PLTR & NVDA, NVDL saved my day. At least I made $6K!
I have held NVDL (2x NVDA) for a year and up 120%.
Just took my profits on some NVDL, NVDA and PLTR calls - $6,200 worth. Keeping one of each just in case.
PLTR, NVDL & NVDIA calls sold = $7K today..
Similar, had 200 shares of NVDL called away at $55 when they were worth $71. Originally assigned to me at $88.
If you know what you are doing you can make a decent side income with that cash. If you don't know what you're doing, you'll make that $3K go 'poof' pretty fast. There's a lot to learn before you should risk your real dollars on this idea. My advice would be to open up a Schwab account and use the 'thinkBack' (or onDemand) feature on their Desktop application to practice options trading starting at some random point in the past (setup the trade, change the date/time then decide what to do with the trade, ...). Do that practice after learning good options strategy. My options teacher [https://www.youtube.com/@MarketMoves](https://www.youtube.com/@MarketMoves) teaches a mainly put-selling and LEAP-trading approach and I can say I'm a much better options trader after learning from him. He has a paid coaching class, but if you take notes in this videos he gives away his strategy. The main points on his put-selling strategy is to: * Target 5% ROI on a 30 DTE put. * Using leveraged stock that follows Mag-7 type names or indexes \[TQQQ, SOXL, GGLL, MSFU, NVDL, AMDL ...\]. * Use technical analysis to find Support, sell a PUT at or below support on days when the stock dips * Setup a GTC order to buy Back put at 50% max profit * If assignment is imminent, check vibes on what to do next (get out, roll, get assigned ...) His main LEAPs strategy is to: * Target profitable companies that have been consolidating for a good long while Ok, the LEAPs strategy is a common one. I've started using FinViz to try to find LEAPs, but I'm still in the beginning phases on that one. Here's a video on using FinViz to see market rotations [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80VduwQrAtg](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80VduwQrAtg) ; For finding LEAPs you'd want to setup the filter a little differently; maybe ask Gemini if it can find a how-to-video for finding LEAPs on Finviz.
3 days ago I was screaming at my 2 NVDL Nov 21 $96 and 2 NVDA Nov 14 $195 calls to "**FUCK OFF**" for riding sideways since last month**. Today, they responded "Are you not entertained" Back at me!**
Ill take my 500 NVDL and exchange them for 5,000 NVDU. 10X
Only doing it on SPY/QQQ/NVDL/GLD rn
If yall had 100k to ONLY sell options on ETFs, no stocks, what would you pick? I'm thinking doing weeklies on SPY/QQQ, NVDL, and maybe TQQQ. Any other highly liquid options chains with decent premiums?
Bought NVDL last week and its like zooming down.
I hope so... I have like 4 NVDL and NVDA calls. The stock has been up and down.. up and down for a while now. One of the things I hate about NVDA since they sell so many options. I hope this hits for you!
I bought UAMY and NVDL on monday. Both tanked right after I purchased.
Can you tell where your strategy had given a signal for NVDL ? I got 600 qty for $38.
I'm regarded so I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, do you mean stocks/ETFs that are leveraged? Like TQQQ, NVDL, etc? Or do you mean borrowing money from platform (margin investing) for leverage?
Bruh. Just load up on NVDL and chill. 😎
NVDL SOXL USD (Semiconductor ETF not currency)
If you are going to go with an option, then go with a stock that is FIRE or proven winner. Choose from RGTI, PLTR, ACHR, RCAT, QBTS, ASTS and RKLB for example. You can also consider NVDA, NVDL but the options are more expensive. In any case, just buy an option at least 3 months out. Wait for a red day like today to buy it or when the stock you want is down.
PLTR... RGTI... NVDL... Sure.. you can have regrets. But the truth is that you can never go wrong taking profits!
Lol I woke up, saw NVDL dropped like $5 in an hour bought at $91 Drove to work sold at $93 Easiest $200
Very happy that I sold my NVDL on Thursday :)
My current top ones are: 1. NVDL (mostly selling calls) 2. SOUN - I have avoided assignments several times because they love running it on Fridays..hint hint 3. IONQ and OPEN are the most recent ones since their IV spiked a lot
This logic fails whenever you are talking about a stock or underlying that always has price appreciation such as NVDL or TQQQ. Volatility decay also works in your favor during times of appreciation, that’s why it compounds more than 2X on the way up. On the way down, it actually shrinks to less than 2X and you lose less
put all the profit into NVDL
Anyone who wants to understand leveraged ETFs should use Yahoo Finance's advance chart, it's free and does the math for you. You can plot the leveraged version against the normal to see how compounding downwards or sideways movement can greatly delay recovery. Example: You bought NVDL (2x NVDA ETF) just before the deepseek crash, you had to wait about an extra month just to breakeven compared to NVDA.
