There are two pieces of legislation that could at least move out of the House. The Senate is a whole different issue but both sides have seen this become a popular topic for both younger people and those who do not vote as much/as often. Passing something in the House that is vague but does not do anything is a possibility. The biggest bill they could try to pass has not come out yet but would need to be marked up and passed out of the Financial Services Committee in the next two weeks to be handled before mid-terms. That legislation is designed around Stablecoins and what protections would be in place. The other is H.R. 8086 which I linked [here](https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-congress/house-bill/8065/text?q=%7B%22search%22%3A%22waltz%22%7D&r=19&s=1) which really does not do too much and comes out of the SST Committee with bipartisan support. ​ Besides those two bills, I wouldn't expect to see much actual legislation passed. The government as it is only has funding till the end of September before it runs out. October both chambers are out as it is the last chance of campaigning.

The Swiss Bridge will definitely help when it comes, but for short term: Coin Market Cap and CoinGecko have approved SSTs application, and will be listing SST on Tuesday of this week (01/04/22). Every exchange will eventually ask me for KYC. and I'm happy to comply because the UX on a CEX like binance is still ahead of any DEX. What I wish to see is for exchanges to do their job and reflect the actual AML policies check ups. Which include using the updated SST country list.

I'm from Sudan, which is on the SST list. But the sanctions were lifted last year. So now it's on the exchanges to update their policies.

I have a perspective on taxation. I think moving forward, taxation will be heavily based on the likes of SST and VATs. Meaning, it's taxation based on expenditures. Reason being factors such as the encouragement of the unbanked; &amp; rising difficulties on taxing capital gain/income tax- to just name a couple.
