I'm buying $10 BTC and $10 of the biggest losing coin every day for science. My theory is over the short term you'll probably net more gains by buying the biggest dips no matter the coin since they follow BTC mostly anyways Today I bought BAND and BTC. Only using binance USD pairs.
I've been saying this. Many good projects like FET, BAND, OCEAN, DIA, etc., have been pushed down the market why projects offering very little or nothing are valued more than them. I hope things change with time and we begin to appreciate utility.
Personally, I think that there's no better time to accumulate BTC, and alts too. Those that are really worth it ofc. For me, those will be DIA, LINK, PIVX, BAND, OCEAN, there are a couple more too. Let's see where the market takes us.
There's no right or wrong. I'm all up for the lowcaps, DIA, LINK, BAND, OCEAN, well, and ETH too tho. I honestly think there will make it out of the bear market, judging by the development in and around them. NFA tho.
I don't think so. Even if it's so and BTC goes to zero, I'll hold all the worthless BTCs in the space. LOL. Again, that's very unlikely going to happen. I'm also a big fan of LINK, DIA, and BAND as well. Quite excited about their developments. I think data oracles will dominate in the next bull rally. We already see the signs. Check the charts.
Oh no. I think you'd be better off on BAND. We did 60%+ homie. That was fantastic. I'm hoping to be part of LINK or DIA's pump as well. I think these projects, apart from working tirelessly during the bear market will see a huge pump when the bull rally starts.
My only true regret about my buys from the past couple of days is that I didn't risk it for the biscuit on BAND. It crossed my mind that I could swing it pretty easily based on the previous run up but I didn't care enough to figure out why it blasted off the first time. Can someone explain? I didn't do the right thing and look it up myself yesterday so continuing down this path of wrongness by asking a random in this sub instead of looking it up myself, seems like the logical next step.
Ironically, my most successful trade is sitting on there now. Have now made 400% on a leveraged short of BAND, however now can't take that out. But couldn't withdraw USD when I first saw the initial Reddit posts about FTX two days ago because I only bank deposited money in for that short 5 days ago. Managed to pull %50 of my initial out however so lesson learnt I guess ..
I double checked after seeing your comment. It’s actually an old story, BAND was used by LRC to display prices on their UI but LINK remained their main oracle for other things like staking. And interestingly enough, at the time BAND created quite a stir by tweeting a misleading tweet about their partnership with LRC…
That's true. For those who are busy with other things, limit orders are great ways to buy at specific prices, I agree. But if you are free like I am, you can buy directly. And also buy on dexes where there are not really many options for limit orders. I'm buying more of DAFI, ETH, and BAND this week at the best prices for sure. Let's see how things go.
Tbh I wouldn’t at all. LINK is integrated throughout the ethereum ecosystem and is being used across crypto as a defacto oracle solution. I don’t know enough about BAND, but I’m approaching it with a healthy dose of skepticism.
I only know of BAND as an alternative to LINK but it’s not better performance-wise. Binance has launched a new oracle which is only available for BSC and now I found out that Cardano also has one for its blockchain. I’m not surprised tbh.
WHAT! I currently hold UMA HBAR BAND CHZ LITE I kno nothing about NFT’s Where do I buy a Reddit nft?? On Reddit?? I did download opensea app at one point but didn’t understand it so I deleted it. I’ll download again. I was worried about NFT’s cause I was scared it was just a fad so I stayed away from it for a while. Looks like it’s time to add NFT’s to my education checklist.
Hype has a strong power, and with better or worse narrative it's all about it! It's extremely complex to value a crypto project as it's revenue streams tend to be hard to quantify let alone, and then the crypto volatility makes even harder. It's hard do understand how oracles like DIA or BAND are so low on the CMC... and even more scandalous, how is LINK, a so big and important protocol that collects and delivers DATA to most of the crypto space? Half of DeFi would stop working without it... and, LINK don't even make top 20...
It's crazy how a few people can control trillions of people. Could you imagine if we all banded together against the WEF???? They couldn't stop us. They need us to consume and thrive...that's how the rich stay rich. If we are all subject to oppressive measures what good would it do for them?? WE HAVE TO BAND TOGETHER.....
I agree and much is happening on the space with more oracles on the space such as LINK, DIA, BAND or more ways to bundle data as Ocean protocol does turning it into NFTs and making it monetizable! LFG WEB3!