No but I bought a next week $NVDL doing pretty good along with 2 smh calls.
I lost 50% of my account on March 6. My account just had its highest close ever today. It took luck yea, but I was so disciplined until I saw the chance to press and then I got aggressive. From March to July, I was only day trading NVDL, NVD, TSLL, and TSLZ exclusively. It wasn’t pretty at all. About 20% gain during those ~4 months. But then I saw an opportunity with the market heating up and started swing trading and got lucky with OPEN, but also seeing the macro environment we’re in I’ve been swinging small caps like ONDS, RR, IREN, etc. and it’s been working out really well. This is the easiest market to have a comeback in imo, small caps are going ballistic. It’s possible, just don’t revenge trade and even though it’s boring, trading shares is usually more successful. Best of luck regard 🫡
2.79% in 3 months you would be better off not scalping at all just left it in SPY,NVDL,PLTR, or Robin Hood
Buying NVDL when NVDA was at 100 was my biggest W so far this year....would love another juicy dip
Bought about 50k of NVDL at 2am, fell asleep -500 and now I'm up $1000, neat
Ok I have 500 shares of NVDL on margin time to go back to sleep LMAO 🤌
Dollar cost averaging every 10 minutes into 100 share increments of NVDL on this fake and ghey China dump LMAO 🤌
Can't buy options at night so I bought 100 shares of NVDL LMAO 🤌
I like the leveraged ETF weeklies atm… have done well with TQQQ and NVDL…. Also started diversifying - IBIT, XLE, random safe stocks with decent IV, and some momentum plays (CSP on GOOGL, MU, etc)… Leaps, look for companies or etfs that had a big drop but solid fundamentals… got in on JNJ leaps when they hit mid 140’s, MU, XLE, OXY, and some others… meant to get on GOOGL leaps but got side tracked
S&P7 includes NVDA,NVDL,USD,SOXL, TQQQ, and ORCL.
There are websites specifically for this exact purpose. Barchart and optionistics come to mind. But remember high iv = high premiums. I have found some leveraged etfs can have enough liquidity and volume to generate 10-20% months. Typically use 14-30dte contracts which allows for flexibility for rolling. TSLL, SOXL, TQQQ, BITX, NUGT, NVDL, etc
I really should get around to selling my NVDL
Yep I lost more playing NVDL today than I’ve made playing it in the past 1 year
No, I don't work for them nor stand to profit from marketing them. I don't work for or get paid by any financial company, I'm just some dude on the internet. Heck, I told you to not blindly buy them! Just look at them and how they function, and especially look at how they behave relative to the underlying. You'll learn a lot about the quirks of how these second and third order derivatives can function. For today especially, look at NVYY vs NVDL vs NVDA.
First time with a leveraged etf? You gotta sell covered calls(ABOVE YOUR COST BASIS) like they are hot potatoes (https://optionstrat.com/build/short-call/NVDL/.NVDL251017C95x-31)
Got 3131 shares of NVDL, do I sell at open or hold and sell at 10am
Sold NVDL at the bottom - it shall moon now 🤡
100% agree. My go-tos of late are NVDL and NUGT - mostly the latter due to excellent premiums and because gold is so in-demand.
you buy nvda at ATHs. you buy NVDL after it drops.
Yup.. so that's my approach. Ill flip between standard positions/ETF's and leveraged. When things seem to even out ill sell leveraged and move to regular positions/ETF's. When things drop I sell standard and move to leveraged. This approach assumes an upward trending economy though. As an example.. I moved to NVDA before earnings out of precaution. Immediately after earnings, during the aftermarket drop, I was buying up NVDL (around $85). Closed @ 89 today.. Thought it would close a littlle higher. I am getting a little uneasy as the market seems a little bloated and primed for a pull back. Just glad NVDA did decent enough.
On yahoo finance, you can easily plot a leveraged ETF like NVDL against NVDA, to compare their percentage movement. If you get in at a good dip, you'll love the leveraged ETF. If you got in just before the deepseek crash, you would have needed to wait another month or so to break even compared to NVDA.
Not me, bought NVDL and side stepped IV crush lol
Bought NVDL shares the second it dropped yesterday after earnings, feels great avoiding IV option crush.
