Okay, $100 million isn't chump change, but it's a sign Berachain has to prove itself in a fiercely competitive market. The Cosmos connection gives them solid tech, but I'm waiting to see what kind of unique dApps actually get built on this chain. What catches my eye is the potential for BRC20 integration. Bringing Bitcoin's stability and trust to a DeFi-focused chain could be huge. If they play it right, projects like Ordinals (ORDI), Lumibit and Sats (SATS) could get a major boost.

For such a long time frame, diversification would be the most important point to focus. As I am a relatively cautious investor I'd stick heavily into large caps, meaning 50-60% into Bitcoin and Ethereum, no others. With such amounts I'd stake Ethereum on chain. Then I'd allocateabout 30% into large caps, let's say 20! Would have to look into it properly to make a selection but surely would include Solana, Avalanche, ChainLink, VeChain, Polkadot, Injective, etc. Would stake everything I could here too. It's important to keep in mind that from these coins, most likely in 10 years many maight go to zero, or close to it. Everyone should remember EOS, the most promising ETH killer 5-6 years go. Finally the remaining 10% or so, I'd go into small caps, with high risk and high moonshot potential, whith HUGE diversification, let's say 100 coins! I'd surely add up the coins that I've been looking into recently like URUS, BAND, DIA, ORDI, DAFI, AGIX, etc. Here 90% or more of the tokens should go to zero or close to it oin 10 years time, but the survivoes surely should have exploded and compensated the losses of all the others. I gues that for a set & forget strategy this would be the one, with just more thought needed when it comes to pick the whole token list, but the percentages would be something like this for sure.

Bitcoin ATH means profits are coming into alts. The alt rally is going to be massive. SATS, ORDI, MUBI, all going to pump. Interestingly, they are being fueled by the brc20 narrative. Even new entrants like Lumibit, OMNI layer, etc have also garnered community attention. This are about to go exponential.
Keep your eyes on brc20 tokens. ORDI, SATS already doing great. Maybe we'll have LBIT launch Q2, that's another one I'm looking out for. Massive bull ride tbh.
The truth is, you never can tell. The things you believe in the least sometimes makes the most gains. This has happened to me a lot of times. Unfortunately you're not early, I was there when it all popped off at the start of 2023 and prices have moved considerably since. I do still believe Ordinals will be huge during the next NFT wave, but at this point I'm obviously biased as this stuff has printed me stupid money. For some perspective, fees were very low back then so minting anything essentially only cost you \~0.50$, meaning Bitcoin Frogs, one of the OG collections is currently up 14 000x, with a peak of 40 000x. The ORDI BRC-20 was minted in batches of 1000, so it's up 140 000x, and even if you paid 10 bucks for fees, you would've turned those into $68k. I doubt there's much more of those opportunities in the space, however it is ever evolving with Runes "mining" being the latest trend. With all that being said though, I do believe many of the OG collections got plenty of room to grow and are probably the safest bet, although the space is inherently risky and everyone getting in now will eventually get dumped on. Those include: Bitcoin Frogs, NodeMonkes, OMB, Bitcoin Wizards, Bitcoin Rocks, Inscribed Pepes (Pseudo) Utility stuff: bitmap, RSIC Copies from other chains: Bitcoin Punks, Ordinal Punks, Bitcoin mfers, etc. Projects with cultural relevance due to pushing the space forward: Quantum Cats, Taproot Wizards (not listed anywhere yet). For BRC-20s it's kind of obvious, ORDI and SATS are the big ones, but there's plenty more, and some come with utlility. My gamble on meme small caps is JPEG and WZRD. Out of the collections above the most undervalued ones seem to be Bitcoin Wizards and Bitcoin mfers, but arguably more risky than the rest. There's of course an infinite amount of collections to choose from. If you're a complete noob, Ordinals are numbered, depending on the time of inscription, lower means earlier - those naturally trade at a premium, although there's a certain threshold at which people don't seem to care anymore whether the inscription number is low or not. Keep in mind that Ordinals have caused BTC network fees to spike massively in the past, it's best to buy while fees are low. Always check [the mempool](https://mempool.space/) and if you want to see the overall Ordinals trend on the network you can check [this Dune dashboard](https://dune.com/dataalways/ordinals). Wallets to use are Xverse, Unisat, Magic Eden, Leather, OKX - be careful downloading your extensions. glhf

The market cap of a single coin, the first BRC-20 token $ORDI is $1.47 billion market cap and was even listed on Binance, OKX and other exchanges. The second largest BRC-20 token is $SAT and has a market cap of $1.01 Billion and also listed on Binance. Merlin a BTC L2 protocol, released 1 week ago already has $1 billion in TVL. I can keep going down the list but you get the idea. I haven’t even touched the NFT ecosystem in Bitcoin. Go to any spaces chat for Ordinals or Ordinals Telegram, everyone is from SOL/ETH. This subreddit is dead, all the alpha and crypto stuff is happening on Twitter. I promise you. I am really shocked this is a surprise to some people.

