It’s pure speculation but I think it shows that Ethereum was given a free pass by the SEC and that many officials did not think XRP was a security. If you’ve been following the lawsuit, the SEC hasn’t done a good job of proving their case and makes leaps. Then when they get called out on said leaps they delay the case in order to come up with a better argument. I’d recommend watching Legal Briefs on YT for more info.
No worries... having looked at the context of your post again, here's another idea... you could earn a wage making crypto focused "finance topic" video on YouTube as this topic selection pays 3x more per view on YT compared with other topics like vlogger or gaming videos. This is why there's so much garbage and lick bait crypto content on YouTube. And the aforementioned trading courses people try to flog on YouTube - or making a private discord community. I'm just saying it because it's a thing people do to make money.
Honestly need to get my gnosis safe set up asap. All videos on YT are a bit outdated. Any up to date resources to use?
Let’s be honest here: the really smart people - who have studied this deeply and understand the 4 year cycle and macro events and can read charts - will be selling near the highs and buying near the lows. Ben Cowen of the highly popular cryptoverse YT channel does this. Of course he doesn’t catch the absolute peaks and troughs but he does ‘sell high’ and ‘buy low’. As others have pointed out, so far, in its limited existence of ‘only’ 10 or so years, history has proven buying and holding is a prosperous approach. My issue there is Bitcoin has gone from essentially zero to $1tn over that time; of course the price was going to go up if it wasn’t going to fade away and die. The question now is will it continue? Does Bitcoin become akin to gold and ‘go up forever’ as Michael Saylor says it will, or does its adoption and utility slowly diminish banishing Bitcoin to obscurity as a novelty collector’s item.
As a side note Trezor had been hacked. Not the seed phrase, but pin for the device. Someone figured it out how to do it last year. You'd need access to physical device, and requires electronics / hardware knowledge, but it was done. Person that hacked it put up a video on YT explaining how it was done. Moral of the story is that if you are using 3rd party solution there is always risk, regardless of what you are using.
There are 150 that participate as validators with 32 supermajority nodes through multiple rounds of voting to arrive at consensus. Ripple recently relinquished more validators from their dUNL. There is more than one dUNL published. Minimum amount of research and understanding shows XRPL is decentralized by its very nature. Go on Twitter and interact with the XRP community. Xspecter just launched for XLS 20 Nfts made their own validator and has just been added to the super majority validators. Reality is contrary to the narrative that is built in this sub by ETH and BTC maxis. It's like the people that constantly talk shit about XRP got all their info from a click bait YT video filled with fake info.
Yeah, I can imagine. There's a dude I watched on YT that apparently made 1000 dollars out of 10 dollars. I'm very skeptical but at the same time, it feels possible. What do you advise me to do?
Avoid YT recommendations and look into projects yourself
It’s not a yes or no question, it seems you are too immature to have an open discussion, if you want to try and be mature I will give you my personal opinion. You can disagree that is fine, because it’s an opinion, you can not disagree with facts, which I have provided. IMO Ledger has had a bit of a PR disaster, the way they handled this situation was awful, if they wanted to do what they have suggested, I’m completely baffled how they didn’t decide to release a new piece of kit for learners or beginners who do not trust themselves. However, if you zoom out and keep a clear mind, not a lot has really changed, the facts are Ledger devices are a good bit of kit, with pretty much up to date components and multiple layers for protection. Despite what people think, ledger can not just take your seed from your device and hand it out, it doesn’t work like that, it has to be user that allows it. You seem really upset at ledger and I don’t blame you, but you knew they were “closed source” when you bought the device, yet you still bought it, you use apps and devices every single day that are closed source and you trust them companies to not exploit you, you complained about data leaks and breaches, yet you’re here on Reddit, a forum that has had countless data leaks, same as Apple, Amazon, all companies “leak” data because they sell it for profit… Trezor for example use cheap and nasty components, as I’ve said many times, ones that were in phones 8-10 years ago, they have open source and you can see they have recovery options also, they have also been breached numerous times, and not just with people having the device physically that you seem to think also. My personal choice is for people to use their own hardware, there are probably countless tutorials on YT how to do this if you do not know how, but again, you’re likely to be trusting someone else’s programming. Until ledger have a breach or a user has their key exploited it’s hard to say they are not secure, are the CEOS liars ? Did they go back on something they said they would never do? Maybe, and that is a problem in its self for sure. But the truth is, all hardware and software requires you to have trust, even open source as you keep saying, I’m pretty sure you have 0 idea what it means or what it’s for. I could release the worlds best wallet with all opensource code, and 1 day later that opensource code could be completely irrelevant… as I keep saying, unless you are personally in the presence of the people flashing the firmware and watching them load with boot loader, you’ve no idea what’s going on, even with open source… I’ve tried my best to educate you, you’ve made your mind up, good luck in the future.
