I started with 1K in 2016. Reached 80K in 2017 and cashed out 40K. Reached 1.2M in 2020 and cashed out 500K. I never really invested in 'cool' coins. I stayed with the bigger ones (Eth, BTC). The highest returns were from YGG (where I invested a portion during seed round) and AVAX where I got lucky to buy it at public round price. I also lost a lot in failed private sales.

I've been playing web3 games for 2 years now, and have been trying to make my way higher up the food chain with YGG ( Yield Guild Games). I've participated in 2 gaming token airdrops over the past couple of months, and hoping to get involved in at least 2 more. It's been tough work, since these games are still in early development and I'm trying to keep my portfolio diversified (so I do a LOT of grinding in my spare time), but this year all of my work and DCAing should pay off.

Once a coin is over 120% from its Low I sell it and go invest in another coin that is <40% from its low. And for that case. I'm on Avax, YGG, JUV, ALGO, APE, MBOX, DOGE, OMG, COTI, DREP I don't chase shadows. I know when to walk OUT. And my plan has always worked. Because atmost 2 months this coin grown with over 90%. And that's good business for me. And if they fall, they hardly fall with more than 30%. I have a plan. And the market makers don't care if Solana has a project or anything. Sometimes it's like they move on their own. Maybe not! But all in all. My plan has always worked out for me.

$YGG - it's the first web3 gaming alliance, which arose from the Phillipines and was originally founded for renting Axies in Axie Infinity - the genesis of the scholarship system. They've expanded to a wide number of games, several of which are offering active scholarships. If you believe in web3 gaming and the metaverse, this is a great pick. Full disclosure - I own $YGG. But I've only ever bought a small number. They have a Guild Advancement Program (GAP) that rewards players with $YGG based on their contribution to the ecosystem, which is represented as "quests." So, by empowering the guild, you become part owner. Put simply, #WeAreYGG

My favourites are in no particular order: YGG (\~ #300), HERA (\~ #850), RVST (\~ #650), SWEAT (\~ #350), EFI (\~ #850), VEIL, LMR (Lumerin) A bit larger marketcap, but GALA and AUDIO look good, too. Research some, if you like :)

When it comes to convenience in the market, I prefer holding which I've done on BTC, XRP, YGG and RIDE. They are more for the long term. However, when it comes to trading, I've used a few tools to make informed decisions like Lunarcrush, Tokenmetrics as well as RoyalQ bot that blew my account. Trading has not really been my thing probably because I'm not patient enough with that.

I'm a bit indifferent on the price now, though I also hold BTC, ETH and XRP alongside YGG and am bullish on RIDE which has been building to change the narrative of in-car entertainment all through the bear season. I believe Alts that are building in the bear market will give more Xs in the next bull run.

I joined YGG (Yield Guild Games) and have made hundreds of dollars doing their achievements (Guild Advancement Program, or GAP). I don't think the point is to sell right now - it's to fill bags for the upcoming bull. I think crypto gaming is gonna be big - it's the foundation of the metaverse. Who else is going to design digital spaces besides video game devs? If you're interested in other places to earn, the most successful for me right now is League of Kingdoms, Pixels, and Genopets. Genopets requires a land purchase, and the other two require serious account development. Most games are still too deep in development for too many earning opportunities.

tldr; This week, the market is preparing for over $120 million worth of token unlocks. Avalanche (AVAX) is set to unlock 9.54 million tokens, potentially adding a selling pressure of $100 million. Other significant token unlocks include Space ID (ID), Yield Guild Games (YGG), and Lido DAO (LDO). The last token unlock for AVAX in May caused a 30% drop in price, but it quickly bounced back. The impact of these token unlocks on the market remains to be seen. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR. *tldr: Liquid staking protocol Lido (LDO), the Avalanche Blockchain native token (AVAX), and the token behind the Yield Guild Games DAO (YGG) are all scheduled to implement token unlocks this week, increasing the supply of the tokens available in the market.* *Token unlocks are staggered releases of coins previously frozen to prevent early investors or project team members from liquidating their holdings in large numbers.*

I would say, crypto is not a quick-fix scheme. Like every other investment, we want to make good profits but it mostly takes some time. I'll say you give it the next bull run and see what my XRP, LTC, RIDE and YGG bags will look like. DCAing in the dip had become a thing for those of us that are determined to make it big in this market, but it's just a matter of time.