#1 get off this sub, get into crypto twitter #2 if you only got $500-$1000 focus on airdrop farming, 2-3 wallets to get free tokens. #3 make more high beta plays but without leverage. Beta plays: secondary pump effect from majors like BTC, ETH, SOL eg. ORDI, STX, Pendle, Arb, Op, Jup, Rndr. I would even take a punt on established memecoins like bonk and wif. #4 study trends and narratives on crypto twitter like AI, Gaming, Depin, restaking etc. just pick a lane and do some deep research on it. You’ll get way more ROI than trying to spray and pray. Obviously this takes lots of time, if you’re looking to hodl then maybe just all in into a beta play

I have no issues with considering Bitcoin Stamps to be on-chain and permanent. What we're disagreeing on is 1) whether Witness data is considered on-chain and 2) whether consensus/execution is on-chain, which only applies to BRC-20 tokens Perhaps 1) is semantics. I suppose Witness data could be considered on-chain temporarily. Technically, you're probably right that this is still on-chain. Philosophically, I am reluctant to call data that is dropped from Bitcoin nodes and not understood by nodes to be "on-chain". Historical witness data is often downloaded for newer clients during Initial Block Download, but it's pruned afterwards. It really shouldn't even be downloaded because it's unnecessary data, especially if the Assumevalid flag is enabled for quickly bringing up a node. One of the main purposes of SegWit was to allow for prunable Witnesses so that they could reduce the fees for storing that data by 4x. And legacy clients ignore that data completely. My second point applies only to BRC-20 tokens like ORDI. The Transfer function is this: https://domo-2.gitbook.io/brc-20-experiment/#transfer-brc-20. Only inscriptions nodes will recognize and know what to do with them. So I consider data-only inscriptions to be more on-chain than BRC-20 inscriptions.
There's also bitcoin stamps, which are not in the witness portion of the chain, but you are really borderline spreading misinformation by saying that ordinals are not "on-chain". There's no security layer off-chain either, it's just a protocol to inscribe data on the blockchain and associate it with an output. What is an ORDI transfer function? An "Ordinal node" uses the same exact data as a bitcoin node set with txindex=1 like you would use for a block explorer or something, it just looks for specific types of transactions and indexes them.
That is incorrect. OP_PUSH is in Witness data, which is prunable. It is not durable, and it does not use Bitcoin as security. The security and execution layers are on inscriptions nodes. You need to read deeper into their documentation to actually understand it. I can successfully mint an ORDI token on Bitcoin, and every Bitcoin node would accept that transaction. But Ordinals nodes would validate it and realize that my mint has already exceeded the mint limit for ORDI. Thus, the security layer is off-chain and not on Bitcoin.

BRC-20s still have not fully be listed on exchanges. They require a different way to list. Only ORDI so far has been listed on Binance, but I except several more to be. Coinbase has not even listed ORDI yet.

There is no value in any Alt. When will you guys' figure this out? In the future blockchain tech will change the future of industries. None of that is true right now. There are no critical crypto applications at the moment. The industry is building. All Alts are just speculation. Stop reading white papers and debating what Alts do. They are all exactly the same. ETH, PEPE, BONK, Polygon, ORDI, DOT, ADA, etc. have no difference from an investing standpoint. Follow the Alt narrative each cycle and dump all Alts before the next crypto winter. Bought some $RATS , memecoin of BRC-20, third largest coin on BRC-20 ecosystem after ORDI and SATS. ORDI and SATS has hundred of millions in marketcap while RATS ten of millions. There was some FUD about BRC-20 today but already BRC-20 recovering.
I lifted that overview from their website, it is not my own. I encourage anyone interested to DYOR, obviously. Not shilling anything here. But I believe it is the first for BRC20/ERC20, as they say. Obviously a hot topic with ordinals gaining interest and ORDI exploding.

Imo it would be extremely naive and cost inefficient to ignore this space. It's already well over a billion and, call em what you like, they're tokens on the most secure and well known chain there ever is and will be (probably). Use cases and ancient technology aside, it's a brand new asset class in the crypto space ripe for the next run. I'm diving in deep and cannot imagine the entire BRC20 to be less than 50-100 billion next run. I feel I've missed the boat on ORDI but am going all in (or at least a bit) into MEME and others. I cannot see them do less than 50-100x at minimum. Can't wait to see how this post ages in the next few years.

