Generally good answers in this thread, but I just want to add my 2 satoshis. If you have no experience with investing, be cautious. Bitcoin is volatile. It goes up hard and it goes down hard. Don't get me wrong, I'm of the belief bitcoin will keep going up over time. But if you have no experience managing wealth and you don't know what it feels like to lose tens of thousands of dollars overnight, then you don't know how you're going to react when it inevitably happens. It's easier than you think to panic sell. $100,000 is a lot of money, and it takes skill and experience to manage that much money. I would suggest to ease into it, maybe even start with $50,000 or less, and see if this lifestyle makes you happy. And definitely set a strict goal. Whether that goal is a sell limit and a buy limit, or the goal is just to hodl for X amount of years, STICK TO THE GOAL. This is the game you are now playing, so follow the rules. I think a reasonable GOAL to set for your self is .05%. Than once you've hit that, start trying to slow move forward to .1%. After that shoot for .5%. Realistically, just dca as much as you can as often as you can. Don't overextend yourself now, but some small sacrifices of fiat in the short term will more than likely make for life changing wealth in the long term.

I also understand that there are other coins looking to deploy zkrollup and L2 wallets/DEX. I believe in the GOAL of Loopring, but I'm not 100% convinced they can pull it off. Look. You are confusing decentralisation and owning a lot of the coins. Owning 50%, hell even 90% doesn't make bitcoin less decentralized because it's a POW coin not POS. You can't control the network regardless of whatever portion you hold. Now, let's go to your second concern which is would that make the 50% holder super rich if BTC go up, and can they control the price. The answer is YES, of course.