It's like that dude on YT who was barging with his gains and he forgot to crop the screenshot showing that he was using a "demo account" on eToro LMAO. It's all smoke and mirrors with those "influencers" bloody snake oil sellers all of them,
I saw RH for 2 seconds on a YT vid, and immediate knew the guy was a con-man. I don't know how people fall for this guy's scam
You very obviously don't code at all. Your needlessly complicated steps are simply unnecessary. Computing has moved out of the early 1980's. You simply compare checksums of the copy on your computer with the copy on the git repository. Again, a checksum is the result of a hash function. You would know that if you ever verified open source software. You would also know that "data integrity" is the exact same thing as verifying it's authenticity, aka genuine. You should really learn to code at a real university, not from YT videos.
Hilarious . . . .:) . . . . . the dad got told !! . . . . .i reckon an hour a day of Kitboga on YT for the next month for Dad .
Congrats on the move, it's never too late. ONLY INVEST MONEY YOU CAN AFFORD TO LOSE. Invest in your knowledge, learn about Bitcoin as much as you can. The Bitcoin Standard book is a must read. Also, **don't reply any DMs**, promising to buy Bitcoin from them or get rich quick and read this short guide, please: **Price wise, nobody knows what the price will be tomorrow, nor next week.** **Try "Bitcoin ONLY" strategy for at least first year**, you'll sleep much better. Newcomers lose so much money, holding garbage tokens just because someone on YT told them to. Going DCA is probably the best approach, IMHO. Bitcoin to me, is a savings account. If I have some spare cash, I exchange it for SATs. Once a week works best for me, but I'm getting paid weekly. If there's a 10% drop in the price since my last buy, I usually double my buy. This [DCA calculator](https://dcabtc.com/) might help to decide what will work best for you. In a few years, even $10 dollars a month can make a massive difference. Now, don't buy a fake Bitcoin at etoro or similar, get the real thing. Register at a proper exchange and buy real Bitcoin. Any of these will do [https://bitcoin-only.com/get-bitcoin](https://bitcoin-only.com/get-bitcoin) Install (or buy - in case you're getting Bitcoin in Thousands of $) one or more of these wallets. A few good wallet choices: [https://blockstream.com/green/](https://blockstream.com/green/) \- Top Security Features, Open Source and Non-Custodial [https://bluewallet.io](https://bluewallet.io/) \- excellent, easy to use wallet, Open Source and Non-Custodial [https://electrum.org](https://electrum.org/) \- Solid choice, Open Source and Non-Custodial, one of the oldest and most trusted Bitcoin Wallets. Lightning wallets to consider (cheaper and faster transactions, great for very small amounts): [https://phoenix.acinq.co/](https://phoenix.acinq.co/) \- Phoenix [https://blixtwallet.github.io/](https://blixtwallet.github.io/) \- Blixt - rapidly becoming my favourite LN wallet [https://breez.technology](https://breez.technology/) \- Breez - excellent POS for small business owners as well as integrated Bitrefill or LN Pizza Hardware Wallets (to store larger amounts): [https://trezor.io/](https://trezor.io/) \- Easy to use, no matter how new in Bitcoin you're. [https://coldcardwallet.com/](https://coldcardwallet.com/) \- ColdCard is currently the safest and most recommended here. There's also Ledger, but I wouldn't recommend as not fully open source, keep and already leaked customers' details, recently said they're capable or sending customers' keys out just with a firmware update, etc. Stay away. Whatever wallet you'll decide to buy, purchase DIRECTLY from the manufacturer, no eBay, no Amazon. Make sure the device is NOT preset, and you will generate your own seed words. Write them down on any piece of paper as well as the receiving address. Now wipe the wallet and generate a new wallet. If the seed words are different than the first set, you're safe to use it. Find an option to set a passphrase and use it. This will boost the security to another level. Never store the seed words and passphrase together. Use a different medium if possible. If somebody finds both, they'll be able to steal your coin. This little device will hold the keys to your money, that's the reason why you have to be a bit more careful. Also, no worries, if it breaks, you can replace it - as long as you keep your seed words and passphrase(s) safe. Welcome to the rabbit hole and don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions anytime during your Bitcoin journey.
