Ya, my GGPIW was a smaller position and it was right to hold as I had kind of kissed it away in my mind. There was a great deal of FUD on the merger and if I had held even another three days it would’ve been nice for an additional 15%. With the units. You are food. Go ahead and split them up if you get tired of inactivity. Then you can fart around with the warrants and preserve the capital in your commons. Sometimes making no sudden moves is hard, but a good choice. I think you will be ok. Just trust your instincts. Good luck. Also, BTW, when I say I have those large positions it means I had 30-40% of my total accounts in that one ticker. So there’s that folly. Stay strong 💪
Well, depends if you see a better place to deploy the capital. I held my GGPIW through merger and made back 70% of my original stake. I was wrestling with capitulation often. The units are probably ok but with warrants it depends how many you have and if you are ok with losing 80-90% of your stake and you have a better place to deploy the remaining capital and time. You need time. My biggest capitulation was $19 thousand dollars worth of ZNTE warrants. If I had held another 16 months I could have changed that equation substantially. But I would have missed out on all my ability to go in for $25k on $DNA through merger. Spacs were hotter back in September thru November. But it is an example of how one can make the capital work elsewhere and simultaneously how holding could get you to a 25% loss rather than a 70-80% loss. Three variables: time, better place to deploy what remains, and size of your position. Counterintuitive is the fact that the bigger the position the better the odds favoring your capitulation is a good choice. It is hard to decide.
I never really bought GGPIW. Must be somebody else. I did do pretty well on GGR warrants though. I think GGPI will do ok if the market holds. I'm not a fan of the valuation and i wouldn't personally want to bet on it holding long term. But i feel the same way about Tesla and the bears lost on that one (at least until this year)

I closed my GGPIW position. They just don’t have the same cash to burn as my other bags, I mean longer term holds. I took profits from my garbage off the top. If this rally holds, I will continue to peel off gains every day. Exited MSTR at $188. If I hit 15%, it is fair game for closing the play these days. Elsewhere SAI was a Silver Sponsor of the EURO Heat and Power Conference in Brussels. Very smart way to get a foot into district level policy, research, and industry circles for partnerships.

Whelp. Apparently we are and were in a recession. Thanks Switzerland 🇨🇭 for the confirmation. I think we’ll see some opportunities later this summer. Only things that filled for me this week were those MSTR shares premarket on Tuesday. I am sure that my GGPIW are still not worth either dumping or adding. Just watching that little tranche withering. Eventually I will double it. Inured to the red at this point. ✊🤡

Been working remotely in Eastern Europe and it is weird to function from 2-3 am in the dark here in Florida. Unfortunately, it gives me time to think and your comment really resonated with me. My current sadness is over my GGPIW. I bought too high, and I know it will tank in this environment. Owning warrants you paid 3 bucks for is stupid when you can just buy commons close to that soon enough. I think it really is sad. I don’t even have that many, I just hoped to hold a couple hundred for the long term. It is not good when even companies I like, I look at every day over coffee and know the sensible thing is to jettison it and take the loss. It isn’t the loss that makes me sad, it is the futility I feel that my vote of confidence wouldn’t make a difference.
Spent the late afternoon reading and voting all my proxies. GGPIW special conversion is fine and otherwise it was boring. DNA -nothing interesting. Hopefully they have something more special planned for June 10th. 😕
I am coming back and I did DCA finally on a few large positions mid week. I am holding almost all warrants or rights. The only thing not improving or staying sideways is GGPIW. But it is a small position that I will hold for exposure to the sector for medium term goals. I have tried to look at my holdings as a distribution in different sectors. But I have avoided (consciously or not) fin tech and retail. I am convinced that there have been some amazing buys. It is good to hear about your positive outlook and performance. I suspect that your port has more tickers than mine and is a much larger size. I have a great deal of respect for your contributions to the sub and your assiduously logical approach. If you are experiencing a good bounce it bodes well and the rest of us might not be far behind, provided we have a decent fraction of your diversification.
GGPIW is my only ticker red. That’s ok. I am willing to keep holding that bag. Kinda bittersweet to be up close to 3% on the day as a majority SPAC trader. I feel like I am waiting for the dead cat bounce and it is not a worry free moment of glory. Imma gonna need ‘bout a month of days like this. Or maybe like ten days to really be not looking over my shoulder for the sledgehammer and beat down. Shake it off and enjoy your weekend! Summer is here!

