That's the expectation, but the popular talk is of the TALO🦅(🥭 always lashes out) vs TACO🌮 (🥭 always chickens out) trade. As 🌮 became more popular the 🦅side of the trade is coming as with the doubling of aluminum and steel tariffs over the weekend. Side ways sure, but the zig and zags might feel more like crashes and rallies imo

I have one very small position in oil stock at the moment, which I am -15% but only a 1.5k position. Like I stated before I have been playing it for well over a year, I am risk off for oil for now but I do believe if it continues to sell off, this will provide a great entry point on some oil stocks. PBR (Brazil) is offering a pretty decent price here and should be considered IMO. To note a few others, CPE, TALO. I am bullish on Copper stocks to be honest with this whole EV thing. They use substantially a lot more copper. This is a LONG play though which I believe will provide some nice returns. On the hiking, I still think we are in for at least a 25bp which may shock markets as it appears they think a pause is about to happen. Really? Inflation is still high and a huge problem. I haven't offloaded my EPV position yet so I will likely take profits off the table. I still think European markets are way over extended, FTSE near highs. I think taking profits is perhaps smart and if it dumps to get back in again. Inflation is pretty bad in Europe and if they turn dovish, inflation is heading to the moon which also doesn't bode well for markets!

I might end up with egg on my face this week, but why do some calls go for so much the day they expire -- hours before they expire? For context I've diligently sold covered calls on my energy stocks more or less with the breakeven price at my exit level. If the price goes beyond it + the premium I sold the contracts at, then it's a win-win for me. Point being I note that even on my random energy stocks ($CIVI, $TALO, $REPX) the call price will jump up even if we're not near the breakeven price. For my calls the breakeven price(s) would all be essentially CY2022 highs. My question then is why is there liquidity hours from expiration? Who's buying?

TALO, oil company, earnings will be huge. Analysts are lying about estimates to push shares lower before earnings. EPS 0.93 Qtr ending Jan 2022. That is you only change last qtrly report avg price of oil from 58.2 to 77.68. However, adding in yesterdays guidance of %70 increase in oil production. EPS 1.65 for Qtr ending Jan 2022. EPS of $1 or more gives a PE of 2. Price to book ratio of 1.19 makes this a buy out target. TALO an easy double at 9.90.

>week price target doesn't register with me; these aren't p what fuelrod said. Also, $CLNE just announced a big deal with BP and CVX. Some good price movement for them already, but I think they have room to run. They get a lot of revenue from tax credits that I'm gambling will remain with the Biden admin. Also, $TALO runs a small rigging shop, kinda like a sub contractor. They get a lot of notice on robinhood and seem to be in a correction right now. Might be worth the flyer as the price can move quickly with positive oil news. Keep in mind, energy is never a short-term play. I am super bullish on the economy and all my recent purchases in energy are 3-4 year plays.

have you looked into any oil stocks? im up 140% in the last 9 months on my oil stocks but some have still alot of upside from their Jan pre covid price Have a look at KOS and TALO KOS is just over $3 was around $6.5 before covid TALO is around $13 now but just got bad earnings from last year so should drop down today, before covid it was trading at $30 per share Many oil stocks have went past their pre covid price CDEV, SM, MTDR but these 2 are very undervalued still imo and should get back to pre covid price in the next 6-9 months Once vaccines get all rolled out, air travel begins, cruise, driving etc all that demand will be back and personally i see a pent up frustration from everyone so i can see travel industry booming in the next 6-9 months and oil going higher Im in 6 oil stocks and im not selling until early 2022 at earliest

No questioning your theory but oil is a grower this year. DEN, CRK, TALO, TRGP, QEP,HAL,GDP, FI, & WTI are all solid bets on green lines this year - these are at least passing their vendors. VET has earnings this week and is currently trading down about $10 from pre-pandemic levels. Oil is going to pop by this summer. I'm in DEN and wanting to get some calls on VET. I've been watching all these for a while and I'm kicking myself for not jumping on them 3-6 months ago.

For what it's worth, maybe stick to energy stocks? [https://finviz.com/groups.ashx](https://finviz.com/groups.ashx) This gives you an idea of what sectors are having success and what aren't. As you can tell, energy is the only somewhat stable sector. I can say that my two energy stocks that I bought last year (PVAC, TALO) have done marvelously the last few weeks. KOS---a penny stock that was in the 2.7s a couple weeks ago---was up to 3.63 earlier today. Energy sectors are recovering from the COVID lockdowns that tanked them 70%+ last year. See what sectors are having success. Check the graphs to see which are trending the right way. Check some fundamental analysis stats and make sure they don't have a balance sheet reporting coming up (unless you're 100% confident that it's gonna be great).

TALO up another 10% since I last looked at it and was like “if I buy in now it’ll dump for sure” 🤡 day for me

Q4 2020 not out until 3/10 tho and obviously many unknowns right now affecting potential oil plays, so we'll see. Probably a good call on ^VIX, I've been eyeballing VXX for that, but might wait for Reddit to dump their stimulus checks into the market first.
