Tell me how Secret network is different than Oasis for total privacy?

I'm happy that cosmos and towns and chains connected to it are incentivizing long term holding by airdropping to each other. SCRT, OSMO, JUNO, and others had and are having drops for holders.

BNB for liquidity mining at Kava. Osmosis. ION. SCRT Maybe Juno, if it doesn’t go crazy high.

Yes, the **privacy** network Oasis announced a partnership with **Facenook** (which they carefully leaked rumors of months ago). Where will it be in a year though? Can you imagine any scenario where FB is concerned with marketing rather than privacy? Can you imagine any scenario where Oasis's VC and influencer team would lie about partnerships for marketing? Like they lied about being the "first chain with private smart contracts" despite the fact they have always been a full year behind Secret Network and have only recently released private SCs? Where do you think the $100M of liquidity that appeared overnight on the DEX they finally released came from? People waiting a year after Secret Network's DEX to use a privacy DEX? Or from VCs trying to buy their way up the charts? Oasis has also been rumored to have a contract with the US DoD for a long time, which they dramatically refuse to confirm or deny. Considering the VCs that own that token, I'd bet parts of my body that they started that rumor themselves. They are a perfect example of this. All of their marketing is meaningless jargon, that is eerily similar to Cardano. "Separate consensus layers" with "paratime layers" and "infinite scalability"- they are a Tendermint chain lol! Every tendermint chain is an infinitely scalable parachain. And Oasis isn't even connected to IBC lol... Time and time again we see founders use these tactics to gain momentum with retail speculators that don't research or actually use their network. Eventually things fall apart, because these projects don't have a large enough community of users and developers. Oasis is a perfect example. Secret Network has a clear first mover advantage. Anyone that wanted privacy has been using SN for a year. Oasis and SCRT are both Tendermint chains that use TEEs. Oasis doesn't have any advantages that users care about. Yet Oasis has a higher marketcap because of marketing! That isn't going to last. They won't sustain long term success on marketing. Oasis just had a big VC token lockup expire like two months ago. FB is not a user that actually needs their product. It's a pump and dump partnership for VCs that are unloading their bags.

Bro, 100%. I literally can't get into projects fast enough. I have a tuition payment coming and then taxes (UGH) so I'm forced to hold some cash for those incoming expenses but literally everything else is going to crypto, and specifically the Cosmos network. ATOM, OSMO, SCRT, and all the goddamn airdrops that happen in this network- it's unreal.

Hmm, well i can't remember everything i hold but best performing are OSMO, ROY(cryptoroyale), ATOM, SCRT, MATIC, ONE

I got into BTC in 2017, in September of that year. Held on till early 2021 when I took some profits. Also picked up and dropped a variety of other crypto along the way. Nowadays, apart from ETH & the BTC that I still hold, cosmos ecosystem coins like LUNA, ATOM, SCRT, CRO constitute the bulk of my altcoins.

Same here. BTC & ETH constitute the bulk of my bags. Long term into them. My alts include ATOM, CRO, SCRT, also long term into them.

I also have an ETH bag. I'm hoping that positive things happening with ETH will bring good things to my CRO, SCRT and ATOM.

Haha..it is. I'm hoping good things coming to ETH will pump my ATOM, SCRT and CRO bags.

They also launched their [NFT marketplace last month called STASHH APP](stashh.io/marketplace?sort=sold_date+desc). I gave zero fucks about jpegs and after participating in some mints on a few SCRT projects I'm addicted..Just like South Park man..

They don't pay me to shill their ecosystem, I just love the project that much. I'm gonna brag about it a bit. Look into [Button Group aka BUTTCOIN](https://thecoinperspective.com/compare/buttcoin-2) They are building baddass dapps of all kinds on [SCRT and NEAR.](https://btn.group/features) [SEFI](https://thecoinperspective.com/compare/secret-finance) the "official" afaik swap and defi app for the SCRT network. [Pretty Juicy APR too](https://app.secretswap.io/earn) [Sienna Network](https://thecoinperspective.com/compare/sienna) - pretty much the AAVE of SCRT Network with a DEX as well. Ontop of the Tarantino NFT dropping this week on SCRT, we have SHADE protocol (10m SUpply, alongside SILK a aggregate stable asset kinda like LUNA) dropping later, and Shinobi protocol (Native Wrapped BTC Bridge on SCRT) coming in Feb-ish...

Post is by: Fishinatoaster and the url/text [ ](https://goo.gl/GP6ppk)is: /r/CryptoCurrency/comments/s3x774/the_future_of_zec/ I've taken a marked interest in privacy crypto (XMR, SCRT, ZEC, etc) and have been trying to do a lot of research on what is next for privacy and what to hold. Recently I've found out that LTC is going to be implementing their optional MWEB privacy protocol soon which I'm very excited about, as LTC will then become the biggest coin with privacy features by market cap. Seeing this news however, I'm now realizing that ZEC might not have a future after this update goes live. After this update, ZEC and LTC seem like they will be indistinguishable from each other functionally speaking (aside from ZEC going POS which is years away), because they both offer optional anonymous transactions. But LTC is much more widely accepted than ZEC. Am I missing something or is ZEC going to be rendered obsolete when MWEB comes out? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/CryptoCurrency) if you have any questions or concerns.*

