And lithium. $LITP is my psychotic mistress.
Was looking at the difference between the LIT etf and LITP. Seems like LIT is just companies who use the lithium in products while LITP is just the production and mining of it. Seems a little contradictory that the etf tracking the use is doing well but the mining is doing poor. Any thoughts?
Just buy LITP and don’t look.
Lithium will be great, but not soon. Batteries and car companies will have ther day, but that day isn't here in these times high interest and more lithium than can be put into the limited EVs available. I would expect more short term non-goodness so I sold my lithium (I prefer the pureplay LITP etf). I figure I'm more than a year away from even thinking about investing in the industry again... which means I don't thin DCAing is a good idea and with so many other things doing well, I'd sell at least the majority of what you have, but keep an eye on the sector going forward.
Lithium has a great future... in the future. 2024 shows no signs of being especially good for lithium. Take the tax loss, then consider LITP as an ETF rather than LIT because LITP is a pureplay lithium ETF while LIT has TSLA/LCID and other only slightly lithium stocks.
LITP is by far the best ETF play for entering the physical lithium space
LITP lithium ETF up 3.06% today. SQM and ALB both up 6% (as are LTHM, LAC, PLL and PILBF).
