Nice write up and congrats on MASSIVE gains! Regarding 2022: "I feel like at \~$3M, I have much less incentive to take on much risk." - this is certainly quite interesting. I feel like the larger your portfolio gets, the less you can afford to YOLO on weird stuff. It becomes a capital preservation game as much as a chasing-high-returns one. Thankfully, I feel there is plenty of great risk/reward stuff in SPAC land due to NAV - even something simple as buying a crap load of DMYQ before merger, trimming at 5-10% under the thesis that they will pump the stock to minimize redemptions (happened with IONQ as well), and just redeeming if it doesn't work out. Slow and steady wins the race!
I am a bot from /r/wallstreetbets. You submitted one or more banned tickers: ORGS DMYQ. Message /u/zjz if they're above 1.5 billion-ish market cap and not related to crypto/pennies/OTC.
You do you homie- but I’m not gonna jump into a SPAC that barely anyone has heard about after a 50% run when absolute gems like PPGH, FPAC and DMYQ sit at NAV.
That was my plan to sell DCRC DMYQ and move to GENI
So funny how when I post about DMYQ/PL it gets downvoted to oblivion..
DMYQ was the old ticker. As of 8 o’clock eastern standard time, the ticker changed to $PL.
I have big exposure to DMYQ too, but that was def intentional . I like the price action today honestly. Steady upward movement for 2 days in a row
Very pleased with DMYQ/PL price action the past couple days
So I owned 120 shares of DMYQ with Fidelity, but today the ticker is showing up as 23344K rather than PL. And it appears I can not trade it. Does anyone know if my shares will convert today?
Crap, I just realized I have 8% of my port in DMYQ Planet. I mean it isn't bad, I just thought I had more of a baby position. Must have been adding in my sleep. lol. GLTA.
[Steve Jurvetson on Twitter regarding DMYQ/Planet](https://twitter.com/FutureJurvetson/status/1465747069621051392): "I will never sell a share, ever. This is a forever HODL for me. Founder-led mission-driven company, for the good of the planet." This guy was one of the early SpaceX investors too. Just thought this was amusing.
DMYQ is changing over to PL tomorrow. I’ll buy more if it drops at all before it spikes!
DCRC and DMYQ up 8 and 13.7% today. Amazing.

Also I stared my 20k to 100k to 2k journey. 85 DMYQ April 10s. This way, I’m right either way I might end up just skipping the middle step
DMYQ is looking solid heading into ticker change.
Watching all the green in the market and I’m holding DMYQ aprils up 1%. Godddammit
If DCRC could go to like 30 and DMYQ could go to like 35 I wouldn’t be as miserable. Can’t say I’d be happy cuz I’m sure I can find something to complain about but shiieet I’ll take it.
Told myself I would never hold through merger again, but here I am planning to hold DMYQ/PL through the merger. 🤡

Anyone know what day DMYQ/PL ticker change is?
I am a bot. You submitted a picture of a banned ticker, DMYQ. This check will fire if you included unnecessary pictures that have bad phrases or a bad crop with news about cryptocoins, for example. Repost with the useless pictures omitted if you did that. Yell at /u/zjz if it's above 1.5 billion-ish market cap and not related to crypto/pennies/OTC/SPACs.
Besides the macro stuff Im mostly interested to see what happenes with DMYQ this week.
