While I acknowledge the potential of ICP, its current 6 billion market capitalization is not aligned with my preferences. Consequently, I've opted for mid or low-cap investments. Now that Meta open-sourced their AI model, POKT will massively benefit from it and easily reach $10B market cap at the peak of this bull run. It is a nice 30x pump from current price. Think of it in a way that open-sourcing AI will do in AI space what open-source Bitcoin did in crypto space: tons of projects popping up, advancing the tech and building innovative products on top of it. When you consider that POKT is launching Shannon upgrade in June 2024, which will finally make it capable of serving LITERALLY ALL open-source AI and LLM projects, you cannot be be bullish enough of it. That's not really a good comparison. Akash ($AKT) is decentralized compute, with the addition of decentralized GPUs, while POKT is decentralized data communications. Both would work together in a DecAI stack. Akash acts as the brains processing the request, and POKT is the comms stack both handling model inference for training and requests to and from DecAI systems.

POKT might easily dominate the entire DePIN scene. They have spent years building a Shannon protocol on top of Celestia, an endlessly scalable monster protocol capable of serving all AI and LLMs requests. Total addressable market for AI and LLMs is measured in billions. My warm suggestion is to research it deeply not to regret later. NFA.

POKT is doing very well ngl. I've entered POKT last month thanks to Andrew Kang (one of the earliest crypto OGs from 2010) after his tweets. He claims POKT will do another 20x easily, leaving everyone in disbelief. I've never seen him so bullish on some project like this. POKT is one I’ve followed and believed in for a long time. Everyone is always looking for use case and revenue and this one has it in spades and at the current market cap its a steal. The quick and dirty on POKT is one of the big downfalls of gaming or any kind of wallet or fetch feature on apps or programs they interact with block chains is if you want to be able to access that blockchain you need the entire blockchain downloaded and interfaced with your app to quickly and reliably search and recall tx or any kind. That takes it from lightweight to heavy, complicated, and bloated. That’s where POKT comes in. It creates basically the tp/ip for all blockchains in its system and allows you to talk to them all at anytime. It allows you to build a lightweight app with all the power of the blockchain and the network is created by everyone running nodes full of pokt. Node runners get rewarded by assisting traffic or rpc requests by way of programmed gateways. It’s basically like an Amazon web services but for block chain. It already has over 40 chains on it works seamlessly with no downtime and does over a billion relays a day. The relays over time will all be paid the apps and companies using pokt pay for each relay to the POKT foundation which is like the decentralized gov that you can be a part of by owning nodes. That many is used to buy POKT and it’s burned for the network creating revenue. POKT had a huge rise and crash last cycle because it was in its growing phase but now it’s mature inflation is down and paid relays are going up and up and it’s getting bigger and bigger. As far as depin goes it’s an awesome play and a crucial part of decentralized web3. POKT seems like a cool project and the developers are definitely thinking long term. The current issue I have is that defi developers who want to access their RPC nodes do not have to spend POKT in order to do so, they just have to stake POKT. Rewards for running a RPC node come from newly minted POKT (re. inflation) and the value captured by node providers needs to come from somewhere. Is it the node providers themselves whose rewards are less then the inflation rate? The developers accessing the nodes whose staked POKT loses value to inflation? Or retail traders who buy and hold the coin but don't do anything with it believing it will gain value due to hype? That being said, The POKT team plans to shift away from the inflation model at some point in the future so I believe this project is headed in the right direction and I am excited for what they might do!

It had multi billion dollar valuation few years ago, it is sitting under $100m now. Few weeks ago Pocket partnered with Infura and Aave, which somehow went completely under the radar. That's true, almost everything is pumping these days. I believe OP wanted to say that stuff that POKT team is doing on the demand side (having a lot of gateways to the protocol) is what will make POKT very successful in the long run. I'm cautiously bullish on POKT. It had very bad 2022 and first half of 2023. Things are looking extremely optimistic now, but never put all eggs in one basket folks. Invest wisely.
POKT is not doing any marketing since 2021. It is silently building, which is why you haven't heard about it yet. Multiple gateways is by far the biggest idea because it exponentially increases number of participants in the ecosystem with skin in the game. Pocket Network's CEO has a vision of 100s of gateways to POKT protocol, which would create indelible network effect just like Bitcoin and Ethereum achieved. Price went down a lot, but OTC trading activity mooned. On-chain activity skyrocketed past few weeks. All of a sudden, Infura is tweeting the exact same words used by POKT (such as "The Watchers"). There is no capped supply, but POKT is introducing a burn of app stakes in v0 already. In v1 there will be an automated burn of app stakes, but currently while POKT still uses v0, burn will be done by collecting fees from apps off-chain and then through a burn transaction. It's around 10 POKT for the past 24 hours. It varies though depending on the number of relays that your node serves. For example, the other day aapokt and [cryptonode.tools](https://cryptonode.tools) had an average of 60 POKT within 24 hours. But yes, it's currently expected to make around 15 POKT per day currently. It's not worth much at these prices in USD, but assuming that you hold the rewards for the bull run, it can be a significant amount. Node is currently quite cheap, around $600 each.

Infura and Alchemy are not decentralized, but interestingly Infura is using POKT infrastructure for the part of their traffic.
Hey there, I'm from DeFi Kingdoms, and would like to take a few minutes to address some of the things you mentioned in your thread and in the comments. First, about the initial launch: DeFi Kingdoms originally had many early investors from within the Harmony One ecosystem when they launched on 23rd August 2021. In fact, the developers were too busy launching the initial interface and many bought only after the initial price increase of JEWEL - there's enough blockchain proof of that. The initial liquidity was the agreement with a 3rd party investor, which has been addressed many times already. The investor was not allowed to withdraw the LP at any point, but was allowed to trade any staking rewards in return for the risk of providing the initial liquidity - since if the project would have failed, the investor would have lost his investment. The LP are still staked and untouched. Regarding the mining quest exploit: yes, there was an unintended workaround of moving locked tokens that allowed players to unlock more tokens than they would have by questing normally. However, different than your post claims, no team-member was involved in the exploit. Furthermore, the amount of tokens that was being unlocked by this workaround was a fraction of what was being unlocked via the actual gameplay (through the yield farm and the questing). Again, there is plenty of blockchain data to support this. Also, Frisky Fox was involved in Lootswap before he started DeFi Kingdoms, but he left before things went down with Lootswap and was not involved in any scams. Now, to the state of the project now. It is certainly not in shambles, and development is flourishing with one of the best communities in crypto space.
