Just my $0.02 from working for a few private ones that swap subcontracting with some of the biggest like ACM and AMTM: Even the publicly traded companies have more contracts going on than you will ever be notified of as an investor. A lot of them have classified contracts that will simply be reported as a lump sum line item with no explanation, and that’s the only information you will ever get. As a result; they are difficult AF to value based on intrinsic value or even fundamentals. You just have to be confident in the fact that they have massive black budget moats. Personally would t recommend it too much unless you are in an adjacent industry where you can glean inside info about them every once in a while.

Allied Critical Minerals, quoted in Toronto, mines Tungsten in Portugal. ACM. I would love to own the stock personally, which has performed great, but one of my clients has hundreds of thousands of shares, so i am prohibited from purchasing it myself. Its an interesting warrants play. Their finances are borderline dire. But the NVDA is a vote of confidence. Their new product goes on sale in Q3. So thats the earliest their finances can improve unless the NVDA pays them upfront for the early 2028 delivery. If i had to guess, i would say they will dilute to raise cash to make it to 2028. They already borrowed $100m from ACM in senior convertible notes, so ACM are likely short the stock while they pick up 4.75% for seven years. The warrants are 2030 expiry. I am planning to keep an eye on them when the stock is next under pressure.

The only stock I’m considering buying related to this is [AECOM](https://aecom.com) (ACM) and [Amentum](https://www.amentum.com) (AMTM) They are *the* giants of this type of infrastructure work, Amentum used to be part of AECOM’s services division. They literally run their own air freight, ship freight, construction, staffing, and heck, even a PMC. Other firms have bits and pieces of the equation, whether that is the transportation, construction, oil experience, or security. Only ACM and AMTM have all of these as integrated services, not to mention their experiences from operating in hostile areas like Afghanistan and Iraq.

I am watching a few that I believe have significant potential: - Invinity Energy Systems (LON: $IES, $IESVF in US). - Qfin Holdings ($QFIN) looks like deep value - ACM Research ($ACMR); crazy valuation mismatch between US-listed name and its counterpart, ACM Shanghai which is 90% owned by ACMR. - Flour ($FLR)

r/investingSee Comment

Qifu technology - Financial services. Ridiculously low PE ratio, increasing margins and plans to buy 30% of own stocks in the coming 3 years. High Tide - Marihuana retailer. Also cheap valuation metrics (P/S ratio in this case as they are break-even). They are devouring competitors in Canada while being cash flow positive and are in the best position for the next marihuana rally. Analysts and industry experts say is massively undervalued. I have others like NTG Clarity or ACM Research that seem to be cheap and under the radar (in NTG's case due to size as is a micro cap).

Mentions:#ACM
r/stocksSee Comment

Nothing cheap and risk free, but here are my 5 favorite stocks in terms of risk-reward: NTG Clarity - Under the radar Canadian SaaS microcap with 65%+ revenue growth, profit making and with a good case to continue growing. Real possibilities to compound returns at their current prices if they continuen executing well their unorthodox business model: serving Saudi Arabian market from Egypt. They are diluting a bit stock ownership but without destroying shareholder value given their growth. Good risk-reward mix. High Tide Inc - Well positioned for the next marijuana rally, but may requiere patience (probably next industry rally Will not occurr until marijuana rescheduling in USA, which may only be feasible post-Trump). They are dominating the retail marijuana network in Canada and are currently priced quite cheap in terms of PS ratio. ACM Research - Growth + profitable + well priced + industry niche with potential. Main issue is the legal risk related to the fact that they are chinese. Qifu Tech. Ridiculously cheap in terms of pe ratio + very agressive buyback program. They struggled with revenue growth last years but the buyback program + increased margins are still generating shareholder value. Pays dividends. Also Chinese as main con. Block - Reasonably priced at last. If they manage to continue growing despite the current business and macro challenges they can multiply in 2-3 years if bought at current prices (around 60 USD)

Without details, it’s going to be difficult for anyone to give you any meaningful feedback on how you can improve your trading. You traded ACM? Great. What expiration, what strike. Call or put? When were you trying to sell it? Should be easy enough to pull up the historical quotes to discuss what the bid/ask was at the time you weee trying to trade

Mentions:#ACM
r/optionsSee Comment

You can think of each strike in each expiration as it's own market. ACM stock might have high volume, but you have to look at volume on each strike for each expiration that you trade. Generally speaking, if a strike goes ITM or even around the money then volume will pick up. Volume typically picks up as expiration approaches. Just at a glance ACM looks like a very weak for options volume. In a low volume market like this, the market maker is likely be the only who quoting. They'll quote wide since it makes it higher risk for them too. -- The best you can do in a situation like this, is put a limit order in at what you want to trade and hope someone picks it up.