Secret Network (SCRT) is just getting started with the whole Miramax vs Tarantino debacle coming to a head in three days with the actual auctions. > you'd get better security for a lot less money by using Brave browser to bridge ETH assets to Secret Network. You're literally taking about a bridge here, one of the highest points of failure. I'm extremely familiar with SCRT which is why I'd never use it. I have been in the privacy space for years and don't touch anything with a bridge or a custom chain/L2 except on a throw away wallet to stress test. > And operating on L1 is less secure because it opens up several front end liabilities that most users don't know anything about. Believe it or not, some people are educated and know how to use other protocols. If only there was something like a server less API.... This is like telling someone never use TOR because you could maybe get caught with unencrypted meta data across nodes. Just because your average Joe can use Monero and feel it is good enough, doesn't mean there aren't better options for more experienced users who take their privacy more seriously and held to a different standard. > A time tested method will always be preferred unless there is a good reason to use something new I don't mind if you want to push your bags and say Monero is better. If you are fine using a custom chain and having the feds knock on your door and having to explain to them why you run a Monero node, that's fine. Some people are fine accepting that level of privacy. Monero is fine for your use cases, but some people want a higher level of privacy and are fine paying ETH fees to accomplish. I think this would constitute "a good reason to use something new". I think the greatest thing about crypto is if you're a smart person (you clearly are), you can easily test what random people on the internet tell you if you aren't too close minded to think technology stays stagnant and never evolves. You don't have to attack someone and call projects shitcoins because you've never heard of them. You can simply just go verify for yourself. Just my $.02

The largest argument against ATOM is that while it is the centerpiece for the Cosmos Network, there’s no fundamental contract that guarantees it will always be. The immediate note (especially for investors) is that BNB, LUNA and CRO are all built on the same open source tools; Tendermint, Cosmos SDK and IBC protocol. Every coin in the Cosmos Network is a sovereign blockchain, some with competing interests and overlapping goals. ATOM’s Gravity Dex might have been a tremendous boon for the Cosmos Hub, but it’s regularly overshadowed by the DeFi Lab on Osmosis. I personally love ATOM but right now it’s more of a respected IBC Legacy, it’s like the Cosmos Network’s Bitcoin- it’s where all the money is, for now. It doesn’t have a directed purpose like other Cosmos Network coins; e.g. SCRT has privacy goals, JUNO pushing forward with smart contracts, DVPN is operating VPN services, even HuaHua is popping off because it’s a memecoin. There’s a lot happening for ATOM this year and it’s going to need success on every development to stay in the forefront, but it’s vision of being a central hub zone in the Cosmos Network makes it valuable but also paints a great big target on its back.

You have a point here. BTC and ETH constitute the bulk of my bags. What's left of the remaining portion is spread out amongst a number of good altcoins including the likes of ATOM, SCRT, LUNA.

Nice mix you have here. Don't know much about CMDX though. I also have ATOM, some LUNA and SCRT.

I also have the big two. Add to that LUNA, SCRT, ATOM and several others.

Doing something similar to this with my staked SCRT. I use a portion of my rewards to get into cryptos that interest me.

I get what you mean with play to earn returns being too low, or buy in being too high. A typical example is Axie Infinity with its crazy high buy in. To answer your question though, I just re-invest a portion of what I earn from staking SCRT. In other words, my staked crypto is the side hustle.

LUNA, ALGO, ATOM, CRO, KDA, LTO, FLUX, & CKB. I was down 70% on ERG. Traded it out for ATOM, and now I’m down 33%. If I break even on ATOM, I’m probably going to trade back in for ERG. I have a price target for CRO. I might trade that out for SCRT down the line. I also want to stack up on LUNA.

I could look at the top 100 and pull 10 coins that I have never heard of and call them dead purely based on never hearing a thing about them and how low their market cap is: MINA, NEXO, RAVENCOIN, HOLO, GNOSIS, BORA, CEL, DCR, SCRT, WAVES.

Just started learning more about Cosmos ATOM a few weeks ago and DCA'ing. I feel late, but luckily I had been DCA'ing one of the tokens on the network already (SCRT) for a while. Overall it does seem like a really great opportunity to get involved here still with ATOM though.

I don't think I've got the skill or nerve to day trade crypto. I do see potential for ATOM and SCRT. I bought a small bag of each in the last couple of months and I was planning to buy more but it probably isn't sensible to buy them when they're 30-35% up in the last week, whilst the rest of the market is dropping, so I'll keep an eye on them to see if they drop like you say. I see what you mean about SOL (up 7,200% in a year), AVAX (1,815%), LUNA (9,865%) whilst ATOM only did 510% but I guess the price only goes up because something's popular and people want to buy it, so I don't think we can really say because ATOM wasn't popular last year, it's going to grow like the others did this year (although I obviously hope it does). I do see potential for ALGO too and may add to my small bag of that now, as it's down 17% in the last week.

I’d add SCRT there too personally

Mentions:#SCRT

You mean in terms of MC? SOL $43bn, Avax $22bn, Luna $25bn, with ATOM around $10bn. You think ATOM is likely to 2x or 4x to catch up, whilst the rest of the market is dropping? What about SCRT, which is currently just $1bn but up 14% in 24h, just like ATOM, although a bit less over 7 days, 32% vs 43%?

Man. I bought this demon at 6 bucks before IBC went live last year. Been rolling in it ever since. And I’m still confused how it’s not in the top 10 It’s literally doing when POLKADOT (which I also love) is planning to do over the next two years with parachains. Atom is ALREADY interconnected. I believe the only major bridge we need now is BTC? I’ve used the cosmo ecosystem (SCRT swap. Osmo. Juno. Etc) and it’s fast, Cheap and reliable. Wouldn’t be surprised to see it get to 140$
