Valuation is fucking out of control 800+ forward PE is truly regarded. I like lasers and shit but even Nlight (LASR) has a wildly out of control valuation at this point.

You don't have to find diamonds in the rough. Buy the best stocks in the market: SNDK, LITE, GLW, WDC, LASR- look for pullbacks- a series of lower highs, then buy the day that it breaks the previous day's high. You will be buying strong stocks that are resuming their uptrends. And you will have a portfolio of the strongest stocks- not a bunch of lagging losers. Trade small- 10 shares, 50 shares, but do it. 50 shares of a stock that goes up 25 points is a winner. Rinse repeat.

As long as LASR gaps up tomorrow (my only remaining leveraged long position) I'll be happy

Anybody else in LASR? They've got contracts with the military for drone and missile defense systems. Lockheed’s spectral beam combining laser (SBC) approach demonstrated a 300-kW output, presenting a power level necessary for shooting down fast-moving rockets, mortars and cruise missiles. A competitor, nLight (LASR), proved even more successful by using a coherent beam combining (CBC) laser to demonstrate a power level slightly over 300 kW.

LASR (not LAZR, which has lost me a bunch of money) is interesting. I hadn’t heard of them, so have just done a bit of reading. nLIGHT’s anti-drone laser tech - assuming it works - is going to be in demand, but as the DD on Seeking Alpha notes, they face client concentration risk and are already very highly valued. If they fall into favor with the DoD, the sky is the limit. But it is a risky play. Given how much it has appreciated over the past year, it’s probably not worth YOLOing on, but I’d be interested in throwing a bit at it if it dips. What I’m looking for is a company that is making tech that is going to be in much higher demand now than it was a week or two ago. For example, mine detection systems that could be outfitted to commercial shipping or underwater drones that could sweep shipping lanes for drones. While I’d be overjoyed if the war ended tomorrow, I can’t see a way that we’re not in this for the long haul. And if we’re in planning at any NATO navy or in charge of risk management at any large commercial shipping line, I’d be pounding the phones trying to figure out what tech is out there that can help make the strait safe again for shipping.
It may, but … 1)it takes time to build new capacity, 2) depending a bit on purchase and infrastructure Sooo its actual capacity wouldn’t be up until may be 2027 or later. By then, the demand may or may not be sustained. For a long term investment (may be 5+)it’s fine as this is probably something deem valuable. I think LASR probably better as it’s an answer to drones which proven a bigger thread than the other stuff for now. Disclaimer: was looking into them both but found kraken a bit overvalued. Looking into LASR seemed to be dipping more waiting to buy.

I feel ya, I’ve had a lot tied up in (VELO, LASR, and SHMD). I’m looking at diversification options rn, I’m feeling particularly good about the market rn despite the turmoil since even the normally sane people are losing it. I’m looking at buying up some battered software companies like Adobe that probably got hit a little too hard by the AI scare.

I'd like to add: Kratos (KTOS) & Rocketlab (RKLB) There's gonna be a pull back after the defense budget is passed, but if you grab both once that happens, you'll be golden. Lots and lots of upside for both. I also love LASR, FEIM, FLY
Made some good gains on LASR a few months back. Best thing I did was leave the market and intentionally avoid any finance news for like two weeks. Cleared my head and back at the grind. The time off will make you a better trader too.

I’ve had huge returns on AEVA(300%), LASR(100%), and ARBE(70%). LAZR was a bust but I got out just about even (the stock that taught me a lot of the above points). Waiting for LXRX to turn a bigger profit. Watching XENE and a whole bunch of Quantum computing stocks right now.

Sold most of my LASR right after the earnings report a couple of days ago at like a 60% profit. It kept going up some more, but I’m at peace.
Lots of investors know drones are the hot military procurement item for the next decade, but don’t forget the other side of the equation: countermeasures. Drones all have one big weakness: dependence on optics that are easily destroyed with even handheld lasers. Blind drones are harmless drones. LITR COHR LASR

Sold most of my ZNGA positions yesterday when it hit $8.35 and will be looking for re-entry. The October $9’s were the big winner. I hope I don’t end up regretting it, but just can’t trust this run up with the ground crumbling around us. Had a shitty, busy day at work and idk what to do with my hands when ZNGA is not in lockstep with the broader market. I don’t trust it yet. So I fucking sold. Bought 100 shares of ELY, BOIL, HJEN, COUR, and LASR to ride this out. High probability of going cash gang into the weekend. Lacking confidence right now on a -2% day. Having a decent bankroll has taught me that I’m a pussy.