I've got 282k$ in NVDL, full port lol, I'm down 19k
Guy who sold all those NVDL $90 calls is looking pretty smart
I just grabbed shares if NVDL. Lfg!
glad I just went with NVDL this call. shares'll go back up, right?
Went full port NVDL , 285k$ letsgo
SOXL or NVDL for earnings?
Is it bad I HAVE nvd & NVDL
Calls on NVDL, need even more leverage baby
Will my $60 of NVDL make me rich or poor?
Wake up, Drink Celsius (as an owner) Buy NVDL Take a dump Wank Go back to bed
Alright well I’ve got 30 grand freed up. Do I yolo into NVDL or SOXL. Or do I wait it out
Called the AH NVDA pump, I’m gey though and got NVDL instead of calls
NVDL calls is the move fr
Sold and reinvested $50k into NVDL because Tom Lee is super bullish on NVDA and he’s never WONG
Someone just sold $2,400,000 worth of $NVDL 90 calls (2x Leveraged $NVDA) $NVDA reports earnings after the close tomorrow👀
Hey thanks for the huge reply I really appreciate it. Yes I'm trying to calculate the difference in PNL if I close out of the position right now, vs if I let the time value of the contract expire (and shares get called away, assuming Contracts are still ITM). I'm trying to figure out if it's worth it to re deploy capital or leave the capital tied up in this trade . Positions : OWN 3500 NVDL shares @$52 5/27/2025 SOLD x35 SEPT 19 $60 Calls for $7.86 Stock currently trading at $90.80
It's NVDL (2x bull) not regular nvda
Bid / ask prices you see on NVDL look different from NVDA because NVDL is not Nvidia stock - it’s a leveraged ETF. NVDL trades on its own supply and demand, separate from NVDA stock.
Just different brands but same 2X leverage. NVDL, NVDU, NVDX and NVDG https://preview.redd.it/qyv91bokczkf1.png?width=1300&format=png&auto=webp&s=c615281ae87cafa1a08b2adb81058c9407d5689c
To me, it appers that your downside risk of owning NVDL shares close to earnings seems higher risk than the potential IV crush of NVDL calls but to each our own risk management, I guess. One more question on what you said: "make a realized profit by selling your puts OR roll them for more protection if you think you need it ". Rolling is considering realizing profit/loss, right?
OP, why NVDL and not NVDG? I got $50K in NVDG and based on the last 8 earrings, I’ll be selling a few hours before close on Monday. Due your DD and trust me. I’m switching to NVD shares in Thursday/friday
uhhh...that's says NVDL
Reading that right… NVDL…?
Neither. Most of the time you can’t beat the IV crush. Just buy shares or NVDL/NVDS if you want to bet on it.
I feel like I exited NVDL and SOXL just in time AMAT gave poor guidance Friday and Trump talking about semi tariffs again...
Good, I’ll buy another NVDL dip and maintain the $1k/week profits that I’ve been pulling from trading these swings. Thanks orange man.
He's trying to take my SOXL and NVDL gains away >:(
Leveraged stock that tracks the big boys are often less than $50/share: \[AMZU, GGLL, TSLL, NVDL, SOFX, SOFI, UBRL, MSTX\] There is an ETF "NVYY" that basically just sells PUT-Credit Spreads on NVDL (2x NVDA) and hands out \~$0.50 per week in a dividend. Pretty cool.
I bought NVDL (2x NVDA) In march. On top of NVDA shares. It's up 125% so far.
People who are saying volatility decay are wrong. Volatility decay is just a mathematical result that happens over time, not in a single day. People who are saying fees are wrong. The fees for a 3x ETF are closer to 0.03 - 0.04% per day. I would guess that you may think you own 3x NVDA, but you actually own the more popular 2x ETF NVDL. I'm honestly not sure if 3x ETFs on individual stocks can even be offered on US exchanges. Regardless, you should not own a 3x ETF on an individual stock. 2x is plenty of leverage, especially for an already volatile stock like NVDA.
even if they report poor earnings, that dip will be bought up so fast, leave some cash available to buy if it goes down, NVDL for max profit lmao
nvidia single stock etf tickers; NVDW NVDA WeeklyPay NVDU Bull 2X NVDD Bear 1X NVDL GraniteShares 2x Long 3LNV 3x bull
Wheel on NVDL was really good. And I swing trade when I buy options - risk max $4 or $5000 on those trades and look for 30% return. Price action, SD zones, RSI, macro, momentum.
This why NVDA is way up but NVDL (2x *daily* exposure to NVDA) is way down long term.
Chips ❤️ Dips SOXL NVDL SMH
you’d already have doubled your money if you invested in NVDL
