The ABC circle jerking my def is gonna upset the flux predictions on the GHI's. Im going to put my money into BBW's as a hedge against silver pricing.
Calls on GHI, S, L, AI, NE

“I am absolutely belated to announce I will be interning at XYZ. I have been dreaming my whole life for this, and it finally happened. It deeply saddens me to reject the other companies I also received offers from, such as ABC, DEF, GHI, and many more.”
> I’m an actual engineer too, and I’ve been playing with LLMs the last few weeks. > All the models that run well on consumer hardware are unusably derpy. I don't agree. Consumer hardware @2023 is up to 192GB DDR5 ram, 32 threads, for around $1500. or if you prefer to go the GPU route, dual 3090 NVlink is still consumer grade toys. Not-scaled-down-Llama, for example, fits into the former with room to spare, all in memory. If you're trying to play around on a 3070 and a 16-32GB desktop, well you will get different results. > MSFT/OpenAI’s pitch is why bother, just run on our cloud. I don't see the point you're making. Why would someone need to run it on their desktop anyway? Anyone or any business with access to a cloud and a good open source model can do the same thing. Where's the value add? Maybe 'ah, but in march 2023, model XYZ from open AI is better than model ABC from an open source thing or model DEF from facebook or GHI from Google'. Don't get me wrong. I mean, lots of people use gmail or hotmail, rather than run their own email server. And rightly so. But that's because gmail and hotmail are free. That isn't much of a moat.
Not sure if you're serious or not, but that isn't how it works. They're two entirely separated divisions, with deliberate firewalls against the crime you're assuming takes place. It doesn't mean that ABC bank's investment division doesn't push sale of XYZ security using analyst ratings from their own analysis division. But it's no different than ABC bank pushing XYZ using reports from GHI analysis or TUV analysis.
