Is there a difference between NVDA and NVDA.NE?

NVDL. Up over 450%.

Mentions:#NVDL

Just scan for historical volatility of shares...you will discover a long list of names that are a lot more volatile than TSLA. Then, there are leveraged ETFs on single names, e.g. TSLL for TSLA, NVDL for NVDA and many more.

NVDL closed at 69.69 NICE!!

I definitely learned my lesson, being at like 80% margin utilization on NVDL during the tariff debacle was awful, my covered call income barely covered my interest payments and I was down 50% of my life savings I keep margin utilization under 25% now

Mentions:#NVDL

This is actually the biggest dip I have seen NVDL take in a minuteeeee, I would recommend people get in now lol, might not ever seee the 60's again after this week

Mentions:#NVDL

Yeah I bought like 5/6 shares earlier at like 1.85. Nothing crazy but could be fun, can always add more. I put the majority of my money to get me a better position in NVDL as Id imagine NVDA will rebound, and this will 2x the returns, plus I already had some.

Mentions:#NVDL#NVDA

Welp today sucks. Time to reload on NVDL and pray the market goes back to green lol

Mentions:#NVDL

The IV is adjusted for this. You can compare the IV of NVDA and NVDL. And you might have more slippage if you wanna book profit or cut short losses

Mentions:#NVDA#NVDL

how long have u held NVDL and isn’t the gains diminishing cuz of daily leverage

I think you meant diversify. I have a small FSELX position. Look at soxx as well. I also have large positions in SOXL and NVDL for added spice.

You can buy LEAPS though leveraged ETFs so you aren’t priced out. TSLL, NVDL. Obviously the risk is higher

NVDL kicked my ass today. I sold yesterday before bell, so missed out on the overnight bump. I only managed 0.31% compared to nvdl's 5.07% lol And that includes being down like a full percent, recovering from that. /cry

Mentions:#NVDL

As a former TQQQ, SQQQ, NVDL, TSLR, SOXL holder, I can tell you that you will be constantly averaging down, sometimes just to break even.

WOOT! I beat NVDL today! I ate most of the lunch hour dump (actually I had a ceaser salad for lunch) but thanks to premarket and the war with Iran is not gunna happen rip from the bell I came out ahead of NVDL

My $55 NVDL cc's are gonna get exercised early, aren't they?

each morning I open up trading view; and was hugely shocked by drop in NVDL. When am scared and confused I come to WSB looking for answers. Yours was first comment when I opened WSB. Thank you kind reporter!

"wow, prospects for NVDA are pretty good, my port is safe in NVDL overnight." I have no intuition for risk of war.

Mentions:#NVDA#NVDL

Phew! that was close, I almost rode NVDL at open today, thankfully I sold JUST as premarket got close to my b/e. I ALMOST got hit with with a 3% gain! Almost managed to buy the top, I was off by 0.45% That's some sharp null result plays! I should be down by tomorrows open, rinse repeat.

You’re asking the right question , and this is a common scenario for people trying to unlock capital while managing a covered call position. technically, yes — you can sell your 3,500 shares and then buy deep ITM LEAPS (long-dated calls) to mimic share exposure and keep your short $60 calls “covered.” But there are a few important caveats: yes, deep ITM calls can replicate shares — These are called “synthetic long” positions. A deep ITM call with a high delta (~0.9 or higher) behaves similarly to holding stock, though not perfectly. You’d want to pick something with low extrinsic value and long duration (like Jan ‘26 or later), ideally with good open interest But it’s not a true hedge— If NVDL tanks, your LEAPS will decay faster than stock would, and if IV drops, your long calls lose value even more. And if NVDL rallies, your synthetic position will lag due to theta and bid/ask spreads. So it’s not a perfect 1:1 replacement. What you’re really doing is legally keeping those short calls covered, but economically introducing risk. You’re exposed to slippage, lower delta, and any liquidity issues with those long calls. So the trade-off is.: • You free up capital • But you accept imperfect share replacement and introduce new risks you didn’t have with the stock. if the $60 calls are way OTM and your cost basis is safe, you might consider scaling the position: sell some shares and replace with partial LEAPS coverage — not all 3,500 shares. That way, you blend flexibility with prudence. Let me know if you want help structuring that — happy to walk you through what LEAPS to look at and how to manage the delta exposure.

Personally, the closest thing I own to options is NVDL (2x NVDA). There’s a reason that options trading isn’t a college major because it’s a rabbit hole, 97% of long term option traders are in the red. Protecting your money is more important than making money, inflation will get you there naturally

NVDA will slowly crawl back down to 130. Buy NVDL there, and sell it whenever NVDA touches 140. Rinse and repeat.

u/DennyDalton gave you the textbook answer, but let me personalize it for you a bit. Because I hold NVDL shares too, and sell CCs against them. But those are the only actual *shares* of anything I own now, and Diagonal Call Spreads are almost all I do. Buy an 80-delta Call a year or more out to act as a stock substitute. You can sell a Call against it. If you find you can't, ask your broker, because it's the same risk as a CC against shares. **Don't skimp on the Delta!** 80. Or more. Buy them closer in time if you want, but I don't advise closer than 3 months. Since you have CCs now, you can substitute in a long Call for a hundred-lot of shares. If you have the capital, then by all means, buy 35 80-delta Calls. Then sell the shares. The CCs will stay covered and your broker won't care. Or buy ONE Call first, then sell 100 shares. Use those proceeds to buy a few more Calls, sell those shares, etc. Do you think you want to stay long NVDL? Or just long enough to cover the 19Sep60C's? Because you could buy 80-delta 19Sep42C's for about 17.50 and build yourself 35 Vertical Call Spreads. That would free up about 2/3 of the capital you have tied up in NVDL shares. Or you could go out farther in time with your long Calls: December, January, or January 2026. That should get you started. Have fun!

I took some profits from some of my NVDL shares and hedged the rest with puts as insurance and NVDA mooned for the first time after earnings in a long time. Lesson learned. Do not trade responsibly by doing things like taking profits and using options as insurance like they were originally intended to be used for. Always bet it all in one direction with as much leverage as possible since theres zero chance that doing this will go tits up

i own 75.86 shares of nvda at 111.05 avg share price should I buy more at open tomorrow? If yes, how many more shares? Should I just buy NVDX/NVDL/NVDU instead?

I now feel good about my 6/6 $65 calls on NVDL.

Call has time erosion to it. If NVDA does nothing or drops slightly, NVDL won't have IV crush and could hold it for as long as needed with selling CC's on it over time.

Sold my SPXL position when overnight market opened and locked in profits. Not really much else looking compelling at this stage. Maybe NVDL shares to try scalp for a small profit before NVDA earnings are released but honestly the risk/reward ratio is pretty dogshit. ![img](emote|t5_2th52|4640)

Don't listen to the doubters, I took a fat margin loan to wheel NVDL and if you divide my realized gains by the interest paid ive effectively made a 14x return in like 4 months, though my whole portfolio was down 50% for a solid month after liberation day Id say making more than 7% annualized wheeling qqq is totally possible, go for it

To explain - I sold cash covered puts at a technical peak on NVDL to make money on premiums, under the bet that the stock would pull back after hitting recent highs. I chose an expiration price that I would be comfortable buying more shares and also made premiums over two days. (~$3.2k)

Mentions:#NVDL

Selling puts means you sell a contract agreeing to buy a given stock at a set price for a premium, since the value of the stock fell below the price OP agreed to purchase for in his contracts he was forced to purchase 2000 shares of NVDL at 51 and 3000 at 50 dollars when their market value was 49.69. The difference between the market price and the contract price goes to the holder of the put contract.