Or if not then run this name on YT anyone after that will get better idea
The Ring - buying after watching YT shill video, the coin you bought dies after 7 days.
Neither. Ideally, this is how hardware wallet is supposed to work: * if someone steals your hardware wallet, they cannot access your funds because to do that they need to know your PIN and, assuming you set it up, they'll also need to know your 2FA phrase (aka. the 25th seed word, well worth learning how to set it up, it's easy), * the wallet asks for your PIN (and your 25th word if you set it up) every time it's connected. It will *NEVER* ask you for the seed phrase. The seed phrase is *NEVER EVER* keyed in *ANYWHERE,* it should be only stored on a piece of paper or a steel plate (they are available for purchase). The seed is only displayed on your wallet once, during its initialisation so you can write it down on a piece of paper. The last item is very important: *NOBODY* should *EVER* ask you for your seed phrase, no company, no lawyer, nobody. **EXCEPT** if you want to provide it in your will/testament in which case you make sure the testament is stored in a secure place. In general, check the web and YT for care and feeding of hardware wallets and (especially) of the seed phrase. Again, remember your money is stored in the cloud (in the blockchain or ledger file), it's NOT stored in your wallet which acts only as a convenient keyring giving you access to the funds. In this sense it's a bit like a web browser (except it's a ledger browser) that displays certain information but does not contain it. Buy the wallet directly from the manufacturer, no Amazon, no eBay, etc. If your wallet looks funny upon arrival (the seal looks broken, serial numbers don't match, etc.) or it already has a key pre-installed in it - return the thing and notify the manufacturer.
Sorry to hear you feel desperate. Personally, I tied a lot of my financial and quality-of-life goals to Bitcoin and Ethereum in in the 2018 crypto winter. I bought a lot at a big discount and it worked out pretty well. So it is possible. You might not be looking for advice from an internet stranger, so feel free to disregard but here's my 2 cents: There's a fine line between gamblers and investors - both are hopeful, both take some risk, and both often buy the same assets. But investors put in the work and the time. They read (I recommend Andreas Antonopolous' writings) and don't just followed YT hype videos and price predictions. Most successful crypto investors make the big money after 4-5 years. Don't try to short cut it. Meanwhile, enjoy life, be kind to others, build relationships, grow knowledge and develop skills.
Reported it to YT, not sure if it will help.
that was one of the things that made me go "the tops gotta be almost in" in my head. Every other YT video was explaining to me how btc was gonna be 250k in 30 days or less. Stock to flow model BS lol

> I'd rather trust his words than anyone here seeing he hacked a lot of wallets in his YT channel, he's tons more knowledgeable more than the average guy in this sub. What words? He only spoke of the usefulness of Ledger Recover, he did not speak of anything technical around the original concern of seeds or keys leaving the device. Is reading comprehension and critical thinking that hard?
think its time to open up the telegram and maybe pony up for a decent YT shiller. CMC was a good boost for today but volumes dropping

Matthew Kratter at Bitcoin University on YT has done a couple of videos on this from a month or so ago.
I agree. He really didn’t do the idea justice is what I was trying to say. I knew what he was trying to say bc I had seen him talk about it on other YT videos, but this video did him a disservice.
I have not. I’ve only seen him on YT. I was commenting that this talk doesn’t stand alone, or if it tries to, it is awful. I’ve seen him make his points well, but this video wasn’t one of his best.
