I like to mix, So I have low caps as well as high and medium caps too. A lot of projects I was following during the bull run totally crumbled with the bear, so I can easily differentiate from those which never stopped buidling despite the fact they also fell. >What low caps are you holding and do you genuinely have faith it'll survive through to the next bull? OCEAN, SCRT, VRA. I have strong faith in these for different reasons but centered around strong community and continued development. Maybe I should start farming moons too😶

You mean the SCRT that had it's NETWORK MASTER DECRYPTION KEY leaked? That's one hell of a secret you got there 🤡
I agree. However, I do like SCRT on cosmos and its ability to wrap other tokens in a SCRT smart contract. The problem is you need to initially get a bit of SCRT onto a wallet to use for gas first.
I'm watching mostly for confidential/privacy-related talks. So looking forward to the Dawn Song talk and just listened to the talk about privacy-related crypto projects (Zcash, Oasis, SCRT etc). Im sure there is some more interesting stuff that I don't know about.
The COSMOS Tendermint Consensus, IBC protocol, CosmWasm, and COSMOS ICS (interchain Security) and Mesh Security from OSMOSIS are all revolutionary to our space. [You can do so much with it. Think of a DEX like OSMOSIS communicating with SCRT to scramble swaps to prevent frontrunning](https://twitter.com/sunnya97/status/1629163478228389888)
Within the cosmos there's some legit projects and a whole Lotta duds...some promising stuff I think is Akash Network (AKT) its a blockchain AWS, interesting to me. Secret Network (SCRT)is a privacy based coin with potential... Osmosis (OSMO)is a first rate DEX imo and seems to have a strong foothold in the cosmos, they're active, building and expanding... Like I said, some big ideas happen over there, and many went pop! The good thing is staking ATOM is usually good for some airdrops while you hodl
Can i ask why you invested into SCRT, as im invested in ROSE. Is it due to you really liking atom?
Hey guys, where's the best place to store SCRT and JUNO? i've got pending deposits for both and dont know where to put them. thanks
How's this for a potential low MC portfolio: AZERO, COTI, SCRT, INJ, RUNE
They have yet to relaunch it. In October whitehats helped them fix a vulnerability which they then kicked exploitable validators INTEL SGX hardware and rotated the keys as a precaution. [SCRT 2.0](https://scrt.network/blog/secret-2-0-building-the-next-generation-of-web3-privacy/) will be a new wild FHE token using multiple forms to hardening. Their vision is badass because it will still leave SCRT as the hub to be used as a PAAS (privacy as a service like obscuring Dex transactions to prevent Front Running). They aim build a privacy alliance with chains like NYM etc. I imagine the final vision being an ecosystem like the COSMOS but for privacy tokens with SCRT being the hub. I have full faith in the entire dev team from Assaf Morami to Guy Zyskind in the 2.0 vision. I genuinely believe that, I'm not a SCRT Agent or w/e their incentivized social team is called.
Yesterday Stashh app on SCRT Network unveiled that you can now link and display multichain NFTS on their marketplace from ETH / MATIC / SOL. Interchain NFTs is a goal for them not only between all the COSMOS like Stargaze and Omniflix, but across every blockchain. They seem to be one small step closer now. [I did my part and am featuring all my dank Reddit artists](https://stashh.io/profile/Fyveonit)
It is great to see Ethereum getting more serious about privacy. It is a net positive, and I look forward to seeing how it grows. Especially considering the base layer privacy need. However, I think that a lot of people miss the fact that there are already real solutions to the privacy problem which are much further along. XMR is exceptional at transactional privacy. SCRT can offer "Privacy as a Service" crosschain, even to ETH. great for things like private DAO voting, RNG, and many other cases. I would be ecstatic to see the "for the tech" crowd further the tech currently available as well as what is "coming soon"
Like u/Elegant_Tale3929 said, go to Osmosis for sure, then if you don’t know, you need to click deposit ATOM, to do an IBC send from the Cosmos Hub network to Osmosis. It needs to be from your ATOM wallet, that is attached to the same seed phrase as your osmosis wallet, or else you won’t be able to use the deposit function because ATOM can request a send from a different seed phrase. Then you’ll sign for the deposit from then Cosmos Network to the Osmosis network, then you’ll have officially done a IBC transfer. If you’re wanting to get into pretty much any project in the Cosmos ecosystem outside of some of the JUNO or SCRT projects, you’ll be able to find them on Osmosis or Osmosis Frontier.
