Nektar (NKTR): Short Squeeze Candidate with Long Term Fundamental Value

Hell yeah … my p&l looks about the same (full port NKTR). Got impatient waiting for AtD maintenance and needlessly went heavy on Nov and Dec calls chasing delayed LLY jury trial and resolve-aa readout. Sold enough today to cover initial investment but letting the rest ride indefinitely. March $50s + May $90s + commons https://preview.redd.it/59duveyn10jg1.jpeg?width=1320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=118ad56bb2b00dbc8e0cb2d9aed447f9d1721a06
Wow NKTR did nearly 100% in two days, nice...
Oh this just mostly $NKTR with a mix of something else. But damn, the 30 to 67 USD is wild to imagine
Haha no but thanks. I’ll show the $NKTR calls
How do you balance high conviction trades like NKTR calls against the opportunity cost of using up limited Roth capital on high risk short term bets
How did you find that stock? NKTR?
How far out did you get those NKTR calls when you got them? What was the profit % at closing?
How’d you find the NKTR play?
SOUND, RKLB, NKTR, BHV if their result are good. No advice, just suggestion 😏
Well I think I have done the best out of everyone. 3000 dollar investment (sometimes) turns into 100,000 or more. But not all the time and the key is luck. Luck means you have to be in the shares to win. No shares means no luck. Also luck means for example lots of bets. More bets = More luck. Lets say 1 out of 100 companies will hit the jackpot. It is not a jackpot or no jackpot, that is gambling. In this game you can have any kind of result good or bad but as long as the keep holding maybe things might get better or worse. Normally the good keep getting better. The bad ones, well might do better. This is buy/hold/long term/long position. Define jackpot 1. buyout 2. large contracts or large increase in share price. i.e NBIS, RANI buyout NKTR etc. Current share price and price action could be dead in the water and or falling. Maybe that is best way and way better then FOMO. I never play it right. I like to have fun. Buying the zombie zeros stocks sucks, but they win. Zero emotions just the facts. Set a limit and start investing. The best has been maybe dead stocks with potential for a home run with no action inside very big markets. You can follow the price down and keep buying AMPX but watch out it might not work out NKGN. I think I have like five stocks that are down -98% bankrupt and suck. I have so many I don't even know what I got anymore. Always NO RULES, HAVE FUN and be smart. Believe in what you investing in. Understand it and know stock price action means nothing. I had BE and sold out because I didn't believe or understand and the stock went nuts. I hope selling BE meant buying RANI but who knows at this point. Finding stocks to invest in? The more to know the better. The more volume you can push through i.e reading the more lightning go into the bottle. Look everywhere. Do everything. Go nuts. Look high and look low. The harder you look the better chances you have and be in the zone. no drugs, dark coffee. tons of sleep. That's all for now. https://preview.redd.it/uahscvylxrvf1.jpeg?width=1033&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2f641aeab08b7b79c360777accac6e1609978979
New rumor just dropped: https://www.streetinsider.com/Rumors/Nektar+Therapeutics+%28NKTR%29+Strength+Attributed+to+Rumor/25470313.html Eli Lilly might be taking over Nektar. Nektar is suing them for 200m+ so they turned around and decided we may as well just buy them lol. Stock is just now taking off.
I sold ONDS today after just a few days and booked the massive pop. but might go back in. QURE I just started buying. Got just under 7% portfolio weight in it. I’m also averaging up NKTR. I should’ve looked into KTOS more. $16b market cap. Compared to a LMT it’s cheap but I have to research more. I also have a sneak play on ZVRA. Massive Jan calls in OI. Hoping whatever it is gets resolved soon.

Puts on: QURE HOUS W NKTR
So you made less than me on my NKTR. Ok congrats. I didn’t realize buying a stock and holding it is hard.
My NKTR is up 104%, HROW 85% and SNDX 70%. If you want to buy stupid shit like ATYR you will lose. Been selling off my TARS but had 50% I bought SLNO dip in low 50s after that attack by Skorpian and have made a ton in just a few weeks.
Not a NKTR-specific ban, just the 500M WSB market cap threshold. Way too many near term catalysts to sit this out: LLY litigation resolution in ~<30 days (good or bad), alopecia binary in dec, AtD maintenance data in Q1 … then impossible-to-predict-but-still-more-likely-than-not financial/strategic partnership + dapirolizumab monetization.
Anyone else holding CMG or NKTR? Or do I keep posting about them until my fellow regards start noticing?