https://www.linkedin.com/posts/michael-brabner-17b124253_what-we-have-here-is-a-tiny-but-mighty-system-activity-7288546347203362817-6AEk From Michael Brabner, Air Branch Chief US Army, some 2 days ago: What we have here is a tiny but mighty system that’s been paired with a Short Range Reconnaissance Tranches 2, Red Cat Teal Black Widow. Many may not know what it is. Let me explain how this Army, first of its kind, lethal Modular Mission Payload (MMP) helped change the sUAS culture for the better. In the summer of 2022, after watching events in Ukraine and Russia begin to unfold, we came up with a white board concept for a “dropper” that could safely carry and air drop anything that was organically carried in a Rifle platoon. Fragmentation grenades, training grenades, smoke grenades, flash bangs, and incendiary grenades. We took that concept to DEVCOM Armaments Center and some good friends, Russ Labar, Matt Brauer, and Kendall Mills, and they took our concept and created the first AUDIBLE which stands for Armamnet Delivered Immediate Battlefield Lethal Effects. Needless to say we did our first inert M69 drop at Fort Moore, GA on 5 Dec 2022. A pretty quick flash-to-bang. Many laughed at us, many cracked jokes, and it didn’t phase us one bit. I put a proposal in for AUDIBLE with PEO Soldier for $2M and it got funding approval. The biggest Soldier Enhancement Program proposal award to date. Then we found a champion in the 18th Airborne Corps’ Commanding General and COL Matthew Elliot who dared to be different and challenge the status quo. Their Soldiers and sUAS operators mitigated risks, took the initiative, and in the winter of 2022 the U.S. Army was dropping their first M67 fragmentation grenades from SRR Tranche 1 program of record systems. We blew a couple up in the process. You have to crack eggs to make omelettes…. 🍳 that’s what it takes. We continued to experiment with AUDIBLE. DEVCOM AC continued to innovate with the design. They got it passed through the safety and fuze boards at Picatinny Arsenal and in 2024 we fielded systems to the four divisions of the 18th Airborne Corps and the 75th Ranger Regiment. Monumental accomplishment in the face of adversity and many haters. They can all eat crow 🐦‍⬛ now. We took it a few steps further. We codified AUDIBLE in our emerging requirements, it’s real now. Fast forward through 2024 and into 2025 and we now have PEO Aviation’s PM UAS teamed with JPEO Armaments and Ammunition’s PM Close Combat Systems with technology transition agreements with DEVCOM AC for AUDIBLE and the Common Lethality Integration Kit (CLIK). That’s how you move the needle 🪡 You have to be a combo of the salesman, the maven and the connector to form a coalition of the willing. More so to the point of what everyone always hears me say, “you have to pick up the axe and chop wood.” 🪵🪓🔥 So in short, this AUDIBLE system was the tiny Trojan horse that effectively helped us change the culture of the Army for lethal sUAS with the help of our proponent, the Aviation Center of Excellence and ACM-UAS. We will never write a requirement that doesn’t have baked in lethality for the recipe. Industry, doors are open. 🫡🇺🇸🦅

ACM Why? They're a multi national engineering firm. They hold probably 20 million(2+mill value) dollar contracts as revenue stream in a single year. There's been insane infrastructure damage across the United States. They specialize in government contract work at scale. In other words they've likely had a boom year because of nature. On top of that they have a cash cow revenue stream from their local county who's been increasing taxes on citizens for more infrastructure work, and wrapping up their multi billion dollar projects. So I suspect they'll be hitting a higher than expected revenue for the year. https://harriscountytx.legistar.com/Legislation.aspx In the search box type AECOM also sort all years to see the multiple contracts they have "active."

ACMR is an odd stock, if I understand correct the US listed company owns a majority stake in ACM Research Shanghai Inc a chinese listed equity, but the chinese equity has an enterprise value ownership that acmr owns is like 4x its market cap. The bear case would be either government severing the relationship, but if anything got even slightly better seems like selling a dollar for a quarter. Clearly high risk though with Trump/trade wars on the table

Absolutely! ACM Research, Inc. (ACMR) is currently trading at $18.935, showing a slight bearish trend with the 6-day RSI at 45.08, indicating potential oversold conditions. The recent announcement of a breakthrough in their Ultra C Tahoe Cleaning tool could drive positive sentiment, aligning with the broader bullish market trend led by tech stocks. However, the MACD histogram remains negative, suggesting caution as momentum hasn’t fully shifted. Given the geopolitical risks tied to its operations in China, investors should be vigilant. For today’s session, consider a long position with an entry around $18.90, targeting $19.30 first and $19.60 second, with a stop loss at $18.50. Confidence in reaching the first target is moderate due to the positive news and market conditions, while the second target carries lower confidence due to potential volatility. Overall, ACMR presents a promising opportunity, but traders should remain cautious of external geopolitical factors.