Wtf are SCRT and CKB looks like a shill article to me
TLDR; ETH USD Ethereum $1556.78 AVAX-USD Avalanche $17.66 SCRT-USD Secret $0.74 CKB-USD Nervos Network $0.0037 LINK-USD Chainlink $6.79 XRP-USD XRP $0.38 NANO-USD Nano $2.64

It is possible, some privacy coins hide your transactions to the public, but give you a key that you can share to third parties like the IRS if needed. I think that SCRT does that?
I like SCRT and JUNO. Low enough caps and have great development activity in the cosmos ecosystem
In the first place, why should I invest on shitcoins when they are good projects with feasible utility and potentials like APT, RAIL, SCRT, NEAR, etc. I won't dare to invest in shitcoins, because the chances of making profit is very slim, but with good projects with good fundamentals, you will definitely scale through and make good profit.
Oh nice, the new series of free daily claimable NFTs on STASHH (NFT marketplace on SCRT) Will feature one from Tyler Foust it looks like in the [promo image](https://stashh.io/collection/stashh-of-the-day-series-iii?tab=badges&show_templates=true)
Does that mean SCRT is going to have a good year?
Matic is under SCRT, it won't let me make it a title for some reason
It's there under SCRT, doesn't let me edit to make it a title
Yep, ATOM and SCRT are my two favorites there. Used to like Juno but there was so much drama and poor behavior with the governance voting that I sold it all and left. I didn't trust decisions were being made the right way.
SCRT need to keep on keepin on with that pump!
How did SCRT address the critical security vulnerability found late last year? Didn’t the attacker find the decryption key for the whole network lol
The big ones are OSMO (best DEX I've ever used), JUNO, EVMOS, SCRT, I'd say. ATOM's the safest bet but the others probably have more potential for growth (or losses). I think SCRT has a lot of potential, it's a privacy token but can be shown to regulators etc if necessary, but it's got some bumps to overcome as it matures.
It's a bit of a contrast to Kraken introducing 15-19% on DOT and 18-22% on ATOM though (and similarly high rates on KAVA, MINA, SCRT and others).
Domerium labs left at the end of summer to build their game on Juno. Smartstake, KIngnodes, and azul all have been down due to hardware issues since December after the Omega upgrade, and are leaving because they do not want to buy upgraded hardware. Of all of them only smartstake had anything to say about current events, Bottom line is, the article is BS and clickbait. Some validators left in a bear market, which is not uncommon. Over all the Community, Labs, and dapp teams are not worried about SCRT failing, we are already moving on restructuring the foundation (which is the marketing entity) To create a more focus and aligned version. SCRT will be stronger than ever fren.
SCRT is not even close to dead. a couple validators left in a bear market. all but one left long ago and had nothing to do with recent events. one several months ago to make a game in another chain, and the rest, including the recent one actually were not running since December due to hardware issues. They decided to move on rather than upgrade that hardware. Meanwhile there is a tone of good stuff built and building. As to trust, one person that does marketing (not dev), paid himself out of his vested tokens in a way that was not transparent and bring him into question. The dev team, the community, the dapps, the technology are all just fine. No hack, no exploit, and no chain failure of any kind. We are already moving on restructuring the Foundation, and overall the community is looking forward to continued execution on the bleeding edge of privacy innovation in web3
The SCRT foundation drama sort of highlights a problem with paying development teams in crypto. They always have to dump which never looks good from an optics standpoint. I remember a while back Juno holders were upset a lead dev was selling but they have bills to pay so what else can they do? Transparency is important in these arrangements but even when it's all out in the open it can make it look like the devs don't believe in the project. Or in the case of SCRT it's intentionally hidden and allegations of impropriety are leveled and that's even worse for the project.