I told yall last week about CMG and nobody listened. Same with NKTR
CORZ and NKTR are my big two rn. Nobody's talking about them that much
In for NKTR, BITF, and CMG currently. CMG + NKTR are longer term holds. BITF is not and it better run up soon for the love of god
TGEN (just popped AH), LLY after they tanked on the "bad oral news" (CEO is buying shares here), NKTR, GGLL, AAPU. I'm going to be dipping into some minor plays instead of the overall market for a little until we move from current market position. HIMS puts look enticing. Also looking at the SaaS stock leaders that have been wayyyy to beaten down this year from people just assuming AI is going to end market dominance for these companies overnight. Probably gonna buy some BRZE, OKTA, and GTLB. I have like 20 biotechs to glance through right now.
NKTR. Price target over $100. Sitting at $22. Major novel drug nearing phase 3. Duplixent competitor. December catalyst (second phase 2 data readout). Just take a look.
NKTR. Undervalued and under owned. Looks primed to rip a bit tomorrow. Price target’s over $100. Just take a look, or not.
Yes!! They have earning coming I believe July 10th, so we will get some commercial data, also take a look at NKTR, takes a couple days for a full run up sometimes, either or, long term will perform great! Originally didn’t have as big boost as I was thinking initially, but the price targets are still high!
NKTR - look it up. You will NOT be disappointed.
NKTR is a MUST BUY!! It is going to the 🌖🌖🌖
Yea I’m by no means trying to disagree with you. In fact, in my backtest of 5 years time (forward walk) my win rate was 47% but still came out profitable. The point of the strategy is to have small losses and big runners. So yes NKTR was a sizable win (150%) and DAIC (~100% still holding) will likely be too. Though I’d like to point out, without these gains the profit would still be at 100% in a week
I bought more NKTR yesterday before they announced public offering. Am I cooked?
My play is puts on $NKTR 👌😙
Fidelity active trader. I have 2 windows open, one with uptrendinf stock 3% with 30% vol and one that shows “bullish morning momentum.” I just try to catch pumps. I don’t buy anything less than $10 a share because they’re too volatile and could be dumped 20% in half a second. Yesterday’s 11% was from the first NKTR spike. Today I lost 1% :/
Last one week. I figured by collecting 50% premiums I can limit my loss if it drops. Infact if it drops to $3 don’t sell the shares, just sell CCs or wait until price recovers. It’s been up and down for many years. But it will rally. Most analysts have it at $23. This happened to NKTR yesterday. The drug trial was successful and the stock went up 150%.
shout out to Shkreli for the NKTR pick. still the biotech GOAT
NKTR leap puts, lets see how bad it comes crashing down
$NKTR dump below $28 soon
The bid ask might be off but the mid is 1.11 so I'm only down -$680 which is crazy the option hasn't gone down much in value since yesterday. Luckily I bought a shit ton of calls on $NKTR at $24 yesterday.
Anyone in on NKTR at all. Still holding a bag from 3 years ago.
Thanks mate! Will do my DD on these. Already have SLS. Need something like a NKTR.
120% booked on NKTR data release today. Putting all that money into July and August bank calls
I’m liking $NKTR for a penny play at the moment.
NKTR nice movement last 2 days.
Anyone reading this I personally wouldn’t go in unless NKTR hits .70 cents minimum. Too risky going in seeing its gone up today. Not scaring. Just trying to save ya momey
As someone who called PEPG at 1.26$ and is still holding it until at least 5$, now I'm calling another awesome stock with good movement today - NKTR.
Yeah I was just giving you shit for the dated summary of Nektar’s pipeline (your Claude model’s training obviously has a cut off). I think we agree on your takeaways re: the LLY lawsuit and the potentially ironic re-partnership between LLY-NKTR. I just wouldn’t read too far into the fast track decision (unlike accelerated approval and breakthrough therapy designations, fda fast track designation can be predicated on preclinical data alone — likely influenced by Nektar’s reanalyses of the botched EASI-75 scores in this case). Also, I *think* we can confidently expect to see p2 data for AD in q2 since target enrollment has been met … could be wrong on that tho.
My thoughts were that LLY essentially said there was no application for rezpeg in a formal statement and the FDA granted NKTR fast track status in the event that the phase 2 trial data (hopefully) released this summer is good. This would mean that the lawsuit isn’t on the strongest ground and likely not a barrier. In straight business terms, and not hurt feelings terms, LLY might be a good future partner if nektar decides to partner and make the drug (vs sell) seeing they’re familiar with the molecule? And yes guilty as charged - I used Claude
$NKTR. Slow burn the last few days. Volume steadily increasing.