I started some small positions in commons I have always liked. Just some set and forget baby entries bought with a little lunch money. PL and ORGN. I wouldn’t mind some ASTS. But not there yet. I finally entered my beat down list, with the DMS warrants and I am still eyes on SNAX commons but think I can wait. I still like my GGPIW. Now instead of misery "oh no, my port," I'm now snarling, "yeah I double dog dare you to go down further you garbage spac BWACW, go on, hit my stink bid 31 cents" and "You snotty GGPIW, I remember when I bought you at 2.40 and sold at 6.30, get back down here so I can flip you again!"
What I have scalped today: $SLDPW, $IGACW, $BOXDW, $GGPIW, $KINZW, $DUNEW, $INKAW, $OCAW. And just grabbed some $SOFI.

Your plan to look into whether warrants trading at a premium predicts post-merger success is fascinating and I would love to see the data if you pursue this. Other lines of inquiry that seem interesting are: 1. Is premium paid for warrants a function of predictive success or a function of market liquidity? For example, I have seen warrants with wide bid/ask spreads of 15c or 20c which makes up a significant portion of any premium paid for < $2 warrants. 2. Is premium paid for warrants driven by retail buying or institutional buying? While institutional buying is always guesswork due to lack of reporting, using a proxy such as quantity of warrants purchased at one time (e.g. someone buys 100,000 warrants). 3. For warrants with a premium, does the premium ratio sustain as the price of the underlying increases and if not what are common divergence price points? (example: DWAC warrant held its value well, but as DWAC underlying advanced in price, the warrant to common value relationship broke down with the warrant trading at a discount to underlying. Will the same happen to GGPIW where there is a premium as of today, but if GGPI's price increases beyond $20 or $30 will that premium relationship sustain?)
Primarily spac warrants. Currently have all my money in DCRCW and GGPIW.
GGPIW, DCRCW, and DMYQW are among those DA spacs whose warrants are trading similarly to our greater than the relative expectation of a despac warrant. Something I plan on looking further into is whether DA warrants trading at a premium actually means the commons will do well post merger.

Thought I'd give everyone a laugh and post my set it and forget plays that I trimmed to last 10 days-week to focus 100% on the house thing. This idiot sold their IONQ warrants, but still got out with some profit before it mooned. Obligatory thanks for your sacrifice. Ah I'll get back back in. Elsewhere, of course there is the $DNA and $DNAW, just about 25% less from those spikes and exit bot sells. Still in the MEKA, even though you guys think it is a waste to park cash there cause it is so new and won't have a DA for a while. I won't bore you too much with it, but a wealthy master gardener had it before me. The sheer number of butterflies landing on my shoulder, told me I should buy it. 8 species of bamboo, two water gardens, three species of heliconia, the finest collection of bromeliads I have ever seen, an avocado tree two stories tall, loquats, key limes, black sapote, mango, papaya, pomegranite, white bird of paradise trees that are 60 years old, if you're familiar with all the traveling palms in Singapore, the white bird of paradise palm is pretty spectacular and a cousin. So many orchids wired into every crux of every branch I could not believe it. So many ferns as sweet, delicate punctuation, and some interesting cacti and succulents, seriously a plant museum. The cool thing is it is pretty maintenance free, because he was smart and understood how to design it. A monumental flowering [Kapok](https://media.gettyimages.com/photos/the-great-kapok-tree-picture-id544762945) with thorny bark, is one of the rarest I seen, currently covered in blooms. TL:DR Who cares what the house looks like, I bought a garden ;D

No. You may miss a pump but if its long term hold, then answer is no - the merger is 6+ months away. Thats an awful long time and a winter may come. I am interested in GGPIW - but being burnt back earlier this year I am not touching these above 1.60-1.70. I may start building a position at those levels with target average of 1.40 or so. Its dead money for long, unless you want to swing it then no one can predict PR or any other pump. Another thing to note is when SPACs are beaten down a lot - you may see odd GGPIW sell walls when warrants drop. It could be whales exiting or margin calls but you could see it with other SPACs - so if its down a lot and you see a sell wall - 20K + volume on the sell side - could be a good time to dip toes in.
I just got some. Flipped some GGPIW into those and TPGY in my wife’s Roth.
If I hadnt lost so much in the last warrant downturn Id prolly be yoloed into the GGPIW but I got more conservative so I swapped to 7.50 for the risk management. If the deal gets done the warrants will almost certainly out perform me
