AHH ok I know exactly what happened. You bought a position for 900$, say 1 contract at $9 ( 9$ per share in a 100 share contract - 9$ x100 = 900$ cost) and the market turned the opposite way or the likelihood of nvda hitting 930 is extremely low so the value of the contract went from $900 to 0.01 per contract, a complete loss. This likely happened when nvda went down last week. Then when it up ticked and started heading upward, the market makers have to hedge the call spread and adjust the values, at which point, for a slight moment the value of the contract went up to $240 total value from $0.01. it's the way option spreads trade and are valued. I saw exactly the same thing play out on an option I was watching for Jazz Pharmaceuticals last week. Far otm call for 0.01, for 3 minutes or so, during a surge in the stocks price prior to earnings release, it shot up 25,000% to a price of 0.25 a contract. I assumed it's just delta being adjusted for the spread.
