Yep bought Bonfire! The Devs one day said that they are no longer supporting it (AKA rug pull) and then said " hey we've got a new token if you're keen, it's called EMBR" they gave it a similar name and expected everyone to go again.
If you're looking for a real low-cap then take a look at EMBR (embr.org). They've got a good explainer on their site and it was enough for me to stick a bit in to see where it goes. Definitely fits the 'gamble' criteria though - it's a BSC token and we know the reputation they generally have.
Anyone remember BONFIRE? .. does anyone know their other thing EMBR? Been bag holding it for a year, idk if it's a scam or dead etc

EMBR is one that I'm still holding. Designed as an easy multi-chain exchange and development platform. As with any BSC-based project it could all go to zero, but with low market cap and an active team it fits your criteria as a potential moonshot.
EMBR. Absolutely a YOLO pick since it's BSC and low cap but team is active and communicating throughout the bear so it's in my portfolio and staked for the duration.
EMBR. It's got an uphill battle since it's on BSC but actually seems to have a team that's sticking around and steadily working through the bear market. As you say though: DYOR. Could go up in smoke before things materialize.
EMBR. It's a BSC token which automatically means the team is going to have a tough job convincing the majority of r/cc but they seem to be active during the bear market and are attempting to go chain agnostic. They may even resent being called a moonshot but it doesn't change the fact that if their market cap ever hits anything approaching its potential then I'm retiring.
The only one that I'm in on is 'EMBR'. Definitely has red flags in its origin story (coming off the back of a freaking Safemoon clone) but the devs are at least showing their work as they go. As with anything that hopes to have potential they're going multichain asap (Eth and probably an L2) so hopefully bounce from BSC or go chain agnostic if they're around for the next bull run. But, as evidenced by the majority of answers in this thread: they'll have an uphill battle to convince r/cc of legitimacy if they stick with Binance, even if they produce the goods with functionality.
woah....forgot i had some of that hahaha. was great how the devs just decided to be silently working on another project for months while hyping up bonfire, then dropped EMBR or whatever and the price sank over 50% in about an hour. good times. And those same dudes are still shilling the new project on twitter i believe.
I followed the hype into Bonfire. It 3x'd and I got really excited. Then it went down, traded sideways and I thought I'd HODL. I worried when went it went way down. Then one day the "devs" announced they were abandoning the project and starting a new one. They weren't going to airdrop our investment into the new EMBR token but still, we were encouraged to invest. So basically, we all got scammed by a sociopathic "team." Lesson learned. There is a reason BTC is now my biggest bag.

Bonfire wasn't a rug pull, at least not from the team that set up EMBR. They took over a coin that had been rugged and tried to turn it around but ultimately were trapped by limitations on what they could do with the contract. They told all holders that they would set up a new coin but couldn't give tokens to existing holders which did kinda suck, but then said we could be part of a private presale. As of right now, I have made back everything I put into that presale already just from the 10% they've released to us. I'm very confident I'll get back what I lost in bonfire too over the coming months. I was skeptical myself but I really do think they tried to play a bad hand as well as they could, and so far they're really delivering on this.