Yes, water absorbs transmission energy causing signal degradation. Whether or not that degradation is severe enough to cause outages or cripple service is a different matter. Intuitively, as the frequency band increases, the wave size becomes smaller, and so a single droplet becomes larger proportionally, absorbing more energy. This effect is called Rain Fade. How much we suffer from rain fade depends on the effectiveness of the ACM of the satelitte, which may modulate the band to help reduce rain fade. The lower the band, the less distortion and absorption, but simultaneously the less transmission speed you can get. Fortunately, the Ku-Band and Ka-Band broadcast so narrowly that a sufficiently advanced enough ACM should he able to modulate rain fade in a localized basis, meaning only customers getting rained on need to be modulated down instead of an entire continent like the L-band. This localization also allows the same frequencies to be reused without interference, as the signals never touch. Similar to how your wifi signals will never cause interferrence with mine, as we live too far apart. I mean. Uh, puts on spy?

The 13th IACM Conference on Cannabinoids in Medicine will take place online from Friday 12 – Saturday 13 April. The agenda will explore topics such as cannabis medicine around the globe, benefits and risks in psychiatric illness, and its use in paediatrics. https://www.cannabinoid-conference.org/#registration .. Dr Franjo Grotenhermen: “Cannabis gave me a new reason to live” In 1997, he founded the German association, Arbeitsgemeinschaft Cannabis als Medizin e. V. (ACM) and began to write a regular newsletter highlighting the latest research in the field. He was soon being contacted by experts from overseas, which led to the first international conference and the establishment of the IACM. https://cannabishealthnews.co.uk/2024/04/11/dr-franjo-grotenhermen-cannabis-gave-me-a-new-reason-to-live/#:~:text=Now%2066%2C%20Grotenhermen%20has%20spent,that%20I%20continue%20to%20live.%E2%80%9D

No, PLTR's research spend is basically a 'cost of implementation' for their services on their contracts. They are a government contractor with exceptionally low margins. If you want to invest in government contractors (because you thing gov spending is going to go even higher?) then there are plenty of great companies to invest in. There are defense contractors (LMT or NOC) and non-defense like (ACM or J). All of these companies have much healthier margins than PLTR and are much more diversified. For whatever reason PLTR gets a bunch of coverage when they sign (or even get close to signing) a contract, the latest is a NHS contract for 5 years and ~500 m, so 100 m a year. To put things in perspective, [this](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Top_100_Contractors_of_the_U.S._federal_government) is the list of the largest US contractors. The lowest value listed is for ~ 500 m in contracts every year. Breaking into the top 10 is ~6 B. Trading a company based off of one contract worth 100 m is like going to McDonalds and seeing how long the line is and then basing your stock buy on that.

You could consider DoD engineering/construction consultants like ACM, J, and KBR. Or DoD "services" like BAH, SAIC, CACI, or LDOS. All very interesting companies deeply tied in with the military that aren't directly related to combat.

Just a question, In The Netherlands fuel prizes rize within 24 hours afer such an announcment. But if the oil price drops it wil take many months before fuel prizes drop. This is because all oil sellers are in a forbiden cartel and set price. Our controling bodies the ACM and AFM are blind to this... Is that the same in the USA?

