The potential of THETA is huge and solves a really big problem. I think what needs to happen is for them to show a demo of their technology in a live environment. As of now, it's still just ideas in test setups. THETA is a small bag for me (~10% of my portfolio + ~5% TFUEL) and it is getting bulldozed this bear market. But I'll still DCA small amounts each month since the potential is too much to miss out.
Pair trade related assets while the market moves sideways. THETA/TFUEL, AXS/SLP, FTM/SPIRT are all examples with positive sharp ratios.

I’m very concerned that the coming DEPRESSION will crush crypto. I’m a THETA TFUEL guy and I play the ratio these days to build up my holdings without spending more money. This however might not be enough to keep up. If I quadruple my holdings but crypto drops %95 we’ll do the math. I’m counting on crypto to get rich so for me it’s a scary time. I have a decent job so I should be ok but yeah I want crypto to do a lot for my family and it may be a while.

TFUEL is about 9% apy. There will soon be an official Theta Ledger app, but for now use the ETH app with the web wallet and stake from there. Staking is instant, but withdrawing a stake takes 50 hours with no rewards during that time. Great price to get in at though.

Is it not like THETA/TFUEL where the main coin is for staking, governance, and gas generation while the other is for actual utility? The whole dual token setup seems to be good in theory but way too awkward in practice. I think NEO and ONT use it as well.

I think the problem with adoption is that content creators on YouTube are able to generate cash through ad revenue while on theta they need to buy in to the protocol and earn TFUEL. Which they would then have to sell to fund their operation and their lavish crypto YouTuber lifestyles hurting the price of TFUEL in the process by always selling it. 🤷♂️
Cardano, because no minimum requirements and your coins are never locked.You can withdraw them and use them whenever you like. Second would be TFUEL for me, because you can run your own node on any PC that is online 24/7 and don't have to pay anyone any fee...

If you are looking for cheaper coins to invest, in the hopes that they go parabolic then you should be loading up on ACH, AMP, CRO, and TFUEL that are under $0.50, and ALGO, IOTA, and KCS that are over $1 but under $2. Of course there are others.
I have been reading about Theta thanks to this post, but apparently you didn't mention that their token ( TFUEL) can't be withdrawn of the platform and has little use even there. Apparently THETA.tv is still in early stages and not that great from a farming perspective
TFUEL was the star for the first half of 2021. MTV has done the heavy lifting for the second half.

Not a single mention on Theta here? Too many node operators, too little actual audience, even then earning TFUEL dust can take forever.

The point is most consumers will prefer points that don't expire and i can spend outside elsewhere versus the current system. We are going to see more of this model in the future. I am not a HODLer and I often go all in on one project. Last year my portfolio was 100% LUNA for a brief bit when LUNA was 20 cents (sold everything @ 25 cents). And this year, at certain point in time, I was 100% IOTA, 100% UNI, 100% TFUEL, 100% ETH, 100% ADA, and now 100% ICX. I am up around 2000% in 2021 so I think I have developed a nice little system to maximize on this type of strategy. But I would not recommend it to everyone else because you need to really do thorough research on all of these projects (as well as all possible projects) to see when it is a good time to buy/sell.
TFUEL staked from an official Theta web wallet earners about 9% apr with no risk of losing your cryptos. Apr goes down with more TFUEL staked though. I've heard XPRT earns 30%

I'm at around 4.2x return on TFUEL, so +320%. I read about it, moved 100% of my portfolio into it and it 4x'd the next week lol.
Utility > all, I'm heavily invested in THETA/TFUEL and MRPH because they serve a real purpose and the teams behind them don't care one bit about coin price but only increasing the utility-value of the coin. This ultimately will drive stable price increase that's resistant to the classic pump and dump volatility of Bitcoin. Currently everything still follows Bitcoin in USD price, but it helps to look at value over time of coin vs. BTC price.
TLDR: I would drop Litecoin ADA and MATIC, easy hold and stake. LINK, i believe will do well and pump soon enough. ONE, i think its stakeable, but I don't know how/where LTC, I dont think will die, but I don't see it having huge runs either. I don't know anything about TFUEL.

Look out for altcoins that have not pumped as much as the rest. Absolutely stay clear of SOL and ADA. I'd wait for a potential weekend dip before buying in because many alts seems to have gone up at least 10% from yesterday But I'm looking at MANA, SAND, TFUEL, ERN, ENJ if you're interested in high growth NFT projects.

Bought 10k TFUEL at around $0.03 to stake and just sat on it… even in today’s rough market I’m over 10x, ATH was over 20x - good luck!

Idk if THETA is my fav coin but I love its concept and development so far. The worst part is that their test streaming platform gives out TFUEL (their transacting token) for sharing bandwidth etc. but does not let you withdraw this if you’re a viewer (only the streamers can)

This is a really wise decision. Well IMO I would rather sell TFUEL, DOGE and jump on DeFi protocols that gives me privacy and anonymity.
I go all in on one coin for like 1-2 months if I am sure that the coin is about to pump. For example, my portfolio was 100% TFUEL in May/June and my portfolio went up by 50% during that time. Moreover, when I am "done" with that coin, I sell everything and move onto something else. I don't always do this and I have an exit strategy but more than other people, I tend to go all in on certain altcoins for a short period of time, and overall, this strategy has been very lucrative to me (much more so than HODL).
My whole bag of ALTs is mysteriously pumping more than 15% today - MATIC, GRT, ADA, TFUEL,FET,CRV,SUSHI... WOW just WOW!! What a wednesday :D

I'm running a THETA Edge Node on my laptop on light power mode with limited affect on performance, though I don't make much doing it. I only made about $1 in a month, or 3 TFUEL. Some people earn more though, since the jobs you get are apparently based on demand in your location, and as I live in Taiwan there's not much demand here.
I think RUNE and TFUEL was out on a bender recently and is still recovering...

