You missed the first few stops, depending on where you got on. There’s still plenty of opportunity for this to go up though; In my opinion, it’s still just getting started. There’s so many upcoming catalysts, I can see it growing a lot by end of next year, if not sooner if everything goes well (which I think it will). The turn around I’ve seen since the hiring of Roche as CFO and the level of excitement from the execs over the last year is meaningful to me. I can tell they’re excited with what they have. Wayne Rothbaum (read “For Blood and Money”) is a biotech genius and is known for keeping things quiet until the very last minute. He’s the largest individual shareholder in IOVA and is the man behind the scenes. I’d recommend reading that book and researching as much as possible about TIL and IOVA. Solid company, in my opinion, with plenty of room to run. Good luck!

That’s 20.9% of the float with roughly 7.4 days to cover. Normally I’d assume the shorts know something. Problem is… this isn’t some pre-revenue biotech surviving on PowerPoints and hopes. IOVA already has an FDA-approved cancer treatment and just did $99.3M in quarterly revenue, +66% YoY. **Float:** Extremely tight. With roughly 4.1 million shares outstanding, it checks the low-float box easily. When low floats get volume, they move fast. **Short Squeeze Potential:** Despite the tiny float, the short interest is sitting under 2%. This is **not** a short squeeze candidate like $IOVA or$GME there simply aren't enough trapped shorts to fuel a cascade. **The Setup:** Any run on a stock like this will be purely momentum and catalyst driven (earnings beats or contract news), not forced liquidations. If it pops up on the scanner with relative volume (RVOL), treat it as a straight breakout/retest play rather than expecting a squeeze.
$IOVA definitely has the high short interest (\~20%+ of float) that attracts squeeze hunters, but remember: high short interest is only dry tinder. You still need a massive volume spark or positive catalyst to actually light the fire. Without buyers stepping in to force their hand, shorts can sit comfortable for weeks.
Lol. Lots of assumptions by you. No I’ve been in SLS sub $3. In HELP (formerly Cybin) since $2. In IOVA and PRLD too before their run ups. I research and do my DD. Not sure why you’re so defensive. Yes every company has their binary catalyst - some more risky than others. Happy for you and your conviction here.
I turned $120k into $550k with GME back in the short squeeze. Drove that up to $620k. Then proceeded to basically the same thing as you over the next year or so. It feels really fucking awful. I get it. I rolled a 401k into an IRA and was able to trade with it back in Oct 2024. Since then I am up 125%. I’m at $530k now. Many people would say that I’m still far too aggressive with my investments but I’m behind schedule and I don’t see an alternative if I want to retire. Here’s a few things I’ve learned that helped me change my strategy: 1. Options are bad. It’s just really hard to make money on them and the siren song of 5x-10x gains is really dangerous if you have a gambling addiction. Turn them off. 2. With 100k you can swing trade TQQQ, SQQQ etc and if you’re decent at reading the market, you can make money on these trades more than you can with options. It’s pretty easy to make $300 in a day with $100k using this strategy. If you do that pretty repeatedly for a year you’ll make 50-60% on your portfolio. 3. Buy & Hold: find some stocks you believe in, buy them when they’re beat up, and wait. I’m up 175% on IOVA, 165% on LEU, 190% on AMD, 140% on SNOW, 85% on GOOG, 30% on MSFT. 4. Don’t make your positions too big for your portfolio. Buy into things with 2-5% of your portfolio. If you have to buy the dip a few times this lets it grow to maybe 5-7%. If the position is relatively huge you will stress out about it. When you find a winner that small position can become a major driver of returns. 5. Relative to your past experience you need to be patient. If you can get 30-40% on your portfolio in a year you are absolutely killing it. Most people can’t get that. Don’t try to get that in a few weeks anymore. 6. Use this sub for sentiment analysis not investment ideas. Inverting this sub is surprisingly effective. meme stocks are especially dangerous and you should steer clear of them. There’s a lot of manipulation going on in here. In summary: with $100k in your pocket, you’re not fucked. It’s just money and if you slow down and stop gambling you can get ahead.

I was holding 6 XRP futures and about $6k worth of XXRP (2x XRP etf) when the clarity act announcement happened a couple days ago. I don’t really know how to compute gains on futures since you don’t buy anything but that small port is up 100% and the leveraged etf is up 75%. Most of my recent gains are from IOVA but this big move on a smaller position is still meaningful.