This event marked one of the most significant collapses in the history of the financial industry. **Bear Stearns:** In 2008, Bear Stearns, a prominent investment bank, faced severe financial distress and was acquired by JPMorgan Chase & Co. as part of an emergency rescue package facilitated by the Federal Reserve. **Countrywide Financial Corporation:** In 2008, Countrywide Financial Corporation, one of the largest mortgage lenders in the United States, faced substantial losses due to the subprime mortgage crisis. It was eventually acquired by Bank of America. **Washington Mutual:** In 2008, Washington Mutual, a major savings and loan association, faced a liquidity crisis and was placed into receivership by the Office of Thrift Supervision. Its banking operations were subsequently sold to JPMorgan Chase & Co. **Bankia:** In 2012, Bankia, a Spanish banking group, experienced financial difficulties primarily due to its exposure to the real estate market. The Spanish government had to intervene and nationalize the bank to prevent a collapse. The odds of a financial institution succeeding after filing for bankruptcy depend on various factors such as size, complexity, nature of problems, and the strength of the management team. Generally, smaller institutions have a higher chance of success compared to larger ones. This is because smaller institutions tend to be less complex and have fewer issues, making it easier for them to attract new investors and creditors. The nature of the institution's problems also plays a crucial role in determining its chances of success. Institutions facing liquidity or solvency problems are more likely to fail compared to those dealing with asset quality or management issues. Furthermore, the strength of the management team is a key factor in determining success. A capable management team is more likely to develop an effective turnaround plan and implement it successfully. According to a study by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), approximately 60% of banks that file for bankruptcy are able to emerge successfully within two years. However, the study found that the odds of success decrease as the size of the bank increases. For instance, only around 40% of banks with assets exceeding $1 billion are able to recover within the same timeframe. Considering these factors, the odds of Wells Fargo, a large and complex institution, succeeding after filing for bankruptcy are relatively low. While smaller institutions and those with strong management teams have better chances of success, Wells Fargo faces greater challenges due to its size and complexity. **Wells Fargo has been facing a number of problems in recent years, including scandals and regulatory fines such as:** • In 2016, Wells Fargo was fined $185 million by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and other regulators for creating millions of fake accounts in the names of its customers without their knowledge or consent. • In 2018, Wells Fargo was fined $1 billion by the CFPB and other regulators for overcharging customers for auto insurance and other products. • In 2019, Wells Fargo was fined $500 million by the CFPB and other regulators for discriminating against black and Hispanic borrowers. These scandals and fines have damaged Wells Fargo's reputation and led to a loss of customers. In the wake of the fake accounts scandal, Wells Fargo lost over 2 million customers. The bank's earnings have also been affected. In 2018, Wells Fargo's earnings fell by 20%.

First of all, it sounds like you’re using GPT3.5, which definitely tends to hallucinate more. Second, it’s not a great source for obscure facts like that. Your questions were to probe it for information, not to probe it for ideas. If it HAD reported the answers properly it STILL wouldn’t demonstrate “intelligence” only that it knew this obscure thing you’re asking about. But it doesn’t know everything about everything - it’s not a copy of the internet and that’s not it’s purpose. However, along those lines l, I asked 4.0. It’s much better at providing an explanation rather than hallucinating a response. (See below) Another good example is that I wanted to change a web page to look better, so I used the browsing plugin to ask it for code to replace my shitty menu bar. Well, it couldn’t connect to the site or I mistyped the url or something, so it said “I can’t connect, but it sounds like you’re trying to do this and have me code that did almost exactly what I was looking for. It contains a network of information and how it connects together… but how is that different from knowledge? It then uses that information to come up with solutions, ideas and/or information and then pushes that through a language model to express it to you. But it’s certainly not just a “parrot”. Look at my second prompt below. I just wrote that to test it… it’s a simple bug but would still require it to “understand “ what’s going on beyond just “parroting” what I want to hear. Note that I didn’t even tell it the programming language. > What’s the first book or paper that referenced the term “microprocessor”? The term "microprocessor" started being used in the early 1970s with the development of single-chip CPUs. One of the first commercially available microprocessors was the Intel 4004, released in November 1971. However, the exact first usage of the term in literature can be hard to pin down due to the nature of technical and industry publications. The term "microprocessor" is often attributed to Viatron Computer Systems describing the custom integrated circuit used in their System 21 small computer system announced in 1968. However, usage of the term in published text around that time is hard to verify. If you're looking for early uses of the term "microprocessor" in academic literature, consider looking into technical journals from the early 1970s. IEEE Xplore Digital Library or the ACM Digital Library could be good places to search. They hold many of the historical papers in computer science and electrical engineering. > What’s wrong with this code? “Int i, j=0; while(i < 100 ) j = j + i;” The variable `i` is not initialized before it's used in the `while` loop. This can lead to undefined behavior because `i` could be any value at the start. If it's not less than 100, the loop will never execute. If it is less than 100, the loop will run forever because `i` is never incremented. Here's the corrected code: ```c int i = 0, j = 0; while(i < 100) { j = j + i; i++; } ``` In this version, `i` is initialized to 0, and it's incremented in each iteration of the loop, ensuring that the loop will terminate after `i` is no longer less than 100.
