SOL is the native currency for the solana blockchain, therefore it is a coin. Tokens are the currencies that are supported by the blockchain (rather than power it), like RAY, BONK, ATLAS, etc. ETH is a coin for instance, but LINK is a token.

I agree Gala is a good shout, GODS probably the most 'playable' blockchain game out there SAND is also a good option (its metaverse but some see it as a 'game' as well, so just throwing it here for good measure). I think the rest are low market cap gambles. PYR, UOS, ATLAS (Star Atlas), YGG were prominent (in the gaming crypto space at least) at one point of time.

Ah, Star Atlas? I bailed on that project last week after holding for months. Even had some ATLAS and POLIS in some liquidity pools anticipating the release. I got impatient. On the project, not the coin prices since everything is down. Jumped off the Discord and everything else. Moved everything over to SoLend in the USDC and STEPN pools. Right or wrong move? Who knows.

That’s one of the reason I bought it. Sometimes I’m having doubts too. Mainly hodling 3 coins now ADA, SOL, and ATLAS. Only SOL is appreciating fast. ADA and ATLAS both need to break moving averages acting like strong resistance. Their time will come too hopefully 😃
there is no one fits all strategy, it all depends on what you're trading, what market you're playing and on whether your convictions check out as time passes. # Shitcoins When you hold some coin just because it's market cap is low and plan to sell after a 2-3x. I put money I'm willing to lose, set a tp and forget about it until it pumps. If it pumps then more often than not I lower my tp when the wider market (btc/eth) starts showing signs of weakness, lower tp or straight out market sell. (DOGE, SHIBA, SHIT index) # Conviction Plays With conviction coins I hold & DCA, these are coins whose fundamentals I like. Fundamentals doesn't necessarily mean tech though, it has to do more with the wider market. For example I held sushi through the entire dump in September-October 2020 and kept buying because I knew Alameda was in and "food coin" narrative was emerging. In these cases I never sell until I see a major bull cycle, which means narrative builds up and penetrates mainstream. (SUSHI, FTT, SOL) # Fundamental Plays These are coins whose tech I like, nobody talks about, I buy and follow updates closely to see how team does. Sounds like a calculated bet but since 2017 fundamental plays go wrong more often than not because I think we tend to misread fundamentals when we are invested in a coin. (BCH, EOS, BSV, ATLAS, EMB) I've made most money with shitcoins and conviction plays, fundamentals have often been painfully long holds. Often though you realize a coin you considered a fundamental play is a shitcoin so you start treating it as such. For me this was BCH/BSV, got all caught up in the big block narrative then switched to shitcoin mode and exited both in shitcoin mode (sell the first pump). Same for EMB & ATLAS. I consider them all shitcoins now. If I look back I'd say conviction plays have been the best bets for me. Understandable if you think that Conviction plays depend a lot on carefully listening to the market, capturing a signal and acting on it.
I'm not selling any of my positions yet. Instead, I'm buying the dip. Some of the coins I'm adding are.. PORT, UFO, ATLAS, ONE, OIN. OIN is veeeery undervalued right now, they recently partnered with Near Protocol and achieving some great things in the defi space.

The best for me are PYR, ATLAS, DREEM, WILD, RMRK and NTVRK. All super solid projects. DREEM is coming this Q1 but the beta is already live so you can take a peek at it and test the platform.
OMI - at some point the token (which is now ERC20) will land on a major exchange. They have huge licenses in place (Disney, DC, Universal) so all they need now is a big marketing push. The token itself doesn't have much utility, but it is burned when assets are sold and there are plans to add utility. I think the collectibles and the token will do well. ATLAS - The in game currency for Star Atlas. Once the game launches it will inevitably pump. It could be short lived so I'll most likely cash out at least some shortly after launch.

The big boom in 2022 is in Defi, Metaverse, and layer2. Several low caps projects are showing their weight in the crypto space. ALGO, ATLAS, and NII all have good fundamentals and innovations behind them.

