I won't say it's a store of value because I'm not a "HEX maximalist" lol. I just don't understand the hate towards a random project. Like, when I don't like what DODO offers me as an investor, I just don't buy it. Yes, the OA wallet with 80% is indeed weird. Don't have anything to say about it. If people who decided to hold HEX turn out to be wrong, they will face the consequences - same as with any speculative investment.

It's 2 years this week since I first jumped into crypto. Was just checking through my portfolio and notes to see some stats. At either extreme the furthest I've been is -52% and +94%. Biggest losses - thought I could beat the bots on new token launches in 2021. DODO and ALICE. Lost about $130 before moving the rest to BTC Biggest single profit - LUNA around the time of the crash and bounce. 72x. Put in $10.80, pulled out $780. I sold some FTM last month so I'm still an idiot at times. Generally, if there's one thing I'd wish I'd done better it would be to take MORE profits.

moonbois who bought the 200 dollar top thinking its the "next ETH", still rationalizing that SOL is crypto that will be around in 2025. How many times has been stopped or hacked, I count 11 times in 16 months. Dr. Gavin Woods called SOL centralized garbage in 2021, not sure when people are going to learn that SOL is going the way of the DODO. Unreliable rushed tech more concerned with TPS than stability. Why would anyone want to have their money in this?

Yeah fuck that DODO coin With current prices now its more than -90%. I only bought it because of the binance listing thinking it will go up after listing but nope. Only down from 10$ to 0.8$ today. Never came close to the ATH again

Bought $DODO for $8 upon Binance listing because I found the market buy option too late, and sold for $1,7 Lesson: learn about the exchange you're using before buying something.
Okay so we know that "going wild" just means pumping very fast and sudden. Examples would be coins that suddenly shoot up 2 or 3x within hours - or maybe even minutes. In these instances, I expect a pull-back. Very recent examples were AAVE, 1INCH and DODO. For profit taking I tend to play it by ear, mixed with technical analysis - and it depends on how far I think it will dip. Though I'll usually rebuy the alt at the cheaper price so that it;s still a good-size holding, any remaining profit is usually for adding to more stable coins. Alternatively, if I feel there could be a potential rebound, I might not take profits at all. Like I say, I play it by ear. There's plenty of YouTube videos giving advice on profit-taking. I know many say to take back your initial investment, but for me that's not really my biggest priority (which is instead growth of my portfolio).

Just use profits to re-adjust my portfolio (using profits from one coin to buy more of another). Where there've been sudden explosive moons, I've more aggressive with the profit taking (DODO, 1INCH, AAVE). I'm sure at some point I'll make more use of converting to fiat - but currently I'm not really needing it at all and so have no temptations to convert to cash.

So, earlier this year I took notice of every coin introduced to Binance seemed to skyrocket hundreds or thousands of % So, there I prepared to buy some DODO, without researching it, the second they listed it. But I got confused by the interface, and instead of buying near the start price (1-2$ I don't remember) I bought near the top (around 8$) and refused to sell it when it settled around 7$ within the next few days. I could have cut my losses there. Instead, I held onto it, but sold it not too long ago to buy into ONE. I doubt I will get my losses back but so far it's been a profit. ALWAYS do your research, peepos.

Weirdly I have no worries with ADA. Really, cant say I "lose interest" in anything. Everything has performed in turns (not you, DODO, but thats only 20€ worth). Im thinking about taking profits from DOT around ATH, but also feel theres more to it (and staking) that probably puts me off. A few coins im thinking about buying more while they are still down, as I see their potential way higher, but I guess thatd be a shill to mention 😁