You too watch YT shorts too much ser
Yeah, he still continue his YT carreer like nothing happened
1) Businesses are extremely inclined to constantly spend their money though as every business on the planet knows that money is decaying in value, so they should spend it on growth/jobs. 2) You can't say that an index fund like SPY, bonds or real estate are somehow less risky than BTC. In a deflationary environment corporations will cut your pay raises and pay you less and less every year and governments would actually be forced to lower the minimum wage eventually. 3) Bitcoin will lead a lot more people dirt poor and homeless than they are now if the government can't bail out people. Spending decreases, which leads to job cuts, and you took away the govts money printer so have fun trying to live off welfare while not being able to find a job because corporations go into survival mode. 4) This is naive bullshit. I have a full time job, a family and a life. I don't have time to change the world, nor would 99.99% of people here if they wanted to. Nor would they even know what to do to overturn the entire Republican party and somehow give control back to the democrats. You're telling me if I really wanted to either make Trump president last election, or somehow become president myself if I really tried hard enough? Or if i somehow wanted to fix the entire country to vote the color I wanted them to that I'd be able to do that?? You really think one individual can overturn the terrible gridlock our government is going through? Who's naive to think that one single individual can somehow completely overthrow the entire Republican party that's holding our government hostage. I It's really easy to say 'Yeah, somehow change the course of the entire United States government by putting in the effort and just protesting/demonstrating/Voting!' 60% of people in the nation don't even vote, and no amount from protesting from me or how many YT videos I make will change that.
I have never watched a YT video about crypto.
Have you seen the Saylor “second best” video on YT? If you search exactly that it’ll come up. Last time I posted it a mod told me to remove it.
Yes!!! Piss them off. I watch kitboga on YT and its crazy to watch the length that scammers go to.. sleeping on the floor, shift work and the mass influx of them pulling gift cards. Their entitlement is a joke and I love when kitboga ruins it 🤣
A major update for Radix DLT, which allows smart contracts on network along with the rest of the tech stack such as smart accounts (wallets with no/optional seedphrases), transaction manifests and much more. Watch the RadFi 2022 video on YT to know more.
I just learned about this from the Crypto Dad YT channel. Why the fuck do I have to learn about this from a 3rd party? Here is my hope is maybe you supply the keys or when you're in the starting phase you can opt in. But if it is what we are thinking, I would 100% be behind suing them. I bought this for a reason.
It’s on their YT channel… it’s all true. I feel scammed.
Have u heard of Tangem? Its a HW wallet in the shape of a credit card which interacts w your mobile’s NFC. No seed phrases. Saw it being marketed by Coinsider(YT)
Sounds like youve dug into this already but the ‘ Gary’s Economics’ YT channel has a really good episode on this subject. He doesn’t mention Bitcoin, just the principles around money
I really need to learn to read the charts. If anyone has a good resource be it website or YT, I would appreciate. I bought PEPE right before the last dump and down around 45%. I didn't want to take the loss and figured as you did that the community is strong and not your dime a dozen meme coin we see everyday.
Get your advice here, not YT. *Not financial advice.
It's like this with most coaches in any industry on YT. I'm surprised so many people fall for it.
YT influencers are just out to steal your money also. They aren’t sharing any secret news before they pump.
Wouldn't consider it following the YT'ers more front running the bag holders
does the title of the Post not have to match YT video's title normally?
Seriously…. Look at all the YT douchebags. CryptoBanter, Ivan on tech, BitBoy “Fat boy” etc. thumbnails mouth open “1000x bull run started” “load your bags now”.
Ok, so how and why? The artist clearly had to have a massive following, influencer, YT’r, Instragram or whatever BS to justify that source of price action in a short amount of time.
So you can (try) mine a block without shares? Just found spanish YT videos.. Any explaination out there?

Yeah, probably accurate Im just looking for a good outlet to keep up with Btc news. Any blogs or YT channels you recommend?
I wonder which YT channel with 2m subs does OP have in mind? I think he should name and shame them.
Normally I say fuk all to YT influencers…right when I started to watch one that I started liking..PEPE changed that atmosphere right to where I expected to be.
Yes there are some tutorials on YT explaining
Anybody following YT shillers is kind of asking for it. They dont have the momentum om YT to be rich.. not enough interest. So how are they gonna bank? Shill, shill and shill some more.
It's just a preference for ! like i don't like shorts on YT , i don't like NFT on Bitcoin blockchain !! Ethereum , Polygon and other blockchains are better on that !
Hello out there! Guys, can anyone of u tell me is there any simple way to pay in crypto for such tiny things like YT premium, or other sites subscriptions (netflix for instance). I was also wondering is there a chance to make some online purchases using crypto. Ofc it may be some 3rd party service that takes ur crypto and turns it into acceptable payment method by the end user so i can bay something on amazon or other e-shops. Any suggestions?