Great thread calling for caution! No need to panic, no need to FOMO! Have a plan and stick to it! That's the best advice I can give to anyone! Crypto grows more when people use their brains instead of their emotions! My plan is mainly through real diversification, like: 50% of assets on super large caps, and those are Bitcoin and Ethereum. Since the assets are idle, and the goal is long term, I would have them yielding the maximum we can in one of several platforms like crypto.com yield.app celcius nexo, etc. This is the core and long term core of the portfolio 30% of assets in stablecoins powered by DeFi on one of the protocols mentioned above. This is the pot of money where profit taking would go, and where the money will come to buy the dips! 10% of your assets should be on large cap projects like Polkadot, Cosmos, Cardano, BNB, ATOM, etc and as possible locked in long term staking contracts to get the maximum returns on those idle assets! 10% are aimed at early projects (if you have the time and the will, it could be a great fun activity & extremely rewarding) I like serious long term projects with good prospects! Ones like Unique Network, RMRK, URUS, ATLAS and Ocean protocol are a few of the projects I'm investigating/invested
I have my focus on those gaming tokens at the moment and I'm aiming to get into some of them during their IDO. ATLAS is still undervalued at the moment, when the game is finally up and running we will see a parabolic run in this project. Yes, of course! Bought UFO, ATLAS, PORT & OIN. Soon I'll add DREEM and GGM once they go on sale, as well. BTW, defi will save the world and set us free from greedy banks and corporations.. Speaking about the hype and bubble, Metaverse seems to be the place to go. ATLAS, MANA, SAND, and GODS, as well as the upcoming DREEM and GGM, still have plenty to offer.
My greatest regret is that I slept on NFT gaming tokens last year. I discovered them late, and as my friend used to say, "we are still early"; thus, I have little regret because I have already identified upcoming ones this Q1, such as GGM, hopefully, it becomes a bang like SAND and ATLAS.

The hype around the gaming sector and metaverse are not poised to die down any time soon. MANA and [ATLAS](https://staratlas.com/) will pump money next year you should check them out if you don't already know about them. [Legends of Elumia](https://www.elumia.io/) and [Mecha Morphing](https://www.mechamorphing.com/) are also on the list of p2e games that I look to consider. They are games of real quality that I plan to invest in once their IDO takes place.
BLOK is on MATIC, ATLAS and SLIM are on SOL. You shouldn't need to enter the token address for any of them. BLOK is listed on Quickswap and ATLAS/SLIM on Raydium.
BLOK and ATLAS certainly make a great investment for 2022. I believe next year will be amazing for metaverse and gameFi. GGM is high up on my radar. Still relatively unknown but has huge potential and an interesting gameplay. Animoca brands is behind this P2E project; that's a global leader in blockchain gaming and the market cap is under 500k. ATLAS is a crypto version of Star Citizen, when it releases its tanking. Way too big game scope, very unlikely that it’s executed properly. Much better crypto games out there IMO
Fully envisioned Star Atlas is probably 5 years away from being ready. But saying they have nothing is incorrect, there is a functioning GameFi game to earn Atlas tokens using ship assets right now. Obviously GameFi is just a fancy way of wrapping a game around DeFi yield farming, but nevertheless there is something going on. I don’t actually own any SA assets or ATLAS, but I do follow the development.
I've seen some "ATLAS is scam!" Videos pop up when I searched for its trailer on YouTube 🤷
Important to note the following RE Star Atlas: There are two tokens in the ecosystem. 1. $ATLAS - The transactional token in-game. This is inflationary with no supply cap. Not good for buy and hold. 2. $POLIS - The governance/DAO token. This has a low max supply, and allows holders to be a part of the decision-making process. I hold both, but see POLIS being worth much more in the future, assuming the game launches without too much trouble, and meets expectations. Happy investing.
100% hard no on ATLAS, so far they've had nothing but choregraphed trailers and **NOTHING** to show gameplay wise, so many people are buying in over hype from trailers
2022 is going to be huge for the Metaverse in general, ATLAS is one to watch for sure.
I jumped head first into crypto thanks to Crypto.com CRO hitting $.50 for the first time after their arena name change announcement. From there I got into BTC, ETH, SOL, ATLAS/POLIS, SHIB, HOT, SAND, sOHMS, LUNA, and am now mining helium. I have also started creating and purchasing NFTs as well as getting involved in a few different chain games like Sandbox, Star Atlas, and Legends:Maps. This has increased my app usage and forced me to track my assets/Crypto through multiple spreadsheets and portfolios including Coinstats. I've been familiar with crypto for years having done moderate research back when ETH was only just emerging, but in the past few months I have done a lot of research and am starting to feel out the market much better. I'm super happy because my brain is a hyper multitasking variable that needs constant stimulation. Now as I'm acting as a stay at home dad, I am beginning to see a small amount of passive income increase, all while going to school for Architectural Technician Certification. I have felt myself become more confident in my decisions over the past few months and a big part of that is dueto my crypto habit.
Mine is ETH, OIN, AXION, ADA and ATLAS. I think gaming and metaverse projects will do great so, I will add GGM and DREEM on my portfoliı once they get listed.

