TTN is 2017 fud. It was a funny lie to prevent people from buying link. The token is needed as payment to transfer data and to stake as collateral. The token is needed because i need it.

Can’t fully parse what you’re saying here. There is an API where a device maker can send and receive messages to their devices via Sidewalk. Is that what you mean by “out” connection? This is analogous to TTN (and LoRaWAN) where you connect to the public network via MQTT and can send and receive messages to devices you own (and have the private key for). Sure, Amazon could go out of business or something. Same goes for any individual device maker. That is a risk inherent with every product you buy. Sky is blue, water is wet. Things are things and bits are bits.

Bluetooth and/or Wifi don’t have the range and coverage, hence Sidewalk’s use of 900 MHz FSK and LoRa. The whole point of Sidewalk is to blanket the entire US with long range, free, very low data rate (150 bits per second or so on average) coverage, competing with cell providers. I don’t know what you think Sidewalk is but it’s not Wifi. There are no DNS requests or IP addresses with Sidewalk. There is no IP protocol. Sidewalk is not the internet. Sidewalk is essentially a public LoRaWAN network, like TTN or the soon to be defunct Helium.

i run a lora gateway for free with TTN But i guess it's a good idea but without ponzinomics it's hard to get people to participate

I work in the IoT space and when everyone was bragging that their Helium gateways were making them loads of money, I knew someone was fishy. Doesn’t stop the company I work for with partnering with Helium. In general, IoT feels like a bunch of grifters selling each other on the next stupid idea, outside for a select few with great projects (TTN always seemed legit).

I’ve always seen helium extremely sceptically since I first heard about it. The main reason for that is that it’s trying to commercialize a network infrastructure very similar to The Things Network which is free to use and operated by its users. TTN works quite well and every user can run their own gateway connected to the public network or even run their own network server and peer with TTN. Then I’m not sure how a peer-verified coverage-based financial incentive to run a node does anything to help actually improve network coverage. Doesn’t that just lead to clusters of extremely good coverage with massive dead zones between them to maximize profit since gateways that are out of range of any other gateway never get paid?

Titan coin TTN

It's a rail company in Europe. We use train stations for the locations if needed but most of the areas are already covered. Currently running on TTN but switching to Helium now that coverage is there (and MUCH better than TTN which is down a lot).

It wasn't a rug pull though from what I know about it. It was a combination of people finding out how to mint unlimited TTN along with its nature as a stable coin trying to balance itself out. Turned into a sort of infinite crash loop where everyone lost.

Is it just a coincidence that TTN (TITAN) is up 1000% last day? Or do people buy TTN, thinking it is the one that crashed? Or am I missing something?

Big lessons learned here. I simply lucked into the wrong thing at precisely the wrong time. After midnight US time last night (that's typically when I do any crypto transactions), I was about to go to bed but got a notification about some additional funds being available to withdraw so I started looking into pools. Was actually looking at an ADDY pool at first and in doing my research, found the Adamant site which sounded like a great idea. I saw it had a penalty if withdrawing within the first 3 days so I decided to try out a couple of pools there for 3 days and see how it worked. So instead of putting liquidity into the ADDY pool, I looked on Adamant for high APYs. The numbers were of course staggering. I had been sitting in a WMATIC/USDC pool which was finally in the black so I moved that into the USDC/IRON pool - two stablecoins has to be less risky right? Then I took the newly available funds and put them into the MATIC/TITAN pool. I did a quick search on TITAN and the price chart looked strange but with a really low price. Turns out I was looking at TTN coin rather than TITAN - google was not my friend when I typed in "TITAN crypto chart". What I saw didn't have big swings and seemed to be more likely to go up than down (which causes less IL) so I went ahead and transacted then went to bed. I did notice that the balance of TITAN/MATIC seemed to be off but didn't think to question it further since I was tired. Had a busy day planned so had very little time to look during the day. Saw this morning that my new stablecoin pools were about flat and that the TITAN pool was down about 30%. I'll have to check back on it later when I have more time. Got my things done, spent time with my kids, watched some TV and was falling asleep. I guess I'll check how things are doing before turning in...boy was I in for a surprise. Painful lesson - invested too much all at once in things that were correlated (even though I didn't realize it). Wiped out my minimal gains and then some. Bought 3/4 of a billion TITAN on a lark tonight because why not...

Too bad your subject line makes no sense. Titan coin is TTN. TIT is the ticker symbol for Titcoin, which is not the subject of a recent rug pull.
