I have high hopes for SWEAT because it's a decent project and backed by movement. Also just got involved with ICE mining ⛏️ and it seems like a promising project with transparency. If anyone would like more information and how to get involved for a lot of potential upside lmk! #snowmen

Theres no point in investing in second player if you already have the first. Buy a meduim-low cap instead like Stacks STX ( they are trying everything possible to make BTC smart, a layer 2 that uses BTC security, allowing it to scale with peace of mind), Solana SOL (Goolge? Solana things, super fast super cheap, very centralized which can be appealing to traditional users), LiteCoin LTC (The Silver of crypto), BitcoinCash BCH (if youre a simple investor who is after money then in my opinion buying BTC also means LTC and BCH, they are day 1 OGs and are statistically speaking just as sound and noteworthy as BTC), Tezos XTZ (Loved by media, advertising companies and hollywood, it has everything to be mainstream, like how McLaren has been rolling 23 weeks long NFT drops using Tezos blockchain), SweatEconomy SWEAT (Proof of movement rewarding the first 5k steps daily and more stuff to earn their coin built on NEAR network which is a superior product to ETH altogether), RVN (Potentially replacing ETH as the go to user friendly smart contracts POW which can be mined by anyone on GPU)

I ve dont some research on this subject since i love to walk around over 1000 miles/1600km per year and i am trying to increase it even more. I think the best app for earning potential is StepBet. Its not a crypto project, it works with paypal but you can earn 100-200$ per year if you obsess with it. It works by betting 40$ against other users that you will complete your cardio goals and they wont. It didn't work for me cause i want to do cardio on my own terms not follow some corporations custom cardio goals. What i want is a solid crypto project with good potential for the effort put. Unfortunately STEPN and SWEAT coin who are the top crypto projects right now are not worth it in terms of profitability. Maybe some newcomer is better or after the bull market starts these projects will actually be good to try.

I've been using Sweatcoin for a long time and I got some SWEAT at TGE for free. In the beginning I thought the token is doomed because it has an infinite supply and people get them just for walking. But they countered this in two ways: - each day you need more steps to generate 1 SWEAT and this will increase forever. - they frequently burn a lot of tokens So this is the only one I'm using because the other ones require you to buy some shitty NFTs and they have no mechanisms in place to keep the price from plummeting.

In October 2022 1.3K steps generated 1 SWEAT. Currently ~4K steps generates 1 SWEAT. The number of steps required per token increases over time, meaning it will be harder to mint tokens. It’s barely worth it. The only reason I started using it early was because it was easier to generate tokens and the app works in the background, requiring about 0 effort. You have to open the app once a while to claim the tokens though. It’s just for fun but I don’t put any energy into it so why not see what happens in the future haha

This is something that I have thought a lot lately. I believe that for smaller amounts of Crypto, we could have friendly-user solutions. Like vaults (like Reddit's Moons and Sweatcoin's $SWEAT), or similar constructions, which will not show you immediately your seed-phrase, but you can retrieve it if you want through the app or an email. But, these solutions can never be so secure for someone to hold a very big portion of their fortune. These constructions are not perfect, and people can lose their funds, by a hack, an accident, or a phishing attempt. Also, as Crypto becomes bigger, certain banks might support it as an investment vehicle. This is not a Decentralized (or desirable) way, but for those people that barely can use properly their smartphones, it would be the easiest, and -sadly- maybe the safest solution. Lastly, we must never forget that every day new people are born and become 18, and simultaneously old people die. So, every year that passes, the percentage of the population that are tech-competent will rise, and so, the number of people that use Crypto safely and securely. This last thing, doesn't make me happy (neither satisfies me ethically), but history has shown us, that new technologies are being widely adopted when the next generations -those that they grow with this tech from a young age- come.

