I was diversified, but stock appreciation has led to massive positions in TSMC and Nvidia. While i don't sell to rebalance, I've been adding new positions to try to spread out out. I'm 55% in semiconductors so.. questionable how well that's going. I have a small position in RRX, my largest is currently Broadcom but that's been going sideways lately. So idk. I guess good to remember robots need chips too, and Jensen going on stage with robots probably validates that position
$RRX for actuators (Kollmorgen division). Japanese company called Harmonic Drive does them as well with an OTC ticker $HSYDF. $CGNX does visual input systems as well. Something to consider, though, is that not all bottlenecks are built the same. It’s about margin and a lot of these companies in robotics don’t have it from a manufacturing standpoint because of cyclicality, even with pricing power. The software stack is more likely to be where the margins expand in robotics. And that is still $NVDA to a large degree because of CUDA, but other edge compute names like $QCOM might be able to enter the space if they execute their pivot.
$RRX will be at the forefront of motors and actuator components when the robotics sector really kicks off, guess the question becomes, is it too early?
I'm not going to plug in any fresh buy orders before Monday comes around since I still need to observe the news headlines and see how the war in the Middle East continues to unfold, but amongst the several dozen watchlist names that I'd like to have, if I had to narrow it down to only a select few, I'd say that these are my first priority if the non-oil market stabilizes: ROK > PH > AME > RRX > LFUS > CMI > HUBB (in this order) Those are fresh additions on top of my other 300+ positions that I already have, which is already quite industrial-heavy.
Short SaaS, long sneaky robotics plays. NOVT and RRX are your sneaky robotics players that have deep ties in the industry. Humanoids will increasingly enter the conversation for both of them.
A lot of these Asian robotics stocks are going wild. Sneaky robotics plays are Novanta (NOVT) and Regal Rexnord (RRX). The components suppliers that power robotics, including humanoids. One of their distributors called Applied Industrial Technologies said recently that automation demand all of a sudden increased a bunch.
I have a robotics stock for everyone. It’s not just industrial robots but it also does medical robots. The name is Novanta and the ticker is NOVT. They supply all the key components. Another one is Regal Rexnord. The ticker is RRX. These are more component guys so the aren’t the actual robot makers, but their products power the robots.
For someone your age, 30 years is a better investment horizon. That being said, picking stocks is incredibly difficult to do, very hard to beat the indices. If I were you, I would put 80%-90% in $VOO, then pick a few stocks you have confidence in for the remaining 10%-20%. I personally am invested in robotics actuator hardware like $RRX and $RBC, but that’s just my personal guess. I also have $SOFI which is a bank that I use. It’s always good to think about growth of a company when picking a stock, so researching what you use all the time can be helpful.
You cant use RRX and LMT as comps. PLTR is not solely a defense company and it is not an established player in an established market. PLTR’s main market is AI software which has uses outside of just defense contracting. AI as a whole is still a developing market with insane growth potential. PLTR is still operating as a late stage startup which just achieved profitability, not a multi national conglomerate. SNOW is really the best company here and PLTR’s EPS is clearly something to consider when valuing. Additionally, most liabilities on PLTR’s balance sheet are deferred revenue
war in middle east calls on LMT RRX and NOC
Anyone here follow RRX? Started looking into them today, looks pretty interesting. Biggest red flag is their debt, but revenue growth recently seems to be really strong.
Regal Rexnord Corporation a name probably nobody has ever heard of. RRX (nyse) It may not be exactly what you are looking for but it's a little bit better quality company.
Here's a nice little tune for you regards to get your morning started: [Azúcar ft Leon Leiden X Mau Moctezuma (Audio Oficial) - YouTube](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZ3RRX7i_lQ)
Any idea what RRX stands for? I know trx and nrx
VXN has been higher. RRX has been higher. VIX has been higher. VVIX has been higher.
So, your gripe is with the company turning around fundamentally not with the one that is clearly overvalued when compared to its counterparts such as CINE and RRX. Good luck maybe you'll learn at some point.
