How is $OPTT still relevant?
Can the mods ban all the bag holders who keep pumping OPTT? This company’s executive compensation is even higher than its revenue, yet people are still constantly recommending it just so they can unload their bags.
OPTT keeps on doin nothing... same with MTMCF. Everyday I debate cutting or adding..
Preparation for one, yes but also just future US defense architecture. OPTT would be providing the maritime energy and sensor layers required to detect threats over open water. I think about, Patroling and ID of sea skimming cruise missiles, offshore power and relays for sensors and of course autonomous docking and charging. Why not provide that as a resource to other drones for defense? Most threats (smugglers, spy vessels, or semi submersibles) turn off their Automatic Identification System. With OPTT tech, when a vessel is visible on radar but isn't broadcasting an AIS signal, the system flags it as a "dark target" and automatically dispatches a drone for filming. Imagine how this can be used for active defense and patrol with or without munitions.

Out of curiosity of boomers like you I checked out profile. Been dooming for months in comments so you have missed all the growth. But the good news is instead of gaining the growth you doubled down on a meme stock OPTT thinking it would 10x but instead went way down Maybe less doom and more proper investing.
I'm the actual person with oceanography experience. This idiot isn't completely wrong about his data point, he's just an idiot and can't articulate it. FWIW I hate OPTT's board and will go nowhere near anything with that much retired Naval Brass control (they have everything to lose and nothing to gain). Essentially, the new selling point of the PB3 system is that it can integrate the individual data-signals from various nearby autonomous sensors (ASV/AUV/etc.) into a single data-transfer back to a land source. In principal, smoothing the data locally can reduce the overall data volume. It's a many-pipe problem that could be solved with local pipelines. From what I've seen on this data processing, it's still extremely work in progress. I first saw some of this data processing stuff used for ship traffic triangulation, in the context of "how do we best deploy future sensors around shipping channels". It's inherently solid principles backed with scientific studies. It's just also nowhere near the scale people on reddit keep wanting it to be.

I don't feel like finding them, but some existing Oceanography papers (from researchers associated with the US Naval programs) use the PB3 system to triangulate ship traffic and examine signal-bottleneck related issues.
Anduril purchased/leased (idk the right language) 3 PB3 systems for their new west-coast campus. That is not a partnership, depending on language. Amusingly, the west-coast campus is close to SailDrone's HQ. A major competitor in the ASV space to OPTT.

Anyone else into Kopin (KOPN)? They are suppliers of displays and optical systems for the military, including FPV drone goggle displays for Unusual Machines (UMAC) who count several of the recent Drone Dominance Program Gauntlet 1 winners as customers (orders imminent). $41M private placement from Ondas, UMAC and Theon, $15M funding from the U.S. Army, orders from Lockheed Martin - quite a stack. I might do a brief write up on them in the next few days but I genuinely think there's gains to be had there over the next couple of years if you have the patience. Other than OPTT, the only penny stock I have my toes in but I'm yet to come across another investor.
I'm building positions in OPTT, RNWF, and ECOX. I think they're all priming and would be good for both sorry and long term positions
If you care about pennys, Ocean Power OPTT might benefit from current conflicts and national defense rhetoric. Self powered buoys that host a suite of sensors, possibly provide recharge stations for drones, cool tech. Problem is, they are back ordered and seem to not be ramping up production quickly, so units delivered is dogshit. Still, I bought a lot since it’s dirt cheap. 10,000 @ $0.21 cost basis, and just going to see where it goes.

I have scanned over a ton of tickers and like UGRO the best. Looks very safe aka no dilution and isn't already pumped a lot. The company will likely start putting PRs soon to run it up. Lots of buzz on this one lately. OPTT and KITT could go again with any new mine threats from IRAN so took some lottos in those too.

Got OPTT. Thing is: This stock keeps on going up and down and is somewhat predictable at doing this. So I have been selling high and buying low. Have between 5 and 10k shares at any time. And so far that has been enough to be in it for free, made back my initial investment plus a couple thousand. I still think the company has a future behind it, especially if they get to improve their power generation by using the ocean. But focus now is defense stock, which is a valid use.
OPTT might be an option as well? They make surveillance buoys for the military

OPTT, hoping it goes on sale tomorrow so I can jump back in. I did well with GSAT, in at $1.83 pre reverse split. ABCL has done well for me, they have a nice cash runway and they are in a phase 2 drug trial. Price is down right now, I’ll add some shares if it falls a bit more.
I am long on KULR and have done well swinging OPTT, and will also go long with some shares.
If I had to invest 10k in a pennystock in particular… XPL would be my top choice for a 5 year hold. Personally OPTT. I’m in for $2K at price average of $0.35. My exit target is $1.5 KULR would be my next recommendation. Pennystock-adjacent I’d invest in PDYN, ONDS, AMPX, POET. No specific order. Personally holding all but PDYN
