A lot of negative comments here but OP is spot on. Not sure why so many people are commenting on the data being cherrypicked when OP also included a table for the recent market crash from 2021. I mean, it's literally the same timeframe and OP shows that Bitcoin and Ethereum performed similarly to large tech stocks such as NVDA, META and TSLA. Another interesting point is that the major stock indices hit all time highs a few weeks ago, coincidentally the sameish time as when Bitcoin surpassed its own ATH. So unlike ZM and PTON, Bitcoin and Ethereum have recovered and are close to their ATH.

In the end large miners will win. The key is to get bigger and bigger. All you need are 2 miners to have a network. No one will ever let it drop down to 2 miners. The hash rate gets harder and easier depending on the time-frame it takes for the miners to solve the new block. It sweet spot for bitcoin is every 20 mins. If there are too many miners, the hashrate will likely go up to keep the complexity difficult enough. I hope this helps. You may want to do more research. I've been studying this for years, so it makes sense to me. Sign up to my youtube. I ask experts to explain blockchain technology. The pushing part, it's globally. These people you mention are just puppet following an order from the top. This all ties in with linking digital ID and surveillance. You got this question asked 200x daily in the 2018 markets - Is crypto dead? Bitcoin at 16.5k is 300%+ higher than Bitcoin was 2 years ago at its lows, and this is in the middle of a long term bear market with terrible macroeconomic conditions. Threat of war, recessions, all sorts of nonsense. If you bought at the height of the bullrun, yes, you're going to feel a bit hosed, just like if you bought [Zoom for $450](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ZM?p=ZM&.tsrc=fin-srch) or [Peloton for $160](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/PTON?p=PTON&.tsrc=fin-srch) - Crypto is a high risk sector, but pandemic stocks along with other darlings of the stock market are down just as much in these conditions. You're asking whether "crypto is dead", but what you're really asking is whether the price will go up again - No one knows - No one's got a crystal ball. People invested in Loopring [sat for years at $0.02](https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/loopring) until mania last year sent it up to $3.50 for a return of 175x. But some other coins might never recover. Yours might be among them. There's no way to tell except holding onto them.

Ha! Love these articles. Best not to mention darling **ETFS** like [ARKG](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ARKG?p=ARKG&.tsrc=fin-srch) which are down 70% from their highs, or darlings like [Netflix](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/NFLX?p=NFLX&.tsrc=fin-srch) and [Zoom](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ZM?p=ZM&.tsrc=fin-srch) which were wholeheartedly massacred from their highs. Or stocks like the "very safe" [Alibaba](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/BABA?p=BABA&.tsrc=fin-srch) which got melted down from its highs, or [Darlings like Shopify](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SHOP?p=SHOP&.tsrc=fin-srch) or [Snapchat](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/SNAP). Anyone who meets the following criteria should lose their money though: > Jacob Willette, a 40-year-old man in Mesa, Ariz. who works as a DoorDash delivery driver, stored his entire life savings in an account with Celsius that promised high returns. At its peak, the stored value was $120,000, Mr. Willette said. If you *willingly* put your life savings into something that promises high returns and don't even ask a question about whether or not that's a good idea, guess what - You're probably going to get burned. It's high risk high reward for a reason. You just ate the risk.

There's been a lot of discussion over the years about if all crypto are securities, or are they commodities, or will that be decided on a case-by-case basis, etc... The only answer rn is: no one knows, it's all still being discussed... In fact, there was a meeting on this exact thing recently in D.C. that Charles was invited to participate in, if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4ZM2AlGT-s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EF93ZM_P_Oc That’s contemplated: They want agility on creation, but velocity slows down in decision. If a referendum is low priority, and is voted fast, and has a high turnout, it passes faster. If a referendum has high security implications, or low turnout, or is attached to multiple tools, then again it will take longer to pass. Additionally, the protocol only allows “x” amount of referendums to pass. X varies depending on the priority and turnout too. This is maybe the most advanced governance system we have seen in crypto. People here should really give it a look before arguing things that are actually being contemplated.

Bullshit, I can tell you at least 50 off the top of my head. I'll list just a few - VRM, PDD, ZM, DOCU, PYPL, SNAP, SQ, LCID, NKLA, INPX, GAN, LAZR, CLOV, GRWG, ZEPP, RIDE, SOLO, COIN, PSFE, ASTR, IREN, Every Cannabis stock etc etc all fell more from their highs than Bitcoin has. There are wayyyyy more than that honestly. The stock market has without a single doubt been more brutal than Bitcoin. Especially with how easy it is to trade additional derivatives on these assets.

Its there, grant from DARPA. Either way stuff is happening, the industry is moving: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ja9D0kpksxw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4ZM2AlGT-s Blockchain and Bitcoin are simultaneously useless and also enough threat to have central bankers calling it a threat. There is so much going on in the crypto industry its insane. Its like you are saying the sky is orange and its all made up lol. I don't know what would convince you, maybe Jerome Powell stating they are contemplating using blockchain in place of the dollar. 10 countries including China already have a blockchain currency and 108 of them are in the process of creating one.
