No but he definitely was aware of it during it’s early stages & donated money to salary MIT DCI for crypto research and development for Bitcoin Core which includes Gavin Andresen, Wladimir van der Laan, and Cory Fields.

Bitcoin is decentralized and fungible money so you are going to have evil people use it just like they do with gold or fiat currency the same. >involved with potential funding as well. In 2015 DCI helped partially fund(many sources of donations supported DCI , not just epstein ) only 3 Bitcoin core devs out of the ~120 that existed working on core(thousands of devs work on Bitcoin wallets and other implementations than as well.) and there is no evidence any malicious code was introduced or that these 3 devs were aware Epstein was evil >another POS connected to it. We can't control who uses Bitcoin . The more important questions are if any devs visited that Island or knew about Epstein before making assumptions. Even than it says more about those individuals than bitcoin. The more important question is did any of their agendas effect Bitcoin in any way and I have yet to hear of any example. Seems like some people are concern trolling by creating a "moral panic" and Bitcoin is simply open source code that attracts all sorts of people ethical or not .

YOU should actually try reading the documents instead of posting hearsay for clickbait FUD and karma farming. There's no connection between Epstein and Satoshi, nor is there any evidence that Epstein even knew who Satoshi was. The documents reference discussions with "some of the founders of bitcoin" which suggests that he didn't know who the real creator or creators of Bitcoin were. > Documents reveal that Epstein, through donations to the MIT Media Lab, indirectly funded the Digital Currency Initiative (DCI), which became a paymaster for several Bitcoin Core developers after the Bitcoin Foundation collapsed in 2014. Note that word: Indirectly.

Here’s what’s happening: The biggest red flag is how close Epstein was to Bitcoin funding channels, and early development circles. Here are the main links. MIT Funding Epstein sent $850,000 to MIT between 2002 and 2017. Part of these funds supported the MIT Digital Currency Initiative, the group that paid Bitcoin Core developers during a funding crisis. Developer Connection: The DCI was paying people like Gavin Andresen and Wladimir van der Laan when the Bitcoin Foundation ran out of money. Epstein visited MIT nine times. He met staff privately. His name was hidden internally. They called him “Voldemort.” The Manhattan Meeting Emails show a meeting inside Epstein’s mansion with: Brock Pierce (early Bitcoin investor, co-founder of Tether) Larry Summers (former US Treasury Secretary) They discussed Bitcoin long before it became mainstream. Summers said Bitcoin had “opportunities,” but he worried about his reputation if the price collapsed. Steve Bannon Connection: In 2018 Epstein emailed Bannon asking how crypto taxes worked. He wanted advice on receiving coins, paying with coins, distributing coins, and avoiding campaign finance rules. Bannon replied “On it” and connected him to FEC experts and crypto veterans. Early Crypto Research: Epstein’s Amazon logs show he bought books on Bitcoin, Ethereum, blockchain, and negotiation strategy. This was in 2017, while he was trying to rebuild his network. These five links alone show Epstein had access to developers, regulators, politicians, donors, and early crypto investors. And none of this was public until now. The emails show: -MIT underreported the donations. -Epstein visited through back doors. -Meetings were not logged. -Senior MIT officials approved the money privately. -Bitcoin developers were funded during the same period. None of this proves Epstein controlled anything in Bitcoin. But it shows he was closer to the ecosystem than anyone imagined.

?? ??? There is **no conclusive evidence** that Jeffrey Epstein directly funded the official **Bitcoin Core** project or a distinct, separate Bitcoin project. However, the question relates to a complex and controversial area where Epstein had financial ties: * **MIT Media Lab and the Digital Currency Initiative (DCI):** Epstein made donations to the MIT Media Lab, which housed the Digital Currency Initiative (DCI). The DCI, founded by Joi Ito (who resigned after the revelations), played a role in supporting core Bitcoin developers, especially during a period of funding constraints for the Bitcoin Foundation in 2015. * **The controversy:** The connection raises questions about whether Epstein's money—indirectly through his donations to the Media Lab—found its way to the DCI and thus, to individuals working on Bitcoin. An MIT report noted that Joi Ito tried to conceal Epstein's financial contributions. * **Intrigue, not proof of direct funding:** While Epstein was reportedly "intrigued by bitcoin," and his donations went to the institution that housed DCI, there's no public evidence confirming he **directed** money specifically to fund the DCI's Bitcoin development work. * **Other Crypto-Political Schemes:** Reports also indicate that Epstein was exploring "opaque crypto-based funding structures" with Steve Bannon for a trans-Atlantic political movement, but these were schemes designed to evade regulatory scrutiny and were not related to funding the development of the Bitcoin protocol itself. **In summary:** The claim that Epstein funded *a* Bitcoin project is generally considered **unverified and potentially misleading**. His funds were connected to an institution (MIT Media Lab) that supported Bitcoin development (DCI), but a direct funding line to the Bitcoin Core project has not been proven.

TL;DR: Wake me up when there are any Epstein e-mail suggesting that a Bitcoin contributor gave a blowjob to Bill Clinton. I hate Bcash scammers as much as anyone with brains cells should but in this context "Bitcoin Core" is the correct name as they are referring to the main Bitcoin node implementation software and their contributors/devs. It still looks like a hit piece because this was known for years (link between Epstein and DCI) and was dug up by Bcashers shortly after the 2017 block size war as a talking point/conspiracy theory against Bitcoin. The reality is that rich people give money to all sorts of projects without any deep involvment in them, it's literally how fund raisers like Epstein build networks and get in positons where they can look like philanthropic individuals to convince other other richer people to give them more money. All the devs involved also say they has no idea of this relation and never met Epstein.

DCI was funding bitcoin core developers like bluematt back in 2019... you're misconstruing this to mean funding the development of bitcoin... no this money went to a fund to help pay full time bitcoin developers so they could continue working on bitcoin in a full time capacity

tldr; Emails released by the House Oversight Committee reveal that Jeffrey Epstein financed MIT's Digital Currency Initiative (DCI), which supported Bitcoin Core development. Former MIT Media Lab Director Joichi Ito used funds from Epstein and his associate Leon Black to establish DCI after the collapse of the Bitcoin Foundation. Ito resigned in 2019 following revelations of Epstein's donations. The emails highlight Epstein's influence in early cryptocurrency development and connections with figures like Leon Black and Brock Pierce. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; Kenya’s Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has concluded its investigation into Worldcoin, clearing the project of alleged wrongdoing related to the illegal gathering and transfer of sensitive personal data. The investigation's closure allows Worldcoin to resume operations in Kenya, provided it registers with the Registrar of Business Registry and obtains necessary licenses from the Data Protection Commission. Worldcoin, known for its iris scan program offering digital IDs and WLD tokens, had faced regulatory scrutiny before the suspension of its operations in August 2023 over data collection practices. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article.