Full disclosure: I am a huge bull on $DMYQ, soon to be $PL, and got in at initial SPAC offering. I feel like this is a good post, but it really does not mention any of the positives the CEO of Planet has discussed in his public appearances. 1) It is the first and only product of it's kind, aka, it has a fleet of 180+ satellites with constant improvements and additions to their fleet(see [Pelican & Fusion](https://www.planet.com/pulse/planet-introduces-new-high-resolution-pelican-satellites-and-fusion-with-sar/) fleet). Comparing it to BlackSky does not make much sense to me, other than the fact that they are both micro-satellite companies. Side note: The Pelican & Fusion fleets link addresses the point of yours where you mention information is lost/analysis becomes meaningless when there are clouds, well, SAR(synthetic aperture radar) is a radar that sees through clouds and maintains a steady stream of information despite of weather related obfuscations. 2) They are striving to provide analytics of the imagery directly to customers in the supply chain space(the CEO calls it the "bloomberg terminal for earth imagery"). Supply chain analysis is performed by private companies to measure the rate of supply as it pertains to demand. In the example you mentioned re: Chinese tankers, I don't understand why Planet cared about your use case, because there have been independent [explorations](https://towardsdatascience.com/oil-storage-tanks-volume-occupancy-on-satellite-imagery-using-yolov3-3cf251362d9d) where oil depots have been analyzed using their imagery, because from what I understand, once you buy the data, you can do with it as you please. 3) Maybe right now there is not a massive demand for satellite imagery(for smaller players), because nothing at this scale and resolution(both spatial and temporal) has ever existed, but considering the amount of research being done in the space(1 research paper every 18hrs, I heard it on a podcast where the CEO was being interviewed), [FREE](https://www.planet.com/markets/education-and-research/) access to all of Planet's data for academic researchers, and cutting edge algorithms being developed specifically for earth imagery, I don't find it far fetched that such imagery becomes vital for a lot of businesses, and honestly I can see spaces from Agriculture, to environmental monitoring to even the financial industry utilizing satellite data for monitoring of world events so that they can be ahead of the curve and freaking BANK from the analysis of said data. 4) You mentioned the issue of resolution for certain use cases - drones would be good for some hyper-local use cases where cm level accuracy is of the essence, but with commissioning drone companies for a temporal analysis for large swaths of land can get expensive very quickly, and might not be economically viable for industries with thin profit margins. Also, I don't know what spectral indices you are talking about that planet does not have, but performing NDVI analysis(Normalized Difference Vegetation Index, which is typically used to asses crop quality and by extension better predict crop health and optimal harvest times) using the 4 bands they do provide is pretty trivial using planet imagery, and they [show](https://developers.planet.com/tutorials/calculate-ndvi/) how so. 5) This SPAC is backed by Google and Blackrock, and Google sold Planet their satellite arm - and Planet currently supplies Google Maps imagery data so that Google Maps can be updated because surprise, the world is constantly in flux, and with a good data pipeline and analytics, changes can be detected and updated on the fly within invaluable apps like Google Maps, and by extension apps like Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, etc. Not to mention that if Google Maps has had success with this, what is to stop other Maps/Geospatial based startups to come to life, because keep in mind, Planet captures 25TB of data on the daily, and deriving insight from mounds of data is what we as entrepreneurial, inquisitive humans have historically done. People/companies WILL find use cases, because when we have been given data, we have always utilized it, and this is a LOT of raw, useful data begging to be utilized. 6) Their product where you can [task](https://www.planet.com/products/hi-res-monitoring/) a satellite for a specific use-case at 50cm resolution is also a way for individuals/organizations to cut through a lot of data pre-processing to retrieve very specific analytics ready imagery for an area of interest of their choice, at a time of their choosing. I encourage you all to read more about this offering. 7) This is not really related to any thesis, bear or bull, but the educational opportunity this provides, is huge! The way stories can be told about our ever changing world and truly visualize those changes and communicating them can also explode, and as a consequence we can all better visualize and understand events and the extents of those events. So here are some more future customers for you(educators, newsrooms, newspapers etc. They will be clamoring for this data, in my opinion). Fun fact BuzzFeed recently won a [pulitzer prize](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uPBFBrriRBw) for detecting uighur camps in China. Guess where the imagery they used came from? Good luck with this bearish thesis, but I am and staying balls deep in this thing!
I wouldn’t be so sure , and if it does post merger dip i don’t think it will go down for very long . Im holding thru and ready to add. This depends on your trading/investing timeline; mine varied ticker to ticker. But mostly long. Very bullish on PL as a long term hold honestly. A lot of these SPACs seem like vaporware or good companies with shit deals. DMYQ/PL appears to be neither.
DMYQ plummeting, see you at $8, I'll buy back then
Anyone else rolling the dic on DMYQ (Planet Labs)?
DMYQ. Like SEAH, warrants are too expensive so I'm buying commons. Sold Jan 12.5C on half of it; either get $9 CB or 25% return in 50 days. (like 150% annualized)

DMYQ trading sub 10 before ticker change tomorrow
Man, my post DA strategy is working out just like my pre DA one before. Made some money on DMYQ, then promptly lost it on others. Sure, it's just 2% risk, but it adds up if you go in heavy. I'm tired of making bad choices. Maybe I should just put it back into pre DA savings while I figure out how to put it into ETFs over the next 2 years or so.