tldr; Sweatcoin is an app that rewards users for physical activity by giving them Sweatcoins, which can be exchanged for various products and services. The app plans to launch its native cryptocurrency called SWEAT in 2022, allowing users to mint currency. The move-to-earn model, similar to play-to-earn, is gaining popularity in the crypto world, and Sweatcoin is part of this growing trend. The app has already attracted tens of millions of users and aims to incentivize physical movement while providing a novel model for running a crypto company. Users can earn Sweatcoins by walking or running, and the app tracks their steps to prevent cheating. Sweatcoin plans to introduce more features, such as a marketplace and auction section, and users can also donate their Sweatcoins to charities. The app is free to install, but there is a premium version available for additional benefits. Overall, Sweatcoin aims to create a rewarding user experience and plans to fully embrace cryptocurrency in the future. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. Conversion into SWEAT is very irregular for me too and sometimes doesn't happen at all. Support blames my phone/its software but I've not installed any updates. It used to work much better. And while we are complaining about this project, here are a few other things I don't like: * Sweat app & sweat wallet... why do we need 2 apps. * Sweatcoin (non crypto) & SWEAT token... why do we need two reward schemes? * Getting sweatcoin does not mean earning. It means getting tricked into spending money to utilize discounts. * The app is cluttered with BS. The key to making it better would be simplicity & focus on the right features. And making sure the step conversion works seamlessly.

I get you. I was offered a 2 year contract and could choose between a fixed amount of BTC or a fixed amount of fiat as monthly compensation, I'd chose BTC. This way I'd have certainty that I'm not being printed out of the value of my contract during its term. But I don't feel that way about all crypto. From the examples you mentioned, I earn SWEAT as well. But I don't want to hold it regardless of the APY in the "growth jars". Bottom line: Crypto is not always more valuable than fiat.

Been using SWC for a number of months now, I thought why not diversify my portfolio and earn while I walk, although I only have a few hundred SWEAT, it's a little something. The rewards though on the main app aren't really that special and you can usually get those same discounts if you go straight to that company's website anyway, but the competitions within the Wallet app are kinda cool, although you use SWEAT to enter them, it's usually 0.1 or 1 generally these days, haven't won one yet, but who knows, maybe one day!

I’ve used SWEATs original non-blockchain coin Sweatcoin for years. I think it’s fun, and give you a bit of motivation to exercise. It was a hard grind to actually accumulate enough to purchase anything, and the majority of the affordable rewards were just discounts on random products. I live a fairly active lifestyle, and I walk a lot at work (average about 14-16km per day) Now I’ve being earning SWEAT for about 9 months, and I’ve made the equivalent of 3.17USD so far. Like yeah it’s better than nothing, but it’s also hard to actually find a value in the token so I wouldn’t expect the price to jump much. It ain’t going to make you rich, but it’s a fun little gimmick that you could potentially win cool stuff from.

Well, the coins are just created right? Nobody is "buying" them. It is a PoW, like Bitcoin, just that the work is not ASICs hashing but rather people walking. Could be that the coins are just allocated from a pool of coins that already "exist", but if these would only be allocated via smart contract if the actual work is being done it should be basically the same thing. However I have to say I did not read into SWEAT beyond what is written here in this thread.

Right now it seems to be a fixed rate of increase of difficulty. They may eventually make it a floating rate depending on the number of people walking. Wondering about the utility of SWEAT tokens though. If there's not much use to them, it would pretty much end up as hype token minted out of thin air.

Part of me wishes I had heard about SWEAT a lot earlier, I wouldn't bother with it now. However, I am still an active PoGo player, and in fact, since 2016, I have walked/jogged over 20,000km. I am a pretty active person, on my feet for work, and play sport, but PoGo has definitely been a factor for my increased general walking activities as well... any crypto rewards would have been good incentive to maintain the active lifestyle as well.

Yes, right now it looks almost good. But its fully on the way to hype up awards with NFTs and other stuff which require more SWEAT than you can earn by walking (increasing difficulty and low step cap each day). So what will happen once it's impossible? You will have to buy SWEAT to earn more SWEAT and rewards, and there we are.