tldr; An Ethereum gaming altcoin called Yield Guild Games (YGG) experienced a significant price increase of 317% in just one week before retracing. This surge was followed by a series of whale transactions, with large players like Wintermute, Youbi Capital, and Sfermion moving millions of YGG tokens to crypto exchanges. The influx of tokens onto the market suggests that these big players may be preparing to sell their holdings. YGG allows users to stake tokens, invest in virtual NFTs, earn altcoins, and participate in governance. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. >I'm here trying to defend web3 gaming, maybe dispel some myths and let people know that there's a huge community forming around i all. I'm with YGG (Yield Guild Games), which is the original web3 gaming guild, founded initially by Axie managers lending to those who couldn't afford any Axies, let alone the 3 required to make a team. Awesome, let's take the misery of the modern workplace and recreate it in our games, now coming pre-packaged with the entire corporate structure. Don't forget to meet today's quota!! Never mind that this has all of the negatives of a real job, only with no job contract that legally defines your rights vs the employer. "But they can regulate it!" you might argue, but if that does indeed happen whatever "web3 gaming" scene exists will die off because a major appeal for money-makers is the lack of regulation on the space (just like regulations will kill the appeal of crypto to many people). >I like to think of us as liquidity providers, who help produce assets that meet market demand, make expensive web3 games more accessible, and provide multiple means of web3 gaming income. Let me ask you: what is the actual value being provided here? All web3 games are either pegged to volatile crypto currencies and/or run as ponzi schemes, where the only way to generate funds is to bring in more users. This has played out time and time again in the space; the foundation is utterly rotten because it's not built on providing value, it's built on extracting wealth from one group and shifting it to another. And if you claim the value is having fun--well, non-web3 games already do that much better, absolutely no reason to attach clumsy blockchain tech and volatile crypto currencies for that purpose.

Elden ring won't go away. Breath of the wild won't go away. This is a new genre of games, and no one wants to force it down your throat. Not all games make sense with a blockchain use case. Web3 gaming is such an alien concept it can really only be placed in its own category. And my apologies for not giving you any examples, I wasn't trying to soft shill. My original web3 gaming thesis originated with Splinterlands, an nft trading card game. This made so much sense to me, being able to buy and sell cards directly in a digital market with no packaging required. It also gives the means to rent cards, dramatically reducing the barrier to entry. They have some play-to-earn aspects that I find rather confusing, but that's more so a recent development. I haven't paid a lot of attention to them recently. Civitas is a game I'm following quite closely. It's being developed by industry veterans from Paradox and CCP games. Paradox is known for making and publishing amazing 4x games, while CCP developed Eve: Online. If anyone is gonna get a dynamic video game economy right, it's those guys. And the game looks awesome, too; it's civilization style, but everyone is a citizen of a city and works together to improve the city's technology, armies, etc. And the artwork is quite pretty and unique. There's some cool ARPGs being developed right now, too. I'm mostly looking at Big Time, Embersword, and Guild of Guardians. The first two only use NFTs for skins and for lands, which helps fuel skin markets, etc. I'm also rather fond of Genopets. Even though it's on the Solana chain, which sucks... I love my little geno-lad. You level them up through steps, or you can use steps to mint KI tokens; but only if you own land. You need to own land to create both KI and items, which I think makes sense: in order to benefit from the economy you need to put some money down. Otherwise, it's entirely free-to-play. From there, people can buy different items on the market, though they're just augments that change what your pet looks like. Eventually they'll have combat, minigame, missions, etc. But the thing is, these games are all either deep in development or in some stage of pre-alpha/alpha/beta. So it's difficult to evaluate them on their gameplay, graphics, etc. when so much is still up in the air. And no, I'm not trying to herald anything. YGG launched the concept of the web3 gaming guild, and intend to build a "future of work." I like to think of us as liquidity providers, who help produce assets that meet market demand, make expensive web3 games more accessible, and provide multiple means of web3 gaming income. Again: YOU DO NOT NEED TO TREAT IT LIKE A JOB. It's an entirely new genre of games, and there's multiple game loops to satisfy every kind of player. I hope this all helped inform someone about web3 games. Maybe even you, too. But since you seem to think my defense of web3 games is too preachy, I'll stop here. I've gotten pretty tired of replying to everyone, anyways. Safe travels.

Another thing I'd like to mention about the pay-to-win dynamic, too, is the advent of the gaming guild. If you REALLY want to play a game, and only get beaten into the ground by whales, then you can join an organization that will lend you assets in exchange for profit-sharing of any premium currencies you accrue. People who do this are called "scholars," and Yield Guild Games (YGG) is a great example of this. They helped people in the Philippines to actually make a living on Axie Infinity.