Here are some other options that I also mention every time this comes up: - CoinHuntWorld to collect small amounts of BTC and ETH by playing a Pokemon Go like game. I think NANO has a similar game out. - Using brave browser to collect BAT - note you will only earn very small amount per month and definitely can't retire off this. - Commenting/posting on this sub to earn Moons. - Coinmarketcap earn (heard this can be a little janky) - Using your computer as an Edge Node for Theta Network to earn TFUEL while it's idle. - Watching content on Theta.tv for TFUEL (I think someone mentioned some stipulation about withdrawing TFUEL though). - Playing Lost Relics and selling in game items. I believe there's several other options for earning crypto that just require you to run something when your computer would otherwise be idle but can't recall names.

It blows my mind that someone would put money into a meme coin before a legit project for example like $THETA or $TFUEL. DYOR is SO important.
Buying a bunch of ADA sub $0.20 was a pretty smart move, as was THETA sub $0.50 - distinctly remember THETA getting to $1 and thinking it would have a massive rebound, missed opportunity! Best was buying a bunch of TFUEL to stake last year on my node - even at today’s prices it’s still over 10x what I paid for it less than a year ago, at ATH I was at over 20x!

I sent my THETA/TFUEL tokens to Metamask and they are not displaying there. THETA and TFUEL are not ERC20 tokens, they are native tokens on Theta blockchain. The tokens you sent actually went to the equivalent address on Theta blockchain. To access them, use the Metamask private key to open that address in the Theta web wallet. This can be exported from Metamask settings. It must be the Metamask private key, not the seed phrase. Looks like I can use MetaMask possible?
Thank you for the well thought out response. I appreciate you taking the time to break it down for me and explain it. I am however still questioning the need for a blockchain with its own coin and also a separate token riding that coin. I know, I know... Everyone always says "decentralization". From my point of view, as an outsider looking in, I don't see a need for decentralization though. I only see a need for distributed streaming. In fact, I see it becoming unnecessarily complicated by making it decentralized. I'm also questioning other users storing content and using their bandwidth to share data. That can and will put an average or normal person at extreme risk of having their equipment confiscated, homes raided, and even jail time due to not knowing what content is being stored or transferred from their computers and network. Neither regular people nor corporations aren't allowed to simply say, "Oh I didn't know that content was illegal". I've been able to see that TFUEL was created and distributed to THETA owners at a 5:1 ratio with a maximum of 5 billion TFUEL and a maximum of 1 billion THETA. However, I have not yet been able to find out how much Theta Labs, Sliver TV, or any of the creators of Theta are holding though...
If what you're saying is true, then the value of THETA and TFUEL are both useless and will go to zero as there is no adoption need from the masses. Also, why would a corporation or website pay a 3rd party to store and re-transmit videos, etc when they can just put something into their terms of service? Example: YouTube - Add a little disclaimer on their website that once you view one of their videos, it may reside in cache on your machine for x amount of days, hours, or minutes. Then if someone in that region attempts to view the same video, just redirect the new request to the cached download. Once again, why is a blockchain even needed to do this "distributed" sharing of videos?
Why does this "amazing" technology even need to be in a blockchain? Microsoft has already been doing this exact same thing for many years now with updates/patching. - So instead of Microsoft footing the bill for massive bandwidth usage and storage costs, they have your Windows device automatically setup to use machines closer to you so the cost is on the unknowing sucker instead. So here we are with THETA, not only literally copying already in-use technology (and patents), but they are also making it confusing to use and learn THETA and TFUEL. The vast majority (99%) of people aren't going to read a massive white paper to try and get an understanding of something, nor are they going to mess around with learning how to use both tokens. On a side note... I've been following Digital Dave for years now on YouTube, and I love his content, but unfortunately think he is dead wrong on THETA's future.

I know that more and more TFUEL are generated ever year for staking rewards, so the amount of TFUEL in circulation will continue to grow each year, which will probably stop the price from going too high, whereas the THETA governance token is fixed to its max supply of 1 Billion coins and will never increase.
I guess I would need to look into the tokenomics of TFUEL. IF it is used for tipping then obv there will be high demand, which should guarantee that there is some catalyst for price appreciation unless the supply is set up in such a way that they intertidally mint lots of new token to prevent the price from going too high. Do you have any insight into the supply side on TFUEL?

To be honest, at the moment it seems like TFUEL is more useful, especially now that you can stake TFUEL, while THETA is more of a governance token as you said that is really most useful if you're running a Guardian Node, which most people aren't. Until recently you couldn't stake TFUEL, so THETA was more useful for staking, but recently the focus seems to have shifted to TFUEL short-term. Though this is mostly a short-term move to expand the network. The endgame still seems to be THETA, since TFUEL most likely won't go up on value as much compared to THETA as it is the tipping token and fuel for the network. At least that's my understanding.
What is the difference between G FUEL and TFUEL?
I am unclear on what the value of THETA is now that TFUEL exists. I know that TFUEL is the token that is used to pay for superchats or whatever on THETA, and would think that has more of a use case than THETA itself, which I would imagine is more of a governance token on the THETA network, but I'm sure I dont have the full picture. Can you elaborate a bit and explain what the value prop is between THETA and TFUEL?
THETA fuel, or TFUEL, is a separate token that acts as the fuel for the network. The network has two native tokens, THETA and TFUEL.
