#HUGE IMPROVEMENTS COMING TO ALGORAND Think incentives for the participation rewards AND... moving away from *RELAY* nodes!!! Yes, (centralized) relay nodes will be a thing of the past, folks! Moving to a peer-to-peer gossip network. Without sacrificing performance! https://x.com/AlgoFoundation/status/1702049369187308024?s=20
You still NEED RELAY NODES FOR CONENSUS. YOU ARE ONLY AS STRONG AS THE WEAKEST LINK. It doesn't matter if anyone can run participation nodes. >Also the Foundation will implement new relay nodes sometime in the future. And a lot of projects also claim they will implement something in the future and never do it.
The solution is already there and doesn't need *any* work or release timeline. If you give a shit about decentralization, censorship resistance and the future of Ethereum: # SHUT DOWN THE CENSORING FLASHBOTS RELAY But they won't because it's profitable.
No. 82% of RELAY blocks, not 82% of all blocks.
I might give it a shot, but will give it some time to see if anyone comments here with some good reasons not to. It would be a very simple change that even non programmers could probably submit. I think just one line of code in the policy.h file. See line 57 here: [https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/e4e201dfd9a9dbd8e22cac688dbbde16234cd937/src/policy/policy.h](https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/e4e201dfd9a9dbd8e22cac688dbbde16234cd937/src/policy/policy.h) Change `static constexpr unsigned int DEFAULT_MIN_RELAY_TX_FEE{1000};` to `static constexpr unsigned int DEFAULT_MIN_RELAY_TX_FEE{100};`
Interesting. Bitcoin 23.0 has `DEFAULT_MIN_RELAY_TX_FEE=1000`, which is in sats. I also think it would make more sense to lower that to 100 sats these days. I'm a bit confused. Does the default value mean normal transactions with 1 sat/vB aren't relayed by most nodes?
RELAY, small cap coin with a TON of potential. The future consists of a lot of ecosystems. There will be a lot of money in bridging services. It pumping hard today.
Did anyone look into $RELAY? Looks promising. Interoperability