ORDI and TRAC has the same number or coins (21 million like Bitcoin, all already in circulation) and were created exactly the same way. ORDI is a pure meme coin with no functionality. TRAC does more than ORDI and has the exact same supply and was created the same way. See their Twitter account, trac\_btc, for more info on what they are doing. It is not just a meme coin like ORDI and more importantly, it has not been listed on any exchange yet. ORDI was only $4 before it was listed on Binance.
I knew about $ORDI from being on Bitcoin Twitter. Casey Rodarmor is the Bitcoin dev who figured out how to do Ordinals. Domo (@domodata) is the Bitcoin OG who created $ORDI. Follow them and all the Bitcoin OGs.

I’m particularly bullish on ORDI, picked it up when Bitget listed it months ago and i’ve been eating big. I feel like this Brc20 would do the most after the Bitcoin halving.

You have seen the craze NFTs created on other chains in the previous years. Now Bitcoin gets NFTs and Binance just listed ORDI, ofc some people are going to get crazy over these just the same as they did on other chains, except it takes a much smaller amount of hype to start to clog the blocks and raise fees on Bitcoin than it took on other chains.
$ORDI was the first BRC-20. It has value the same way NFTs have value with the added benefit of being fairly minted, unlike ERC-20 meme coins where the founder gets 90%+ of the supply. In addition it resides on the only decentralized, most secure blockchain that will ever be created, Bitcoin. $ORDI is not comparable to a s\*itcoin on ETH. ETH itself is a s\*itcoin.

$ORDI is good but wait until after it is listed and has its initial sell off. Keep in mind that $ORDI on exchanges are not really $ORDI. Due to the way BRC-20 works, exchanges have not figured out how to list them in a order book natively. The real holders set the market on unisat.

Crypto in general already has a high barrier to entry; Ordinals stack on top of this and make it a difficult concept to adopt right off the rip. A good start is looking at big players like Magic Eden adopting Bitcoin Ordinals, and large exchanges like KuCoin, OKX, [Crypto.com](https://Crypto.com), etc. listing brc-20 tokens like $ORDI. The Ordinal ecosystem is still in its infancy (and Dogecoin's is still six months or so behind Bitcoin's - we're that early), so yeah a lot of the tools still need to be developed, especially with the end user in mind. Still, I believe the use cases here are so impressive that it will elicit enough growth and development to eventually reach the broader crypto audience. Being able to store data directly on-chain? I think that's absolutely wonderful. No linking to external hosting platforms and hoping your image stays put. In other regards, some people just really love Bitcoin and Dogecoin, and will use those protocols just due to the blockchain they're on. Will these ever usurp Ethereum's dominance over the space? Eh, probably not. ETH has such a large userbase, developer base, and head start that "catching up" at this point would take a while to do (if possible at all), let alone who knows if you can somewhat even match the functionalities Ethereum grants to its tokens (such as smart contracts, etc.). That being said, there are some incredible technologies that keep springing up out of nowhere on Ordinals, such as Recursion, that I personally never would have seen coming. Technology has a funny way of really catching people off-guard, and even for me, seeing someone host and play all of DOOM on a single satoshi was a really cool experience. Plus, owning a satoshi that was literally spent on one of those two infamous Laszlo pizzas is pretty cool, even if "useless". I mean, people collect stamps and coins - who's to think this won't happen on these Ordinal systems as well. I definitely wouldn't count them out at least!

Eventually we hope to see much wider adoption, not only for Dogecoin Ordinals, but even for Ordinals in general. We've already seen some big players like Magic Eden move over and adopt their marketplace to Bitcoin Ordinals already. As demand and users grow, so too will these larger establishments, who will see the opportunity and want to get in on a piece of the trading action. We've even seen some of the bigger brc-20 tokens get added to some major exchanges, such as $ORDI on KuCoin, Gate, and OKX. I suspect this is most likely why $DOGI (Dogecoin Ordinals' equivalent to $ORDI) has seen so much more volume than any other token or asset on Doginals to date.

I actually bought the ORDI token. The hype around ordinals has died down, and I don't think it will return to people's sight that soon.
BRC-20 token hype fizzled fast. ORDI down 71%, Pepe down 96%. Daily transaction volume drop says it all. May FOMO congested Bitcoin network, leading to losses. Will they regain hype in the next bull run? Time will tell.

The largest one that I know of is called Ordinals ($ORDI). It's currently $5.23 per coin and has a market cap of $109 million. I'm sure there's a bunch of tiny ones popping up as we speak.