YT channel "Ioni Appelberg" Great Videos, really like his/their style

I just watched a YT travel vid about Vietnam, if you want to only work 8 hours a week just get a decent paying remote job and move there. Holy crap, I knew it was cheap but never realized it was *that* cheap.

Ah you mean just follow his advice on YT. I'll certainly take a better look soon. I just really want to learn and get consistent as you said. I enjoy trading and looking at charts and I've even found myself doing things I've later seen more profitable YouTubers talk about so I can teach myself somewhat but the problem is that it's costing me losses that I'd rather avoid.
Lol ok. That was tradersz.com I mentioned. I'll watch his YT
Thanks I've just subbed to those on YT but wow.. on trader SZ website it says Terms: £77.99 / Month. I guess that's for a different service.
I'm sure there's a YT influencer in the mix somehow.
DeFi has so many weir quirks that I just can't wrap my head around why so many people get into it. I remember this one dude on YT yield farming and hoping between various exchanges during DeFi boom, he made some money here and there but more often than not he'd just waste cash on those. I mean who can sustain a %2000+ APY on a brand-new coin or DeFi ecosystem? A lot of them sounded like total scams to me back then.
Just do shit that makes you happy, he seems like he loves crypto and YT so he’ll probably just have more freedom and F you money. Dudes been giga rich tho so probably nothing new to him
For those of you that trade(d), how did you learn? Any recommendations for courses, YT videos, etc. I’m more looking just to help identify tops/bottoms better, but will take any trading advice
There's your problem, promoting on YT
I so want to share that Saylor video on YT but last time the Reddit mods came for me.
This is the only way to save yourself from Crypto scams on YT
There's a lot going on really - [chain key BTC](https://internetcomputer.org/docs/current/developer-docs/integrations/bitcoin/ckbtc) is live, working on direct integration with ETH, launches through the SNS have started to create a DAO for projects that go through it like [OpenChat](https://www.theblock.co/post/217854/openchat-to-transfer-control-to-community-after-5-5-million-decentralization-sale), HTTPs outcalls are live to pull in web2 data directly to the chain, NFTs of physical items starting. Info is all over so I guess the R&D videos are good to see what tech is being pushed out on their YT channel.
Exactly my point. Maybe instead of supporting rugs and scams by gatekeeping true information, we could help newbs get the information they need, in one place- with updated warnings, chains moved in and moved out of trusted and solid project category- while it fails, not after- laughing because we were able to exit before some poor souls that listened to the wrong podcast or watched the wrong YT vid and trusted that "it's just a temporary drop and we will bounce back- buy now!".
Ah, I see you choose *the vague* approach, then I will counter with my super effective *that was my point* response; as there are more people getting paid in Bitcoin than in the local currency of Kosovo, Butan, Equador, the list goes on.. Same goes for spending. Luckily, there are no money that are legal tender for all the dept both private and public. That would be terrible! I think you misunderstand the word, I see by a quick YT search that this is common. Watching half an hour on the topic from different sources further confirms this, to me. Go have a look! So I think all that is left to debunk is the public legal tender, which translated means "Bitcoin isn't money because no country has it as their national currency (yet)". To which my response is, okay boomer go try define "actual money" again. Meanwhile I'll go buy myself a nice meal for my "fake money".
If anyone in this sub is interested, MIT has an open courseware YT channel that has his entire blockchain course posted. It’s very revealing about dirty Gary and his flip flopping.
Yes maybe my expectatives are some high due the clickbait and fake shit on Coinmarketcap and some YT channels about crypto and profits. And yeah I know invest on alts is gambling really, they can up low a lot but down as fuck and never recover, although their projects are really good. For example QRDO or XHV, or KDA... Hope they recovery one day. Well is really low probably than Bitcoin make x10 in just 1 year. But ofc nobody knows, but really low probabilities I think. Maybe I'm mistaking it.

Thanks. The reason I asked is because I have noticed people saying it in a deliberate way on YT and elsewhere. Another is deliberately pronouncing "s" as "sch" ex. saying "schtand" instead of "stand".
There is the coinbureau and whiteboard crypto channels on YT, explains stuff in an easy and unbiased way, also Crypto twitter is a great place to learn but you need to follow the right ppl.