Ok now investing in this market is very risky. The market is massively overbought. We could be for some 20% sell off in the S&P. My advice is to go with SPACS. They offer an asymmetric bet where there is zero risk and lots of gains to make. However this is true if you buy a SPAC at $10. These I will mention here have great outlook for at least 100% gain. CRZN, GLTA and DMYQ
I'm holding Warrants on DMYQ. I f they dip I'm adding more.
DMYQ with a strong finish on an ugly day.
Why did DMYQ pump from $10 to $11.75 in the last few weeks, was it a furu or furu's pumping? I'd rarely heard mention of this SPAC, then all of a sudden it was everywhere, but I just ignored it as I wasnt interested, but never understood why I kept seeing it all of a sudden.
When is the floor officially removed for DMYQ? Friday? Need to mentally prepare myself.
DMYQ getting options tomorrow and the strikes only go up to 12.5 🧐
When you buy DMYSWS or DMYQWS you are buying 1 whole warrant with similar terms. When buyers bought ipo DMYSU (1/2 W per U) or DMYQU (1/5 W per U) they got a different fraction of W per Unit. DMYQ ipo’d when spacs were hot and had to offer fewer sweeteners to raise money, DMYSU IPOd in the doldrums and offering a higher fractional warrant makes their ipo more attractive to buyers.
Rocket plays? Has to be Rocket Lab (RKLB) I’m only half joking. My current more serious high conviction highly speculative bet would actually be planet labs which is currently DMYQ (merger vote this Friday)
Guys check our DMYQ warrants. They are exploding higher 300% so far
DMYQ at 9.85 and the warrants at 3.43 seems criminal. Stock price has to go up after merger to justify that
Cant confirm but Twitter is saying DMYQ gets options tomorrow
DMYQ floor falls out tomorrow, right? Looking like it wants to drill.
Exactly my thoughts. Now need to decide if I exit DMYQ before floor removal!!
de-SPAC price action does not become fully indicative of the promise of the company for 6-8 months. So, if you have the stomach to hold and have a great cost basis, strong conviction, cash to add to your position if does tank, you might find a winner. IMO, DMYQ is one such winner. ORGN is another that has had a rougher road than most. Not my strategy, but many OGs take a very long view compared to a warrant flipper like myself. Respect. I think DMYQ is worthy of such a stance. Just my 2 cents.
DMYQ is the one to watch to see how the rest of this month's good-great mergers will go. Not looking promising so far, but still hoping for a RKLB/IONQ-style post-merge upswing.
So what you’re saying is that I will fall back to $10 just like DMYQ. Gotcha. Logic and value have no place in this market.
So… is anyone else considering using DMYS as a savings account? Is anyone else setting aside funds to buy DMYQ/PL if there is a post merger dip? Asking for a friend
>maps has been crushed Thats true, but its also true of almost any current spac that has despac in a similar sector. Do BKSY and spire mean holding DMYQ is a bad idea? maybe, to hold through despac for sure but I made fine money on it with its nav floor still intact.
Marketbeat has more recent stuff. https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/NYSE/DMYQ/institutional-ownership/
Booked losses in DMYQ. Hopefully MTTR makes up for it.
Any bets on how DMYQ plays out? Will it stay above $10 through the merger? Or dump to $7-8 after merging?
godammit DMYQ.... Whenever I take profits, it turns out I was in GGPI and miss out on a multibagger. When I hold, I hold from green to red like DMYQ.
DMYQ sell off way overdone imo.
Stop loss triggered on DMYQ. Will definitely wait until after merger now
I also feel that CFV warrants have good upside here, especially with DMYQ getting as much hype as it has. Satellogic unit economics are quite attractive.
Thanks for your thoughts. What's your price target for the Warrants? I have a DMYQ buyin at 1.8 and would catch in DMQS at maybe 1.25 or below
Stick to the ones with revenue and/or government contracts imo. I'm in Rocket Labs and DMYQ (Planet).
I personally am invested in planet labs $DMYQ and $RKLB. Rocket lab is more of a long shot due to competition. Planet labs has a safer position in the market, but they are both highly speculative.
Considering getting some DMYS/WS. How far do you guys think this will fall? Close to $1.00 like DMYQ at one point?