IMX, GODS and ATLAS! IMX having a zero fee on transfers inside is a great thing to have and Gods Unchained being an actual F2P and P2E game with an actual complete gameplay which most crypto games lack unfortunately. Both on coinbase but not priced on it yet because it happened on Holiday/tax bearish trend. Good project fundementals i think on both. Star Atlas is just looking like it is going to be a good game. If they can do half of what Phantom Galaxies did on Unreal Engine 5, it has a solid future!
That's a brave move on your part. You can begin with SAND and then progress to other Metavere games such as GALA, ATLAS, and GGM, as well as other Metaverse games such as MANA, DREEM, and Netvrk.
Star Atlas just went live this week and though it’s more of staking NFTs for ATLAS returns right now, and requires some $ to get started, has huge potential.
You will wind up with more of the stable coin and less of the other coin you're pooling with if that other asset moons. So yes you still run that risk. However you can combat that by either joining a dial yeild pool that pays in 2 assets like ATLAS/RAY on Raydium pays out in both Atlas and RAY or if you're doing something like LUNA/UST on osmosis to earn OSMO you could always trade your OSMO token once a week for LUNA to mitigate any IL as well. So there's a number of strategies you can take. If you're prepared to stay in the pool for 6+ months depending on the APY and what you do with your rewards you can certainly bring your cost basis down closw to zero and then you're making pure passive income once you've covered your original investment.

In 2022, more institutions will get into the space. That's for sure. I believe will see a surge in privacy focused projects as these institutions will be concerned about protecting their data while enjoying the fully benefits of decentralized finance. Panther Protocol and its cutting edge privacy enhancing technology and components will play a huge part here. It's auditable through selective disclosures features and 100% regulatory complaint. The Metaverse and Gamefi projects will also bring in more users. Expect projects like BLOK, GGM, SAND, ATLAS, ILV, SAND, RMRK to go parabolic. Expecially the ones like Alien Worlds and Monster Galaxy that are free to play.
What happens next in the market cycle contraction or expansion? Do we get a clear layer 1 winner taking massive market share, or do we adopt interoperability between chains (DOT, QNT) and there is no clear market winner, or do we have an explosion of tokens where every game, metaverse, company, DAO, Athlete, Movie have their own token a la MANA, ATLAS, SQUID.
I'll add JAWS, FINS, and ATLAS on BSC (not the game, but for Atlantis). The team is taking defi in more sustainable ways and are very focused on longevity. They've publicly stated they want the projects lasting so their grandkids can work on them. They're also one of the first to add functionality to NFTs, increasing APY by attaching their NFTs to your farms, with increasing %'s based on nft rarity and you can combo nfts of the same rarity for a chance to upgrade one and burn the other (decreasing supply and increasing floor price of NFTs). The team is a sleeper hit for price, and consistently place among the big boys on BSC defi (PCS, Apeswap, Biswap etc).

I know, I was just checking sentiment about it. It's a game based coin. One of the larger game projects. The other one a AAA title with the token ATLAS was being called a fraud by a bunch of other redditors. So before researching I figured I'd ask here

I'd be extremely wary of anything the guy touches, having a virtual world & coins/tokens that he controls, is a tremendously horrible idea. On the whole, the market appears to be somewhat optimistic at the moment. But beware the bear, it may yet rear its head.

What are your favourite gaming related coins outside of sand/mana that you feel can go up by 50% or more in the next 3 months? I think ATLAS has a chance. Illuvium maybe in the slightly longer term.
I'm a Doge holder, and I still think looking into the fundamentals is key to choose the projects you want to invest in. The problem is, when people in this sub do their research they only look for the things they care about (like how good the technology is) and not what the market actually cares about. Obviously having a great tech is good, but popular engagement and adoption are important values too. I believe a lot in ETH for example and so a good part of my portfolio is there, that is my Bitcoin. Now I am looking at new domains like P2E hence adding AXS, ATLAS and will bag UNQ(Unique Networks) after [listings](https://unique.network/blog/diamond-in-the-rough/). The team won the parachain slot!

Could be a bit late to jump into RNDR imo, BLOK hasn't pumped too hard yet though. As for ATLAS, I watched the ICO come and go and was too lazy to register with Raydium... Pretty cool concept though, it reminds me of an old school game "EVE online".
I'd stick to HODL on the coins I like (SAND, RNDR, BLOK, DERC, TLM, CHZ, ATLAS, RACA)...must admit that it is very hard to pick future winners. You can always check stats like holders dynamics, news/social coverage, number of wathlists, etc. but these are still not good predicitve tools. With games (and metaverse infrastructure) you probably need to be in the know to guess the winners. But one trend has been apparent to me since FB changed its name in October - a lot more interest towards all things meta and solid outperformance of the above coins vs. the monster duo and other altcoins, probably a lot of it FOMO driven but why miss on the opportunities?

Why nobody is talking about DEFI LP farms? I have been farming RAY/ATLAS since it became available more than 2 months ago. Sure, it induces Impermanent Loss but if you pick your cards right, you won’t get obliterated. And if you’re not going to sell them, it’s not permanent loss anyway. I have been acquiring around %110 APY on my 3000$ investment.

Does Star Atlas count as metaverse? I think I'm going to throw a bunch of money into both ATLAS and POLIS. MANA just looks...unprofessional. BLOK looks better. I don't know anything about SAND.