Haha, the time where I got fooled by those stories and decided to "try my luck", which by the way ended up with me getting royally rekt is long over. Now, I'm sticking with solid FA projects that have real teams and utilities. Lately, my focus has been on Cross-chain liquidity aggregators like FLUID. Oracles like LINK, BAND, DIA. Layer 2s like MATIC, OP, and Data-related projects like OCEAN. Can't go wrong with these in my opinion.
I'd say, a well placed bet with $50k on the right tokens could definitely do it. If you can find the next Shiba Inu, well, you'll be laughing pretty. Otherwise, I'd stick to some oracle tokens, LINK, API3, and some BAND. These will likely take off during the next bull run when oracles start coming into front view as a way to secure the next wave of DeFi. There are other options though, and I haven't done much research into them, but DOT is another good contender.
Well, the merge could have added to the pump, but I think it was just time to see a rally in the general market, hence, we are green across board. I'm keeping a close eye on LINK, BAND, and DIA's performances. I think these can really go wild in the coming days to week(s).
In terms of prices I can tell I'm disappointed with almost every single asset I own with some little exceptions such as BTC and ETH which are still green. I understand when you mention GRT and LINK, and by one hand I even agree, I even wrote about it today mentioning I can't get why nor how the oracles have been performing so bad in terms of prices even with it's ecosystem consistently grows as DIA and BAND are solid examples, as makes sense and the ever growing crypto space needs reliable oracle DATA feeds. Meanwhile... prices stall! Anyway, I guess it's not fair to judge a project for it's recent price action.
I believe that any kind of non government issue crypto won't thrive, hence CBDC is the only chance for that in terms of full replacement. This said I strongly understand and believe in the power of blockchain as a technology with great projects like L1 acting as decentralized computers (ETH, DOT, SOL, ADA, etc), oracles crucial to connecting different environments (LINK, DIA, BAND, etc), all the NFT tech and what it would unlock in terms of real asset tokenization and even gaming... The use is definitely solid! In terms of replacement of fiat, I have my doubts!
Well, I'll keep my options open. I'm not going to be too rigid, nor will I be too loose. I'll just keep my eyes on the chart and observe for myself. I got a good bag of LINK, DIA, and BAND. I hope to take some profits on the pump. Hopefully, I can see some 2x gains from my lowest entry. And I'll be looking forward to buying even much lower if the opportunity comes.
Well. That's awesome. I guess mines just 100$ outta da $133 billion. But it's fine. Will keep DCAin on my top bags, LINK, DIA, BAND protocol too. I think these are good bets, long term. Let's wait for another 80% move upwards back to my original entry.
It's an interesting question, and it will have a lot to deal with the whole world outside of crypto... interest rates will be the no.1 factor to take into consideration and they are on the rise to battle inflation. International conflicts are also that might be seriously considered, so is crypto regulations and it's implications before we can think about a "simple" crypto cycle! Either way, I believe in the future of crypto and that it's just a cycle (shorter or longer), and happily I can spare a percentage of my salary to buy crypto every month so I'm getting strong proven projects like BTC, ETH, LINK, etc but also high risk, high reward projects with a solid use case such as oracles as previously mentioned LINK, but also DIA, BAND and API3!
Interesting. I was expecting much more from Coinbase since many disruptive technology ETFs bought millions of stocks. I have given up of COIN after seeing their operating margin compressing. Even though we are going through a bear market, COIN is well capitalized now with over $6B of cash but I'm not comfortable with the fact that its revenue depends 100% of crypto. Even though LINK is the leading decentralized oracle network provider for Web3, it's not the only one. We should also be looking for other oracles right now like BAND and mainly DIA that is being incorporated into all major ecosystems. The role of Oracles is essential for the future of Crypto.
I agree with you! It can be a product/service! Look at oracles like LINK, DIA, BAND, etc... they clearly offer some value and it's services (providing data) clearly is useful, needed and paid for. The currencies of this payment is what I'm not sure how to value because they are most likely paid on the oracle's currency
It's completely different from stocks. When you value a company you can try to forecast its free cash flow to equity and discount it by the cost of capital. You can work with metrics like P/E, PSR, EV/EBIT, or Price/Book. When it comes to crypto, you'll need to look much beyond because you don't have a free cash flow to discount. You may have a cost of capital, but not a free cash flow. In 2019, Chainlink (LINK) did a partnership with hedera (novel blockchain structure) and I decided to grab it after reading an article on Seeking Alpha. Then I've decided to move on to other oracles like BAND and mainly DIA that is constantly adding new sources of data. There was no free cash flow to discount. You have to trust the team, project, its utility and importance to crypto.
