Not a penny but SOGP. Great earnings, special cash dividend, could run to $40
Yessir, that was today’s. But there’s a clear pattern of these, always the same pattern and always Singapore. Huge list of them but SOGP is another that comes to mind somewhat recently. When these are flat flat flat and then break the trend on volume, saddle up
I am in as well, upside way bigger than downside when considering other stocks like $NBY and $SOGP. With a larger dividend too.
But what about recent cases like $NBY and $SOGP? $SOGP rose nearly 12x at its peak for a $1 dividend and $NBY rose 2x after pricing in dividend.
Wait and see for me. Sticks with $1 dividends have gone bonkers and done over 200% in a week, look at SOGP did on a smaller dividend. I think this is a potential double your value stock this week. And if it doesn’t move, you get a 25% profit for holding for a week. It’s the biggest can’t lose I’ve ever seen.
$UUU and $BGSF. Both have special dividend news out. UUU has a float under 2 million and is offering a $1 dividend per share. The current price is $5,95. BGSF has a float under 11 million and is offering a $2 dividend per share. The current price is $7.85 SOGP put out similar special dividend news and rose from the $3 zone to a high of over $36. I hope to see a similar move price action on UUU and BGSF over the next 2 weeks.

Refraining from commenting on SOGP (I don't know anything about it). This tells me the market is expecting some sort of binary event. Either the stock craters to 0, or it moons. Not my favorite type of setup. However by experience, these tickers usually are garbage stocks, and the expensive side, is the call side. Good luck.
Let me preface by saying I won't comment (much) on SOGP because this is worth for any puts at that price (IV, because yes IV is a way to show the price): buying puts with IV at 478% is basically buying a lottery ticket at $5000. At that level, the market is pricing daily swings so extreme that you would need limit-down type moves just to keep up. Unless realized vol comes in even higher than that (which is almost impossible to sustain), you are paying way more in premium than you can realistically make back. The danger is the IV crush: once the panic cools or the event is behind us, those puts implode in value even if the stock drifts lower. You end up right on direction, wrong on the math and your pnl bleeds... the worst combination ever. So the answer to when does it become profitable is simple: only when realized volatility > implied. At 478%, that bar is basically unreachable. You are not early, you are the last guy into the burning theater paying 10x for the fire extinguisher. If you want to gamble, fine. But understand you are not trading an edge: you are buying insurance after the house is already on fire. Good luck.

I'm all in with NBY. Not in it for the .80/share dividend, but the ride up to September 15th. I was going to invest in SOGP, but chickened out. I don't know how long the pump will last. If it continues through the 15th, I may consider after selling my NBY shares.

I'd be cautious about ANTE and SOGP. They've both been short squeezed pretty hard, especially SOGP. For ZEPP, the price action has been very sketchy since the start of July and it's since gone up nearly 2000%. The price looks super manipulated, and yet it still keeps running up
Didn't do GEG but I had the same rationale for it as SIG and and C3is (SIGG). Depressed sentiment and the potential for a surprise. You kind of have to have a couple of them on to catch any of them. Thanks on ANTE, ZEPP, and SOGP - will check them out.
Just saw your other comment. Did you end up going long on GEG? I didn't even think of it until I saw it exploding AH on ToS. Right now, not much except for irresponsibly large short positions on ANTE, ZEPP, and SOGP. Might play out, might blow up in my face

I see what you mean. So, from what you're saying, if you had bought puts on SOGP 6 hours ago for example - when the stock was still climbing towards its today peak of $16-and-change - the IV on those puts would have been higher, and so your profit margin if the puts printed in your favour some hours later, would be much greater. Is this correct?
What I meant to ask is, does this "500%IV" mean that it's not worth buying puts on SOGP, even if you feel that the stock is going to reverse course and plunge down? Is the IV percentage too high to make puts too expensive to buy?

So far today. I have not really done many plays. Bought some PYPD - sold for a loss cause am dumb. Now I am sitting on 1 share of OMH, SOGP, KNW, NRXP and 50 shares of KLTO and basically just letting all of them ride till market open then putting a 20% TSL on them all. Might make actual plays later but these are just fun for now Other than that.