Insert plug here for DMYQ (planet labs)
Does anyone know the redemption date for DMYQ?
RKLB and DMYQ a rocket company and a earth observatory data company
Happy thanksgiving to everyone celebrating! I'm certainly grateful for this community. Looking forward to December mergers, especially CBAH and DMYQ but also curious to see how TPGS and DGNS perform.
DMYQ flatlined, quite suspicious price action, someone's accumulating, hm?
>i feel like spactickle makes his return this weekend for some reason adatausb returns. To remind us that once he said GENI was shit along with LCID MVST and 30 other spacs. And give his verdict on GGPI DCRC DMYQ CBAH SEAH
Sorry for the noob question, but this is my first SPAC. When they go public, do the DMYQ shares automatically convert to the new stock?
Which one of you bought 500 units of DMYQ at market price
DMYQ thought why not? Let’s drill to the earth’s core
I have this same question about DMYQ and DCRC lol
Need DMYQ and DCRN options
I got back into DMYQ. Strength is encouraging throughout the day. On the story/growth side, I’m speculating a partnership with NVDA based on the following: Jensen Huang said NVDA is going to build a “digital twin of earth” and they are “going to take data from satellites over the last 10 years”.
DMYQ’s presentation today (still going) is incredibly impressive. This isn’t my space and I’m certainly not an expert, but this really does parallel IONQ in a lot of ways despite being different industries. Really feel like this one takes off.
I had DMYT which went up 5x and DMYI/IONQ that went up a 1000%!! And I've already more than doubled on DMYQ. So it seems the DMYs are cakewalks for doubling. So I've put in a good amount at $1.70 yesterday on this one. But if there is a SPAC crash I will double down on it. That's what I did on DMYI and I racked up on it.
#Ban Bet Lost /u/RybosWorld (0/1) made a bet that DMYQ would go to 13.0625 when it was 10.45 and it did not, so they were banned for a week.
Someone else mentioned TWNT/WS ([Terran Orbital](https://washingtontechnology.com/articles/2021/11/01/terran-orbital-space-spac.aspx?m=1)). Sitting at $1.15 on the way down from their DA spike. I’ve been watching recently. Lockheed Martin backs them. No position yet personally, but if DMYQ is strong could be sympathy play. Satellogic (CFFVW) is also about to merge near $1 but doesn’t look as promising. Let me know what you think
DMYQ is taking Planet public. Planet is truly a once in a generation space play. Google and Marc Benioff are investors.
I manage $10m opm and have 400 investment letter members. I am buying SPIR and recommending it. [https://www.tradingview.com/x/SApWafSE/](https://www.tradingview.com/x/SApWafSE/) Due your own due diligence, but I think people are ignorant of the impact of the exactEarth merger. It's revs and growth are not in current SPIR quarterly and won't be added until deal closes in next several weeks (was approved by exactEarth a couple days ago). I see the entire space services basket, SPIR, BKSY, Planet (DMYQ for a few more days) and Satellogic (CFV for a little longer) as all having 5x to 20x upside, as well as, being takeover targets. JMHO.
STEM and DMYQ my only green spacs today. Solds SABS commons today, their E3 was not amazing, no big updates on pipeline either, buying if it reaches 9 again. RDW is a joke at this point, they need to announce earnings and get this shitshow over with.
DMYQ is so resilient today.
DMYQ is getting some serious block buys today, 7-ish market days from merger vote, I can really see this fly later this week. Meanwhile FTCV 🥴
$DMYQ planet labs y’all heard it here first
Assuming I'm bullish on DMYQ, do I buy the shares or the units?
>The last one was ALGR which liquidated in April 2020 and had a DA with TGI Fridays. I feel like it's a new epoch/era since SPCE/DKNG/NKLA. I'm very heavily in warrants, so I really am trying to keep tuned if things start to go south. But so far, I'm not seeing much. Yesterday's news doesn't faze me. Now, I've been getting a few more commons for things like DMYQ when I couldn't ever get cheap warrants, but I feel like one of the ways I'm coming out ahead is that the market is still pricing failure risk into the warrants, and I'm not. In fact, dissolving isn't even the worst outcome, because you can see it coming. A high profile deal, with warrants over $2, would be worse. Like for example, polestar or Trump pulling out.
