Yeah, that’s kind of what I like about it too. Even if the market gets hit, people are still going to fly and those planes still need to be maintained. I’m more curious about how much of that is already priced into SARO though. I’m pretty bullish on it, but I’m trying to find the holes in my thesis lol. Do you have a price target for SARO? Or anything about the company that makes you hesitant?

SARO (StandardAero) — anyone following this aerospace MRO play? I’ve been looking into StandardAero after its latest earnings and I’m increasingly interested in the company. The basic thesis: • Aircraft fleets are aging and airlines are keeping planes in service longer • More flight hours = more engine maintenance/MRO demand • Growing LEAP engine fleet could provide a long-term aftermarket opportunity • Q2 results showed strong revenue growth and record adjusted EBITDA margin • Management raised its 2026 outlook What I’m trying to figure out now is whether the current valuation already reflects most of that growth. I’m particularly interested in hearing from people who follow aerospace/MRO companies: 1. What do you think SARO is worth over the next 12–24 months? 2. How sustainable are the current margins? 3. How big is the LEAP opportunity actually likely to be for SARO? 4. How does SARO compare with AAR or other MRO businesses? 5. What’s the strongest bear case here? Full disclosure: I own SARO calls, so I’m obviously biased. I’m not looking to pump it — I’d actually like to hear why the thesis could be wrong. Curious what r/stocks thinks.

I've been researching SARO after Q2 earnings. What interests me is the combination of MRO demand, LEAP exposure and the recent margin expansion. I'm trying to figure out whether the current valuation already prices in most of that growth. How are you guys valuing it versus AAR or the OEM aftermarket businesses?

Consolidating and buying AMD, NVDA, 204m MCap, IONQ, SARO and 65m MCap. Was unsure if under 500m market cap applied to these discussions

Seems a lot changes from pre market to open. Saw like RDW flip, PSTG flip, same with SARO. Just really interesting. Also great day for imax so far lol. Brought that one up a few days ago as an interesting name.

Haven’t looked at the valuations in a second. SARO is interesting but going to be more of a play just on aerospace while something like CRS is that plus like other industries like defense and medical.  I’ll take a look later.  SARO did sell off a bit recently because of offering some senior notes, so some dilution.

Hey Scout not sure if you follow/care about trades by politicians but senator Mullin just bought a nice amount of the stock CRS, I just remember you mentioning it before, I was looking at the list of space stock you listed before thinking of picking up some SARO but wanted to see what you think is the cheapest of the bunch rn

That's what I'm thinking. Like I think FTAI is mainly a MRO. Funny enough, I bought up SARO a bit ago, might need to look into them again.

Thanks for the DD. Will strongly consider it. I saw another politician post recently about $SARO. Any opinion on that stock?

Don't own this company, but they do look interesting at least, $SARO. Looks like they IPO-ed last October. TTM PE is high, but forward looking isn't too terrible: [https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/saro/statistics/](https://stockanalysis.com/stocks/saro/statistics/) A description of the company: >SStandardAero is a leading independent, pure-play provider of aerospace engine aftermarket services for fixed and rotary wing aircraft, serving the commercial, military and business aviation end markets. StandardAero provides a comprehensive suite of critical, value-added aftermarket solutions, including scheduled and unscheduled engine maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as engine component repair – serving a crucial role in the engine aftermarket value chain, connecting engine original equipment manufacturers with aircraft operators through our aftermarket services, maintaining longstanding relationships with both. Here's the lastest earnings presentation: [https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/\_eb8efe3625f67df122858a119adc1567/standardaero/db/929/9562/pdf/SARO+-+Q1+2025+Earnings+Presentation+.pdf](https://d1io3yog0oux5.cloudfront.net/_eb8efe3625f67df122858a119adc1567/standardaero/db/929/9562/pdf/SARO+-+Q1+2025+Earnings+Presentation+.pdf) Thinking of opening a position, but recently bought a fair amount of aerospace plays.

StandardAero (SARO). A provider of MRO services for both commericial and military aerospace engines. With too many BA crises, theirs sales might go up and higher in 2025. Also Biotech stocks cause they make tons of money out of new drugs and nobody can control the price. Gross margin +70% is absoultely insane.

📮 Just FYI: A company called Standard Aero IPO'd today. Ticker is SARO. This is a company that has existed since 1911. They provide maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services for aircraft engines and components. Here's my logic: Given Boeing’s recent challenges and the increased scrutiny on their aircraft safety and quality, it would be logical for Boeing to enhance (or be forced to enhance) their maintenance and servicing strategies to regain public trust and improve operational reliability. Think about it. Wouldn't a company that's been around over a century bring in reassurance? It makes me wonder why they're becoming public now. Of course, I'm a short-term trader, but I'm offering this info in case someone wants to research further. Not necessarily to jump in now (unless you know how to manage wild IPOs), but to keep on a watchlist.