You all are sleeping on NKTR
Check on NKTR

Got in on NKTR with fast-track designation from FDA news as well
I've got some longer dated labu and inda calls. I'm looking into GE and will probably get long dated calls. Winding down my BITX position. AVGO is tempting me for earnings. I'll be looking for biotech index dips, as well as announcements. NKTR is one on the docket. Shopped at Costco and target today and costco was packed and target was empty. Might be a sign we'll see what they cost. I'll hold overnight calls on qqq into jobs report. Going to build an IWMY position with some of these earnings, get TLT, and JNK.
NKTR is the regarded play.
IL-2 has serious toxicity issues and limited efficacy. Most here are too regarded to read the whole paper but I suggest reading the section on interpretations that I have posted below. Btw, this is a review from the Lancet. Top medical journal. https://www.thelancet.com/journals/ebiom/article/PIIS2352-3964(23)00104-4/fulltext Interpretation So far, none of the improved IL-2-based compounds has gained regulatory approval for the treatment of cancer or autoimmune diseases. NKTR-214 is the only compound completing phase 3 studies. The PIVOT IO-001 trial testing the combination of NKTR-214 plus Pembrolizumab compared to Pembrolizumab monotherapy in metastatic melanoma missed its primary endpoints. Also the PIVOT-09 study, combining NKTR-214 with Nivolumab compared to Sunitinib or Cabozantinib in advanced renal cell carcinoma, missed its primary endpoint. Trials in autoimmune diseases are currently in early stages, thus not allowing definite conclusions on efficacy.
Holding T2 and NVOS got out of the rest to see what NKTR does
It’s at least the only one of the recent batch of recs that doesn’t seem like a one-pump chump - not to say you can’t come out ahead on those, but I bought on the crest and lost on GMBL, NEPT, NKTR, etc.
Kind of disappointed with paper hands here trying to make a quick buck out of TTOO. I’ve been making 5-10K from NKTR fluctuations every day, but not even touching TTOO despite $50-60L swings on profit every hour. It’s a bigger game. If and when the FDA approval comes through, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a VTGN repeat. As soon as TTOO goes down .2-3 cents, people start bringing up random stocks to confuse people. People who’ve existed TTOO during dips, I don’t think it’s still late to get back in. PS: It’s not a financial advise. Use your own judgement.
You guys got me interested in $EBET (small share position!), take a moment and check out $NKTR
$NKTR continues to be a great scalping opportunity with a small chance to breakthrough at ~$1.10
Also .42 - and I pulled out of NKTR, which is now going up, for it.
$TTOO, $BAY.V, still holding $NKTR
Looks like they've lost one mil in revenue (a ton of investor cashflow) but have also reduced their operating costs substantially - the way I'm looking at it, with around $350 in at 1.00 (I probably came in too high), is that putting money into NKTR is a bet that the lawsuit will help recoup those losses and continue to inch the stock price at least a little bit closer to where it was in Feb. Idk about any of this shit, though - started investing last week.
Does anyone have NKTR earnings yet?
Any chances for NKTR play to work out? Fundamentals look solid but being trapped at 1.03 is making me a bit sweaty
Holding TTOO - NKTR and SISI
$NKTR But I wonder where it will go today. Pre-market so far doesnt show lots of volume it seems
This is now the NKTR Megathread. All others will be deleted. Thanks!
Up 102% and climbing 02:44 PM EDT, 08/07/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Nektar Therapeutics (NKTR) on Monday sued Eli Lilly (LLY), accusing the company of alleged breach of contract, negligent misrepresentation and unfair competition over an autoimmune-diseases drug they were developing together, Reuters reported Monday, citing a complaint filed in San Francisco federal court. The lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages, Reuters said. In 2017, the companies partnered to develop and commercialize the drug called rezpegaldesleukin. Eli Lilly will respond as soon as a statement is available, a company representative said in an email to MT Newswires. Nektar Therapeutics didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. Nektar Therapeutics said Monday in a statement that corrected data from two phase 1b trials of rezpegaldesleukin in atopic dermatitis showed an 83% improvement in severity and a response rate of 41%. The company said data were incorrectly calculated by Eli Lilly, its former collaborator who conducted the studies. The errors were discovered after Nektar reassumed all the rights to the drug and the raw data files from the studies. Nektar's shares doubled in recent Monday trading. Eli Lilly shares rose 0.8%. NKTR is the best current play imo 1. NKTR 2. TTOO 3. RAD
$NKTR August 18 $1 put 👀
NKTR with the momentum. should've bought more than $100 but a win is a win
I’m in on NKTR @ 0.96, feels like I bought high but I guess we’ll see
Still holding a small bag of TTOO and RAD just in case of a miracle but right now NKTR is looking real good