No, the SEC went after Enigma accused of being a security, so the community (with much of the enigma team) made a community project called Secret that Enigma holders could straight swap their ENG for SCRT. The ability to swap was open for over a year and was plastered over the ENG reddit for that period. Binance and others participated in the swap, Bittrex did not for some reason. There were people left behind that were not paying attention in the bear market or held their ENG on an exchange that did not participate in the swap. Since then ENG users that returned in the bull market found the ENG project had been abandoned, or more accurately, shut down the SEC.
Maybe not SCRT tho 🙈
I dont see why SCRT would affect Atom, they are 2 completely separate chains
At least four major validators say they have halted services, including Smart Stake, Kingnodes, Azul Collection and Domerium Labs. The trend could spell trouble for Secret Network should others follow. Guy Zyskind, CEO of SCRT Labs, alleged that the Secret Foundation’s founder, Tor Bair, made an undisclosed sale of foundation funds and directed some of the proceeds to himself as a kind of dividend payment.
This is not good for the Cosmos ecosystem. Hopefully doesn't hurt my ATOM bag to bad, I only had about 50 SCRT so not to worried about taking that small loss
I've had an eventful couple days. There was moonsplace and the pump which was awesome but then a microcap I'd been in publicly announced they were gonna rug pull everyone and then shortly after that, SCRT (which I thankfully just got out of) turns our to have had a dev using the community fund as his personal piggy bank. Crypto is back baby!
Cheers to you as well. Love the whole Cosmos network, especially Atom, Osmond, and SCRT, obviously. 🤣
It's not for hiding from the law or taxes or anything like that. It's programmable privacy meant to prevent things like front running on a DEX, and to make sure that end users can secure their personal and private information when it comes to things like financial transactions, health info, and social media while also retaining the flexibility to meet regulations that target things like money laundering and identity theft. The key distinction is being programmable privacy where only the legally required info is exposed on the block chain and only those who need to see it can actually see it. The montero and tornado cash bull shit is for John McAfee wannabes, SCRT is for legitimate and legal privacy.
Yeah, you don't really understand the selling point of SCRT if you are comparing it to Tornado cash. You should do more research.
The thing that sucks here is that SCRT and their leadership survived the last bear market, and that experience isn't something money can buy if they are lost.
I missed the MONTHS long dip on SCRT and Juno
Staking/LPing in the cosmos has helped me stick it all out for the last year...there's plenty shitcoins in the cosmos, but some solid projects too... I'm mostly ATOM at this point... little JUNO, EVMOS, OSMO, KUJI, SCRT... my airdrops are staked or LPing. It's nice getting paid every day
I didn’t hear about it, I guess it was too… SCRT
Anyone up on the SCRT drama? A dev was maybe stealing from the community fund? The TG is a total shit show so it's hard to tell exactly what went down.
Hello, i am not able to make a post, maybe someone else could make one though. Its about SCRT. Seems like the founder has been up to some stuff: https://twitter.com/polkachu_intern/status/1619153656208846848?t=tXpbr7ce0RG5_-4J18mnVw&s=19 Seems like quite the bombshell after already having their network exposed a couple months ago: https://blockworks.co/news/secret-network-crypto-transactions-not-so-secret-after-all Also, could anyone that still holds scrt after these 2 things tell me why they are still holding? As i dont really see why one would hold this instead of other privacy projects.
Concordium, iota, Atom, eth if i have to pick a fourth then SCRT Digital identity L1s will explode. Scalability is needed with use of DAGs over blockchain for handling asset tx, iota will have its day.
If the view keys are control by the issuer, then I would not use it. View keys should be user owned and controlled. auditable privacy should be just that, not surveilled privacy. For example of view key technology that promotes user privacy, look at SCRT.
