It's more of a lottery ticket shit co, but I like IOVA. They have the only approved TIL therapy. Showing good results in SCLC. They had a previous debacle of majorly over promising guidance and had a huge miss; they seem to have learned from their mistake and have done some hiring to ensure it doesn't happen again. They look to be righting the ship. Also looks like tax loss harvesting for them was front loaded in November. I sold out of my position for a swing trade on PATH, but i'll look to reenter at some point.

#TLDR --- Ticker: IOVA Direction: Up Prognosis: Buy shares before Q4 earnings cause a short squeeze. Position: 30,000 shares Catalyst: Explosive Q4 revenue, new drug indications (especially NSCLC), and potential buyout.
IOVA is an excellent Short Squeeze candidate with \~ 30% of the 333 Million shares short. The company has real commercial products and I believe it is a takeover candidate (possibly by Merck). Current price level makes absolutely no sense.
Would be helpful if you could tell us what stocks you have bought. It's quite of a difference if you bought IOVA over NVDA, otherwise I can't quite explain it

I work in life science. Please don’t bet a significant position on IOVA. In general, please don’t allocate a significant position to betting.
Most of my money is in safe boring stocks but every few years I go 15% on one high risk stock. IOVA is that pick for me. 5 year Amtagvi data was incredible. Still an uphill climb but fantastic risk/reward. GL.
VKTX is just a slightly longer half life tirzepatide. Retail investors love it, the buyside not so much. We don't think it's materially differentiated from tirzepatide. And you need differentiation to stand out in the obesity race. That's why MTSR got bought out. Also Lian imo is not a good CEO. IOVA is imho junk. Margins are terrible. Improving but a long way to go. The bulls hope it will see approval in NSCLC use after immunotherapy and chemo off open-label data. I think that's an absurd premise and even if it were to happen, you would still struggle to find payers to cover it. And even if that barrier were to fall, you still have a company burning tons of cash with terrible margins. Also REPL has their competing therapy in Melanoma on April 2026 that could put further pressure.

what do we think about IOVA stock? 700m market cap, 52-week low is 1.64 and 52-week high is 12,50 - currently trading 1.97. Sure, it's biotech and risky but personally I think it's not as risky as those 15m market cap biotech stonks

I like your DD, not what I would expect for a biotech DD nor what I do to model out biotech but I like the write out. I’ve come across IOVA again recently after a few years without hearing about it. Modeled out some of the pipeline and I really like what I’m seeing ;). Fair value upwards of 5B and I didn’t even finish modeling out the whole pipeline.
I played with the ATYR dice roll. I broke even, but if I wanted to end it early, I would have been up 50% Similar with IOVA. Biotechs are basically dice rolls. By the time I probably hear anything it's too late.

Yeah this is it. IOVA was also posted here and it is my worst play by a good margin. And the guy who made the DD deleted his account. It's tough to spot good/bad DD. Got to really pay attention, read carefully, consider the stock. And then get quite lucky. But there's good stuff here. Better than anywhere else on the net I would guess.

Please be careful. There is a good chance their FDA meeting is delayed/pushed to next quarter due to government shutdown. Happened to me when I was playing IOVA before their approval. Delayed the catalyst for months. Also, RFK Jr. hates anti-psychotic meds and anti-depressant/SSRIs.

Melanoma provides some downside protection - we aren't pre-revenue with IOVA. They can grow sales through melanoma alone, which they are actively working to expand into new markets (recently got Canada and Switzerland approval and are working towards EU). But the real growth driver would be lung. The market is billions higher if they can get approval for it, and would be huge for the stock price
Yeah, IOVA seems like a real “binary event” stock. If the TIL data hits, the upside could be huge, but I’m still a bit worried about execution risk. Which indication do you think is the real catalyst melanoma or lung?
