Almost the same story - found BTC through a pokersite in 2013 ( without SWC being mentioned ) and later found SWC. Afaik i left because of the lack of members for SNG/MTT and tables taking ages to fill.

Welcome to poker. SWC was certainly something, but they had and I hope still have great service. When shut down by the Las Vegas Gaming commission, due to Bitcoin, players got their funds back instead of Black Friday round 2. I don't think game integrity (at least on Seals end, they can't shut down all collusion) was an issue.

I mean yes, that's right was around for that granted never used MtGox myself - i'm an ex poker pro who won his first crypto on Sealswithclubs off a freeroll back in like 2012-2013ish around that range if I recall BTC was at about $25-30 at the time and I was told to buy BTC at the 2011 WSOP and nearly did although didn't have my first crypto til I started playing on SWC back in the day. But yeah, the gambling industry is always early to new tech.

Been using SWC for a number of months now, I thought why not diversify my portfolio and earn while I walk, although I only have a few hundred SWEAT, it's a little something. The rewards though on the main app aren't really that special and you can usually get those same discounts if you go straight to that company's website anyway, but the competitions within the Wallet app are kinda cool, although you use SWEAT to enter them, it's usually 0.1 or 1 generally these days, haven't won one yet, but who knows, maybe one day!

ETH 2.0 no longer exists in Vitaliks mind. It's now just a series of improvements. The main two are PoS and Sharding to address the high gas fees and limited transaction bandwidth. Alongside several smaller improvements. He said this on Liz Friedman's podcast last month. He seems to know the direction, but it's awfully slow. I think there's a chance Binance still eats ETHs lunch, but maybe Solana which has Proof of History amongst other innovations and is revolutionary in comparison (but less tried and tested). ETH also is super well networked with Elites as we can see by it evading the SEC's eye, who picked on XRP instead. No coincidence that an Ethereum Foundation member is paying the ex SWC chairman $1.6m advisory fee annually. Also tied in with EU. Also seems to have high level influencer influence. Be interesting to see what releases and events drive the autumn bull run and who ends up with more or less share and who does well in the next crypto winter. As usual a good portion of the top 100 coins will go up in smoke. Everything in the top 10 is probably safe, although I don't get the fuse on Ada and feel execution is low and Charles is the biggest dufus