Love seeing all the cosmos discussion here. By far the easiest to navigate. Get ATOM, JUNO, SCRT, or OSMO from various exchanges, create a keplr wallet and then move there. Then explore all the projects built in the cosmos SDK
Yeah, the FED won't stop at trying to kill privacy protocols, and I'm sure people are getting to understand the need for privacy in space. I've got a bag of monero likewise RAIL and SCRT as alt.
Yea, pretty simple way to solve that - I usually calculate to have around 15-20% of my ATOM and DOT (and anything else with a lockup period like my CRO and SCRT) in liquid, immediately available assets for this exact reason. It's worked mostly very well for me in the past, and I've made more on swing trading that 15-20% compared to the return on staking! The rest just sits there locked up. Final tip, spread out your stake to different delegators whwn possible. It's good for the network, and means you can unlock smaller amounts if required, rather than the whole stack.
Naturally, most of my DCA is for ETH and BTC. My biggest form of DCA in alts is via staking rewards. I also add additional funds for DCA on CTSI as staking APR is around 12% and I need to reach my target faster. But for ATOM, SCRT, APR is above 20% so I'm really good with rewards.
Man, I’m gonna go hard into ROSE, FTM and SCRT. I’ve been DCAing for a while but I’m just gonna dump a ton in them and see what happens.
I feel like there might be a big privacy trend next bull run. With all these central bank/gov shitcoins coming out I think coins like XMR, ZEC, SCRT are going to get a lot of attention.
It's pretty complicated the last time I checked. I'm staking ADA, ATOM, SCRT, AVAX, SOL, MATIC and HBAR and I use defi all the time. Trying to decipher the Polkadot staking system was by far the hardest thing I've ever had to figure out in crypto. It was harder than knowing nothing about crypto and figuring out what a blockchain is and how wallets work. It was harder than the fist time I made a LP in defi or bridged tokens from one chain to another. I even wrote a javascript program to claim token rewards... there is nothing in crypto as complex as Polkadot staking. I ended up just going with Lido. It's liquid staking. You can go through the process of converting your Polkadot DOT into Lido Staked DOT (which is more steps than normal staking yet an easier process) or you can just buy Lido Staked DOT on a DEX and now you have it.
Hopefully it dips tomorrow or on monday 40% ATOM 20% each OSMO, SCRT and Huahua 😅
The more the merrier buddy. I am not saying anything against others that are doing things, i am saying SCRT is doing things. And very few are. It is great that more are doing things. However oasis is not live with private nfts. They are on testnet. At least as of a couple weeks ago when last i checked. I'm looking forward to mainnet and seeing what they accomplish. They have a different approach that will be pretty cool for sure. Never heard of geniish, I'll have to take a peak!
Why just call it SCRT NFTs? It is called confidential NFTs and is implemented by multiple crypto companies.
For the first time Huahua and SCRT 🙈
I feel that kinda as I hold some Snoos too, but also share that hype personally with COSMOS stuff. I actually first got into NFTs over there with SCRT Punks, and then caught the bug obviously. By all means the above post of mine is 30% shill, but I am really excited for and hold each and every one of the above...PLUS some like the Kevin Smith release on SCRT, and a few DAO based NFTs as well like Cataclops and LEGENDAO
I’m keeping tabs on SCRT, looking for a lower entry price.
Cosmos ecosystem all the way. Do you hold SCRT and planning to add any other privacy protocol?
Privacy chains in general, doesnt really matter to me which one. Smart contracts will need privacy to incorporate all the details needed to provide undercollaterized loans for example. Couple of examples are: Rose, Mina, Phala, SCRT.
Perhaps you may try to make some research on Citadel One, there is an auto compounding for some of your coins like SCRT and Atom
Right now I’m hodling Matic, SCRT and Freeclaim MAXX tokens via liquidity amplifier stage. These platforms are keep building despite the bear market.
Are there any of you investing in projects such as SCRT and MINA?