I agree Gala is a good shout, GODS probably the most 'playable' blockchain game out there SAND is also a good option (its metaverse but some see it as a 'game' as well, so just throwing it here for good measure). Sounds like you want to gamble. I’d put half into MATIC because I think it’s the most likely to rise and probably rise more than BTC or ETH. The other 50% would go into a moonshot. ILV, YGG, AGLD or VRA would be my picks (I have tiny positions in each of these but am not trying to shill them, I just think they’re most likely to explode over the next 6-24 months). The MATIC is a 2x+ hedge in case the moonshot dies, although I didn’t predict MATIC’s recent price movement so it might not even 2x again from here in your timeframe. For transparency from the shill point of view, MATIC is one of my biggest shares of my portfolio.

Gold farmers are not a bad thing in web3 gaming. They provide liquidity for the game's economy. I'm with YGG and that's basically their goal - to provide liquidity, and create a next-gen video game workforce. As for the bots and cheaters - for sure they're bad. Bots in particular are a huge problem from what I've seen in some of the fledgling blockchain games I'm playing/keeping my eye on. Cheaters do get punished when they're caught, though. And it's far more painful when money's on the line. In web3, sending royalties to the game creators is absolutely enforceable. In fact, because of this mechanism, they are incentivized to create and sustain a robust economy so that their revenue stream continues uninterrupted. The various "advantages" offered through buying land and other nfts is entirely dependent on the game's mechanics. For example, in The Sandbox, owning land will let you create your own games/experiences on it that others can play, too (you can even charge admission). In a game I'm paying attention to, called Civitas, owning land lets you live in a city, contribute to its development, vote, etc. If you don't want to pay, their free-to-play option is to play as a nomad, where you can earn tokens and eventually save up to buy land (I should mention that they have devs from Eve: Online on their staff). Meanwhile, in Genopets, owning land allows you to earn tokens and craft items. And yes, while many games have their own economies, very few have ones where you can cash out, or are even interoperable with other games. Game development is going to give us the foundation of the metaverse - there is TONS of innovation going on as we speak.

There's a couple of 4x games that I'm paying loose attention to as they develop, specifically Blocklords and Civitas. I'm part of YGG (Yield Guild Games) as well, and these games are partnered with the guild. I'm actively playing League of Kingdoms and GooeysP2E. League of Kingdoms does not inspire a lot of confidence in me, they have a huge bot problem that causes major lag. Plus they come off as cash-grabby at times, since it's modeled after those crappy phone games where you collect resources and everything you build/upgrade is on a timer, which can be sped up using their premium currency. But if they can get through their current problems while maintaining their player base, I think they have what it takes to make it to the other side of this bear market. I am super confident about GooeysP2E, though. They just released their early access, and the game is so far very unrefined. But they built some sturdy foundations, and the lead dev is working hard to crush bugs and put out their first expansion. He's also a core dev that worked on Dogecoin back in the day, and always has a lot to say about blockchain games. I've also tried Mines of Darnia, which is trash. Oh, and I'm also keeping my eye on Mist - I traded their coin a bit last year and got a 10-bagger out of it. AND I recently signed up for Lost Relics, but have not been given access yet.

They conducted research on Dogami, a Tezos blockchain, for example. NFT gaming will inevitably take off, and NFT games will make money by charging for entry, but NFT Guilds such as YGG, Balthazar, Metagoons, and others are free to join and ofc it's a shared profit, unless you play it alone with your own money, in which case the profit will be entirely yours. I prefer Yield Guild Games (YGG) and Merit Circle (MC): they have a different business model than MVI as they aim for the players. YGG is a guild that brings players together to earn via NFT games. We are the settlers of the Metaverse. Merit circle is creating a DAO that develops opportunities to earn through play for people who want to help build the metaverse

Axie Infinity has a rapid growth during the past years. That's why many people or guilds are offering a scholarship like YGG and Balthazar. So they can be able to play without investing money.

Learned about YGG from Coin Bureau and I gotta say, sounds really good. YGG is a DAO that invests in crypto gaming assets. So this will give you a wide exposure to crypto gaming and a multitude of gaming assets (NFTs) without just picking up one project. Seems like a good 'I think crypto gaming will be big but not sure which one' type of pick.
