Why does everyone seem to love ASST but not LMFA? ASST doesn't mine BTC and has a MUCH larger market cap. LMFAs market cap is at 1/3 of its assets, even after you subtract its debt. Plus, LMFA mines Bitcoin, so it has ways to acquire more, other than just "good luck fam"

It's at 1/3 of it's asset price because it's a company which is not currently profitable. As an individual, you could hold Bitcoin and be annoyed when it goes down, but as long as you keep your job you don't have to sell it. LMFA, and as far as I know most every penny stock Bitcoin/Altcoin Treasury company is unprofitable, so they have to sell their coins to fund operating expenses. If the price is low, they just have to sell extra to offset that reduction. Yes, if Bitcoin surges past $100k these companies will see rallies. If it stagnates around here, they'll bleed slowly until they have to dilute. But these companies have no floor as long as Bitcoin is dropping since they can't stop selling and may have to dilute at lows. If you think Bitcoin is currently undervalued, then why not buy that directly rather than a company that serves as a Bitcoin proxy?

LMFA has no BTC strategy, no major acquisitions, no catalysts, and no real asset base. ASST actually holds/accumulates BTC, has ongoing M&A, real news flow, and moves with the Bitcoin macro cycle. Low float is meaningless if the company has nothing behind it. ASST simply has way more going on. LMFA mining BTC is legit. I think the reason it doesn’t get attention is simply scale: LMFA’s BTC stack is tiny compared to ASST’s treasury strategy, and miners get valued on hashpower + profitability, which LMFA hasn’t proven at a big enough level yet imo. ASST moves the market because it’s tying its entire identity to BTC through mergers, treasury accumulation, big headlines, and aggressive growth. TLDR I'm choosing ASST over LMFA

I think the reason it doesn’t get attention is simply scale: LMFA’s BTC stack is tiny compared to ASST’s treasury strategy, and miners get valued on hashpower + profitability, which LMFA hasn’t proven at a big enough level yet imo. ASST moves the market because it’s tying its entire identity to BTC through mergers, treasury accumulation, big headlines, and aggressive growth. That's why I think it gets much more attention than LMFA. Obviously both will move on a bitcoin run

Big congrats on those who won on SGBX, didn't get in due to seeing some people pushing LMFA last week (glad didn't get in on that one), wish I would've listened on SGBX! You have to consider last weeks market situation when the LMFA news came out. But still is a very risk play.
LMFA A new 13g filings got posted on Friday showing Anson Funds bought 9.1% stake. ER Friday was good and showed increased BTC holdings and mining capacity. Shorts drove it down on Friday. Hoping for a nice rebound during PM tomorrow.

Of course I know we all want a profit. That's why I said that. I can understand the anger at him and much of what you say above is true. Compared to most stocks mentions here, he gave a reasoned, rational argument for why he thought he stock would go up. Yes, he did not also point the BTC connection and how it could affect the stock, and he did post so often yesterday that he can fairly be accused of pumping or spamming. But how many stocks have you seen mentioned here with no information all.... nothing more than the ticker or the ticker plus one of those rocket gifs. To give credit where credit is due, the LMFA guy did at least present a rational, explained, case for why he thought the stock would go up today.

Controversially (and this is definitely NFA) I do believe that LMFA will recover from the current dip. The earnings report was really good news and I think soon that will reflect in its price. Therefore I’m still in, but of course, do your own DD.