All respect to the REKT SOL fans with BONK really. We all know it's a shitcoin. I don't own any, but you bet your ass I have put a lil bit into my favorite ecosystem ATOMs degen gambles for the next bull. We have PUPPY with a 21M supply on HUAHUA, does nothing it'll likely rug my $20 and my absolute favorite BUTT on SCRT, which is less of a shitcoin outside of the original meme name as it's an aggregate DEX with limit orders and so much more. [But the tokenomics...](https://thecoinperspective.com/compare/buttcoin-2) The same devs fairdropped AMBERDAO (Also on SCRT) in like November with only an 8,888 supply. But today we celebrate the SOL degens that maybe are in a better place gains wise today..Maybe the shitcoin gods will bless my ecosystem soon. I still got El Tio as a hedge too...
SCRT, secret, is another privacy chain if you need to avoid tax or do something criminal. Because thats what we users are to the powers that be. Tax avoiders and criminals out to buy hitmen or circumvent sanctions and we cant have that now.
The market seems to agree since SCRT and ROSE are still outside of the top 100. There's no reason why this couldn't be implemented on top of ETH anyway, right? Is Aztec network using SGX? If not I am sure it is possible. I think anything that is "ETH but..." is ngmi. ETH but faster, ETH but more private, ETH but...it will probably be better off just being layer two on ETH (or AVAX or DOT or ADA or SOL or even BTC or something already in top 20 coins).
250,000 CRO 2,000 ATOM 10-15 ETH ??? BTC (I'll buy so much every paycheck and just keep going until it's time to sell again) Find a side hustle to buy ATOM network coins like SCRT, OSMOS, etc. Buy some top 100 coins sprinkled around with spare money. That's my plan.
A privacy coin like Monero is like Bitcoin, you are able to obscure who you are sending something to and whatnot, it does not support smart contracts though. So its just used for simple financial transactions. A privacy chain like Oasis (ROSE), Secret(SCRT), Phala, etc are like ethereum, they are used to obscure just part of a smart contract. Some of these can even be used on top of ethereum or another chain without you even knowing. What this is used for is a whole range of things starting with Digital ID, Loans, medical stuff etc. Say you want to get a loan which is already possible right now, but with a privacy chain the lender of said loan could for instance ask for your credit score to make sure ur somewhat reliable. The smart contract can execute the transaction, make sure you have the correct credit score without it showing on the ethereum ledger or the lender knowing what your exact score is. Same principle could be applied to lets say voting, a smart contract could be you voting for maybe the next president. Your vote will be obscured on the ledger, but can be counted by the smart contract. Im quite bad in giving actual examples though, im sure google could help you out with that. Hope i did clear up what a privacy chain is.
Good luck with it, dont hold SCRT myself, but I honestly see every privacy chain do very well in the coming few years.
I feel many coins in the Cosmos ecosystem are undervalued. The likes of JUNO, NGM, EVMOS, SCRT, etc. I’m particular about e-money (NGM), the E-Money service is driven by multiple currency-backed tokens, one for each supported fiat currency, which will represent a proportional value of the bank reserve. EEUR, ENOK, ECHF, etc. Additionally, E-Money uses the NGM (New Generation of Money) token for staking and rewards.
SOME of them are, STRIDE and SHADE Protocol (creator of STKD-SCRT) just announced they will team up and used STRIDE LSDs on Shade Swap
Guess i should've been more clear, meant privacy chains so not XMR and LTC, more stuff like SCRT yeah. But not SCRT lol. What about you?
So XMR and LTC and SCRT?
AMP - Decentralized Collateral Token. Right now, it can only be utilized as collateral for payments. The team’s goal is turn this into a collateral token for anything. I’m interested in seeing, if this can be utilized for DeFi Loans. For Instance, if I put BTC & ETH down as collateral for my DeFi Loan, can AMP be utilized as collateral or “insurance” that can prevent liquidation of my BTC & ETH if necessary.
